Same Day, Liv's Locker, 4:01 PM….
"I'm not gonna yell at her, I'm not gonna yell at her. I'm gonna be calm and I'm not gonna yell at her."
Alexa's game plan was simple. Wait for Liv to come to her locker, have a girl to girl talk about boundaries and how Shane was HERS, and then invite her to hang out in order to smooth over whatever negative emotions might exist between the two of them as a result of the conversation. It was foolproof in the head cheerleader's mind. Except, there's one small issue that she did not see coming. Unbeknownst to her, Liv had gotten into a bit of trouble over the course of the day and a result, she was thrown into detention.
She only found out after Ruby came across her standing by Morgan's locker. She told the punk girl that she had to talk to her best friend about some stuff, and in turn, she informed her of what Liv had actually done to receive punishment. Apparently, Liv's attire for the day was deemed inappropriate for a student attending St. Augustus High. Her skirt was just a tad too short according to Principal Laurinaitis, who glanced at her walking down the halls at around 11, so he reprimanded her for it. As you would assume, Liv wasn't too happy about her choice of clothing being criticized, so being the little spitfire she is, she clapped back with some not so kind words of her own. Words such as, "That's why nobody likes your bitchy daughters", and "You're a real fucking creep for staring at my skirt!"
As a result, Laurinaitis sentenced the girl to 2 weeks straight of after school confinement, AKA detention. And that's how the petite princess found herself standing in front of this girl's locker for nearly an hour. Luckily for Little Miss Bliss however, the waiting was soon to be over. From the corner of her eye, she could see the familiar face of her fellow cheerleader approaching her. The second Liv recognized Alexa's presence, her irritated expression switched to a joyful one.
"Lexi, oh my gosh!" She happily exclaimed.
With a little pep in her step, Morgan made her way over to her fellow blonde and gladly embraced her.
"What's up, girl? I figured you'd be long gone by now. Were you also in detention and I just didn't see you in the room?"
"Hey, girl. Uh, no, no I wasn't. I stayed after because I need to talk to you about something important." Alexa clarified.
"Oh? Oh, is this about last week when I almost didn't catch Dakota when she was coming down from her flip? I promise it won't happen again, I was just off my game that day."
"No, Liv, I'm not here to talk about that. You should go apologize to her about that though, now that you bring it up."
"Already did, captain." Liv stated with a smile.
"Good, good… But yeah, I wanna talk about something else… It's Shane."
"Price Boy? What happened?"
She then gasped loudly.
"He didn't break up with you did he?!"
Alexa's eyes bugged out at her wild assumption.
"What?! No, no we're still together!"
"Thank God, that would've been awful." She replied, sighing in relief.
"Liv, let me finish this time. I wanted to have a talk with you about how you act around him."
Morgan's face showed obvious signs of confusion.
"Um… okay? Well, I'm all ears."
Before she began, Alexa was trying her best to formulate the right sentences in order to come off as non-confrontational as humanly possible when discussing a subject matter such as this.
"Let me… start off by saying that I really do trust you, and I don't want you to think this is me saying that I don't. This also isn't me saying I'm angry at you or anything like that. With that being said, there's a few things I've noticed about the way you interact with Shane that kinda rub me the wrong way." She started.
"What uh… what things?"
That question rubbed her the wrong way as well. In her mind she thought, "What things? I know you know what the hell I'm talking about, don't play dumb." Regardless, she kept that to herself and elaborated anyway.
"Well, for one, the pet names. I understand that you call everyone "honey", and I can accept for the most part. But it seems like you use it with Shane a lot more than others. You don't even just use that one either. I've heard you call him "sugar", "sweetie", and even "babe". Liv, my entire homeroom class saw you refer to my boyfriend as "babe" this morning. And that was on top of you literally blowing a kiss to him. Come on, you have to see how I wouldn't exactly be okay with something like that."
Liv slightly hung her in shame, which made Alexa feel… well she felt bad, but a small part of her felt annoyed as well.
"Yeah, now that you mention it, that wasn't cool of me to do in front of that many people." Morgan sadly admitted.
That response did not sit well with Alexa, and that same annoyed feeling she felt quickly overtook the majority of the space in her brain.
"Now that I mention it? Don't say that as if you didn't know that was a possibility. Liv, I'm sorry, but we're not little kids. If I were to call your ex "babe" in front of a bunch of people when you were still with him, you wouldn't be okay with it. As a matter of fact, let's go even further, shall we? What if I was as touchy-feely with him as you are with Shane? What if I'm over here putting myself in situations where he has no choice but to grab my ass?! What if I fucking flirted with him on a stage in front of almost the entire fucking student body like you did at the Battle of the Bands?!
Morgan was completely thrown off by the head cheerleader's rant and struggled in an attempt to defend herself.
"W-Wait, hold on. I really didn't mean to flirt with him, that's just how I am with people. And-and that thing with my butt was just an accident, I-I didn't mean to-"
She was abruptly cut off by Alexa.
"I didn't mean this, I didn't mean that, I didn't mean this, I didn't mean that, shut the fuck up! Look, I was really patient with you and the whole band thing, but you're making me regret that!"
The angry words from her captain caused Liv to feel even worse.
"You don't have to yell, Lexi. I-I made a mistake and it won't happen again. Just stop being angry please."
Deep in her heart, Alexa knew that lashing out at her friend wasn't the right thing to do, but sometimes…. sometimes people just snap.
"Okay, okay, you don't have the right to tell me how to feel about fucking anything, let's get that shit straight. Stop being angry, you must be joking. I love how instead of apologizing, all you've done so far is lower your pretty little head and try to get me to feel sorry for you. And I gotta admit, for a minute I was. But no, NO! This whole time I've been playing second fiddle to three different girls when it came to MY fuckin boyfriend! And you know what, I was fine with it, but deep down I knew there was something weird with you specifically. The second you started talking about that "Musical Marriage" shit, I should've killed it then and there. But nooo, I have to be "Nice Alexa" and just let everything slide. Fuck that shit, you need to understand! Tell me this, why the hell are your things in his room, on his NIGHTSTAND of all places?!"
Liv's eyes were tearing up and her bottom lip was quivering. The poor girl didn't want to answer for fear of just making it worse. However, her lack of an answer was infuriating Alexa all the same.
"I'm… I'm sorry, Lexi." She said, desperately trying to keep herself from breaking down.
Bliss was not having that.
"I didn't ask you if you were sorry or not! Why was your shit in his room?!"
"Because… because I slept in his bed that night."
Yeah… as soon as those words left her lips, Liv knew she was screwed. Alexa took a second to fully digest what she had said, which led her to ask a follow up question.
"….And where was he sleeping?" She asked in a lowered tone.
"Um… He was… he was next to me in the bed."
Alexa didn't respond at first. For about 45 seconds, not a word was said between the two of them. Liv had tears coming down her cheeks and she was breathing heavily, dreading whatever was coming next. But never in a million years did she expect what indeed happened next. Alexa turned around for a quick second, and then…..
CRACK!
A loud sound echoed throughout the hallway, and the cause of that sound…. was Alexa Bliss' hand going across the face of Liv Morgan. She really smacked the life outta her with all every ounce of strength she had in her body. Liv fell backwards onto her backside, knocked silly from the slap. Bliss looked down at her with venom in her eyes, almost looking like she was about to deliver more punishment. Instead, she gave one final message.
"If I ever see or hear about you flirting with my man again, I'm gonna do more than just slap you once." She said with zero remorse for her actions.
Alexa then turned on her heel and walked away from the scene, leaving Liv in the middle of the floor, holding the side of her face in pain. She wasn't even crying anymore. She was just… she was just heartbroken.
AN: Dude… This chapter was necessary for what I wanna do with the story, but I really hated having to write that. Poor Liv man. Uh… leave a review telling me what you thought and I guess I'll see you in the next chapter. You guys are the best, peace.
