Hey Guys! Crescent Rider here and I welcome you all to my One Punch Man/Pokemon Crossover Story. But before you all begin, there are some things that I would like to share with you all.
The first thing on the list is my reason for making this fanfic. As I checked the One Punch Man/ Pokemon Crossover Section. There's only one, so I thought I'd make my own.
Then it brings us to the second part on the list, this idea hasn't vanished from my mind and I sometimes pondered about the scenarios. After all, the Pokemon I picked for this story is Mew and there are still some questions that need answering.
The third part on the list revolves around their appearance and the chosen gender for this fanfic. Should Mew maintain their current appearance or take on a human form? If it's the latter, should Mew be a boy or a girl? (I use 'they' because Mew is genderless)
and now the fourth and last part of the list, you're all well aware that Mew can transform into any Pokemon they want to be. For that matter, I wondered; Can Mew transform into other Mythical Pokemon? I'm aware that Mew can transform into anything even Arceus in the games.
But by lore standards, I wonder if they can do it. I know Mew can transform into Legendary Pokemon, even multiple Legendaries at once. But can the same be said for Mythical Pokemon? I'll accept both positive and negative answers to that question.
That is all I have to say and enjoy the chapter!
Disclaimer: I don't own anything.
Pokemon World
Somewhere far from Human Civilization, Mew was resting at the bottom of a river until it senses a malevolent presence in the area. It caused Mew to awaken and emerge from the river.
With Mew's Psychic Powers, it pinpointed the location and hovered its way towards the source. After minutes of hovering through the air, it soon finds the source.
It was a tear at the very fabric of space and can be easily overlooked by the average Pokemon. As for Mew, it felt different as if something malicious is attempting to make its way from the world beyond here.
If left unattended, it may result to a catastrophe in the Pokemon World. Thus, Mew took it upon itself to seal the tear before it widened and concentrated its psychic powers to close the gap.
As it was nearing succession, it soon heard a faint voice from the crack, "You dare..."
"Mew?" Mew mouthed in confusion as it focused on closing the tear with its powers.
But just as it closed, the entity that spoke seemingly retaliated by enveloping Mew with light and pulled towards the tear before it was sealed.
Moments later, the tear had been sealed and Mew was nowhere to be found...
Somewhere...
As the light dies down in Mew's eyes, it finds itself in space and faces what appears to be the surface of a planet. But when it hovers back, it soon learns that it is facing the moon and finds Earth when it turns around.
But unlike the world Mew knows, this seems vastly different compared to the world it came from. Thus, Mew made its way to this Earth and uncovered answers to understand its current situation.
Somewhere in Orbit
A space station was orbiting around Earth's Atmosphere and two astronauts were seen performing some maintenance checks on one side of the station. They were there for a couple of minutes, then one of the astronauts spotted something out of the ordinary...
"What the..." Astronaut 1 muttered,
"What is it?" Astronaut 2 inquired, then he carefully to the right,
There, the two astronauts were up close to Mew who seemed to be staring at them.
"Whoa..." Astronaut 2 mouthed,
"Mew?" Mew mouthed as it tilted its head to the right,
While Astronaut 2 and Mew occupy themselves, Astronaut 1 decides to report Mew's sighting to his superiors, "Come in, Mission Control. Are you getting this?"
"Affirmative and we've informed the Heroes Association of this sighting" Mission Control replied, "Has the creature shown any hostility towards you?"
"Uh, Negative... It's just staring at us," Astronaut 1 reported, 'Just what is that thing...'
Mew continued to stare at the Astronauts, then its head and ears perked up as it turned towards Earth. The Astronaut slowly followed its gaze and noticed the clouds slowly clearing on a certain area.
Before long, Mew dashes toward Earth and the two Astronauts expressed two separate reactions.
"Whoa!" Astronaut 2 exclaimed,
"Mission Control. The Unidentified Life Form has left the station and is heading towards Earth," Astronaut 1 hastily reported, "Based on its trajectory, it's making it way towards an area where City - A is located,"
"Copy, We'll update the situation to the Heroes Association now," Mission Control reported,
"Did you see how fast that thing went?" Astronaut 2 inquired, "It's almost like it wasn't here a moment ago,"
"Yeah, do you think it came to attack Earth?" Astronaut 1 questioned,
"If it did, it would have attacked us when it first saw us," Astronaut 2 remarked,
"Well whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be the Association's problem now..." Astronaut 1 said,
After their encounter with an alien life form, the Astronauts continued their work then they made their way back inside the station. However, they will never forget this encounter throughout their entire lifetime.
Planet Surface
Descending fast, Mew used its psychic barrier to shield itself upon entering the planet. Its barrier was burning up fast but endured long enough for it to pass and Mew soon reached the cloud level of this Earth.
After it was closing in on the surface, Mew dispelled the barrier and hovered its way toward the area where it had sensed energy earlier. Upon arrival, Mew was greeted with a city in shambles and the destruction was unlike anything it had seen in its lifetime.
With its psychic powers, Mew attempts to find people or Pokemon buried beneath this destruction. Though it found people buried beneath the rubble, it hasn't found a single Pokemon within its vicinity.
Upon confirmation of every survivor beneath this city, Mew emitted several bubbles made from its psychic energy and enveloped itself to every survivor beneath the rubble. It then carefully lifted them out of the rubble and into the surface.
After every survivor was saved, Mew gathered them all together in an open area and gently dropped them on the ground. However, they appear to be bruised and unconscious from whatever attacked them.
Mew would use a particular move that heals their injuries and then smile knowing that they're going to be alright, but that moment was soon interrupted when it sensed an attack. In response, Mew conjures its barrier and shields itself from its attacker. When it turned towards the attacker, Mew was greeted by five people but they seemed armed and cautious around its presence.
"That creature... There's no doubt about it," The mustache man remarked, "It's the one that was spotted from outer space,"
"From outer space? Then that means it isn't related to that monster we fought earlier," The man with a mechanical nose presumed,
"Look there!" A cyclist yelled, "It looks like people, and they appear to be unconscious,"
"Whatever it did to them, it may not have been good," The suited man remarked, "We'd better handle it now before it hurts them,"
With that, all five men charged at Mew with weapons readied and a battle cry. However, Mew wasn't concerned in the slightest as it used its psychic powers to stop them in place and it shocked all five heroes at once.
Mew then approached the five and noticed that they were all injured. Presumably against the one responsible for this destruction. While Mew ponders to himself, the five men express their concern for the situation.
"I can't move!" The man with a crest moon said, "Did it restrain us?!"
"But how... What did it use to restrain us?" The suited man questioned as he couldn't move a muscle, not even a finger
The rest of the men were gritting their teeth as they were helpless against Mew. At first, they thought they were going to be killed by this creature.
But that turned out to be false as Mew used the same move to heal their injuries and then released them after their wounds had been healed properly. The five men now gazed upon Mew as it flew around in circles, let out a childish giggle, and then seemingly left by flying above the clouds.
With Mew gone, the five heroes were all stunned by this event. Then cyclist snaps out of it as he goes to check on the people lying on the ground. The rest would follow suit, and then they all noticed that people on the ground were healed of their injuries as well.
Thus, they were conflicted about whether Mew could be considered a threat to them. It may have healed them and presumably saved these people beneath the rubble, but the way it uses its powers is proof that such a creature shouldn't be treated lightly.
For this encounter, they've decided to report the matter to the higher-ups of the Heroes Association, determine its intentions, and gain further insight into its powers.
Skies
As Mew to soars through the skies, it used its psychic powers in search of any Pokemon that may live in this world. So far, it only sees humans in masses and it concerns Mew.
Should Mew attempt to interact with people, they'll be afraid of it due to its outward appearance. Not even its transformation to Pokemon forms would provide beneficial aid to this world.
In other words, Mew had come to the conclusion that the tear sent it to a foreign world devoid of Pokemon.
As it continued its journey, Mew continued to soar across the skies until the sun had set and decided to find a place to rest rather than stay in a wild it wasn't familiar with.
Mew would descend from the sky and found what appears to be an abandoned city. Even though electricity is still running across the street lights, Mew doesn't sense any humans nearby.
Thus, it goes further into this part of the city and a safe place to rest whenever Mew tires from traveling long distances.
Moments later, Mew spots a building with a lit room and goes to inspect the place. Upon arrival, it landed on the balcony and sets its sights inside the room.
With Mew's psychic powers, it is discovered that the room only has one human occupant and is nowhere to be found. Mew presumed that the occupant must've been in another room for the time being, and decided not to pry into the room.
Instead, it curled itself into a ball on one corner of the balcony and rested like some stray in the street. Since the building has one occupant. Then it's safe to assume that they won't harm it without reason...
Inside the Room
After a warm bath, the occupant of the room had switched into their pajamas, and watch today's news before going to bed.
That's when they found out about an alien that was recently found in outer space and is currently seen on the Earth's Surface. Experts state that they have yet to determine on whether this alien is a threat or not.
Some even claimed that it saved people beneath the rubble of City - A after it was recently attacked by a monster. The picture of said alien has been displayed for people to see, and the occupant had one particular thought of this alien, 'It looks more like a cat...'
After today's news has been said, the occupant turns off the television, shuts the light off, and goes into bed for a good night's rest. Unaware of the fact that the very same alien is residing on their balcony...
That is it for this chapter guys, and before you all go. I wanted to let you all know that I intentionally cut off the part where a giant was rampaging on City-B because it doesn't seem mandatory for Mew to get involved.
So, I've decided to jump ahead and have Mew find that particular apartment. As for Mew's meeting with a certain hero for fun, I'll try to think of something as I work that part out.
That is all I have to say, and I'll see you all soon in the next chapter!
