Robert was standing in the front room of their suite, waiting for Holly. He made sure his tux looked good in the mirror as he felt her hands wrap around him.
"Still incredibly sexy in a tux. How do you do that?" Holly asked him.
Robert grinned as he turned around, taking in the beauty that was in front of him. Holly's dress was long and purple, cut in all the right places. "You look gorgeous." He leaned in and kissed her.
Holly kissed him back, wanting more than anything to stay in this kiss but she knew if they did then their dinner plans would be no more. She gently pulled and looked into his eyes. "You ready to go?"
Robert nodded and held his arm out to her, the locked arms ready to enjoy this night together.
The two went downstairs to the restaurant, Robert had a special section of it blocked off for just the two of them. Also had them make her favorite meal. He wanted tonight to be special.
"You know you really do have this touchy feely side." Holly grinned at him as he pushed her seat in.
"Only with you, you bring out the best in me." He told her as he kissed her head then went over to his seat and sat down. "Have I told you how gorgeous you look?" He asked her.
Holly's face lit up as she nodded. "Second time of many tonight I am sure." She grinned as she reached out to take his hand.
Robert kissed her hand and stayed looking down, his emotions taking over. Last year he thought this was impossible, then in May he thought it was really impossible and now here they were. Not only did they have Ethan, but they had Jayne and Seana now, too.
Holly looked over at him, she was concerned. "Hey, is everything okay?" She asked softly.
Robert looked up into her beautiful brown eyes and nodded. "Perfect, I felt so alone last year. Trying to figure things out, how to survive without you, worried about Ethan and you and now look at where we are."
"Where we always should have been." Holly caressed his cheek. "I wanted this so much. To be devoted to you and us."
Robert kept his eyes locked on hers. "My heart has never been anyone but yours." Robert heard the tune in the room and looked at her. "May I have this dance?"
Holly nodded as the two got up. Walking over to dance, the two locking eyes as they swayed, not saying a word just listening to the lyrics and being lost in each other.
Baby, I'm dancing in the dark With you between my arms Barefoot on the grass Listening to our favorite song When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful I don't deserve this Darling, you look perfect tonight
"You do." Robert finally spoke up, kissing her forehead.
"Oh I love you so much." Holly softly spoke as she gave him a kiss.
The two sat and enjoyed their dinner with no interruptions, happy to have some "you and me" time. When dessert came out, it was raspberry cake with whipped cream on it. Holly hid the smile on her face.
Robert noticed it and smirked, unable to not comment on it, he leaned in. "I've got plenty up in our room." He winked at her.
