Aziraphale tugged on his fingers and his ears perked at the sound of footsteps approaching the shop's entrance, only for them to become a mere echo as the steps drifted away yet again. His mouth felt dry as did his throat and he had the sudden urge to pull on something if only it would keep his mind occupied with anything but the anticipation he felt. The angel let out a frustrated grunt and resumed his pacing from before.

"No." Crowley's voice rang from behind a bookcase. "Because I said so." He remained silent for a moment as he listened to the other person on the line. "Nonono, I don't care." He shook his head. "Oh, so if Maggie jumps off a bridge, you will too?"

Still feeling restless, Aziraphale joined Crowley behind the bookcase where he found the demon looking out one of the windows.

"I said around the area." Crowley stammered and shook his head. "Well, then…" he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, "ah, ah now when did I say that?"

Aziraphale licked his lips and peaked his head out towards the door.

"No. No. Turn around." He growled. "I can clearly see you not listening." He waved. "Well, life's not fair, not even for us." Crowley sighed and placed his hand on his hip. "You said you wanted to take a breather and we agreed you would stay within the area where we can feel you."

The angel let out a long breath and reluctantly sat on the sofa.

"Ngk…well, when you have your own bloody child, you can do whatever you wish but unfortunately you are my bloody child, and you will do as I say." The demon growled and pointed to his left. "But don't drink too much." Crowley clicked his tongue as he noticed Mrs. Sandwich eye him from across the street, sending him a not so nice gesture his way. "Yea? Well, you tell Mrs. Sandwich to have her own daughter if she wants to get someone pissed." Crowley's full attention was on his daughter as he growled once more. "Look both ways before crossing the street like that! …Yes, you can discorporate!"

Cassi walked past the shop and playfully tapped on the window. "Stay with Muriel and be careful…yes…I don't think so...because…right, love you too." The demon released a big sigh as he pressed the end button on his phone. "And you want another one of those, ugh." He plopped down next to Aziraphale on the sofa. "You alright, angel?" He crossed his legs and placed a hand behind Aziraphale.

"Ah, ye-yes."

Crowley puffed out air from the corner of his mouth and ran his fingers through his hair. "Clearly," he sniffed, "he's not coming…nobody is." The demon gave Aziraphale a reality check. The angel grunted in response and tried to stand, only to have Crowley pull him back. Aziraphale closed his eyes and pinched his nose. "You want some wine?"

Aziraphale shook his head.

Crowley bit his lip and slowly nodded as he looked around the shop. They remained silent for a while with only the voice of the pedestrians outside echoing within the bookshop. Crowley could see how Aziraphale was bothered by the fact heaven did not take his call. The circle on the floor did not glow no matter how many times Aziraphale tried to reach heaven. Crowley tried to comfort the dejected angel as best as he could with Aziraphale insisting it was alright, that he was indeed alright with heaven casting him completely away.

Crowley sighed and patted the angel's thigh. "You won't fall. I promised I wouldn't let you."

Aziraphale opened his eyes and looked down at Crowley's hand, his ring a promise of their future together. "I told you; I wouldn't mind falling knowing you'll catch me." He closed the little gap they had between them and tenderly kissed the demon.

Crowley stroked Aziraphale's cheek. "I know you mean that but-" he squeezed his hand gently, "-it's alright to also feel…the way you are feeling right now."

Aziraphale's breathing felt shaky at Crowley's words because he was completely correct. He did not care if he fell because he knew Crowley would be there for him no matter the consequence; however, the wave of feeling utterly abandoned by something you knew for all your existence was something Aziraphale seemed to not be completely ready for. "Will…will it hurt?"

"Pfft," Crowley scrunched his nose, "as if I would allow you to feel pain and besides, they would have to be the stupidest lot to cast you aside." He kissed his cheek. "You are the angelist angel I've known." He stammered. "The rest are complete idiots, well, except for our daughter." He grinned.

He rested his head on Crowley's shoulder. "Technically, she doesn't count. She doesn't come from heaven." He nuzzled closer.

"No, you're right. Seems like a crime to lump her in with that lot." Crowley wrapped his arm around Aziraphale's shoulder and pulled him closer. "Our daughter comes from the most extraordinary angel to have ever existed. The purest angel…with the magnificent thighs…glorious ass…delicious cock."

"Yes, thank you, I did hear you before." Aziraphale chuckled while his fingers began to absentmindedly pull on his silver scarf like piece. "I apologize for feeling this way. To be honest, I feel disappointed in myself for feeling disowned by heaven, by God, by…everything. I know I shouldn't but-"

"And why shouldn't you?" The demon raised a brow.

Aziraphale pulled back and eyed the demon carefully. "Because…because you might think I regret choosing you over them…choosing us, our daughter, our family, our future."

Crowley scoffed and pushed Aziraphale back onto the sofa and proceeded to straddle the angel. "Now you're being ridiculous." He lowered his head and gifted the angel with a tender kiss. "I don't think so. Wouldn't dare to. I know it's hard for you to navigate this new version of you. The one where it tells heaven to bugger off. The one where you don't think the feelings you have for me are wrong. The one where it sees everything heaven has done, and you no longer see it as plain as black and white. It's hard for you, I understand," he entwined his left hand with the angel's and guided it to his own heart, "but you have me, you'll always have me there with you as I have been for years. I know you don't regret us, angel, but I do think you regret how it ended with heaven."

Aziraphale opened his mouth to interject though Crowley made sure to continue before he did. "Angel, listen to me," he spoke softly, "what you regret is not being able to do what you set out to do when you left months ago and that was to make a difference and now," he stroked Aziraphale's cheek, "you forever lost the opportunity to fix what is broken."

A teary eyed Aziraphale smacked his lips together and gently nodded in agreement. "Perhaps you're right." He whispered.

"It's an ancient system, heaven and hell. You can't change a stubborn mind."

"You can persuade its heart."

Crowley stammered. "Eh, true but heaven doesn't have one. At least not anymore because I'm looking at him right now." He smirked and kissed the angel once more. "I know what will cheer you up."

"Oh?" he asked breathlessly.

"You want to punish me?" Crowley grinned ear to ear.

Aziraphale chuckled lightly. "Not at the moment, thank you."

Crowley grinded his hips further down onto the angel. "Come on, it'll make you smile. I have been a very naughty demon." He pouted playfully.

Aziraphale palmed Crowley's ass and shook his head. "You've been nothing but a wonderful demon, father, betrothed."

Crowley scrunched his nose and pecked Aziraphale's lips. "I love you."

The angel smiled lovingly and began to taste the demon's lips with his. Aziraphale felt Crowley respond accordingly as he began to slowly rock his slinky hips back and forth. "Sssay it back." The demon broke their kiss.

"Make me." Aziraphale stuck his tongue out playfully only for Crowley to scoop it with his own tongue and begin to ravish his lips.

Crowley's rocking became a bit faster, especially when he felt Aziraphale's own erection constrict with his through their fabric. "You're infuriating. I don't even know why I'm still with you." Crowley teased.

"Because you love me though, not as much as I love you but that's beside the point." He teased back and gave the demon a long kiss. "I love you too, Crowley."

Crowley expressed a victorious smirk, leaned in, and bit the angel's bottom lip. "Ah, um…" Aziraphale pulled back as Crowley tried his best to take off his bowtie, "not now, dearest. Cassi is close by."

Crowley groaned. "See? See! Imagine trying to get sexy time with you and we can't because we have our lot of nephalems in our home trying to figure out why they feel so much love coming from our bedroom or wherever it is you decide to fuck me."

"Sexy time?"

"Yessss."

Aziraphale palmed Crowley's ass tighter and pulled him more towards his own body. "Are you upset, love?" He playfully pouted as the demon replied with a slight nod. "You want me to fuck you right now? Have my way with you? Punish you until you beg for forgiveness?"

Crowley stammered and kept on nodding like a small child who was denied a toy. His long fingers playing with Aziraphale vest buttons, wishing he could just rip every item of clothing worn by the angel. Meanwhile, Aziraphale smirked and thrusted upwards, making the demon moan.

"As much as I would love to see you beg for me to put my hard, delicious cock, as you said, inside you," he pouted once more and traced Crowley's lips with his manicured finger, "we can't. At least not right now. Like I said, Cassi is near us, and I don't want to upset her seeing how she seemed to feel better by spending time with other people."

"Right." Crowley sighed. "Yea, yo- ngk, you're right."

"Later, I promise." He laughed quietly. "I'm sorry. It seems you successfully managed to cheer me up but now you're upset." Not a second later, the entrance door chimed, altering the couple of someone entering the shop. "Are you done being with your group, darling." Aziraphale called out and patted Crowley's back, gesturing for him to remove himself.

"Oh!" Muriel gasped and closed their eyes. "I'm not…did not see a thing!"

Crowley removed himself from his straddle position. "Apologies, Muriel," Aziraphale stood and fixed his clothes, "we thought you were Cassi. Um," he looked behind the little angel, "Muriel? Where's our daughter."

"Ah, yes, that's why I came over." Their eyes remained closed. "You said to report any suspicious activity and well…does the Metatron asking me and the rest to leave him and Cassi to talk count as suspicious?"

"Whot?" Crowley and Aziraphale exchanged looks before tripping over each other trying to get to the door.

"...and when was this?"

The Metatron gazed slightly to the side, trying to recall as best as he could, he was ancient after all. "I believe that, what did humans call them, mammoths were roaming the planet."

Cassi's eyes widened as she mentally counted how many years did that mean exactly. Her thoughts were soon interrupted when her parents joined her and the Metatron at their table without asking. She felt her chair slide towards her demon father. "Hello." Crowley growled as he placed his arm on the back of Cassi's chair.

"Hello." Aziraphale smiled politely.

Cassi could feel the tension between all three entities, especially her parents. "He was telling me about the time he last visited earth." She informed softly, trying to soothe the situation.

"Hello," the Metatron pulled out his best smile, "I was having a pleasant conversation with your daughter, Aziraphale." He chuckled. "Quite a bright young angel." He turned to Crowley. "Even if she is half demon."

"Oh, um," Aziraphale remained cordial unlike Crowley who shot daggers behind his shades, "yes she is."

"He says because I'm a little bit more angel, I can visit heaven whenever I'd like, papa, with no trouble at all and," she beamed, "I would make an excellent guardian angel."

"Oh, I'm sure you would, darling."

"There would be no need for you to go up there," Crowley clenched his jaw, "ever, Cassi."

The Metatron kept smiling, ignoring the tension between all of them. "Now, Aziraphale, you called me. You wish for your old job back?"

Aziraphale chuckled nervously, his finger lightly tapping the table. "Erm, no-not at the moment, thank you." He exchanged looks with Crowley.

Crowley stood. "Come, Cassi," he took Cassi's hand, "let's go cause some trouble around the area. It'll be fun."

Cassi smiled and waved goodbye to the Metatron. "Think about what I said, Cassiopeia." He called after the nephalem. "Now, Aziraphale," he turned back to the angel sitting across from him," what's on your mind?"
