Outside Kelly's Diner – The next morning

"You have to give me something, Jordan," Taggert said, "I can't just stand around and do nothing while that lunatic Cassadine has my baby girl. My field office already denied my requests to assist."

"I can't put you in the field and risk Victor getting off on a technicality," Jordan said, "You're just going to have to wait and if you hear anything, let me know."

"Jordan," Taggert replied, starting protest.

"I get it, Taggert," Jordan said as Sonny came around the corner, "I was in this position with TJ and Cyrus not that long ago. You've got to let us do our jobs."

"Commissioner Ashford," Sonny said, "I'm glad I ran into you. Kellie wanted me to let you know that if the PCPD needs anything, resources, information, you shouldn't hesitate to reach out to her with regards to finding Spencer, Ace, and the Haunted Star. She's seeing what her foundation and law enforcement contacts might be able to provide or come up with."

"That might actually be helpful if we can locate where they're at," Jordan said.

"If there's any useful information that you can share with her," Sonny said, "She'd appreciate it."

"I'll give her a call and share what I can," Jordan said.

"Is she aware Cassadine has my daughter?" Taggert growled.

"She may not be aware yet," Jordan said, "We just confirmed that Trina was last seen with Spencer and hasn't been heard from."

"If she's not, I'll make sure she is," Sonny said.

"Kellie's actually speaking to you?" Taggert questioned, skeptically, "Or is your former errand boy relaying messages to her."

Sonny looked irked at Taggert, "Whatever differences Kellie and I have, she's not going to let that stand in the way of making sure her cousin and everyone else gets home safely."

"Excuse me," Jordan said, checking her phone, "I have to…"

"Go on," Taggert said, "Keep me posted.

"Of course," Jordan said, leaving.

Sonny and Taggert stared at each other.

"Is Kellie at her foundation, then?" Taggert asked, "I assume that's where she'd run any operations from."

"Her foundation team is," Sonny said, "Jason said she's at her studio coordinating with the foundation and some other avenues."

"So Anger Boy is relaying messages," Taggert said.

"You got one for her?" Sonny asked.

"I'll give it to her myself, Sonny," Taggert said, walking away.

Kellie's Self Defense Studio – Back Office

Kellie was on the phone with Dante when Jason walked in with coffee and bagels.

"I hear you're unofficially looking into Obrecht, Spencer, and Ace's disappearances and Victor Cassadine," Dante said.

"Something like that," Kellie said, as Jason handed Kellie her coffee and set the bagels on the desk, "Just making sure resources are ready to go if needed depending on what happens."

"Is that all, little sister?" Dante replied.

"Pretend I just threw something at you through the phone," Kellie said, "You're not that much older than me. Now why are you curious about my unofficial activities?"

"Some new information came to light I think you should be aware of" Dante said, "Trina Robinson was last seen with Spencer and we've just confirmed no one has seen or heard from her since."

"Then Victor probably has her too," Kellie said, "I appreciate the information. I will say one thing Victor Cassadine is going to have his hands full."

"How so?" Dante asked.

"If Obrecht's not there willingly, whatever Victor wants," Kellie said, "She'll figure out how to con Victor into thinking she's cooperating when she's really not. Trina is certainly resourceful. She'll fight Victor every step of the way. And Spencer…well…"

"Is Spencer," Dante said, "I hate to cut this short, but I've got to follow up on some leads."

"Keep me informed," Kellie said.

"You know I can't really do that," Dante said, "I'd be remiss as your older brother if I didn't caution you against interfering in a police investigation."

"It's not interfering when you find a lead and pass it off to the police to follow up on," Kellie said.

"Until you stage your own rescue mission," Dante said.

"Only if you and the PCPD don't get there fast enough," Kellie said, "I will let you get back to your sleuthing or detectiving or whatever you call it."

Kellie hung up before Dante could respond and turned her attention to Jason.

"Victor has Trina Robinson too?" Jason asked, having heard Kellie's side of the conversation.

It looks that way," Kellie replied, "Did you get a chance to talk to Drew?"

"He didn't have much to go on," Jason said, "The only detail that might provide a lead is the name of the operation Victor was obsessed with. Something called Operation Demeter."

"Well it gives me something to look for," Kellie said, "With any luck, Director Vance can get me some information on that."

"Also, the Ice Princess also had some sort of code etched on to it," Jason said, "That might be why Victor needed it."

"I can't understand how the Haunted Star can't be found by anyone right now," Kellie said.

"Did Director Vance say if NCIS or the Navy was able to pick up anything?" Jason asked.

Kellie shook her head, "Not yet."

Kellie sipped her coffee and pondered her next move. Jason moved closer to Kellie and rubbed her shoulders.

"We're going to find Spencer and everyone else," Jason said, "Too many people are looking for him."

"I just hope we find them all in time," Kellie said, "To stop whatever Victor is planning and get Obrecht here for Willow's bone marrow transplant. Willow doesn't have a lot of time."

They were interrupted by Johnny entering the office.

"Taggert is banging on the front door," Johnny said, "He seems pretty agitated."

"His daughter was also kidnapped with Spencer," Kellie said, "Dante just told me. I'll let Taggert in."

Kellie left the office. Jason and Johnny followed her.

Kellie unlocked and opened the door.

"Taggert, you're scaring my customers," Kellie said.

"Seems kind of empty in there," Taggert said, entering the building, "I want in."

"Somehow I wouldn't think my self-defense classes were something you'd need?" Kellie asked.

"Now's not the time to play cute, Corinthos," Taggert said, "My daughter is missing now thanks to your reprobate cousin. Jordan is keeping me away from the official investigation."

"Which would be expected," Kellie said.

"Based on my conversation with your father this morning, I'd say you're running your own shadow investigation," Taggert said, "I want in."

"I have feelers out with some of my law enforcement contacts," Kellie said, "My uncle is my point of contact with the foundation while they figure out logistics for a potential rescue operation. That's really all I'm doing."

"Tell that to someone that hasn't watched you in action for years," Taggert replied, "I'm sure you've gotten Spinelli and Sam investigating all kinds of angles. Not to mention, Anger Boy's business resources."

Kellie stared Taggert down.

"It's my baby girl, Kellie," Taggert said, "I cannot sit around on the sidelines while she's in danger. You can't tell me you wouldn't do the same thing if the roles were reversed and it was one of your kids."

"Truth be told," Johnny chimed in, "She'd be doing what's she's doing now."

Kellie glared at Johnny.

"It's true," Johnny said unfazed.

"If I tell you to stand down or hold back," Kellie said, "I expect you can do that."

"Whatever it takes to bring my daughter home safely," Taggert said.

"Come on," Kellie said, "What you're about to see. You tell no one about. I mean no one."

"Okay," Taggert replied confused.

"I mean it, no one," Kellie said, motioning for Taggert to follow her.

Taggert followed her along with Jason and Johnny to what looked like a closet door in the back of the studio. Kellie opened the door, revealing the other side of the warehouse.

"You own the other side of the warehouse?" Taggert said, surprised.

"Figured I might need the space," Kellie said, as they entered to the warehouse

Taggert found a handful of people busy, including Sam, Kristina, Milo, and Spinelli as well computers and technology and a full set up to run investigations from.

Taggert took in the surroundings and looked at Kellie surprised.

"This is wow," Taggert said, more to himself.

"Greetings…," Spinelli started to say, noticing Taggert.

"Don't even think about finishing that with a nickname," Taggert interrupted.

Kellie let out an ear-piercing whistle getting everyone's attention.

"I've just been informed that Trina Robinson has been added to the list of hostages," Kellie said, "She was last seen with Spencer and hasn't been heard from since."

Gasps and murmurs were heard around the room in response.

"Trina's father, Marcus Taggert, will be assisting in our research efforts," Kellie said, "Milo, how's the research on the Ice Princess coming?"

"Haven't gotten to it yet," Milo said, "I've been focus on coordinating some leads and resources with Zach Slater's people, the non-casino ones."

"Taggert will take over the Ice Princess angle," Kellie said.

"The Ice Princess?" Taggert exploded, "How is that going to help find my daughter?"

"Not sure yet," Kellie said, "But Victor has been obsessed with getting the Ice Princess back and now has it, along with codes or coordinates etched into it. Considering it was used to freeze the world or something and knowing the Cassadines, I have to wonder if he doesn't have something similarly diabolical planned. I might be reaching at straws. Or…."

"Or it could be the key to making sense of what he's up to and finding Trina," Taggert said, "What kind of information are you looking for?"

"Most of us here have no working knowledge of the original incident," Kellie said, "It was before our time. We'll need the basic background information to start with and then delving to any other investigations or inquiries, movements, Cassadine connections since then up until now."

"What angles are you all taking?" Taggert asked.

"Sam and Spinelli are researching current movement of the Haunted Star and Victor Cassadines," Kellie said, "And information on his associates and their movements. Milo is coordinating with Adam, one of Zach Slater's people?"

"Zach Slater?" Taggert asked, "Your business partner in the casino?"

"His interests vary," Kellie said, "Specifically, Milo's working with the people that helped me fake my death years ago and helped me one up Helena Cassadine when she kidnapped and tried to brainwash me. They'll be good for other intel and deploying resources quickly while law enforcement and even my foundation rescue teams still need to cut through red tape. Kristina and Slater are seeing if any of our associates in the casino industry have run across the Haunted Star."

"Your foundation, any involvement from them," Taggert asked.

"My Uncle Lo is overseeing a standard inquiry into a rescue op," Kellie said, "Same as any other situation they might encounter in this manner. He'll share information with me as needed. Hey Spinelli, could you get Taggert set up with a computer and make sure he has access to our briefing notes with all possible connections to keep in mind."

Kellie turned her attention back to Taggert, "On the computer, we have a document that you can update with anything you think might be helpful to anyone else. Spinelli also set up a program on our systems that will track all documents and research items added into the computer and uploaded it to a database. It'll flag connections. We have several people monitoring that for anything we might need to look at more thoroughly or in depth."

"This is a really nice set up," Taggert said.

"I kind of figured it might make sense to have my own space to do this kind of stuff," Kellie said, "Rather than try to coordinate from a back office or the living room. We have restrooms and a break room obviously. Break room is stocked with food and drinks if you want. A couple of private conference rooms and another room with some cots if you need a nap"

"You really did think of everything," Taggert said as Spinelli waved Taggert over to a computer.

"I'll leave you to Spinelli," Kellie said, "I've got a lead to follow up on with NCIS. Operation Demeter. Some black op Drew Cain said Victor Cassadine thought he was involved with and obsessed with getting information from him about."
