Lincoln stood outside the bathroom door, waiting. Waiting for whoever was in there to finish. This was by no means an uncommon practice for the one and only son of the Loud Family. But there was something unusual about the occupant today.
Lincoln heard the sound of the toilet flushing. He backed away from the door, waiting for the occupant to come out. The door opened, the silhouette of the Loud woman shivering light someone had severely lowered the temperature. She looked around nervously as if someone could come and jump her any second now.
"Easy! Easy! This way. Lincoln said while holding her hand. She still looked nervous, but this seemed to put the Loud sister at ease. He began to gently escort her to his room. Once they were there, he left her in there and closed the door. Lincoln let out a sigh, he didn't know what was going on today. He heard the gently footsteps coming up the stairs. She's here at least.
"Okay. I got here as quickly as i could. Now what would this emergency be about exactly?" Lisa asked her older brother. Lincoln took Lisa's hand and took her to her room.
"I found someone in our backyard today. Me and Clyde were back there watching over Lily when i looked over the tree and saw this girl laying behind the tree. We don't know how she got there or why she was there. but she looks...she looks." Lincoln stuttered.
"She looks what?" Lisa asked.
"Y-You gotta see for yourself, Lise! Check the cameras!" Lincoln said while pointing at the laptop. Lisa starred at him blankly. Lincoln's face sunk into an unamused expression.
"Check the camera, Lisa. i know you installed one. Did you really think i didn't see the lens in the vents?" Lincoln said while tapping his foot. Lisa nervously smiled as she tiptoed towards the laptop. A few taps on her keyboard later and sure enough, She had footage of Lincoln's room. But what truly caught her off guard was the person occupying the room.
"Is that. Our eldest sister unit?"
"I thought so, but she looks so...so.."
"Disheveled? Neurotic? Like she might pass out from the slightest bit of stimuli?" Lisa asked.
"I was gonna say nervous. But i guess all of that works too." Lincoln responded.
"And you say you found her in the backyard?" Lisa asked.
"Yeah. She completely freaked out when i found her. I think her mind was still reeling, cause she kept mistaking me for her dad." Lincoln remarked. Lisa froze and looked at her older brother.
"She mistook you for her paternal unit?"
"She kept saying things like. "Dad? Why are you so small?" "Dad, where are the others?" "Dad, Why does the house look smaller?"" Lisa's gut seemed to sink with each word that came out of Lincoln's mouth.
"I'll...look into this. For now it would be in your best interest to keep an eye on her. Is anyone else in our housing unit aware of this?"
"Yeah, The younger sisters were in the living room when this happened. I told them i'd handle it." Lincoln replied.
"Excellent. For now, get the others to maintain their distance. As for you my elder brotherly unit, i suggest you keep an eye on her and try to get her to ease up."
"Got it." Lincoln replied. and with that, he headed out of Lisa's room. As Lisa began to ponder everything that Lincoln had told her, Her laptop's screen began to crackle and change into a green static. Lisa backed away from the laptop, raising her hands in an attempt to defend herself from whatever was about to happen next.
Suddenly, A window appeared on her screen. Someone was calling. Lisa hesitated for a bit, but she answered the call and was surprised to see who was at the other end.
"Greetings, Younger me."
Upon grabbing his door handle, he gently opened it to see the girl much more relaxed now. She was holding a comic book in her hand. The one Lincoln was reading earlier today before his mother told him to look after Lily for a while. The girl took her eyes off the comic book and her face contorted into worry upon seeing Lincoln.
"S-Sorry. i didn't mean to. I uhh..i-i just saw it on the bed and i...i got.." Lincoln closed the door and raised his hands.
"It's fine. I don't mind. I always welcome anyone who wants to get in the world of Ace Savvy." Lincoln winked. The girl looked away and scratched her head.
"You..." Lincoln threaded carefully. "You aren't Lori, are you?"
"No. i uhh..i don't know who that is." She said with a sheepish smile. something was off about the way she said that. But Lincoln didn't read too much into it.
"Sorry. It's just. You look so much like my sister. No offense." Lincoln said. The woman seemed to shiver at hearing that. Lincoln couldn't tell if he DID offend her.
"Umm..My name is Lincoln. Lincoln Loud. and you?" Lincoln asked. There was a pause before she answered.
"Loan..."
"And your last name?" Lincoln cautiously asked. Loan got a lot more nervous. Visibly so. She started stuttering. Lincoln placed a hand on her shoulder.
"If it's something you'd rather not reveal, that's fine." Lincoln assured. Loan looked at him shocked.
"Really?" Lincoln smiled. Reassuring her without saying anything. She looked away from him once more, but Lincoln could see a smile on her face.
"But then. What were you doing in our backyard. How did you end up here?" Lincoln asked. Loan seemed to pause for a few seconds before answering.
"I uhh...don't know. My mind is a bit..foggy." Loan said. Once again, Something felt off about that sentence. Lincoln looked worried. They both snapped out of their thoughts when they heard the sound of the door opening. Lisa had entered the room.
"Greetings Sibling. Greetings stranger. How are things going?" Lisa inquired. Lincoln looked at Loan. She glanced at Lincoln and then back at Lisa.
"I'm fine."
"Are you certain? Waking up with no memory of what happened is rather concerning." Lisa replied.
"You were listening?" Lincoln asked.
"Affirmative. If only to make sure our guest here has a good reason for being here." Lisa said. Loan shivered as the little genius eyes pierced through her being. She had a hunch Aunt Lisa knew exactly why and how she ended up here.
"Okay. So what now then?" Lincoln asked.
"I suggest let her stay for the time being." Lisa said. Both Lincoln and Loan looked at the young genius in surprise.
"Are you sure the others will be okay with this?" Lincoln asked.
"I'll have a sibling meeting arranged once everyone has returned home. We will explain everything to them and see if we can help her in anyway." Lisa responded. She turned to the door and grabbed the handle.
"In the meantime, I would appreciate it if you kept our guest here company." Lisa said.
"HUH?!" Both of them belted out. Lisa smirked and closed the door, but Lincoln quickly got between the door and grabbed Lisa.
"I..Why me?"
"Well. You're one of the more responsible sibling units in our home and she looks pretty nervous. And i've observed time and time again that you have the ability to help others come out of their shell. I'm certain you can help her ease in and calm down, my dearest elder sibling." Lisa said. Without saying much else. She closed the door.
Lincoln stood there in shock and then looked back at Loan, who blushed and looked away from him once more. Lincoln scratched his face, the resemblance to Lori was uncanny. But that wasn't Lori. Maybe this is one of Lisa's experiments? What would be the odds of that?
A cough snapped Lincoln out of his thoughts. He looked at the woman who was still nervously starring at him.
"Umm...So you like comics?" Lincoln said. trying to start a conversation.
"Y-yeah. My umm..My dad... He got me into them. Especially Ace Savvy." Loan responded.
"Cool. I've been a fan since i was six." Lincoln responded.
"R-Really now.?" Loan asked.
Silence kicked in once more.
"Do you like video games? i have this Muscle Fish game i bought recently and it has multiplayer. we could play it together if you want." Lincoln said.
Silence until...
"I would love that..." Loan said with a smile.
And thus ends the first true chapter of this story. Much like my White Hare story, I've always wanted to see the Sin Kids interact with the younger versions of the parents. But i've only come across a few stories like that. Like it says in the description, this is inspired by Migueruchan's drawings.
I plan on having the chapters be dedicated to one or two (or three) specific Sin Kid. They'll all get their turn in the current timeline but i didn't want to have all of them show up at the same time at the start.
And just as a heads up, The timeline they ended up in is one where the Loud Siblings don't have feelings for each other. So no hidden romance between Lincoln and his sisters. Sorry if that disappoints.
Anyways, Hope you guys liked this part!
