While things were going well in Fang after Raya, Namaari, Sisu, the turtles and everyone else defeated the warriors of Jaw, including Somwang, more things were happening outside the kingdom's grounds, mainly in a certain mountain cave.

During those last few days, since arriving, the Kraang were busy collecting the technology that traveled with them while designing a communication device so they could report what happened.

"Kraang wants to know how what is known as a communication device is going." said a Kraang droid.

"What is known as a communication device is in the state that is known as stable. Kraang can communicate with Kraang's ally so that Kraang can report what has happened to Kraang." another Kraang droid said.

"Okay. Kraang can begin." said the Kraang droid.

Upon receiving approval, the Kraang droid set about entering some commands into the device and when he hit the final button, the device began to function.

In New York City there was an abandoned church, but it wasn't really abandoned, as it was being used as the main lair for the Foot, the main enemy of the turtles, Splinter and any allies of his.

Their leader, the fearsome Shredder was seated on his throne, with his mutant minions, Tiger Claw, Rahzar, Fishface, Bebop and Rocksteady, present in the room.

"Argh. This is ridiculous. We've been waiting for days for a signal from those damn alien brains and we've gotten nothing." said Bebop.

"Zeck, watch your tongue in the presence of the master." said Tiger Claw, Shredder's right-hand man.

"No, Tiger Claw. He's right. You were supposed to report and you haven't. You may consider me someone patient, but my patience has a limit." said Shredder clenching his fists in frustration.

"Well, if it's any consolation, we haven't heard from the turtles these days. Maybe they've managed to wipe them out." said Fishface.

"Then they would have told us in the first place. It's possible something happened." said Rahzar.

"Do you think the Kraang have captured them and kept them for themselves?" asked Rocksteady.

"They better hope that's not the case. I don't like them keeping things from me." said Shredder.

That's when they heard a beeping sound.

From the left armrest a compartment opened and out of it poked the head of a Kraang droid whose eyes were blinking.

"Looks like they've finally decided to call it in." said Tiger Claw.

Shredder touched the droid's head, causing it to project a holographic image of a Kraang droid.

"Greetings, is that one known as Shredder receiving the signal Kraang is transmitting?" asked the Kraang droid.

"Perfectly. Now, report." said Shredder wanting ALREADY to know what happened.

"The plan of the one known as Shredder to lure the ones known as the turtles into what is known as a trap worked well." said the Kraang droid.

"I'm going to dare to ask. But…?" asked Fishface sensing something bad happened.

"Kraang had the ones known as turtles and human allies cornered, but the turtle known as Michelangelo sabotaged what is known as a portal device, generating an explosion that took Kraang to a different dimension where the one known as Shredder and Kraang belong." said the Kraang droid.

"Is that why you couldn't report earlier? Were you on another world?" asked Tiger Claw.

"Affirmative." said the Kraang droid.

"What about the turtles? Are they on the same world as you?" asked Shredder.

"Kraang doesn't know, but Kraang believes the chances that those known as the turtles ended up on the same world as Kraang are 90%." said the Kraang droid.

"What do we do now, master?" asked Tiger Claw.

Shredder thought for a few moments before making a decision.

"I want you to attack the nearest human settlement." said Shredder.

"Kraang wants to know what one who is known as Shredder wants Kraang to do that for." said the Kraang droid.

"Knowing Yoshi's apprentices well, they won't stand still if people are in danger. If you attack a settlement, they'll show up sooner or later and when they do, I want you to take them out." said Shredder.

"Understood, but Kraang doesn't possess enough resources for what is known as an assault." said the Kraang droid.

"I will send reinforcements along with a couple of my men to supervise you." said Shredder.

"Roger that. Kraang send the coordinates of the world Kraang is on. Kraang will be waiting for reinforcements to arrive. Kraang out." said the Kraang droid before the transmission was terminated.

"Sometimes there's just no understanding these guys when they talk." said Bebop.

"Master Shredder, not that I want to question your plans, but do you really think a squadron of those guys will be able to take on the turtles?" asked Rahzar.

"Of course not. They will most likely be defeated. I'm simply using them as bait to lure the turtles in so I can learn of their location." said Shredder.

"Oh, and that way, we can go after them directly. I like that plan." said Rocksteady.

"Bradford, Xever, go with the Kraang reinforcements and report the situation to me at all times." said Shredder.

"As you command, Master Shredder." said Rahzar and Fishface before leaving.

In the turtles' lair, Splinter was in the dojo meditating deeply.

Suddenly, he heard someone enter the den, so he stopped his meditation and walked out of the dojo, seeing that the person who entered was his daughter, Miwa, better known as Karai.

"Miwa, what's wrong?" asked Splinter.

"Oh, I don't know, father. Maybe I'm a little worried about the fact that my brothers haven't been seen in several days." said Karai.

"I know you're worried, but Leo and the others are stronger than they look." said Splinter.

"Normally I wouldn't worry, but it's not just them. April and Casey were with them and they haven't been seen lately either." said Karai.

"I know. April's father has been calling me, asking about their whereabouts. I've managed to reassure him by telling him that my children are with her." said Splinter.

"I'm not saying they're hurt or dead, but something has certainly happened to them." said Karai.

"You are right. I've waited too long already. I think the time has come for us to find out what has become of them." said Splinter.

"But father, I've been inspecting the city these days and I haven't found anything about where they might be." said Karai.

"You came out even knowing Shredder is looking for you?" asked Splinter.

"They are my brothers and my friends. I don't plan on losing them when I just found them." said Karai with determination.

"That's where you take after your mother." said Splinter with a smile, surprising the kunoichi before smiling.

Before anything else was said, a phone call was heard and Splinter pulled out his T-Phone before taking the call.

"Hello?" asked Splinter speaking to the person on the other end of the call. "Are you sure about what you're saying?" asked Splinter receiving a response from the other person. "Okay, I'll go investigate." said Splinter before hanging up.

"What's up?" asked Karai.

"That was Slash. He and his group have spotted two of Shredder's henchmen leading a squad of Kraang droids into an abandoned building." said Splinter.

"If Shredder has made his move, he must know something about the guys." said Karai.

"Yeah, we'd better go check it out." said Splinter before the two left the lair.

Moving quickly from rooftop to rooftop, Splinter and Karai arrived at the abandoned building that turned out to be the same one the turtles and their friends entered days ago.

"According to Slash, this is the place." said Splinter.

Karai pulled out a pair of binoculars with thermal vision with which she could look inside the building.

"I see several heat signatures. I recognize Bradford's and Xever's. The rest are Kraang's." said Karai.

"We'll have to get closer if we want to find out what they're up to." said Splinter getting a nod from his daughter before they set off.

Cautiously, they entered the building and hid behind a pillar through which they peered to see Rahzar, Fishface and several Kraang droids in front of a pink triangular portal.

"Are you sure it will take us to the world where the turtles are?" asked Rahzar, startling Splinter and Karai.

"Affirmative. Kraang has made sure that what is known as the portal leads to the same world Kraang is on, as well as those known as the turtles and their human allies." said the Kraang droid.

"Then let's get moving." said Fishface.

Wasting no time, the group of bad guys entered the portal.

"So that's the reason we couldn't find them. They were in another world." said Karai.

"Yes, but now the Foot and Kraang are in that world." said Splinter.

"We can't let them escape." said Karai before she and Splinter sped through the portal just before it closed.

In the cave that served as a temporary base for the Kraang who arrived on that world, a pink triangular portal opened and out of it came the Kraang droids and the two Foot mutants.

Unbeknownst to them, Splinter and Karai had emerged from the portal shortly thereafter, but used their speed to escape the scene before they could be detected.

"Kraang thank those who are known as Kraang's allies to bring the Kraang reinforcements that one who is known as Shredder said he would send." said a Kraang droid.

"Yes, yes, yes. Whatever you say. How far is the nearest settlement?" asked Fishface.

"Kraang's scan determines that what is known as a human settlement is a short distance from where Kraang is located." said the Kraang droid.

"Good. Attack as soon as possible and form a perimeter around it to prevent anyone from entering or leaving. If you see the turtles or any of their friends, annihilate them on the spot." said Rahzar.

"Roger that." said the Kraang droid.

In short order, an entire squadron of Kraang droids emerged from the cave in the direction of their attack target.

In the middle distance, hidden among the mountain rocks, were Splinter and Karai who were watching the whole thing.

"I don't like this." said Splinter.

"As bad as it is for me to say, I think this is good. If the guys find out about the attack they are going to make, they will come right away to stop them." said Karai.

"True, but that doesn't mean we'll let them act." said Splinter.

With a joint nod, the two ninjas set off to follow the Kraang squad while keeping a safe distance so as not to be detected.

Back at Fang, the turtles and their new friends were enjoying a delicious meal.

"Mmm. I have to hand it to you. This is really good." said April.

"Yeah, I've never tasted anything like it before." said Raph.

"It's still as good as I remembered." said Tong.

"It's not exactly pizza, but it's good enough for me." said Mikey.

"You've got a good hand in the kitchen, Raya." said Leo.

"Oh, it's nothing like that." began Raya slightly blushing. "It's something my ba taught me to prepare with ingredients from all the kingdoms."

"It's certainly an excellent blend of cultures." said Donnie.

Noi let out a baby squeal as she and the ongis enjoyed their plate of food.

"I would eat from this every day." said Namaari.

"And so would I, but it's missing something." said Sisu.

"I know what it is and that's why I thought I'd bring it." said Boun pulling a jar out of his pocket.

"*Gasp* No. Is that what I think it is?" asked Sisu with a smile.

"Hey, what's that?" asked Mikey.

"It's one of the spices we serve at the Gamborium, my family's restaurant. It's the hottest spice you can find. Known as 'Boun-goes-the-dynamite'." said Boun.

"Oh, I like that name." said Casey.

"Can I try some too?" asked Mikey.

"Are you sure? It's not something a lot of people can stand." said Boun.

"Pff. Nonsense. I can handle it." said Mikey.

"If he can, then so can I." said Raph.

"Casey Jones won't be far behind in this spicy challenge." said Casey.

"Boys." commented April rolling her eyes.

"Well, if that's the way you want it." said Boun before sliding the boat across the table towards them.

At first, they scooped in a spoonful, but as soon as they saw Sisu scoop in quite a few spoonful, the others soon scooped in the same amount.

After pouring in the spicy ingredient, they all took a sip of the soup and remained calm.

"Hey… Are you all right?" asked Leo.

"Perfectly." said Sisu.

"No problem." said Mikey.

"Spicy? More like smooth." said Casey.

"It wasn't that big of a deal." said Raph.

They remained quiet for a few seconds until they started panting.

"I-Is it a little hot in here or is it just me?" asked Casey.

"Does anyone have any water?" asked Sisu in an aphonic voice.

"Or something for your throat?" asked Mikey in an aphonic voice.

"Here." said Namaari passing them a pitcher of water.

Sisu immediately took the pitcher and poured some water in her mouth, followed by Mikey and then came Raph and Casey.

"Wow. Dude. That sure was strong." said Mikey breathing a sigh of relief.

"Well, you got a good handful." said Donnie.

"You know? This whole food thing got me thinking about something." began Raya getting the attention of the others. "How about I take you on a visit to Heart?"

"Heart? You mean the kingdom you came from?" asked April.

"Well, since you don't know when you'll be back, it would be nice if you visited the other kingdoms instead of just staying in Fang." said Raya.

"On that I agree." said Namaari.

"Yes, that's not a bad idea." said Leo with a smile.

"The truth is that I'm curious about the other kingdoms too, especially Talon, which is said to be a kingdom specialized in trade." said Donnie.

"What do you say, Noi? Would you like us to visit your home?" asked April getting a squeal from the baby.

"If you're going to visit the other kingdoms, you have to go to Spine. The cold alone there will make your shells freeze your shells off." said Tong.

"I think I can handle it." said Raph with a smile.

"You also have to see Tail. It may only be a desert, but it has its good things, too." said Boun.

"It will have them once we get there." said Casey.

"Oh, yeah. A group trip!" said Sisu excitedly.

"Hehe. Okay, okay. As much as I like the idea of visiting the other kingdoms, we have to go slowly and leisurely. Since Raya has been the first to offer it, we should go to Heart first." said Leo.

"Especially since it is the closest of the other kingdoms." said Donnie.

"Yes, that's also why." said Leo.

"Then it's settled. In an hour, we'll leave for Heart." said Raya, glad to be able to show her home to her new friends.

"Do you think people will be okay with us?" asked Mikey.

"Knowing ba, I'm sure they'll welcome you gladly." said Raya.

"Besides, you're going with a dragon. what's so weird about four humanoid turtles going with a dragon?" asked Sisu.

"She has a point." said Raph.

"All right, everyone, let's get ready." said Leo.

And so, they all went to get ready for their journey to another kingdom without knowing that someone else was making their own journey to another kingdom.
