The Great White Shark circled around its caged prey in a predatory arc, rows upon rows of jagged teeth protruding from its gargantuan jaws tracing along the shallow waters.

Three levels of metal catwalks towered above the metallic aquarium that nearly took up half of the ground floor. Reinforced glass lined up the tank, with the single predator impatiently navigating the waters as its lone prey remained poised above its jawed reach, at least for the moment.

"Do you know why you're here, Miss Robinson?"

The teenage girl known as Holly Robinson finally looked up as Warren White's haunting visage leered at her.

What was left of her Saturday outfit had been stretched and torn to shreds, leaving only a revealing red blouse that had been cut off at the midriff and baggy pants ending at the ankles. A mane of unkempt raven locks cascaded down her shoulders.

A foreboding shiver rattled her wry figure as she continued to "pose" in front of the dozen or so suited henchmen watching hungrily from the catwalks.

Of course, it didn't help her current situation that she was also standing in the middle of an adult-sized shark cage hovering precariously close above a feeding aquarium.

Resting his forearms on the catwalk railing in front of her, White's lips slowly parted revealing the miniature daggers adorning his gums in perverse anticipation for her response.

Gulping deeply as her eyes flickered downwards towards the awaiting shark before returning back to his level, she swallowed whatever gumption she still possessed and refused to give him the satisfaction of an answer.

Her defiant stoicism merely amused the crime boss even further. "I'd ask if the cat got your tongue, but after tonight I don't think your 'den mother' will be doing much of anything. So, I'll just cut to the chase..."

White then snapped his fingers, an authoritative hand signal that was immediately reciprocated by the crane arm currently hoisting up the shark cage suddenly lowering itself downwards.

Jolted forward by the sudden dropoff, Holly instinctively threw herself against the bars, clinging on for dear life.

The shark cage came within palpable feet of grazing the waters of the tank before it jerked to a stop as White snapped his fingers yet again.

Nodding in affirmation, the thug in the control room pulled back gently at the joystick in the middle of the panel controlling the crane arm.

Falling to her knees as the cage ascended back up, her hyperventilating torso predictably garnered some jeers and whistles from White's subordinates until he held up his hand to silence them before addressing the rattled teen.

"Unlike many of the men you've probably met in your line of work, I'm not in this for the money. It's hard enough keeping your riches as is in this city, and I have no interest in petty squabbles. No, I'm in the empire business. I'm here to tear this city down, and build a better one in its place. A daunting task I know, but if a man who hides his face and operates out of the shadows can do what he's done, then imagine what a man with a face like mine can do."

Clasping his hands behind his back, he continued to pace along the walkway confidently. "However, I'm going to be perfectly honest with you, Miss Robinson. What I do, stopping this city from eating itself, it gets monotonous from time to time."

"Maybe you need a new hobby," she told him irritably, still grasping the bars as he chuckled to himself.

"You catch on fast," he complimented, before gesturing to the side. "I see why the Cat liked you so much."

As if on cue, Thomas Blake sauntered up besides the former Arkham Asylum inmate, casually dusting off his orange jacket as he struck a professional pose next to him.

"My men work very hard to protect my best interests. They have to, day and night. As a matter of fact, you've seen their hard work, firsthand. I trust you've been properly introduced to my right hand man, Thomas Blake," he continued, acknowledging his bodyguard's intimidating form for a moment before smirking. "He is, after all, the reason why you and your friends are here."

Holly merely bit her tongue, fuming silently as she locked eyes with her blonde kidnapper before White cleared his throat.

"My men are not animals, but on occasion I do allow them to exercise certain….urges. I'll spare you the details, but unfortunately for you Miss Robinson, this is one of those times," he finally said, straightening his tie.

"Up to this moment, I've allowed you the decency of keeping your modesty up, amongst other things. As of now, I am revoking that privilege."

"If you refuse to comply with my request, my fingers will snap together like this…" Simulating his pale fingers pressed together, he continued with the same sadistic grin plastered over his face. "At which point you will be dropped inside that bank, and submerged completely. The door to your cage will be opened, and well….. need I go on?"

Letting the implication hang between the teeth of the Great White Shark swimming below, he paused for dramatic effect before continuing. "You will remove every article of clothing you have on, or that creature down below will have the pleasure of removing the skin from your bones. That is non-negotiable, I'm afraid."

Instinctively covering her arms as she felt the gaze of White's man devour her trembling form, Holly looked down at the literal shark for a moment as she weighed what little options she still had left.

"Once you've removed your clothing, you will entertain my men, thoroughly until I say enough. You will give them the performance of your life, because it could very well be the last thing you do in this lifetime. I assume you have experience with this, so I won't labour over the specifics as long as they are sufficiently invested in what is happening. This is the only thing you have to do to stay above water, Miss Robinson," he instructed her, speaking in such an emotionally detached tone that the girl almost flinched.

"What, you guys couldn't find this stuff online or something?" she mocked weakly, her voice quivering with every word.

"I'm going to say this one last time, Miss Robinson. You can either entertain my men, or your struggles will entertain the shark before it rips you apart limb by limb," White repeated, ignoring her snarky retort.

"I think I'd rather take my chances with Jaws," she shot back defiantly.

"That choice is yours, of course," he shrugged, before holding up his hands. "You can refuse and die a most gruesome and excruciating death now or you can do what I tell you, and only wish you were dead. If it's any consolation, you can rest assured that I'll be entertained either way."

"Now that we've established the rules of this little game, let's get started, shall we?" he beamed, bouncing back on his heels as he prepared to utter the first command just as all hell broke loose.

His next string of words were suddenly cut short by an explosion of noise and busted metal originating from the ground floor, one of the previously parked delivery trucks bursting through the garage entrance below.

All heads and hands snapped to attention and scrambled for their weapons as the truck continued to barrel across the floor, startling even the composed and confident Warren White who was then tackled off his feet by the ever responsive Blake.

Teetering on its eight wheels as it continued cruising forward, the truck finally crashed into a nearby shipping container just as White's men overcame their initial shock and began to open fire on the vehicle from their vantage points.

Letting loose with a hailstorm of lead that instantly obliterated the windshield and driver's side of the now smoking truck, the gunmen continued to spray wavy patterns of stray bullets along the exterior of the vehicle leaving nothing to chance.

As volley upon volley of rounds rained down on the transport vehicle, Holly merely backed away against the back of the cage in both shock and relief knowing what was about to happen.

"How ya like that, Catwoman?" one of the thugs called out, continuing to spray downwards into the car seats.

"You shoulda stayed dead, bitch!" another one taunted, echoing his colleague's hubris as the others only paused to reload before emptying their clips.

"It's her," Blake growled angrily, still kneeling next to the seething White before offering him a hand up to his feet.

"I suppose some people are too stupid to know when to die," Great White grumbled angrily, going back on his previous words before turning towards the truck.

Unbeknownst to them all, a feminine silhouette stealthily maneuvered herself down from a half-opened skylight, using her whip to steady her descent as she descended into the warehouse undetected.

In the meanwhile, White's thugs continued to unload their ammunition at an unmanned truck with a granite stone lodged into the accelerator pedal to facilitate its movement onwards into the warehouse at least until the resulting impact against the container damaged the engines.

Pinpointing her first target on the top level of the walkway maze, Selina let her legs stretch outwards before swinging back and forth to garner the necessary momentum before she finally let go of the ceiling scaffolding.

"Uuuggghhh…" The gunman's head jolted forward towards the ground in a groggy stupor as both of Catwoman's knees smashed into the base of his skull, her aerial attack more than enough to knock him flat on his stomach.

Continuing to roll on her back as the momentum cushioned her landing, she lashed out with her right leg and drove her heel into the knee of the closest unsuspecting thug still oblivious to her surprise entrance.

Knocked off-balance with a surprised yelp, he fell hard on his sides with his rifle slipping through the metal railing and down below. The thug started to get back up only for Selina's other boot to strike him square between the eyes and knock him back down.

Sparing no second while she was still in her preferred element, Selina sprang back up to her feet and uncoiled the whip en route to the last remaining thug on the top level.

Just barely catching her slender figure dashing towards him out of his periphery, the henchman snapped to his right only for Catwoman's whip to expertly curl around his gun muzzle right in the nick of time.

Wrenching backwards with a strained grunt, Selina easily disarmed him then with another rearing motion lassoed his neck with the whip.

He started to claw at the whip only for Selina to grasp the handle with both hands and yank downwards with authority.

Launching herself into the air after one last tug causing him to teeter forwards, she nearly beheaded him with a devastating running knee strike just below the chin. As his head rolled back towards the ground, Selina nearly collapsed atop his chest as they both toppled over to the floor as a result.

Granting herself one second to catch her breath, she grabbed hold of the railing to push herself up only to peer down at the next wave of hostiles now aware of her presence.

"Guys, she's up here!" someone yelled out, cocking his Uzi and firing at the catwalk she was currently on.

Reaching into the backpack as others followed the thug's example and began joining in with automatic rifle, she made a sweeping motion with one hand towards a firing duo on the level below before cartwheeling over the opposite railing.

Oblivious to them, a spherical object thudded to the floor next to them courtesy of Catwoman's hand, rolling between their feet before beginning to emit a shrill blinking sound.

"What the-?" Looking down, one of them began to inspect the peculiar device further when Selina pressed the trigger on the handheld detonator she grasped with one hand whilst latching on to the riveted bar surface with the other.

Exploding in a blinding light that encompassed both men in dazzling fashion, the now disoriented guards blindly covered their faces as Selina pounced down on them.

Twisting her body around in mid-air, she wrapped her upper body around the closest thug in a loose headlock before lashing out with a spinning heel kick that caught the other in the chest and sent him sprawling backwards.

As her feet touched the ground, she tightened the vice hold before bringing her knee up and thrusting it upwards into his face in a fluid motion until he crumpled to the floor.

The thug whom she had kicked attempted to rush back at her only for Selina to sidestep his attempted rifle whip and reappear on his blindside with her leg shooting up to his level. Craning his neck backwards, he was greeted by Selina's heel nearly caving his face in and knocking his now motionless body against the railing where he slumped down next to his equally unconscious partner.

Peering over the railing at the still caged Holly Robinson, Selina only had time to flash the girl a reassuring look before the sound of racing footsteps to her left demanded her immediate attention.

Straightening out her whip arm as a thug finished reloading his weapon as he bounded up the stairs to her level, she pressed the other hand against her still throbbing thigh wound as the stitches continued to dig into her skin with every move she made.

Matters only became more complicated when a second thug suddenly re-emerged behind her, sporting a handgun as he aimed at Catwoman's back.

"Don't you worry, Cat bitch. I got a bullet for each of ya nine lives!" the one in front of her taunted, squeezing the trigger just as Selina leapt into action.

First cracking the whip in his direction to force an instinctive flinch, she then twirled around on her heel and wrapped the coiled end of the weapon around the second man's outstretched pistol arm.

Bringing her right leg level with the whip itself, she expertly lassoed her own leg with the leathery snake before stomping back down to the ground.

Utilizing her near superhuman lower body strength to yank him towards the intended direction, the man attempted to bring his hands up but was too late to stop his forehead from smacking audibly against the metal bars.

Untangling the whip from his now limp forearm, she reared it back at the first thug and ensnared his ankle with ease. Pulling up with both hands, she tripped him off his feet then bounded forward before his back even hit the floor.

Covering the necessary distance with a one-handed cartwheel across the catwalk, she completed the turn with a momentous punt kick square to his face.

As his arm dangled limply off the edge of the catwalk, Selina began stalking back towards the still smarting thug sorely coming off the railway with the pistol still in his grasp.

"You little-gah!" His incensed growl sputtered into an incomprehensible gurgle as Selina casually rammed her elbow into his exposed throat in a single motion.

Clutching his now bruised trachea with his breathing becoming more and more disjointed, she weakly raised his weapon only for Selina to grab his wrist and wrench it upwards behind his shoulderblade forcing him to a knee.

Stepping over his forearm with one leg, Selina simply twisted clockwise towards the man's back until she heard the scintillating crunch of his elbow wedged between her two thighs.

Easily tearing the pistol away from his now limp arm as he began writhing pathetically on the floor, she inspected the weapon for a moment as even more footsteps began to head up the stairway.

"There she is! Shoot her now!" a thug screamed out, flanked by another gunman to his right and another one scrambling up the stairs behind her.

"Screw it," she muttered under her breath, before firing two rounds into the kneecaps of the first thug to reach the catwalk.

Raising the weapon again, she fired another round into the second man's right shoulder, the sudden impact of the bullet causing the man to topple over the railing and impact the floor of the level below.

Turning around, she fired one last carefully aimed shot into the ankle of the thug attempting to rush her from behind. Tripping over his feet, he flailed wildly in the air before nearly denting the bottom metal bar of the railway with his gaping face.

Discarding the pistol on the floor, she checked for any further hostiles on her level before starting towards the stairs.

"Mitch, there's been a change of plans. On behalf of Catwoman, Miss Robinson has decided not to play by our rules. You know what happens next."

"Yes sir Mr White," the thug named Mitch said into the walkie-talkie, leaning forward in his seat inside of the control room as he reached for the joystick controlling the crane.

Pulling it down purposefully, he watched behind the glass window as the cage with Holly still inside began lowering towards the waters and by proxy the awaiting Great White.

"Shame too. I really wanted to see those panties," he mumbled to himself, beginning to fantasize about what could've been while being completely oblivious to what was about to happen right in front of him.

SMAAASSH! The glass panel suddenly exploded as Selina Kyle crashed through in a graceful somersault, her flying form colliding with his unsuspecting torso just as the joystick was about to come fully down.

Barreling into his chest and knocking him off his chair, Mitch desperately fumbled for his holstered pistol only for Selina to deliver a mounted right cross across his face and render him unconscious.

Standing up, she turned back to the panel he was previously operating, and upon eyeing the joystick, immediately pushed it back in the opposite direction.

Managing to stop the torturous descent just in the literal nick of time, the cage briefly flirted with the waves before rising back up towards the ceiling.

Manipulating the crane as it continued to climb up, Selina tugged the joystick to the left as it reached its original height.

A metallic screech briefly escaped the machinery as it heaved the cage towards a more solid landing. Depositing the rectangular enclosure with a soft thump along the smooth surface of the catwalk just above the marine tank, Selina's shoulders slumped forward in relief as she let go of the joystick.

"I'm coming Holly," she breathed to herself, climbing atop the control panel and reaching for her waist.

Brushing aside some dangling glass shards still hanging from the window frame, she unwound the whip and cracked it towards one of the low hanging ceiling lights.

Tugging at the now outstretched length until it became taut in her two-handed grasp, she jumped forward letting her body relax in the air as she swung towards the cage.

However, in her slightly elated emotional state at literally being fingertips away from reuniting with Holly Kyle neglected to see a hulking shadow lunging towards her blind side while she was still airborne.

"Oomph." That was the only thing to escape her lips as Thomas Blake's oversized forearms wrapped around her legs in mid-air and pulled her back down to Earth, literally and figuratively.

Both adversaries nearly landed on top of each other on the level just above Holly, Selina's entire midsection absorbing most of the impact while Blake only favored his left side.

Gasping loudly as the sudden plummet nearly knocked the wind out her, she nevertheless began forcing herself forward on shaking elbows and knees with Blake arching backwards with his hand reaching inside his jacket pocket for yet another weapon.

Flipping over on her sides as she fought to contain a brief nauseating spell threatening to tear her stomach apart, she was cognizable enough however to detect that familiar chink.

Jerking forward as yet another Bowie knife plunged itself into the exact spot where her waist was, Selina replied by kicking out at the handle and managing to knock it out of his hands and after spiralling off the edge of the catwalk out of his reach.

Clambering up to her feet clumsily, she leaned against the railing for support while he rose up with an intrigued yet slightly annoyed look on his face.

"I'm almost impressed, Selina. It truly does take a special kind of stupid to escape a relatively painless death, then come all the way back here just to die the most agonizing and excruciating way possible. You must really love this Holly to make her watch me dismember you limb by limb," he taunted, removing his jacket with yet another dramatic flourish and once again baring his chest muscles.

Gathering up her whip in one hand, Selina assumed a defensive position even with her bandaged torso still throbbing from the fall. "If this is your idea of flirting, I can see why you never got a girlfriend."

"A human one, anyways," she added much to his visible ire, beckoning him forward as she began backing towards the stairs.

Smirking, he reached into his back pockets and began outfitting himself with custom designed hand gauntlets with razor-sharp blades protruding from each metallic knuckle.

"Last time we fought, I made the mistake of attempting the humane way to end you. That was my mistake. Rest assured no such quarter will be given now," he told her, adjusting the gauntlets before lunging forward to end their feline rivalry once and for all.

Though sheer adrenaline powered her fatigued joints and her instincts were as sharp as ever, almost nothing could've prepared Kyle for Blake's unrelenting onslaught of metal-tipped rights and lefts.

Reacting on sheer instinct instead of sight, she skipped back with every punch thrown and contorted her body around every sporadic martial arts kick he aimed her way. His fists were metallic blurs in their own right, the fresh memory of their last encounter obviously fueling his near fanatic desire to pummel her into the ground.

Arching her back towards the floor as his latest backfist tore through the metallic railing where her neck was, she rolled backwards on her shoulder with her whip at the ready.
Crackling it towards him in a desperate arc, Blake merely tilted her head to the side to avoid the potential lasso around his neck before rushing forward to intercept her.

Tackling her just underneath her armpit with all of his weight now ramming into her already bruised ribs, Selina squirmed weakly as he continued to run forwards with her midsection being slowly crushed by his forearms.

Finally slamming her against the railing, he drove one punishing knee into her ribs to soften her up before forcing her head back up against the metal bars.

"There's another difference between us, Selina. You dress like a cat; I've killed cats bigger than the both of us combined," he mocked her yet again, before bringing his dominant fist closer to her face.

Desperately latching on to his wrist to prevent her eye from being gouged out by the bodyguard, Selina continued struggling even as the rusted metal bars bit into her lower back.

The trifecta of blades inched dangerously close to her widened right pupil, and with whatever adrenal reserves she had left running out by the second it was becoming overwhelming closer that his pure raw strength was simply too match for her willpower.

Seeking somewhere else to focus on besides the pointed tip of the blade literally millimeters away from her face, Selina out of frantic necessity spotted a nearby fire extinguisher hooked alongside the wall next to the catwalk.

An idea, born from something she had seen years ago from the Bat himself, suddenly dawned on the cornered cat burglar.

As she turned back to his sneering expression, she silently extended her gloved tips hoping that it wasn't too late.

"Maybe if you put half the effort and energy finding that girl into actually learning how to fight this wouldn't be so easy for me. Maybe if you-!"

His next words instead became a surprised grunt as Selina clawed the left side of his face with her glove, just barely managing to rake at the skin in order to force him to break the hold.

Bringing both knees up, she stunned even further with a double kick to his bare chest in order to create distance between them.

Unleashing both claws now as he took a step back towards the stairs, she looked at the red device just to confirm her next move before unleashing both claws and running forward.

Snapping out of his surprised state just as she was on him, he easily swatted aside her initial volley of strikes before parrying a palm strike intended for his neck with a glancing blow to her shoulder.

One of the blades attached to the gauntlets just barely managed to nick her suit in the process, slicing through the leather and inflicting another shallow laceration that sent Kyle reeling back.

Now clutching her arm sorely as crimson red began filling up the slight hole in the suit, she swallowed the pain at least for now and rushed forward with another claw strike.

Easily sidestepping the attack, he grabbed hold of her flailing free arm and with a mere twist of his hip judo flipped Catwoman over his shoulder and into the stairway below.

Landing uncomfortably on her right shoulder before nearly aggravating every other injury plaguing her already sore body on the way down, Selina tumbled to the floor on the level below with what seemed like a potential concussion on the way and what felt like broken glass from inside her skin jabbing painfully at her sides.

Rolling over on her sides as her right arm reached inside the backpack, she could only rely on one thing to help her maintain some semblance of a second wind: Blake's hubris.

Sure enough, the former zookeeper was almost drunk off of his dominance of the infamous cat burglar as he strutted down the stairs. Ignoring the claw marks just below his ear, he continued to wear a predatory grin as every muscle in his sculpted chest bulged in perverse anticipation of what was surely to come.

"Good try," he laughed arrogantly, calmly scraping the metal blades along the railings as Selina shakily willed herself back up to her feet.

"It's time for you to die now, Selina," he finally said, cracking his neck eagerly now that he was on her level. "After this is done, I'm going to snap the little one's neck. It should be painless enough, but unfortunately the same cannot be said for you. I'm going to quite enjoy beating you until your beautiful face is little more than a bloody stain on my fists."

Fingering the trigger behind her back, Selina rolled her eyes yet again as she clutched at her stomach from the other hand.

"Have you made peace with your sins?" he smiled one last time, making his way towards her with both fists raised.

"Not yet," she retorted simply, before unveiling Batman's Remote Claw in her right hand and firing off the two-pronged claw towards her intended target.

Predictably, Blake easily dodged the clawed blur as it whistled past him. Chuckling as it soared out of sight and seemingly out of sight behind him, he smirked at Selina. "I think you missed."

Oblivious to him, his face was never the target.

The claw instead latched onto the fire extinguisher behind him, its two metallic teeth biting into the device before a separate claw suddenly shot out from the other end hurtling towards the secondary target.

Just as Blake was about to pounce into action, he suddenly felt a slight pinch on his right shoulder. Frowning at this sudden distraction, he turned around only to see a 20-pound metal container hurtling towards his unprepared head.

SMAACK! Flesh met metal in a sickening thud that echoed throughout the entire warehouse, the now dent fire extinguisher nearly knocking the overconfident Blake's head clean off his shoulders in a single motion.

A single burst of crimson exploded from his mouth as he lurched forwards groggily, inadvertently walking into Catwoman's next attack.

Now wielding the gadget with both hands, she took a step forwards summoning what strength she had left before swinging the blunt end of it into his face.

His knees gave out at that very moment, his previously disciplined mind now disoriented beyond recovery thanks to the surprise attack by the ever crafty feline fatale.

Falling down to one knee with his draped limply around the metal railing for support, he glowered up at the still standing Catwoman only to be knocked down by a powerful right cross to the face.

"That's the real difference between you and me, Blake," Selina smiled, spitting out crimson at his now unconscious body sprawled out on the floor. "I cheat."

"Indeed you do."

Whirling around, Selina Kyle found herself in a rare loss for words as Warren White stood just a few feet away from her with his right arm wrapped around Holly Robinson's neck easily keeping her within his reach.

Weakly clawing at the man's forearm, Holly's face was a mixture of various emotions: fear of what could happen, horror at what had happened, yet somehow a shaky acceptance of what will probably happen next.

Out of the corner of her eye, Selina noticed the now opened shark cage behind them and putting two and two together, returned her fiery gaze back to the crime boss.

"Let her go," Selina growled angrily, reaching for her whip only for White's forearm to tighten around the girl's neck forcing her inches away from his weaponized jaws.

He responded by unholstering his personal handgun and pressing it against Holly's temple to deter any further struggles from the street urchin.

"Do you have any idea what you started tonight, Miss Kyle?" he told her calmly, ignoring the girl's whimpers as the muzzle began drilling against her skin.

Uncoiling the whip in her right hand, Selina fought to contain her emotions as she responded, "It's over, White. I left some bread crumbs for the pigs in blue to follow here. So unless you want to risk Blackgate, I suggest you let the girl go and cut your losses."

"I don't fear the cell, dear," he almost laughed. "No, I'm afraid the only loss that will come of my arrest will be the city's. If I'm locked up who's to stop the real monsters from taking back over and destroying everything I've built?"

"You say that like you're not holding a gun to a little girl's head?" Selina seethed back at him, her point failing to register with the grinning kingpin.

"I must admit to a bit of a learning curve, Miss Kyle. See, I underestimated your weakness. Mr. Blake, much to his detriment, did as well." Sighing for a moment, he almost pitied the fallen bodyguard before looking up at Selina.

"You were willing to do all of this. Sacrifice your body, your security, your reputation, all in the name of love….." He spat out the last word almost out of disgust. "You did all this, and for what? To save one insignificant life."

Mentally blocking out his monologue as he continued to speak, Selina's eyes shifted slightly downwards to meet Holly's frightened expression, her pupils threatening to pop out of their sockets.

Subtly mouthing are you okay as Holly slowly nodded, Selina continued to maintain eye contact with the gloating crime boss to continuing perpetuating the stalemate.

Tilting her head to the side slightly, she then made a seemingly innocuous biting notion with her front teeth coming down against her lower lip aimed at Holly.

Immediately understanding what was being conveyed, Holly nodded again.

"...So I was thinking to myself, if you were capable of doing all this against me then what would you do for me? You're obviously a woman of many talents, Miss Kyle. It would be a shame to waste them protecting your own weaknesses. The same weakness, I might add, that could get you killed right now," White proposed, pulling back the hammer on his pistol for emphasis.

Now however, it was Selina's turn to smile. "I appreciate the offer, but I think I'll keep the kid. She's got a hell of a mouth, but I like her. Speaking of….."

Taking her cue, Holly gulped down possibly her last breath before biting down on Warren White's wrist, catching the criminal by surprise as the teenager actually managed to draw blood against his pale skin.

His first instinct to pull the trigger was superseded a split second earlier by Selina's instinctive draw of the whip, the leathery snake crackling through the air before wrapping around the barrel of the gun and tearing it away from his grip.

Angrily tossing the girl aside behind him, Warren bared his teeth in a shaking fury as Selina again cracked the whip at him.

Raising his arm just before it could constrict around his neck, White let the weapon curl completely around his arm before grabbing the cord with the other arm and yanking forward.

Taken off her feet within seconds, Selina learning from her previous encounters with Blake contorted her body in mid-air to avoid his clubbing forearms.

Somersaulting to his left and rolling back up behind him, she reared the whip back and lunged towards him just as he wheeled around to face her.

Moving with the unexpected quickness of his namesake, White dodged the first attempted slash by the feline fatale before trapping her left forearm underneath his armpit as she tried for a follow-up backfist.

Hooking the other arm under the opposite forearm as she leaned in to rake at his eyes, White easily manhandled her entire body weight off the floor before clasping his fingers together around the small of her back.

Her shocked grunt quickly turned into an outright shriek as he pulled her into his infamous bearhug, his arms constricting around her lower back to keep her anchored with her legs now fruitlessly kicking out at his feet.

What was once manageable now became unbearable for the cat burglar as she felt his forearms constrict around her waist with the ferocity of a boa, her whip now falling by the wayside as she tried in vain to pry the excruciating hold loose.

His confident grin now returning to him now that Selina was within his literal grasp, White continued to apply near superhuman pressure on her weakened midsection until he could feel whatever fight she still had left seeping through between his fingers.

Writhing futilely against his grip with every agonizing breath she still had left, Selina could only stare venomously into the eyes of the scarred former inmate with her arms still pinned by her sides.

"While you're still conscious Miss Kyle, I want to get a few things off my chest," White sneered, continuing to assault her bruised ribs in his punishing embrace.

Her now dangling feet kicked desperately at the bullwhip just inches out of her reach, prompting White to turn around on his heel taking Kyle with him. Now with his back to it, White continued to relish in Selina's completely agonized grimace while being completely oblivious to a second pair of hands quietly grasping the whip handle.

Wincing heavily with her teeth now stained crimson yet again, she continued to struggle despite beginning to lose feeling in the lower half of her body. Unable to access her gadgets from the belt or backpack, she was completely helpless as White continued to manhandle her like a mere toy in his grasp.

"As soon as I kill you, I'm going to throw Miss Robinson over this railing and enjoy what happens to her. Then, I'm going to pay a little visit to the East End." Selina's efforts became slightly more energized with the mention of that part of Gotham, only for Whit's forearms to continue biting into her spine. "I'm going to burn down whatever litter you raised those degenerates in. Anything or anything that survives will be fed to the shark. After that's done, we'll be even and I can continue saving this city from itself. But that's then…"

Opening his mouth fully to show off his sharpened teeth, he gave her one last fiendish smile as he prepared to bite down on her feminine flesh. "Let's finish what we started now, shall we?"

Still grunting, Selina was about to respond when something, or rather someone behind him caught her eye.

"Couldn't...agree…..more," she breathed out in between pained breaths, before letting her body grow limp entirely awaiting what was about to happen.

Snapping forward, White's teeth came within a hair's length of penetrating Selina's neck before Catwoman's whip suddenly wrapped around his neck forcing him back.

Gagging in a surprised stupor as the tight cord curled around his pale neck, he was certainly taken off-guard but unfortunately not taken off feet.

Fortunately for Selina Kyle, that was more than anything for her to capitalize.

Peeling one arm from the bearhug so he could grab the whip and prevent it from fully choking him, he turned around to see much to his great shock the battered Holly wielding the other end with a slightly frightened yet at the same time resolute expression painted across her youthful face.

Craning his head back around, he was greeted aptly by Catwoman's now freed right arm lashing out in a desperate blur across his face. Slashing his already scarred visage in one clean strike, the Great White finally flinched as he felt his own blood trickle down in between his pointed teeth.

Wriggling the rest of her body free with ease with White now lurching backwards, she launched herself upwards by kicking off his bent front leg and rammed a knee into his now bleeding face.

Hoisting herself up so that her waist was now level with his collarbone, she brought both legs up around his neck in an impromptu yet effective headscissors. Locking both ankles together behind his neck before twisting her body towards the railing, she relied on his still surprised state to force him along for the ride in this unorthodox sequence of moves.

Shifting the momentum to the right before finally somersaulting towards the metal bars, she mentally willed whatever strength was still left in her thighs to lift the man off his feet.

Against all odds, Selina flipped over the railing with White still trapped between her thighs. Simultaneously catapulting him overhead while managing to cling on to the bars at the same time, White only had time to let out an almost incredulous wince before his feet finally left the ground and took to the air.

"Holly!" Selina yelled out as White toppled over the railing now with Selina's legs disentangling themselves from his now flailing body disappearing over the edge.

Keeping one arm wrapped around the bars as Holly tossed her the whip, Selina briefly contemplated letting what was about to happen play out to its utterly ironic conclusion but within the next second thought better of it.

Warren White came within a single foot of splashing headfirst into the water before the bullwhip curled around his left ankle.

Jutting to a painful halt with his body now hanging above the enclosed body of water, Warren White nevertheless came face-to-face with his oceanic counterpart whose jagged fin circled eagerly just above his arms.

Groaning for a moment before ignoring the now searing gash across the area where his nose used to be, he could only watch as crimson drops seeping down from his open wound splashed into the water below if only to further whet the shark's appetite.

Then, Warren White laughed.

Perhaps it was a response to the almost cosmic irony of his current predicament, perhaps something even deeper and darker than that.

But regardless, there was one thing that had to be acknowledged.

"Well played...Miss Kyle," he smirked under his breath, continuing to laugh hoarsely with only the looming shark to keep him company.

Straining greatly as she finished tying her end of the whip to the railing to keep him restrained above the pool, Catwoman glared down at the still cackling crime boss one last time before climbing back over the railing.

Knees nearly buckling upon touching the floor, Selina finally dropped her guard and nearly collapsed into the teenager's arms who tearfully shouldered her protector as the two finally reunited.
