The Sylveon made her way through the busy intersection like she had done hundreds of times before. She could path her way through even the strongest and loudest of crowds. She had the incredible power to avoid hitting anyone, even during rush hour. This time was no different. She cut through the crowd like butter. Meeting him was her first priority, and she knew nothing could distract her from that.

This Sylveon's name was Diana.

As she navigated, she pondered about how something seemed familiar with the address she was given. Having traveled between houses for upwards of a month, she just chalked it up to a bit of deja vu.

Taking a shortcut through an alley, the Sylveon jumped over a homeless Buneary. She paid it no mind.

Just as she emerged from the alley, a staircase appeared in the middle of the road in front of her. A Jolteon climbed up on top of it and vanished, followed by a Flareon, and finally, Elizabeth.

She didn't quite recognize the first two, but there was no doubt about Elizabeth. There wasn't anything particularly recognizable about her; Diana just knew.

She hated Elizabeth, even to the point of overriding the innate compulsion to climb in that the dungeon gave her.

However, when she remembered which legendary dungeon this was exactly, she knew she had no choice. Either take it then or regret it forever.

A few seconds after the trio, Diana followed them and vanished into the yellow and red dungeon.

They didn't notice her at first, just talking amongst themselves. If Diana could just keep her head down for a bit, maybe she could sneak past and find Victini before anyone knew she was there. Then she could take as long as she wanted, as they can't touch her if she made it first. It was the perfect plan, all it needed was a bit of luck that she didn't have.

"Well, count your lucky stars everyone!" the Flareon announced, looking at a delivery map. "I mean really, count your lucky stars. We are currently in Victini's dungeon, and Victini is the lucky Pokemon."

Elizabeth was oblivious to anyone following them in. "Wow, never thought I'd end up in one of these."

"I've never been here too. How is there work?" the Jolteon asked. Noticing the distinctive lack of grammar from the Jolteon, Diana finally pieced together who this group was.

"You see, this isn't like a human-made dungeon. It's powered by a legendary Pokémon, and if you find them inside, they can grant you wishes, fix past screw-ups, make you stronger, or even get rid of your bad luck – like this dungeon!" Tony explained.

"So, everyone will luckily walk outta here, huh?" Steve chuckled, and Tony was quick to correct him, "No, only one person can get it."

Tony turned toward Elizabeth, oblivious to the fact that Steve immediately ran off into the dungeon the instant he looked away. "With just three of us, my odds are pretty good," he joked. Now having to compete with Steve, Diana knew that just slinking past wouldn't be an option anymore.

"Aren't you forgetting someone?" Diana revealed herself, surprising everyone, especially Elizabeth.

"Oh no. I'm not dealing with your bullshit today," Elizabeth grumbled, irritated.

"What's the matter? Afraid I'll be proven right?" Diana taunted back, having imagined this exact scenario countless times. Unfortunately for her, Elizabeth had done the same.

"I know what you're trying to do. You're a liar and a cheat! I won't listen to a word you say!" Elizabeth grunted and turned away, turning her nose up.

"Are you projecting your flaws onto me?" Diana smugly asked, forcing Elizabeth back into the argument.

She growled in anger, ready to tear into Diana. "You—"

"I know you won't listen, but maybe they will." Diana interrupted with a smug grin, pointing at Tony.

"What's happening? Where did Steve go?" Tony asked, bewildered at everything that was happening.

Diana turned back to Elizabeth, who was now staring directly at her. "We used to be friends. I admired you. I emulated everything you did. When I saw you manipulate and deceive everyone around you, I did the same. You have only yourself to blame."

"No!" Elizabeth blurted out wide-eyed, letting Diana continue.

"I thought I was different, that we were true friends, and you'd never come for me. But I was wrong. You discarded me the moment I stood in your way," Diana rasped, and Tony recoiled in shock.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Tony attempted to mediate, but he was swiftly ignored.

Diana and Elizabeth's argument broke out into rapid and pointed swearing and screaming, their words unintelligible over each other's voices. Tony kept trying to break it up despite getting thrown out of the conversation, again and again.

Luckily for Tony, a soaking-wet Jolteon suddenly teleporting into the middle of the room was exactly what he needed.

"Steve!" Diana called out, and the Jolteon's head turned instantly to the chaos around him.

"What?- huh?"

"Remember that time Elizabeth asked you out on a date for no apparent reason?!" The Sylveon asked, yelling over Elizabeth.

"Yeah!" He paused for a moment, thinking really hard about when it happened. "Wait, you weren't there at the time, how did you know that?"

"Because Elizabeth is predictable! She saw something to gain from you, and thought you would be an easy target!"

"Don't listen to her, Steve!" Elizabeth yelled, trying to stop Diana, but it was too late.

"She broke into your room and read through your journal!" Diana continued, and the shouting match began anew. The tug of war with Steve as the rope continued on until he decided he had heard enough.

"I know, I know! Look, I don't want to have a role in all this petty drama! I dislike both of you! I have no idea why you think I'm interesting or whatever, just LEAVE ME ALONE!" Steve screamed, and the room went quiet.

"Hmph. I thought you were better than this," Diana grumbled, breaking the silence.

"All of you drive me insane," Tony spoke lightly, as if only part of him wanted everyone else to hear it.

"What?!" Elizabeth and Diana reacted in unison.

"One of you doing this or that should not excuse the other from also being a huge doorknob." Tony paused, taking a deep breath. "Steve already got to the end, so I'm done here." He walked toward the exit, followed by Elizabeth.

"Wait! I didn't take Victini's blessing!" Steve blurted out in an attempt to stop them, but it was already too late. "...Well Diana, that only leaves you to enjoy it, I guess."

Grumbling, he left as well, leaving only a very happy Diana inside.

It wasn't long before the Sylveon was able to find the same door which Steve had before. However, this time, Diana knew what to expect and didn't just dive headfirst into a pool of water without knowing how to swim. Also, she knew how to swim.

"He'll figure it out eventually…" Victini mumbled, waiting for the next person to come in so they could go back to sleep.

As if on cue, a Sylveon emerged from the water.

"Did you say something?" Diana asked as she shook herself dry.

"Oh, don't worry about it. You're the Jolteon's friend, right?" Victini asked, inspecting the Sylveon.

"No, not exactly, but yes, I was with them when they entered the dungeon," Diana confessed.

"Oh well. Doesn't matter to me. Anyways, I sense that you have a lot less luck. What can I do for you?"

Diana smiled. "I have a few ideas."

I'm sorry Steve, but this is where our story splits. I saw so much of you in me, so I thought that you might understand what I was going through. I was wrong about that, and everything I've ever done too. I just wasn't expecting to be kicked while I was down, again and again. But guess what? With Victini's blessing, I can finally break free and live like I've always wanted to: No more dwelling on the past. No more sleepless nights. No more wishing I could take it all back. I can finally stop thinking about all of you and just… Move on.

Goodbye, Steve.

I hope I never see Diana again. While some of my opinions on her have changed, and I no longer believe she deserved all of it, what she actually did still remains. A backstory to it all brings sense, but not justice. Maybe I'm thinking too hard about old debts, and it's time for me to look around where I am now, not where I was before. In other words, I think it's time to move on.

Goodbye, Diana.
