Around the same time that the Trainer Course were beginning their classes. The Performance Course students were also getting ready for their first class of the year.

Lyna Fay soon shifted throughout the students that were in the course just like her. She hadn't anticipated seeing this many students in the course and admittedly it made her nervous.

That was until her Fennekin jumped onto her make her a lot more comfortable in the course as she sat down.

Soon everyone who was in the course found a seat as they all awaited the professor to appear.

However suddenly, the entire classroom began fill with smoke and mist making everyone more anxious than they'd realize.

Lyna and Fennekin tried to stay calm but even they were getting rattled. Suddenly sparks appeared from the stage as a swirl of majestic stars appeared before the students. Suddenly in front of them, a Piplup appeared before them confusing everyone before suddenly before Piplup's trainer appeared before them.

It seemed to be a woman in her late 20's that appeared before them and bowed alongside her Piplup. The woman had dark blue hair that had been trussed up multiple but somehow still looked immaculate. Her slate gray eyes radiated confidence and playfulness as she soon turned to face the class.

Everyone knew who this person was.

"Hello everyone, my name is Dawn Berlitz and I will be the freshman professor of the Performance Course. Nice to meet you!" Dawn said as her Piplup gave an excited cry of hello as well.

The classroom soon erupted into chaos, no one had expected their professor to be a current coordinator, let alone one who had already reached the rank of Top Coordinator. And certainly no one had expected her to teach the freshman students of the course.

However soon things were quieted down as Dawn simply clapped her hands and got the entire class' attention.

"Now now, quiet down. I know this is unexpected for you guys but I demand to given your attention and respect for this course. Now then can anyone tell what a performer in your eyes is?" Dawn asked the class.

The class collectively went quiet with none of them knowing what to say. Soon a few of them raised their hands tentatively and gave answers that they hoped Dawn would like: a showcase participant, a dancer and a coordinator.

"Close but not quite. You see at least in my own view, a performer is someone who can create a beautiful visage with their Pokemon by their side. Someone who can do that can truly be called a performer in my eyes!" Dawn said with such passion that it nearly scared the entire class.

Lyna meanwhile thought about Dawn's words. Would she really be able to create a beautiful visage with Fennekin?

She hoped she would be able to.

Lyna's thoughts however were soon interrupted by Dawn herself.

"Ok I am going to you guys have a 30 minute grace period to get to know each other! Have fun!" Dawn said as the class dispersed for the moment.

It didn't take long for Lyna to find someone to talk. She didn't want to brag but she had always been described as someone with a 'magnetic charm' meaning she could easily attract people to her.

In this case, it was a girl who seemed to be around her age and had a Umbreon by her side. Lyna looked her up and down and considered that she was friendly enough.

"Hey, I saw you with your Fennekin before class and I realized that I had to talk to you. My name is Ema Bjorklund, nice to meet you!"

"Hey my name is Lyna Fay and it is nice to meet you as well." Lyna said in return.

The two girls sat down as Umbreon and Fennekin began to play with each other.

"So you have a Fennekin, I assume you are from Kalos right?" Ema asked as she gave Lyna a small smile.

"Yep and I got my starter from Professor Sycamore, though I decided to be different and attend the Trainer's Academy so I could get some extra experience as a performer before starting my journey."

Ema nodded saying she understood as she revealed that she competed in a few contests with Umbreon before deciding to come to the Trainer's Academy as well.

"Well I hope we both find what we are looking for, honestly I didn't expect Dawn Berlitz herself to be teaching this course. That woman is a legendary Top Coordinator!" Lyna said gushing a bit.

"I know! Hopefully with her help we will be able to become better performers as well!" Ema said as her Umbreon came back to towards her and nuzzled his trainer a bit.

Lyna smiled at the cute display as her Fennekin did the same.

Soon however, she heard an alarm going off indicating that the grace period was in fact over meaning all the students had to return to their seats.

As everyone did in fact return to their seats, Dawn and Piplup soon went back up on the stage and Dawn continued to speak to the class.

"Now then, I hope that you all enjoyed getting to know each other. As a performer getting to know other performers whether they be rivals, mentors and even your friends is a vital skill. It allows you to be able to learn new tricks and ideas and helps you and your Pokemon push the boundaries of your creativity." Dawn said to the class.

The class took in Dawn's words and collectively promised to remember them. Soon Dawn smiled as she had something planned for the entire class.

"Now as a fun way to end our first class, I am going to give you all a special performance with Piplup here!"

The entire class was taken aback by this as they weren't expecting that but the soon began to cheer Dawn on wanting to see a performance from a Top Coordinator.

Dawn soon took a step back and told Piplup to get ready.

"Alright Piplup! Let's begin with your Bubble Beam!" Dawn yelled out.

Piplup soon jumped up and fired bubbles from his as the bubbles began to move in a circular motion and surround Piplup.

"Now freeze them with Ice Beam!" Dawn yelled. Soon Piplup fired a freezing beam of Ice at the bubbles make them freeze in place and leaving the entire class in awe of the performance.

"Now for the Grand Finale! Spin and use Drill Peck!" Dawn said.

Piplup soon spun around like a top as his beak began to glow white and launched himself towards the bubbles. Soon as he hit the frozen bubbles, little blue sparks surrounded Piplup making him look amazing as Piplup landed in front of Dawn finishing their performance.

The class soon erupted into cheers as they saw the magnificent performance before their eyes.

But Lyna was cheering the loudest as she began to look forward to what this class could teach her.
