Welcome back, everyone. WaterDragonMaverick here with the next chapter of my Owl House D&D fic, "Your Turn To Roll". When we last left off, our heroes began their session by finding that some bad events were happening on the island of Helhemichi. Crops aren't growing well, people are getting sick, and there are even ogres attacking. After helping repair the village and healing some sick kids, our heroes go off to hunt down those ogres so they won't attack the village again. With the ogres defeated, the party then encounters a mysterious Green Knight who informs them something's going on. With that, the team then learns that the ship they arrived on has started getting sick. After thinking things over, the investigation about the Gloom of Helhemichi will now take them to the Southern Swamp.

I should have mentioned this before, but the Green Knight is a real enemy that's featured in the Kobold Press "Creature Codex". They tend to test mortals and serve fey lords and ladies, so having the knight be involved was something I wanted since first looking up the info and having the setting of Helhemichi be a swamp and forest area. If you want to check it out for yourself, I recommend getting the book because there's a variety of other stuff that can be used for this story and any real campaigns you'd be interested in.

Also, I decided to change my plans for Luz's character. Originally, I was going to have her multiclass in Fighter enough times to get Extra Attack, but I thought that having her character get magic items to help her out would be better and fit the fact Luz uses glyphs and her staff in the show. Luckily, there's a weapon that gives an attack as a bonus action and Critical Role's "Boots of Haste". Those will help quite a bit later on and I have the perfect idea for how Luz can get them.

It has also come to my attention that Silence wasn't in the Wizard spell list when Gus used it last time. I say screw it and let him have it for custom reasons and because I'm too lazy to change something that was part of the plot. He just won't use it again because it was probably a single-use item. But for now, it's time to continue the campaign.

After returning from a nice meal, Camila and the kids returned to the basement to continue playing their game of D&D. "Alright, where were we? Oh yes, I remember," Vee said before narrating. "After you wake up rested and ready, you all gather your equipment and prepare to head off for the Southern Swamp."

"I'm ready," King declared.

"Same here," Luz agreed.

"I think we all are," Amity said while the others nodded.

"Just one thing," Camila said as she was looking through one of the books for the game. "It seems that 'Silence' isn't a Wizard spell, Gus. How could you cast it?"

Hearing that, Gus slapped his forehead hard enough that everyone winced. "Stupid!"

"Hey, it's okay, Gus," Hunter told the younger teen. "Maybe you used an item you had instead? Like some sort of scroll."

"Let's go with that and move on since I liked the Silence spell use earlier," Vee told the others. After they all nodded in agreement, she turned back to her notes. "Okay, with the village elder giving you the map you'll need, you begin your trek through Helhemichi's forests to reach the Southern Swamp. Everyone, give me a group Survival check and tell me if you're going at a slow pace, normal pace, or fast pace."

"I think it would be best if we went at a normal pace," Willow suggested before rolling her die. "I got a 15 total."

"I have a 4," King muttered after rolling his d20.

"Mine's a 14," Amity stated.

"I have a natural 1," Hunter moaned as he plopped his head onto the table.

"Mine is 9 total," Gus said.

"I have a 9 as well," Luz said.

"With your pace and rolls, the trek through the forest is a bit more difficult when the terrain starts to become muddier. You get stuck at times and Caleb ends up tripping face-first into the muck after tripping on a rock," Vee narrated, making King point and laugh at Hunter.

"Quiet, you," Hunter said in a grumpy tone.

"After those hours it took, you're now at the border of the Southern Swamp, which was about a mile past where you encountered the ogres," Vee states. "The swamp looks very much like the forest did, but much muddier and with trees looking more withered. The rancid smell of the swamp gas fills the air, making most of you nauseous at first. It reeks of methane, rotten eggs, and decomposing plants. You hear the sounds of various birds and insects calling out, filling the area with noise. Along with the stink of the swamp, you feel like the entire place is trying to keep you out from the assault on your senses."

"I guess we're in the right place," Gus remarked.

"I'd like everyone to roll a Perception check. I'll say right now that it's got a decent difficulty check for the full details you can find," Vee told the others.

Rolling their dice, everyone was ready to see if there was anything their characters could notice that would help with their goal. "Okay, I have a total of 5," Amity said as she rolled her eyes at her d20's result.

"I got a natural 20! Yeah," Hunter shouted in joy.

"I have an 18 to make 19 total," Gus said.

"I have a 3," King groaned.

"6 to make 13 total," Willow says.

"And I have an 18 to make 23," Luz told the others.

"As you look around the swamp, the smell gets too horrible for the street urchin and the runaway noble to handle, prompting Sariel to help them," Vee described.

"I'll do that by using Druidcraft to make a smell that neutralizes the swamp gas stink and you only smell cherry and orchids," Willow says.

"With Sariel's magic helping you, the three of you enjoy the sweet aroma while Carmen works with Wrenn and Caleb to search the swamp. As you do, Carmen's the first to notice something growing on a nearby tree," Vee describes. "While the tree itself is decayed, there seems to be a cluster of vines wrapped around it. From those vines, you notice a strange flower of sorts. When you get closer, the flower has a looping stem that keeps it on the vine and is purplish-red with a dark blue interior. The petals fold around themselves like it's protecting something inside of them."

"I'll go up and collect the plant to inspect it," Hunter declares.

"As you pluck the flower off the vine, you watch the vines wither and fall into the swamp's shallow muddy waters soon after. When you look at the flower, you move the petals and see that they're wrapped around a fruit that looks like a mix of what appears to be a peeled lychee and a peach," Vee described.

"Out of character, I immediately know what that is and I'll say don't eat it," Willow exclaimed.

"Oh yeah, I remember that. Kamen Rider Gaim and the Fruits of Helheim Forest," Luz said. "Glad we could watch that show together," she told Willow.

"It was fun," Willow said with a smile. "Emotional and makes you think, but fun."

"In character, I'd like to cast 'Detect Poison and Disease' to see if it's toxic," Hunter declared.

"Using that spell, you concentrate and use divine magic to sense poison and diseases. When you do, you don't find anything wrong with the odd fruit," Vee describes.

"This doesn't seem toxic," Hunter said in Caleb's voice.

"I've never seen this kind of fruit before," Gus remarked as Wrenn. "Actually, I'd like to roll to see if I know it."

"Same here," Amity and Willow say as they pick up their dice.

"Okay, as Rev approaches with Sariel and Philomena, anybody who wants to roll for a Nature check, go ahead," Vee states.

Picking up their dice, the three main magic users of the group rolled and looked at their signature colored d20s. "Mine is a 5, so that's only a 10," Amity says as she looks at her purple die. "But thanks to Keen Mind, I'll know what I need to know if we encounter this again."

"I have a 9 to make 14," Gus said, looking at his light blue d20.

"18 to make a total of 21," Willow exclaimed.

"Plant lover for the win," Luz cheered for Willow.

"Sariel is able to recognize this plant as something that isn't from this plane of existence. This plant is known as a Lockstone Fruit, which is named after the stem and pit looking like a padlock," Vee describes. "This plant is primarily found in the Feywild's forests."

"A Lockstone Fruit? Why's it here? It's usually in the Feywild forests," Willow remarked in character as Sariel.

"Lockstone Fruit? Is that dangerous? Caleb said it wasn't poisonous," Luz asked in Carmen's voice.

Vee handed Willow a note to read so she could explain the details as Sariel, then let the others roleplay. "They're not dangerous to any Elfs or Fey bloodline, but if a human were to eat it, they'd become addicted and eventually turn into a monster when they eat too many. Luckily, they can be cured of the addiction as it starts as a sickness after eating too much. When cured, you become immune to the transformation. I heard of it from my village when the best warriors explored the Feywild," Willow said as Sariel.

"Wait, didn't you say that Blood Inves was similar to that," King asked as Reverance.

"If the fruit itself isn't dangerous to everyone, maybe somebody's using it to make Blood Inves happen in others," Gus remarked as Wrenn.

"Then who's behind all of this," asked Amity as Philomena.

"Whoever it is, they'd have to know about Lockstone Fruit in the first place," Willow remarked as Sariel, then glanced at the note Vee gave her again. "It can be used as part of medicinal remedies, but needs to be fresh and pure."

Thinking things over, King looked up at the others as he voiced Reverance. "Didn't the old guy in the village say that there was a medicine woman that traveled around the island?"

Hearing what King suggested, the teenagers all looked at each other and started to figure the details out in their heads. "Do you really think that the medicine woman is responsible," asked Hunter as Caleb.

"We never did ask about her. She's a complete mystery," Luz replied as Carmen. "Maybe we can ask around and find her?"

"As you question this, you hear the familiar clinking of armor as somebody walks toward you," Vee narrates. "When you look to see where it's coming from, you see the same Green Knight you encountered before. He looks at you with judging eyes before he sees the Lockstone Fruit in your possession, then draws his axe."

"I'll prepare my shield in case he's going to attack," Hunter declared.

"I do not wish to harm you. I only want to see that fruit you hold," Vee says as the Green Knight.

"I'll take it out of Caleb's hand and give it to the guy," Luz says.

"As you do so, he holds out his hand to accept the fruit. Placing it onto a flat stone in the swamp's waters, he then cuts into it with his axe and the juices spray around. He inspects the fruit's flesh and the pit that has the looping stem growing out of it," Vee said as she rolled a d20 to determine the Investigation check of the Green Knight. "It seems fresh, but I can't be sure," Vee said as the knight.

"I used some magic to sense if it was poisoned and I learned it wasn't," Hunter stated as Caleb.

"My thanks for that," Vee responded as her character.

"Who exactly are you? We know you're a fey and you work for the Summer Court. Why ask for our help," Luz asked in Carmen's voice.

"My name is Bertilak. I've been asked by Lady Titania to deal with something important pertaining to a problem affecting the border between our worlds," Vee said as the knight.

"Border between our worlds? What do you mean by that," Hunter questioned as Caleb.

"Sometimes, there are natural portals that form throughout the world that lead to other realms. Such as some whirlpools taking ships to the Elemental Plane of Water. Because of one such portal, there's been Lockstone Fruit growing on this island. But my concern is of this," Vee says as the Green Knight before narrating more. "He then reaches behind his cloak and pulls something out of a pouch. It resembles a Lockstone Fruit, but rotten and black with fuzzy green spots."

"So, a rotten one," Gus asked.

Vee shrugged and nodded before continuing her dialogue as Bertilak. "There's been a taint in the Fey Realm. This blight has spread from the royal orchard of the Seelie Court all the way to here. What my queen knows is that this isn't natural. Somebody has been causing this infection in these plants. And when I was tasked with stopping the culprit, I encountered you and the villages. The one responsible for this blight has been causing Blood Inves in humans."

The teenagers at the table all looked wide-eyed as the Green Knight explained everything. "Who could do such a thing," Amity asked as Philomena.

"Somebody who likes to make people miserable, I bet," Luz said in Carmen's voice.

"I'd actually like you all to roll an Arcana or Nature check for me," Vee told them.

"Really," King asked.

"Makes sense. We're talking with a fey, so we'd probably need to figure out if we're dealing with another type of fey," Hunter remarked.

"Either way, it's an Intelligence check we need to make," Gus said before everyone picked up their dice and started to roll. "Alright, I got a total of 9. That's not my best," he says.

"Ugh, I got a natural 1," Amity groaned.

"Mine's a total of 14," Hunter stated.

"Oh hey, I've got an 18," King chuckled.

"Mine's a total of 18, too," Willow tells everyone.

"And mine is 7 total," Luz says.

Vee nodded as she looked at everyone, then focused on Amity. "Philomena, you have zero clue what this could be despite your Keen Mind feat because you've never even read about the sort of thing that could be responsible," she narrates before turning her attention to Hunter, King, and Willow. "As for you three, you remember stories you've been told or read about involving magical beings known as Hags."

"I know how I would have heard about them," King exclaimed as he snapped his fingers. Clearing his throat, he started to do his voice for Reverance to start roleplaying. "Hold on, this reminds me of something I've read before. Don't hags like to trick others and make them upset?"

"Yeah, they like to do all kinds of evil things because they're as wicked as they are ugly," Willow says as Sariel.

"I've heard stories about them from the other members of the Empire's army, but how do you know about them," Hunter asked King while voicing Caleb.

"Oh, I read these storybooks that I swiped from a shop back in Daggercrest," King said as Rev, admitting to another crime. As Hunter gave him a dirty look to match what Caleb would give the tiefling, King continued. "Basically, the story had a hag that tried to kidnap this royal baby, but a pirate managed to stop her. Because he had no idea where the baby belonged and he couldn't go around asking who the kid's parents were, he took them in as his own. The hag kept trying to get revenge for years, but the kid soon revealed they had magic and made for a great pirate before reuniting with their family in the end."

"That sounds like a fun story. What's it called," Luz asked as Carmen.

"I think it was called something like 'The Pirate Prince' or 'Princess of Pirates'? I forget which," King answered in his character's voice.

"In any case, there's a hag that keeps affecting this island. How are we supposed to stop her," Amity questioned as Philomena.

"Perhaps if we find the hag's lair? She's probably got a lot of Lockstone Fruit growing where she lives. If we find those plants, we might know where to find her," Gus remarked as Wrenn.

Everyone voiced their agreement before Vee continued to play the role of Bertilak. "Since you've managed to solve my riddle, I believe you're worthy to assist me in my mission. I've located the general area of the hag's lair, but there are an assortment of creatures acting as her guards. You've already defeated some ogres that worked for her, so I'd appreciate your aid in this. If you agree to help, I'll be sure to tell my queen about your bravery."

"Hmm, it would be fun to get in the good graces of the fairy queen," Luz remarked.

"Practical, too. Imagine if we have to go to the fey realms," Amity added. "We could get allies if we go there."

"For now, I say we help this guy out. He could help us deal with the hag," Hunter said.

"Seems like we have to if we want to move forward anyway," Gus noted as well.

Willow nodded in agreement before she spoke as Sariel. "We'll help you, Bertilak."

Vee smirked before she continued speaking as Bertilak. "Thank you. Follow me."

"Lead the way," Luz said as Carmen in response.

Vee double-checked her papers before nodding to herself and continued by narrating the scene. "As Bertilak marches forward, you all follow him toward where the hag's lair should be located. It takes another hour or so to get through the swamp before you come across another series of vines that hold the Lockstone Fruits. Checking the plants and finding it starting to go bad, Bertilak guides you in another direction."

"How does that make sense," Hunter asked.

"I'm just gonna chalk it up to something like tree moss and magic," King remarked.

"Actually, moss growing on the north side of trees is just a myth. It grows everywhere in a forest. Trees, rocks, fallen logs. If I had to guess, our friend is following more of a magic sense along with it. Or an item he has," Willow said.

"To double-check the direction, Bertilak pulls out a sort of compass that has the emblem of the Seelie Court," Vee states, confirming Willow was correct. "This way. We're close to the border of her lair," she said in Bertilak's voice.

Checking over their character sheets, the players made sure they were ready for some sort of battle. "I've got three spell slots left, so I'll need to be careful," Hunter remarked.

"Paladins mostly use them for Smite moves anyway," Amity mentioned. "You'll be fine."

"If you say so," Hunter said. "Then again, Wizards are always squishy. Why do you think there's all those jokes about them taking too much damage?"

"That's why I'll be casting Mage Armor now to make myself harder to hit," Amity countered as she marked off a spell slot.

"I'll do the same," Gus added. "I'm a bit more vulnerable because I'm not a Bladesinger specifically."

"I'll make sure to have my ring, sword, and gun ready," Luz declared.

"I'll make sure my crossbow's good to go," King said. "What are we going to face? I'd like to make sure I'm hiding when we get close to whatever it is."

"Yeah, I'll do the same. We'll get them from both sides," Luz agreed.

"Then go ahead and roll some Stealth checks for me," Vee told her sister and the youngest player.

Rolling their dice together, King and Luz tried to see if they did well enough. "I have an 8, so that makes it 12," Luz said.

"I got a 3 to make it a total of 8," King said, sounding upset at the low roll.

"The two of you try to hide behind a few trees close to the border of the hag's lair, thinking you're hidden well enough," Vee narrated before rolling a die behind her screen and continuing. "As everyone gets close, you see something walking past the area about 25 feet away. A large and green monster with skin that looks like rubber with warts on the shoulders. As it turns to the side, you see a bulbous nose and sharp teeth as it sniffs the air. When it does, it growls and looks at the hiding figures as well as the four in front of it."

"Well, guess we have to deal with a bodyguard or something," Gus remarked as he made sure to check what spells he had prepared.

"If you want to know exactly what this is, roll a History check," Vee told the others.

Hearing that, every player picked up their d20s and rolled. "I got an 11 total," Gus said.

"I have a 15," Hunter declared.

"That's a flat 7," King told Vee.

"12 total," Willow declared.

Amity slapped her forehead when she saw her result. "Natural 1," she groaned.

"And I have a modified 20," Luz said. "Sorry about that Nat 1, Sweet Potato."

As Amity grumbled, Luz patted her girlfriend's back while Vee explained what she could tell them. "Carmen and Caleb can tell that this figure is a sort of giant that's known for its vicious appetite and being a sort of mercenary for creatures like hags. This large ugly beast is a troll. This is mostly because of stories and research you know of," Vee explained.

"A troll. That's just great," Luz remarked in Carmen's voice.

"The hag must have it working as security for her," Hunter said as Caleb. "We'll need to be careful with it."

"I've also heard that they can heal from their wounds, so we have to be careful," Luz added as Carmen since Vee passed her a note for getting the high enough roll.

"As you all watch the troll step toward you, I'd like you all to roll for initiative," Vee stated. The clattering of dice on the table or in trays filled the room as everyone made notes of what their number was.

"I have a 9 to make 13," Gus said.

"I'm at 10 total," Willow told Vee.

"Natural 1 for me. That makes 5," Luz muttered loud enough for everyone to hear.

"12 to make 15," Amity declared.

"Flat 13," Hunter stated.

"6 plus my Dexterity and adding my Alert feat giving me an extra 5… 14 for me," King told everyone.

After rolling the initiative for the Troll and Green Knight, Vee nodded and began narrating the battle. "Top of the round has the troll roar as he charges at Bertilak first and strikes at him three times," she states before rolling her 20-sided die. "The first one hits, the second doesn't, and the third hits. As the troll bites into his shoulder, it deals 8 points of piercing damage to Bertilak. However, Green Knights have resistance to nonmagical slashing, bludgeoning, and piercing damage when they aren't hit with cold iron. This means the damage is reduced to 4."

"I remember reading about that," Luz says. "Cold iron is painful to demons and fey in myths."

"Exactly," Vee said before continuing the damage calculations. "The first claw attack is deflected by Bertilak's shield, but the second one hits him right in his side after the first attack was blocked. This deals 6 slashing damage reduced to 3. With that, it's now Philomena's turn."

"Okay, I'll activate my Bladesong and I'll thrust my rapier into the troll," Amity declared before she rolled her d20. "17 for a total of 23 with my +1 rapier. For damage, I deal 11 piercing damage total."

"With a fierce stab into its leg, the troll grunts in pain as it sees one of the intruders injure it," Vee describes. "King, it's time for Reverence to have his turn."

"Okay, I'll take my hand crossbow and fire it at the troll since Philomena's fighting it. If it hits, I get Sneak Attack damage," King declared before rolling his die. "I got a 6 to make 11."

"Unfortunately, the rubbery hide of the troll protects it from damage as the bolt only grazes its skin and it bounces away into a tree trunk," Vee described, making King pout. "Gus and Hunter, you two are acting at the same time."

"Gus, you decide on your move first, then I'll say mine," Hunter told the younger boy.

"Got it. I guess I'll have Wrenn use Magic Missile at 1st-Level to deal some damage," Gus said before rolling his dice. "That's a 1, 2, and 4 on my d4s. That's a total of 9 force damage."

"At the same time, I'll run up to the troll and attack it with a one-handed swing of my sword," Hunter declared before rolling his d20. "I got a 9 on my die for a total of 14."

Vee nodded as she began to describe the moment. "With three magical darts piercing into the troll's chest, it stumbles a little and just barely dodges the sword swing," she states. "Willow, you're up."

"I'll use my Wild Shape to turn myself into a Dire Wolf, run up to it, and bite into the troll's arm," Willow declared. "That's a 5 on my die, but I have Pack Tactics as a Dire Wolf and Caleb just attacked it. My second roll is a 17 on my die for a 22 total," she said.

"Nice," Vee complimented before she started to narrate the attack. "Rushing at the troll with your legs turning canine and going on all four limbs, your body shifts into a large wolf that's covered in grassy fur and flowers. Taking advantage of Caleb's failed swing of his blade, you leap up and dig your teeth into the monster's limb. Roll for damage."

Taking her d6 and rolling it twice, Willow calculated how much she was able to deal. "A 6 and a 5. That's 14 total piercing damage. And now, it has to roll a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone."

Vee nodded before she rolled a 20-sided die and checked the result along with the troll's stats. "Your fangs pierce into troll's forearm and deal some good damage to it, but it's able to wrestle away from your grip and put you back on the ground," Vee described. "Luz, it's Carmen's turn."

"Finally. Okay, since the others are engaged with it, I'll take aim with my pepperbox and fire at the troll," Luz said before rolling her die. "Dirty 20."

"That'll hit him," Vee confirmed.

"Then the damage I deal is 11," Luz added as she looked at the d10's result of 7. "And since he's engaged with the others, I get Sneak Attack damage. That makes it 13 total since I got a 2."

"With a good shot to his shoulder, the troll roars in pain as the bullet pierces in when he least expected," Vee states. "Now, it's time for Bertilak to make his move."

"I wonder what he'll do," Camila wondered.

"Bertilak holds up his shield and battle axe, then speaks to the troll," Vee states. "You dare strike at me?! Then you'd best prepare yourself for my power!" After saying what the Green Knight wanted, Vee rolled a die to determine something. "The troll ignores him before two attacks are made by Bertilak," she states as she rolls a die again. "The first attack misses, but the second hit succeeds. While his battle axe misses, he bashes his shield into the troll and hurts it for 8 bludgeoning damage. After that, vines spring from the shield and wrap around the troll's legs."

"Whoa! That's amazing," Willow exclaimed.

"It's like a free Entangle," Luz said with a grin.

"Now for the troll's turn back at the top of the list," Vee said. "The troll's wounds start to heal themselves, allowing it to recover 10 hit points back before it even does anything."

"Ah, what!? No fair," King exclaimed.

"He'll now make a Strength check to attempt an escape from the vines," Vee says as she rolls her d20 again. "With a total of 17, he breaks free and begins to attack Bertilak, Philomena, and Sariel with his claws and bite."

"Let's hope he fails to hurt us," Amity said as she remembered her current Armor Class was a total of 21.

"The first attack is the bite on Bertilak, which misses when the Green Knight slams his shield into the monster's jaws to push him back," Vee described. "The second is a hit on Philomena with a 25 total and the third misses."

"That's just great," Amity groaned as she got hit. "However, I do have my Shield spell. I'll block the attack just in time."

Vee nodded at that before continuing the scene. "With swings of its sharp claws, the attack on Sariel's wolf form misses and Philomena reacts at the last second and creates an arcane barrier to protect herself from the long nails of the troll."

"I guess it's my turn again," Amity said. "I'll retaliate with another thrust of my rapier, hoping to impale the hand that nearly hit me," she declared. "Ugh, I got a 2. That won't work."

"The troll pulls its hand back just as you thrust your sword and you nearly trip," Vee describes.

"Then I'll get my crossbow ready again and fire at the troll to make up for it and my last attack," King exclaimed. "But I'll use my Steady Aim to help me out."

"Go ahead and roll with advantage as you decide not to move," Vee told the boy.

Rolling his d20 twice, King looked at the results. "13 and 15. Plus my Dexterity and proficiency, that gives me a modified 20."

"You'll hit this time. And you get Sneak Attack damage," Vee states.

Getting the needed dice, King shook them in his hands before rolling them all and counting up the total. "Two 5s and a 6. That gives me a total of 19!"

"With a well-aimed shot from your crossbow, you manage to hit the troll in the ear and it off, leaving the ear pinned to a nearby tree," Vee described.

"Oh, that's just nasty," Amity remarked.

"The troll lets out a roar of pain and begins to speak to you in Giant. But since I remember nobody speaks Giant, none of you can understand what's being said," Vee adds. "Gus and Hunter, you're up."

"Okay, I'll cast Shadow Blade and give myself something to help in battle. I'll get up close enough and then throw it at his face," Gus says before rolling for an attack. "Hold on. Would this place be considered dim light?"

"Hmm… I'd say so because of how deep in the area you are. Plus the weather," Vee told the party.

"Then I attack with advantage," said Gus as he rolled twice. "The first is a 5 and the second is 18. That's a total of 24."

"That'll hit," Vee says.

"I throw the shadowy dagger into the troll and deal a total of 7 psychic damage," Gus stated.

"As for my turn, I'll swing my sword at him again," Hunter voiced. "I got a 10 on my die for a total of 15."

"That just hits him," Vee said.

"This one will be a two-handed swing," Hunter declared as he rolled his d10. "I got a 2 on the die, so it's only 5 damage."

"The two blades hit the troll and it grunts in pain at how one hits it in the chest and the other slashes at its forearm," Vee described. "The troll hisses in pain as it glares at everyone around it."

"My turn," Willow says. "I'll attack the troll with my Dire Wolf form's bite. I got a 13 on the first roll and the second thanks to Pack Tactics is an 11. That's an 18 to hit," she states.

"That hits," Vee confirmed.

"The damage dice are 5 and 6. That's a total of 14 piercing damage," Willow declared.

"I swear, a Circle of the Moon Druid is just as powerful as a Barbarian," Gus remarked. "They can be magic and muscle when needed."

"The troll needs to make the Strength save," Vee says before rolling a d20 and looking at the result. "As the fangs of Sariel's wolf form dig into his flesh once again, the troll just manages to pull away and looks pretty winded. He's breathing heavily as your assaults aren't letting up," she stated.

"Oh yeah, we'll be able to beat it easily," King exclaimed.

"However, there seems to be a stomping sound that is approaching fast," Vee added, making the players look tense. "After the first troll threw back Sariel, out from the edge of the hag's territory is a second troll that's more than ready to help its companion after seeing it injured," she tells everyone as she places a second troll figure on the battlefield.

"This won't be good. But at least we know we can handle one troll. This just upped the difficulty," Luz says. "If it showed up before I took my turn, is it the same result as me or Willow?"

"It matches your result," Vee stated. "It'll go at the same time as you and it used its action to dash over here."

"Okay, then I'll go ahead and use my pepperbox on it to draw away its attention," Luz declared before rolling her dice. "12 for a total of 18. Does it see me yet?"

"It hits. Roll damage. And yes, it does see you, so no Sneak Attack damage," Vee answered.

"Okay then," Luz said before rolling her d10 for her pirate's favorite firearm. "3 for 7 damage."

"The bullet goes flying through the air and hits the new troll in the shoulder, leaving a decently-sized hole there," Vee narrates. "After that, Bertilak notices the second troll and bites back a curse word," she said before speaking as Bertilak. "A second one?! The first must have called for help as we were fighting it. We must fight on to reach the hag."

"This is getting intense," Hunter remarked.

"Bertilak will Disengage from the first troll and go after the second," Vee states. "With that, the first troll heals from some of the damage it took and decides to go after Sariel with all his attacks."

"Oh, thorns," Willow muttered.

"14 total on the bite attack, 10 on the first claw, and 12 on the second," Vee told Willow.

"Only the bite attack hits. My Wild Shape's dire wolf form has an AC of 14," Willow replied.

"The troll swings its claws, but your wolf form allows you to dodge a bit easier until your attempt to jump off its arms puts you in range of its mouth. You get out of the way, but its sharp teeth manage to get at your foreleg and deal 6 piercing damage to you," Vee described.

"I guess it's my turn. I'll go ahead and cast a cantrip called 'Toll the Dead' on that new troll," Amity stated. "I point at it and it hears a dolorous bell in the air. They then have to make a Wisdom saving throw. It normally deals a d8 of necrotic damage if they fail, but any injured creature that is affected by the spell takes a d12 instead."

"What's dolorous mean," King asked.

"Feeling or expressing great sorrow or distress," Hunter explained. "Like if a loved one dies."

"Yeah. Okay, what's your DC, Amity," Vee asked as she picked up her d20.

"Philomena's Intelligence is maxed out, so it's 15," Amity declared with a smile as Vee rolled the die.

"The troll doesn't make the save and the loud chime of an ominous bell echoes around, harming its very soul. Go ahead and roll your d12," Vee says.

"That's a 5 on my die," Amity says. "King's up."

"Alright, let's try and hide from the trolls as a bonus action thanks to my Rogue stuff," King declared. "I got a 14 for a total of 19," he says. "With that, I'll make sure I'm hidden from the trolls and take a shot at the new one with a 12 for a total of 17."

"That'll hit. Roll for Sneak Attack damage," Vee replied.

Getting his six-sided dice, King rolled and counted up the total with his damage modifier added. "Two 5s and a 4. That's 17 piercing damage," he declared.

"With a stealthy hiding place behind a tree, you peek out and pull the trigger of your hand crossbow, sending a bolt flying toward the troll's injured shoulder. The troll roars out in pain as the bolt digs into the bullet hole for extra damage done to it," Vee described. "Gus and Hunter, your turn."

"I'll resummon my Shadow Blade thanks to my spell's effect letting me do so on a bonus action. Then, I'll throw it at the new troll," Gus said before he rolled his blue d20. "5 on the first roll and a 1 on the second. Looks like that's a miss."

"I'll attack the current troll I'm fighting," Hunter says. "I got a natural 20! I'm making this a two-handed strike," he exclaimed before rolling a d10 twice for the damage result. "That's a four on the die for the first roll, an 8 on the second, and an extra 3 from my Strength. 15 slashing damage total," he declared.

"I thought that we were doing one roll and it would be doubled for the critical hit," Amity questioned.

"I'll allow either," Vee said as she subtly rolled a die and looked at the result of it. "While the second troll is able to dodge Wrenn's black spell weapon being thrown at it, the first one howls in agony as Caleb is able to slice one of its legs clean off," she exclaimed.

"Whoa! Awesome," King shouted excitedly.

"The leg drops to the ground, twitching like it's still able to move. As the first troll looks at its fallen limb, it glares at Caleb with hatred in its eyes," Vee described. "Willow, it's Sariel's turn."

"I've got a bad feeling about that leg, so I'll have Sariel go after it," Willow says. "I got a 3 on my first roll, but since Caleb was the one to cut the leg off while within 5 feet of it, I still get Pack Tactics," she states before rolling again. "18 on the second roll for 23."

"You manage to get your wolf form's teeth on the leg. Roll for damage," Vee confirmed.

"4 and 5 on my dice to make a total of 12 piercing damage," Willow says.

"With a powerful clamp of your jaws, you snap the bones inside the severed leg in two, holding the limb like a chew toy in your mouth before you drop it," Vee described. "Luz, you and the second troll go up and he gets 10 hit points back."

"That's a problem," Luz says. "I guess I'll use my Cunning Action to hide from the troll and attempt my own Sneak Attack with my cutlass. I'll make sure to pocket Picaro as I do so," she decided before rolling. "Natural 1 for Stealth. I'm like Tony Tony Chopper hiding from people, doing it the wrong way."

"That or you stepped on the bagpipes of a fallen adventurer," Hunter joked.

"Hahaha! Bagpipes," King chuckled.

"After that failure of stealth, I'll just try to cut him down," Luz said before rolling. "Great, that's a natural 2."

"As you try to sneak up on the troll, your sword gets caught against a tree and you're unable to attack, spending your time freeing your blade instead of being able to attack. The troll takes advantage of this mistake and attempts to attack you," Vee declared. "Bite attack hits you, first claw misses, and second claw hits you."

"Oh dang," Luz mutters.

"As you free your blade, you just barely avoid the first claw, but you take 8 slashing damage as he swings his second claw upward to juggle you into the air, then bites down for another 9 piercing damage," Vee describes.

"Ugh, that's 17 down for me. I'm at 27 now," Luz remarked as she did the math on her hit points. "Too bad Bertilak wasn't within range for me to get Sneak Attack yet."

"Luckily, he's getting in range now," Vee said as she made her next move as the Green Knight. "Another troll means nothing to me! Come and face me if you dare," Vee says as Bertilak before rolling dice behind her screen. "With that declaration, the new troll glares at him and the knight makes his move for an attack. His battle axe swing misses and the troll holds back his shield bash before pushing him away."

"What was that whole thing with him challenging the troll," Hunter asked.

"It's a feature the Green Knight of the Woods has," Vee explained. "If the enemy fails a saving throw, they're forced to engage in melee combat with the knight for a minute. This will help you guys out a little by having Troll 2 fight Bertilak," she says. "But for now, the first troll regains more hit points back and to everyone's surprise, the leg that Sariel damaged does as well."

"I knew it was going to be a problem," Willow exclaimed.

"The leg now stands up and connects itself to the troll for its action, restoring 10 HP to the troll," Vee states. "With him ticked at Caleb cutting his leg off in the first place, he'll strike at him with all three attacks." Rolling her d20 three times, she checked to see what managed to hit the Paladin. "The first is a natural 20!"

"Wait! My armor protects me from critical hits," Hunter exclaimed, remembering one of the party's first magical item finds from the first island in their campaign adventure.

"That's right! Then the damage will just be a normal hit for that," Vee says before rolling more. "23 total for the second and 20 total for the third. All three attacks hit you for regular damage dealt," Vee tells Hunter before rolling for how much his character takes in damage. "6 piercing damage from the bite, 11 slashing damage from the first claw, and 10 slashing damage from the second claw."

"27 total. Good thing that wasn't on Carmen," Willow muttered.

"I'm at 21 hit points now," Hunter says. "More than half of my health gone in one turn."

"The troll's vicious assault on Caleb starts with him digging his sharp teeth into his sword arm. Your armor just managed to protect you from the heavy damage that would have been dealt. Then after he releases you from his jaws, he starts slashing at your exposed midsection to deal even more damage to you," Vee narrates.

"Sariel sees this and while in wolf form, she starts growling like a mother wolf who is protecting her children from an enemy," Willow says.

"Seeing this, Carmen will call out to the half-elf Paladin while still gripping her injured body," Luz says. "Caleb! No!"

"After seeing the two trolls hurt my friends, I'll cast one of my 2nd-level spells. Philomena will cast Scorching Ray and blast the second troll for hurting Carmen. Mostly because she knows it's got more stamina and that Sariel would have dibs on the other one," Amity tells everyone. "Now to roll three spell attack rolls," she added before rolling her purple d20. "First is a 25 total, the second is 14, and the third is 16."

"The first and third hit," Vee says. "Roll damage."

"The first one does 5 fire damage and the second one does 3," Amity says, a bit upset at the amount of damage done.

"The first ray manages to hit the troll square in the chest, burning it a little. When it sees the second and third incoming, it tries to dodge them and ducks under the second ray. However, the third manages to get it in the shoulder and burn it up more. The troll hisses and roars in pain at the fire harming it," Vee described. "Okay, King. It's time for Reverence to make his next move. What do you do?"

"Okay, I'll take another shot on the troll that just got burned," the youngest player said before rolling his die. "I'll make sure to take a Steady Aim as well. Just in case," he added. "I got a 22 and a natural 20!"

"Go ahead and deal the damage," Vee says with a grin.

Taking his six-sided dice, King rolled and counted up the results. "1, 4, and 5. Then add 3, 4, and 5… That's a total of 25 piercing damage on that new troll!"

"Yay! Way to go, King," Luz cheered as the others all smiled.

"With a carefully aimed bolt from your crossbow, you manage to pierce right into the troll's throat and it makes a gargling roar of pain," Vee told everyone.

"Nice choice with the Steady Aim," Gus complimented.

"Thanks! Praise me more," King said, sounding like he was demanding attention.

"Let's move on now," Hunter says. "With the damage I took, I'll use Lay on Hands to heal myself as my action, giving myself another 12 hit points back. That brings me back to 33."

"Then I'll cast Fire Bolt on the second troll," Gus declared as he rolled his d20. "A 9 for a total of 16."

"That hits," Vee says.

"The spell deals 6 fire damage," Gus added as he rolled his d10.

"As Caleb focuses on healing himself up from the troll's vicious attack, Wrenn aims and fires a small mote of flame at the second troll, hitting it in the thigh," Vee narrated. "Willow, your turn."

Humming in thought, Willow then snapped her fingers as she knew what her next move would be. "Sariel's anger has her lunge at the troll that harmed Caleb, then attempts to bite it in the groin."

"Oh, that's gonna hurt," Camila remarked with a wince of sympathy.

"I got a modified 20," Willow declared. "I deal 10 piercing damage as Sariel's dire wolf form bites it in the crotch!"

The boys all winced at that description as Vee rolled a die to see what happened at the moment. "With the anger of seeing your companion harmed like he was, you jump forward and chomp down at the groin region, inflicting severe pain and even managing to throw the troll onto the ground. The first troll is now prone," Vee told everyone.

"Sweet! Now players within 5 feet of it have an advantage when attacking it," Luz exclaimed. "And it's my turn now, so let's see what I can do."

"Before you do that, you notice that the second troll hasn't been able to heal from the burns it suffered," Vee says.

"Of course! If they get burned by something, they won't heal. Fire damage is the key to this fight! Why didn't we think of that sooner," Gus remarked.

"Because stabbing monsters is fun," King answered, earning mutters of agreement from everyone else.

"Okay, with that guy engaged with Bertilak, I'll get behind the second troll and strike at him with my cutlass," Luz declared. "Will a total of 15 hit?"

"Just hits. With that, you can go ahead and deal your Sneak Attack," Vee confirmed.

"1 and 3 on the dice, so that's 10 slashing damage total with Dueling," Luz says.

"With the troll unable to hit Berilak thanks to his armor and rolling a natural 1 for that last attack, you're able to slash him in the back without problems. Because of that nat 1, I'll say that the troll ends up getting hurt by a sharp tree branch and takes an extra 2 piercing damage when it missed Bertilak, impaling its palm" Vee described. "Bertilak then counters by swinging his battle axe and it hits. However, his shield bash misses the troll. The swing of the axe deals an extra 5 slashing damage when it cuts into the troll's other palm."

"That troll's not gonna grab anything easily now," King gloated.

"As for the first troll, it regenerates more health back and both are looking like they're the same in stamina," Vee states. "The first troll uses half its movement to get up and then attacks Sariel to get back at her for the bite to the groin," she added before rolling her d20 a few times. "Totals of 12, 24, and 19."

"The first one misses, but the other two hit me," Willow confirmed. "That's what happens when you go into a Wild Shape with an AC of 14."

"Okay, let's deal damage," Vee said as she rolled some more dice. "8 slashing damage on the first claw attack and 12 on the second."

"That's a big chunk of my health down in wolf form," Willow remarked as she took note of her hit points.

"The troll attempts to bite you as it gets up, but misses. It then stands up and swings its claws at your body, hitting you in your sides," Vee described. "Amity, it's your turn."

"Philomena will cast Fire Bolt on the second troll, giving the others an advantage if it hits," Amity declared before she rolled her d20. "14 for a total of 21. I know that hits, so it's time for the damage. I deal 2 fire damage to the first troll. Not much, but it hinders its regeneration," she said after checking her rolls.

"The flame you throw at the troll scratches its side, but does burn away at its body and the heat makes it writhe," Vee described.

"My turn. I'll prepare my crossbow again and take another shot at the one I hit before," King said before rolling his dice. "I got a 12 for 17 total."

"That hits. Roll for Sneak attack damage," Vee confirmed.

Taking his needed six-sided dice, King rolled and counted up the total. "2, 5, 6… plus Dexterity is 16 piercing damage."

"The crossbow bolt flies through the air and manages to hit the second troll in the cheek while it's preoccupied with the battle around it," Vee elaborated as she marked down the health the troll still had.

"Our turn," Gus declared as he and Hunter thought of what to do. "I'll move out of the way and use a Fire Bolt on the first troll. But I got a total of 11. I guess that's not hitting."

"Luckily, I do have a spell that can help," Hunter said, getting everyone's attention. "I cast Searing Smite. Now the next time I hit an enemy, I roll an extra d6 of fire damage as the monster is set on fire. It has to make a Constitution saving throw or it'll take another d6 of fire damage on each of its turns."

"Oh, that'll be great for this," Gus says.

"Time to roll," Hunter said before he tossed his gold d20. "I managed to get a 14 to make 19. If that hits, I'm making this a two-handed strike," he added before rolling the dice for damage. "I deal 8 total slashing damage and 6 fire damage."

"As Wrenn attempts to use his Fire Bolt, the flame goes wide and is doused by the muddy swamp water. However, this allows Caleb to attack without issue," Vee stated. "Channeling divine power into his blade, it glows with a white-hot intensity as his drive to protect his friends and the people he meets fuels a burning energy. With a strong swing of his sword, the cut he deals to the first troll's stomach erupts into a blaze that consumes the giant."

"YEAH! Way to go, Hunter," Willow cheered, making Hunter blush.

"It was nothing. I just remembered my spell list," Hunter remarked as he scratched his scarred cheek.

"My turn," Willow says. "I'll attack the burning troll hoping to hit it more now that it's on fire thanks to Caleb. I rolled a 10 for 15 and a 9 for 14 thanks to Pack Tactics."

"That first one just hits," Vee tells Willow.

"I deal 12 piercing damage to the first troll and it has to make a Strength saving throw," Willow declared.

"It rolled a natural 20 for the save," Vee says before describing the events. "The troll flails around on fire and as Sariel's dire wolf fangs bite into its leg, a kick sends her back and the troll stays standing. Luz, it's your turn along with the second troll, who doesn't regenerate and still has to battle Bertilak."

"Okay, I'll try another Sneak Attack because of that. I'll keep behind him and cut him with my sword," Luz declared. "If I've got advantage, the first roll is a modified 20 and the second is 14."

"The first one hits," Vee stated.

"Then for the damage, the troll is taking a total of 13 points of slashing damage," Luz says.

"The troll attacks Bertilak with a natural 20 on his bite, a miss on the first claw attack, and a regular hit on the second claw attack," Vee said. "Luckily, the damage for that bite isn't much. He deals a total of 6 reduced to 3 piercing damage, then 11 reduced to 5 slashing damage."

"Lucky for us that our Green Knight isn't pushover," Gus remarked.

"Especially since he can use his reaction to deal a battle axe attack to an enemy he challenged successfully," Vee adds. "He'll make this a d10 if it hits," she told everyone before rolling her counterattack. "He got a 7 for a total of 14, so the Knight's Rebuke doesn't hit."

"Dang," Luz muttered.

"As the troll attacks Bertilak, he bites into the knight's armor to damage it slightly and harm him. At the same time, Carmen is able to slash him in the back to make him release the knight, making the first claw attack miss. When he strikes at Bertilak with his claw, the knight tries to cut the hand off, but misses and the troll slashes him in the chest instead," Vee described.

"Isn't it his turn next," Camila asked.

"That's right, Mom. Bertilak will now attempt to end this troll as it's now on its last legs thanks to Carmen's assistance," Vee replied before rolling her dice. "His axe attack hits and his shield bash doesn't. With a two-handed swing, he deals max damage and the second troll ends up falling to the ground after a heavy slash to his chest."

"Yeah! That'll show him," Luz exclaimed.

"Wait. If I'm right, he can probably still heal if he hasn't taken any extra fire damage," Amity said.

"Oh, good point," King remarked.

"It's the first troll's turn," Vee says. "Hunter, what's your spell save DC?"

"Oh, that'll be 13," Hunter answered.

"The troll shrugs off the Searing Smite's flames and isn't able to regenerate this turn. In exchange, it'll attack you and Sariel with its strikes," Vee states before rolling her dice. "The first one on Caleb is a total of 9, so that misses. The second is 23 on Sariel and hits. And the third one on Caleb is the same and hits," she told them.

"I'll use my Interception to protect Sariel," Hunter says. "By using my reaction, I can roll a d10 and add my proficiency bonus to lower the damage dealt to an ally. I need a shield or martial weapon to use it, though," he explained.

"Okay, then let's roll for damage," Vee says as she and Hunter roll their dice. "That's 12 on Sariel and 11 on Caleb."

"My Interception is a total of 5. Sariel only takes 7 damage as I use the flat of my sword to mess with his aim. Meanwhile, I'm down to 22 hit points now," Hunter said.

Vee nodded before she explained the scene. "The troll manages to fight through the burning pain of the Searing Smite and extinguish the flames, then attempts to bite at Caleb. The half-elf Paladin manages to get out of the way and closer to Sariel. The troll then attacks both of you with his claws and as you both get hit, Caleb defends Sariel with his sword holding back the first claw."

"My turn," Amity said. "I'll play it safe and walk up to the troll to cast Fire Bolt on the fallen troll, making sure to set its body on fire and keep it from healing."

"Roll with advantage since it's technically prone," Vee said as she allowed the move.

Amity picked up her die and tossed it onto the table twice. "12 for 19 and 10 for 17," she said. "I'm sure either one hits, so I deal the minimum of 1 point of fire damage."

"You twirl your finger and an ember drops from your hand, setting the troll's body on fire and begins to burn it to ashes," Vee described.

"My turn! I'll take my movement to get closer to the troll and then fire my crossbow," King declared. "I got an 8 for 13."

"The bolt fires, but the troll ducks out of the way in time," Vee described. "Gus and Hunter, you're both up."

"I'll cast Fire Bolt on it," Gus says before rolling his d20. "8 for 15."

"That hits," Vee confirmed.

"I'll take a swing at him with my sword," Hunter declared with a roll of his die. "12 to make 17. That'll hit too, so time for us to roll damage," he remarked as he and Gus rolled for their damage. "I hit him for 8 slashing damage."

"I deal 8 fire damage," Gus says.

"With the two of you acting at the same time, Caleb cuts into the troll's stomach and Wrenn immediately cauterizes the wound, burning the giant monster more," Vee described. "The troll grunts and hisses in pain as he looks like he's on his last legs. Willow, time for Sariel to act."

"I'll rush up and bite at the troll again," Willow declared before rolling her die twice. "3 for 8 on the first roll and with Pack Tactics, the second is 13 for 18. That'll hit for a total of… 11 piercing damage," Willow says.

"The troll takes more damage as Sariel's dire wolf form bites into his arm, injuring it more before shoving Sariel off his body. He's looking too winded to stay upright," Vee narrates. "Luz, it's your turn."

"I'll use my Cunning Action to Dash in and get to a clear shot with my pepperbox," Luz says before rolling her die. "12 for a total of 18."

"How do you want to do this," Vee asked, showing that the full battle was won thanks to the health of the troll and the bonus to Luz's attacks.

"I'll have Carmen fire the bullet right into the troll's head and make his teeth fly out of his skull," Luz exclaimed.

Vee nodded before she began to elaborate on the attack. "With a loud echoing gunshot, the bullet from Carmen's pepperbox revolver flies through the air and nails the troll in the back of its head. When the bullet comes out of the other side, it shatters his teeth and he falls to the ground."

"That went longer than I expected, even with Bertilak helping us," Amity noted.

"Yeah," Gus agreed.

"After the battle ends, Bertilak pulls out a fruit that resembles a mango and crushes it in his hands. When he does, the juices instantly turn into a sweet-smelling smoke that surrounds all of you," Vee described before voicing Bertilak. "A gift from my queen. Best to have us all in good health and full strength when dealing with this hag."

"What was that," Hunter questioned in Caleb's voice as Willow rolled a d20.

"I got a 17 total on Nature," Willow said.

"Sariel would recognize this sort of rare fruit as a Manachaar," Vee says. "A type of magic fruit from the Feywild that gives the benefits of a long rest when the juices are inhaled as a vapor. But in exchange, you'll become exhausted if you don't take an actual long rest within 12 hours."

"Don't worry. It's safe for us. It'll give us the energy we need to deal with that hag," Willow said to everyone in Sariel's voice.

"It smells wonderful," Amity voiced as Philomena.

"Let's move. The hag's lair is close," Vee said as Bertilak.

"Yeah, we'd all get moving," Luz agreed.

"As you make your way through the swampy forest, the mud reeks of rotting plants and you notice a great number of various animals like snakes, rats, and spiders around the area. The trees also become thick and twisted as you make your way through, decorated with strange figurines and rag dolls," Vee described. "I want a Perception check from each of you as well."

Everyone rolled their dice and counted up their totals to see what happens next in the story. "I have a natural 20," Luz exclaimed.

"11 to make 13," Amity says.

"5 to make 12," Willow added.

"16 total," Gus told everyone.

"13 for a 14 total," Hunter stated.

"Flat 14," King says.

"Carmen is the first one to see it before everyone else soon notices as well. Within every single tree is the same vines and fruit you saw in the swamp, all being corrupted like what Bertilak showed you earlier," Vee described. "Ever since you walked into the hag's territory, you've been seeing all these nasty and rotten Lockstone Fruits growing on every tree and bush you've seen."

"Look at all of these Lockstone Fruits," Luz voiced as Carmen. "Doesn't this seem too soon to find them? Even with what we saw in the swamp earlier?"

"Yeah, I think you're right," Gus said as Wrenn.

"If we think about where we first saw the fruits and where we are now, I believe there's only one answer to this," Amity said in Philomena's voice.

"I'm afraid you're right," Willow agreed as Sariel.

"This is too much for this one island. This many Lockstone Fruits would be enough to affect everyone in the Empire's capital," Hunter voiced as Caleb.

"I'm afraid that this is too big of an operation for a lone hag," Vee said as Bertilak. "We're probably looking at the work of a coven."

"Oh man, a coven of hags? That'll be tough, I bet," Luz said.

"I say we take a break and continue tomorrow," Camila suggested.

"Good idea," Vee agreed as she and the others wrote down the notes they needed. "We'll pick this up next time."

"Sounds good," everyone agreed before packing up all their supplies and heading upstairs.

And with that chapter finally done after too long of a break between them, we're back with the story. Hope you enjoyed reading that battle with the trolls. It was originally going to be one, but the battle was going so fast that I wanted to make it longer with a second one midway into the battle. Guess that's what happens with including the Green Knight of the Woods in the group. Either way, it's good to finally get some writing done after stuff like work, getting some wisdom teeth removed (I was fine during that. The doctor did well taking them out), and various holidays. As well as a lack of motivation at the time. But some more stuff involving new D&D videos online like RUSTAGE2's One Piece D&D campaigns.

If you want to know about the Lockstone Fruits, they're inspired by the Helheim Fruits in Kamen Rider Gaim. Those things are nasty when you don't have the right way of handling them. I highly recommend that show as well. It's really good.

Next time, our heroes will investigate the hag's lair and stop this larger operation. Until next time, WaterDragonMaverick signing out.
