The Bracken slowly rose further and further up into the sky above Greengate, desperately trying to break out of the planet's orbit before anti-air defences left over from the Rusani war would reactivate and destroy all men, women and children aboard…The skies of the paradise world were turning a tangerine orange as the sun set and dusk set in…The stars above slowly beginning to twinkle with distant light…

The bridge of the gargantuan diplomatic vessel was a work of art in splendour and design, the ceiling itself being a shimmering glass dome that gave a spectacular view of the sky above…Great towering golden statues of Seedrian kings stood in the heart of the great chamber…Their hands outstretched in a pose that made them appear as if they were holding up a great holographic display of the world of Greengate…

The display of the Seedrian home-world was gargantuan, easily dwarfing all other displays and decorations within the bridge of the Bracken, and projected across the surface of the planet…Smaller, crimson displays were in place, signalling the location of gun batteries and anti-air weaponry all across the planets surface…

On the smaller displays, numerous Seedrians frantically swiped their hands, analysed data displays and generally did all they could in hope that they could get off world and make the slip space jump to Rusan as quickly as possible, without any snags or problems arising…

Normally the bridges of Seedrian star-ships were places of peace, calm and harmonious work…Where ship-masters and mistresses could keep a calm and ever vigilant watch over their vessels, confident in the abilities of their crew and their own skills as commanders…They were usually nigh silent in fact, with the only sounds being the whooshes and beeps of holo-displays and the soft breathing of those who managed the large circular, basin shaped consoles that showed the holograms…At least…That had been Earthia and Galaxina's experience with them…Cosmo had never been on the bridge of a star ship before…And due to unfortunate circumstance this was her first experience of it.

What was happening on the bridge at present was nothing short of frenzied pandemonium…Be it the constant fretting and silent prayers being murmured under the breaths of the crew members, hoping that they would get out of orbit swiftly enough, the yells and screams of frustration as they tried to activate and deactivate certain systems aboard the ship and the fact that their supposedly benevolent emperor Lucas had betrayed them and was in all likelihood going to try and kill them before they reached the world of Rusan…

Cosmo clung to Galaxina and her mother, watching the chaos as it unfolded before her…A horrible creeping fear shooting down her spine…What she thought would have made a relatively nice first holiday off world was now turning into a waking nightmare and desperate matter of life and death…And it was all because of her father of all people…

That knowledge only made the fear within her bubble up even more…For what kind of foul and unnatural thing could corrupt something like him? Whenever she had been around him, he had always been calm, kind, intelligent, wise and reassuring…He had been everything a father was supposed to be for his child, however here he was now…Trying to kill her mother and maybe even her and Galaxina too…It was utterly horrifying…However she wouldn't cry…Not yet…She had to be strong…For her mother and sister…She couldn't stress them out anymore than they already were, that would be inconsiderate of her.

"Chrysanthemum? Status report please!" Earthia called out to the crew members, one of them turned their head, a darker skinned and haired Seedrian in a purple dress not dissimilar to that of Earthia's got up from her chair on the Command deck and strode towards the head diplomat and former Emperor's consort.

"Of course Earthia, we've just broken out of atmosphere however now we need to activate the slip-space drive so we can get out of this system and shake off your husband's fleet that'll likely be soon to launch in pursuit…I don't understand why he would do this to you and your girls…Mrs Ironvine I'm so sorry…" she said, bowing her head with melancholy lacing her tone…

Earthia however just waved her hand and spoke in an equally deflated voice,

"It's alright…It's not your fault at all…If Lucas wants to commit unspeakable acts in the name of his so called, "Honour" then let him…But I refuse to follow him over the cliff…I may be an Ironvine by law, but I will always be a Rosacea by blood! And it'll be the same for Cosmo and Galaxina…Tell the crew to boot up the slip-space drives…We have a lot of work to d-"

BANG!

A massive shockwave erupted throughout the ship, the cacophony of the sensation causing Seedrians to clutch their ears in pain while the blast sent crew members and the Rosacea's tumbling to the ground…Green light bloomed across the glass window: a thin layer of protection that separated the crew and Rosacea's to the cold void of space…

The emerald green light flickered momentarily, displaying the energy fields that covered the ship, resting invisibly until it was time for them to absorb whatever punishment the ship needed to take…

Crew members and the Rosacea's scrambled to their feet alike, Earthia helping her frightened daughters up to their feet practically screaming at the crew.

"ACTIVATE THE SLIP-SPACE DRIVE! NOW DAMN YOU!"

Her frenzied and panicked words frightened the girls even more…It was unlike their mother to lose her cool to begin with…But to hear this level of…fear and terror from her…That was utterly horrifying…

Galaxina heard small sniffles coming from her younger sister, looking down at her side to see Cosmo desperately trying not to have a full blown nervous breakdown at the situation…So she wrapped the younger Seedrian in a tight embrace…Praying to herself quietly that everything would be alright…

"SLIP-SPACE DRIVE ACTIVE EARTHIA HOWEVER…IT'S COURSE IS UNKNOWN, WE HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IT LEADS TOO! AND…WAIT…WE'VE PICKED UP MULTIPLE BALLISTA CLASS MISSILES ON OUR TRAIL! AND THE BRACKEN'S TOO SLOW TO OUTPACE THEM!" Chrysanthemum called out, visibly mortified.

Upon the gargantuan holo-display of Greengate, multiple red streaks were beginning to appear, signalling where the missiles were being launched from…Each individual one carrying a payload capable of levelling a small village….So to have over fifty of them directed at one target…There was no way the ship would be able to hold itself together…Only the escape pods and shuttles could hope to escape the blast radius in time…

"WHAT ABOUT THE ESCAPE PODS?! THEY'RE AVAILABLE RIGHT?!"

"THERE'S ONLY ONE LEFT EARTHIA! A TWO SEATER IN THE LAUNCH BAY! THE REST AS WELL AS THE FIGHTERS WERE DESTROYED BY THE FIRST STRIKE!"

Earthia felt the sap in her veins run cold and her face go white as a sheet…Only one escape pod…And it was for two people…There were well over a thousand Seedrians aboard the Bracken…And only two of them would be spared from the destruction that was soon to follow them…

Earthia looked around the bridge…She could see each and every one of them weeping quietly to themselves, others were eying the Sol-Pistols that hung at their belts…Wishing to take their lives in one burst of silver light and die on their own terms rather than being destroyed by the missiles…And others embracing each other…Wishing to accept their ends with dignity and without any fear in their hearts…

But Earthia wouldn't have it…It couldn't end like this…She aggressively grabbed the hands of her two daughters and sprinted away from the bridge as quickly as she could…She wouldn't let her children die here…she wouldn't, she refused to! She may day this day…But not them.

The three rushed through the hallways, having no time to admire the absolutely stunning works of Seedrian architecture that beautifully decorated it…Almost making it seem as if it were a castle in the void…Great Statues and portraits of Seedrian kings, Emperors and warriors aligning the hallway, golden trees and floral patterns streaking along the carved marble and amethyst walls…That bathed them in shimmering golden light…It was a waste…Such beauty and culture to be so senselessly destroyed…

All three of them thought that, even Cosmo who had never harboured a lot of deep interest for things such as architecture and sculpting…Thought it was saddening how something so utterly beautiful should be destroyed…

But they had no time to waste…What mattered was getting to the escape pod…And getting off of the ship and through the slip space portal that had opened up before the missiles struck home…

Even the escape pod bay was absolutely stunning in terms of craftsmanship and artwork…It was a large cavern like chamber, lit by glowing crystalline pillars that stood proudly in the bay…Their quartz like surfaces decorated with golden glyphs that displayed proud moments from Seedrian history and patterns indicating their connection with nature, showing vine growths, buds opening in the spring and great woodlands depicted in differing shades of gold…

It made the room glow like a distant star…Cosmo and Galaxina pausing in their movement to take in the beauty of the room…Each of them utterly blown away by it's sheer magnificent splendour…Was it any wonder that their father was so proud of their civilisation and why Earthia was so excited to take the interstellar journey to Rusan?

But their mother was just as adamant on getting to the single remaining escape pod in time…The diplomat rushed over to one of the large ornately decorated circular doors…Pressing at the console to the side of it's entrance…

The doors hissed open and the two young Seedrians rushed inside…Elated to have found their way off of the ship…The escape pod itself was rather large, being around the size of the bedroom they were supposed to rest in on their journey to Rusan…However instead of comforts and bedding befitting that of a place of rest…There were a series of consoles and terminals, each one specifically engineered for a function so that whoever needed to use It could get out of a sticky situation as quickly and as safely as possible…And in classic Seedrian fashion, it would be in style too…Many of the consoles were ornate in nature and decorated with gleaming shards of amethyst, onyx and sapphire…With numerous Seedrian glyphs depicted in glowing gold…

The two chairs of the escape pod were luxurious as well…Being more akin to thrones than something to sit in to ensure survival…However…Then it clicked in their minds…There were only two seats in the pod…And that meant…

"MOTHER!"

The turned around and saw their mother toss a small device into the pod before returning to the console and shutting the door with a loud hiss of steam…Both Seedrian girls rushed over to the door…Banging on the small glass window, their hearts beating furiously.

"MOTHER STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Galaxina cried, fighting to keep back tears.

Earthia merely looked down sadly, clearly trying to keep herself from crying as she placed her hand on the glass.

"I'm sorry girls…But I can't come with you…The pod is for two people only…And I won't let you die because of your father's crimes!"

Galaxina smashed her fist against the glass, her tears freely flowing now.

"NO! YOU CAN'T PLEASE MOTHER…PLEASE…DON'T!" she wailed…

Cosmo felt too…Stunned to even say anything…Too shocked to the bone to show even the slightest flicker of emotion…her hands were trembling and her face was as pale as a sheet…It couldn't be happening…All of this couldn't be happening…This was some horrible dream…It had to be…right? At any moment she would be waking up in her bed and everything would be back to normal…She would be getting up, put on her clothes and go back to either learning on how to become a proper Seedrian lady from her mother, playing with Galaxina or reading her books…This couldn't be happening…It was…It was…Impossible…

"I'm sorry Galaxina…But…I have too…for your sake…I want you to be strong girls…Both of you…You take care of each other…Promise me…Promise me you will…" Earthia whispered, tears streaming down her face…But still having a comforting, loving smile on her face…

Galaxina merely nodded…Her lip quivering and her amethyst eyes red and puffy from her tears…Earthia's gaze then turned to her younger daughter who was still standing as still as a statue, shaking and pale…Trying her best to delude herself into thinking none of what was happening was real…That it was all in her head…

"Cosmo…Sweetheart…Look at me…" Earthia whispered…Trying to break her daughter out of her semi-catatonic state.

She snapped out of it almost instantaneously and turned to the face of her mother…Trying her best to quell the sorrow in her heart and stop her tears from flowing as she heard her mother's last words to them.

"I know this is going to hurt…For a very long time…But please know that I love you and your sister very much…And I always will…and that all I want for you and your sister is to be safe and sound…That's why I'm giving you my final gift…The Circino…It'll be your guiding light in the big wide galaxy…Showing your coordinates on the galactic map…And…And serving as a reminder to you both…That I am very proud of both of you…And that I always will be with you…In your hearts…I promise…Now…Go…I love you both…Never forget that."

And witht hose final words, she finally pressed the launch button on the escape pod capsule…Giving them both one last smile before the photon-drives of the escape pod activated and sent them catapulting out of the ship at high speed...Shooting headlong to the gargantuan slip-space portal…A great vortex of shimmering purples and pinks…Like it was a portal to another dimension…And on the other side…Was the salvation of the two girls…At least Earthia thought so…

"NOOOOOO!" Cosmo shrieked as she saw the figure of their mother grow smaller and smaller as they were ejected further and further into space…All of her emotion exploding to the surface like a long dormant volcano exploding to life…

"MOTHER!" Galaxina screamed…Dropping to her knees and sobbing…Not even caring of where the slip-space portal was going to lead them…Cosmo joined her…clutching at the only sane family she had left…sobbing uncontrollably at the inevitable loss of their mother…

A blinding flash came shining in from the window, like the sun breaking through the early morning clouds…However for very different reasons as the Ballista Missiles finally struck home…Their devastating payload delivering swift death to the Bracken…And all hands on board…The only two survivors clutching each other…Sobbing like the frightened and hurt children they were…Hurtling into an unknown location…not knowing what their fates would be…

The escape pod began to violently shake as it entered the portal…The gravitational forces being bearable for a vessel the size of the Bracken…But for a mere escape pod? It couldn't handle those forces for long…The interior began to violently shake…Causing the two sisters to separate as they began to slowly begin tumbling around the interior of the pod…

"AHHHHHHH!" The two screamed with fears as they could feel themselves being flung around, colliding with the consoles painfully, pain rupturing all over their bodies as they were shaken around as if they were stuck in some horrible vortex, colliding with every possible object and piece of furniture…

However it began to die down quickly as they passed from one end of the slip-space tunnel to the other…But it did not mean that the two girls were having an easier experience…They were still being flung around the escape pod, colliding with pain against the walls, consoles, chairs and windows…Their minds filled with regret over not getting into the chairs and fastening seatbelts in preparation for landing…

Cosmo winced to herself as she felt her head collide with the metal wall, a throbbing agony encompassing her brain like a thick blanket…Her vision blurring and her ears ringing, not even being able to recover before being slammed against another…This time a small chunk of the wall panel going with her…Exposing the damaged wiring underneath…Crackling with lethal amounts of electricity…

Cosmo forced herself to her knees weakly…Trying her best to stave off unconsciousness…Everything growing more and more blurry and hard to see by the second…Her strength slowly draining from her body…She was in pain…so much pain…Emotional and physical alike…But clearly fate was not finished torturing her just yet…

Her eyes drifted to her older sister…Who was desperately holding onto one of the chairs…Clinging on for dear life…Hoping…Praying that she would last long enough to survive her way through the last part of the slip-space portal…One last thunderous crash rang across the now heavily damaged pod…The sheer force of the blow causing Galaxia to be sent flying from the chair…Colliding against the damaged wall with a loud thud…

The older Seedrian girl screamed in agony as dozens of thousands of volts of power ripped through her body…Overloading her nervous system…making her feel as if she was on fire…

"GALAXINA!" Cosmo screamed, watching her older sister's limp body fall from the wall as the pod finally broke free of the slip space portal…Emerging on the other side into an unknown part of the galaxy in a damaged pod…Scared, upset…And with an incapacitated sister…

But Cosmo didn't even have the opportunity to crawl over to her wounded sister…The agony and cranial trauma she experienced finally overcoming her body…Causing her to weakly collapse beside her sister's limp body…Falling out of consciousness…While the pod slowly drifted towards it's destination…A planet…Of blue and green…

(Meanwhile)

Location: Knothole outskirts.

The light of dawn slowly began to spread across the rustic landscapes of Knothole…A peaceful, rustic, rural escape from the bustling metropolitan cityscapes of Station Square and Empire City…A place where the colourful songbirds of the morn would release their sweet melodies into the crisp, cool spring air, admit the gentle whisper of the wind and the gentle rush of streams that wound down from the rolling hills that dotted the landscape…Making Knothole seem almost…Picturesque and peaceful…Too picturesque and peaceful.

While Spagonia was beautiful due to it's absolutely stunning cities and culture, Apotos for it's absolutely gorgeous isles and coastlines and Adabat for it's lush tropical jungles and white sanded beaches…It was Knothole that Sonic the Hedgehog considered to be the most beautiful place in the world…

The great hero of Mobius looked up at the tangerine skies as he rushed over the rolling hills, weaved through the deciduous light woodlands and shrubberies that dotted the landscape and leaping over the crystal white streams…A blue blur that roared through a nigh silent world…A great trail of water vapour following him from the dew that had gathered on the grass and flowers on the hillsides and fields that had been kicked up into the air behind his lightning quick footsteps.

The moon was still in full view, one half fully exposed, revealing the numerous craters and mountain ranges on that impossibly far away rock…The other obscured in shadow and darkness…Stars still twinkled in the orange skies that were slowly beginning to brighten to a faint blue…Even through the thin, wispy cirrostratus clouds that dotted the sky…One twinkling brighter than the others specifically.

But it was of no concern to the hedgehog as he began to dart down one particularly high hill…The sound of the wind rushing in his ears as he ran headlong, bouncing from one cragged rock ledge and boulder to the very next, his speed and agility making him appear like a glowing blue pinball that effortlessly bounced from obstacle to obstacle…

Yet he wasn't alone…Following behind him was another blur…Not as fast as the great hero of Mobius, but more than quick enough to keep up behind the hero himself…This particular blur was white, yellow and red in colouration...

Sonic peered back behind him, chuckling to himself as they leapt over another small winding stream of crystal white water…The sight of his follower amused him, but also filled him with a sense of pride…This was one of the first times that he had been able to consistently keep up with him…All of those practice sessions hadn't been going to waste.

"GOOD MILES! KEEP IT UP!" he called backwards…Slowing down as he began to notice faint, wispy trails of smoke rising into the sky, indicating the presence of civilisation…

As his follower slowed down, his features became more noticeable…It was a young fox, twelve years of age with fluffy, yellowish orange fur with snowy white fur around the fox's muzzle and two long, bushy white tipped tails and bright blue eyes the colour of a summer sky…

He was adorned in a fine red coat that sported two golden buttons on each side of the fox's chest that were attached to white straps that rang along the sides of the coat, leading to two other pairs of identical buttons on the back…A silver zipper ran down the length of the coat with additional white lines running down the arms of the coat as well.

On his legs the fox wore a set of fine black trousers that led down to a fine set of white tipped trainers, not too dissimilar from the hedgehog's own, however these were reinforced with thin bands of steel that separated the two colours, making the footwear more sturdy and reliable and under those shoes the fox wore a set of fluffy black socks.

The young fox also wore a set of fine, red lensed safety goggles on his head, and over his clothes, he wore a small bandoleer of tools, as well as having a belt that held small pouches, satchels he and sheaths for different engineering tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches and stationary…

On the fox's face, a warm smile was plastered and when he spoke, his voice was filled with youthful glee and excitement,

"Thanks Sonic! I've been learning from the best! Now…Race ya to Knothole! I don't wanna miss the next part of the fun!"

The young fox then span his two tails with great speed and took off like a flash towards the black wisps of smoke over the horizon…The hedgehog laughing merrily, following suite…

Miles Robotnik flipped through the air elegantly, his usage of his two previously burdensome appendages now giving him unrivalled mobility in the air…While being unable to take powered flight…He had noticed how if he span his tails fast enough, they would provide him a significant boost to his speed that was already impressive…But now that he had been able to hone it…he could now easily and keep up with Sonic the Hedgehog's world class speed…And he proved it as he dashed and darted through the treeline. And up to the summit of one large hill…Noticing the village of Knothole down below…

Miles would never tire of the beautiful, rustic aesthetic of the quiet little village…Where the cruck houses were constructed of stone or wood and easily centuries old yet still as homey as when they had first been constructed…Each one with a roaring hearth and nice furniture…And all the other comforts of home…

His eyes darted from building to building, he could mark out each and every house even from the top of the hill…There was the residence of Cream and Vanilla…Two kindly rabbits who had taken him in as more or less a foster sibling/child when he had first arrived there nine years ago…Their home being a lovely thatched cottage with cobbled stone walls and a delightful little garden behind where they grew their own food.

Then not too far away lay the dwelling of Amy Rose, a kindly hedgehog who would constantly take every opportunity she had to baby him and treat Miles like a little child whenever she saw him, taking him out for ice cream, or for tea and cake at her own home…Hers was a relatively smaller little cottage, the front lawn of her abode decorated with white, red and pink roses…

Then, closer to the outskirts of the small village of Knothole…Lay his desired destination…A small little cottage located next to a small stone bridge that crossed over a small river…A relatively large water mill protruding from the side of the building providing hydroelectric power to the home, thanks to the combined geniuses of Miles and his adoptive father…The notorious but brilliant Dr Ivo Robotnik…The Eggman himself.

But behind the small cottage lay a very impressive sight…Atop one particularly large hill just South of Knothole village…Lay the pride and joy of both Miles…And his father, Dr Robotnik…It was called…The Blue Typhoon.

Three hundred metres in length and seventy five meters wide, it was a highly modified vessel built from the ruins of an old E.G.G-Hyperion Class scout-cruiser from the star-fleet the Doctor had previously constructed during his days as the overly ambitious and unintentionally destructive Dr Eggman…It had been painted a sky blue colour, with gold, white and black being present in other areas too, to distinguish it from what it had previously been…

The ship was one of the few salvageable vessels that had been kicking around after the destruction of the Death Egg nine years ago and ever since it's re-discovery two years prior…It had acted as the Doctor and his surrogate son's personal project together…To be able to build the perfect space-craft for interstellar exploration…Providing both an excellent quality living environment and research base…All thanks to the genius of Miles and his father…As well as plenty of donated funds and assistance from G.U.N thanks to their new Commander, Elijah Reddick, a close friend of Miles who had shown a keen interest in the idea of modifying Robotnik's technology and using it for more…Beneficial purposes.

They had both cut down on the previous weaponry that the space-craft had been constructed with, removing some of the more…overkill options such as the storage chambers and hangars that contained Badniks, Egg fighters, Sheeva type nukes and plague bombs that would have been far too destructive to use in any circumstance except the most desperate and dangerous situations…And in their place construction rooms that would be important for interstellar travel…Such as a medical bay for treating any possible injuries or alien illnesses contracted on journeys across the stars, a greenhouse for growing produce to be consumed, providing a permanent food supply for whomever was aboard and extra comforts such as a rather luxurious kitchen, games room, cinema and library…It had been built in mind for journeys that would last for months or even years…Miles and his father had made it so…

But the best thing about it that made them so proud of it was the ship's AI, Using backup files containing the AI for Orbot and Cubot, they had uploaded them into the ship's mainframe, meaning that they could manage the ship by themselves while passengers could go about their own business…Not having to go through the stress of meticulously micro-managing every teensy little process and problem that the ship had…

It was so close to completion now…Miles knew it…However all they needed now was to find a power source for the ship's warp-field driver, the device on the ship that would allow it to both take off into the atmosphere without any issues and move faster than light…It had been bothering the two geniuses immensely…For nothing seemed to be able to provide enough energy to be able to fuel the warp drive…At least…Nothing that the two would be allowed to use legally…However Miles didn't seem to care much about such trivial matters at the moment…Taking in the view of his home and sucking in a deep breath of cool morning air.

The young fox began to race down the hill towards the village, laughing out loud with glee as he felt the wind billowing in his fur, the soft whoosh of the wind and songbirds in his ears and with nothing but getting down to Knothole and having a nice cup of tea after a very pleasant morning run with his best friend and tutor…

The young fox sprang up high into the air…Aiming himself in the direction of the river side cottage…Three…Two…One…He landed onto the tiled roof with a light thud…Slowly skidding his way down the roof before launching into a front flip…And landing perfectly in front of the crimson painted front door…

He grinned to himself…Another amazing landing…

"Nice one kid!" The hero of Mobius's voice sounded out from behind…

Miles turned his head to face the hedgehog who was standing upon the small cobble pathway of the street, a happy grin on his face…Miles meekly nodded and exclaimed with glee.

"I know! It felt awesome! I love going on these runs with you!"

"I know ya do kid, heck you wake up earlier than me most days just so you can get outside earlier."

"Ah! Sonic, Miles! Good to see you both, please come in, come in! I juat put the kettle on!" A third voice said from behind the pair.

Miles and Sonic turned their tails and smiled when they saw who it was that it was speaking to them…It was an adult, middle-aged Mobian…Bald and with a fiery red moustache…He stood tall and proud, well over six foot and seven inches in height…His garb like that of Miles…

The fox beamed, his sharp teeth glinting in the morning sun as he exclaimed happily, "Thanks dad! That'd be great."

Both Miles and Sonic walked inside, following Dr Ivo Robotnik into his humble abode within the small town of Knothole…It was a very pleasant, rustic and humble little cottage inside…As they stepped into the kitchen they admired the nicely polished stone tiled floor, large oaken table and chairs and the numerous, neatly organised white cupboards, cabinets and counters…Upon one of which, a small black kettle was boiling away, five mugs containing teabags…Something that Miles found oddly curious considering there was only three of them in the kitchen, and he voiced his curiosity.

"Uhhhhh…Dad, why are there five mugs instead of three? Did somebody come over when I was out with Sonic?" the small fox asked.

"Well…Yes, actually…Now don't worry it's not anyone you don't know however…It is slightly important that they talk to you, me and Sonic about it." The Doctor stated, scratching at his bald scalp.

Miles tilted his head slightly…pondering in his head while his father made the tea for him, Sonic and their two guests…He hadn't been expecting this…It wasn't exactly like anyone he knew to just burst in from out of the blue to tell him and his father something…There had to have been a reason as to why somebody was in their abode and wishing to speak…

However…His thoughts were interrupted as the Doctor opened the door for the guests that were present in the house…Miles could recognise both of them…One was a tall, spinly man with dark eyes, pale features and short, charcoal black hair and a goatee of the same colour, he was dressed in a dark suit, the badge of G.U.N emblazoned on his right breast signalling he was a man of importance…

The other figure…Was a tall and muscular echidna the colour of ruby with shining amethyst coloured eyes…Donned in white spiked gloves and heavy duty boots of red and yellow…His body adorned with battle scars and rippling muscle…Miles grinned happily as he saw both of them…And they returned the favour in kind…The man speaking…

"Hello Miles…It's been a while…I know you are likely wondering why me and Mr Knuckles are here right now…And we will answer that in a minute…It's a rather serious matter mind you…So I expect you, your father and Mr Sonic to be mature throughout the conversation…But first…" The man turned his head to the side

"Make sure that I have little milk and two sugars Ivo…A serious conversation calls for a serious brew…"
