The Four Nations: The City of Omashu
Three individuals could be seen sitting inside one of the many courier trolley's used for the Omashu mail system. The first of the individuals was a twelve-year-old-boy named Aang from the Air nomads, he was completely bald but had an arrow tattoo on his forehead, hands, and feet, he had green eyes that shined with excitement and naiveté, he wore yellow monk robes with yellow loose-fitting pants that went to his shins, he wore a small red cloak that went to his upper back, on his feet he wore shin-length brown boots, he carried a red glider-staff on his back, and lastly, he had a pet lemur-bat on his shoulder named Momo.
Behind Aang was a fourteen-year-old girl named Katara from the Southern Water Tribe, She had dark skin, She had aqua blue eyes, she had long-black hair in a braided pony-tail that went to the small of her back, with the front of her hair having two braided loops on each side of her face, around her neck was a black choker with a silver pendent that had wave designs, she wore a form fitting black long sleeve shirt that covered her b-cup chest, she wore a pair of black form fitting pants and she wore a light blue Ao Dai dress over her shirt and pants that had white accents that split at her thighs, she had a waterskin hanging at her side, on her feet she wore grey Moccasins that had fur around the ankles, and lastly, she was currently wearing a light blue fur lined parka over everything.
The final individual was a sixteen-year-old boy who was named Sokka and he was Katara's older brother, his skin was dark as well, his hair was black too but mostly buzzed save for the top of his head and a small wolf-tail in the back, he had light blue eyes, he wore a sleeveless light blue robe that went to his waist with white accents, he wore bicep-length athletic sleeves that doubled as gloves, he wore form-fitting black pants, on his feet he wore shin-length grey boots, on his back was a boomerang that doubled as a club, he had bone knife at his side, and lastly, like his sister he wore a light blue fur-lined parka.
Aang was currently smiling like an idiot while dressed like an old man using Appa, his flying bison's hair as a disguise. Katara after seeing how high up they were began to second guess herself and said "Hey, Aang I thought this might be fun at first but now that we're up here I'm having second thouahhhhhhhhhhh!" her sentence turned into a scream as Aang ignored her and sent them speeding forward down the stone slide.
Aang was laughing like an Idiot while Katara and Sokka screamed in terror. However, unknown to them a shipment of spears was sent down the same slide they were on and began to close in on them fast.
Sokka seeing the danger and being the closest yelled "Aang! we have a problem!" All three of them then looked behind themselves and screamed.
They were about to panic until suddenly a stone wall showed up blocking the spears. Then a voice screamed at them from their right "What the hell do you three think you doing?!"
They all then looked to the right and saw an Earth-bender standing on one of the mail trollies following them. As the man pursued them, they got a good look at him, he looked to be about eighteen and stood about six feet tall, his hair was brown and cut short while spiked in the front, he had brown eyes, he wore a brown and gold armored vest with a gold fist branded on the center of the chest, under the vest he wore a simple long-sleeved black robe that went to his waist, he wore loose fitting black pants, and on his feet, he wore no shoes choosing to wrap his arches in black bandages.
The Earth-bender screamed at them again saying "These trollies are for mail and transportation of goods only! Stop now or your punishment will only get more severe!"
Aang knowing they couldn't get caught yelled "Hang on!" he then tilted their trolley until it hopped off the slide and onto the houses below causing massive property damage.
The Earth-bender jumped off the trolley he was on and made a quick stone pillar launching his body even higher after the three while shouting "Come back here!"
The Earth-bender threw his hands out turning the ground into sand while he then began to tail them on foot, Earth-bending the road to propel himself faster as to not lose sight of the three.
The trio landed on another slide before increasing their speed and breaking through the wall of the slide and started causing more property damage.
The Earth-bender seeing their trajectory hurried in that direction as an Earth Kingdom captain was lecturing some new recruits as he said "Men, you'll be going into battle soon and you'll need to be prepared for anything."
Just as he finished that sentence Aang and the rest landed right in the middle of them before bouncing up and sliding down the street. The captain and the recruits were stunned until the tailing Earth-bender showed up and barked out "Get as many available men as you can and make a perimeter! Do not let those three escape!"
The captain hastily saluted saying "Right away sir!"
The Earth-bender than continued his pursuit fixing whatever damage he could along the way as the Gaang was currently sliding down the street. However, they soon fell off a ledge and crashed through someone's house destroying the clay pot they were making.
The Earth-bender was right behind them and said a quick "Sorry for the damages! Go to the palace for compensation!"
Soon however, the Gaang's luck ran out for them as they fell from another ledge this one being much higher and the only thing saving them was a cabbage cart and softened earth that their pursuer made.
As the Gaang groaned in pain Aang's disguise fell away and then suddenly they were surround by stone spikes at their necks. They all remained still and watched as the Earth-bender who had been chasing them showed up followed by several dozen soldiers.
Once he was in front of the trio all Aang could do was smile awkwardly and say "Sorry for the mess?"
The Earth-bender just frowned and said coldly "You three are in a lot of trouble." He then turned towards the soldiers and ordered "Bind them! Then I'll escort them to the palace myself. The King will decide what their punishment will be."
The soldiers then removed the spikes and bound them with earth-cuffs while forcing them onto their feet and pushing them forward after the Earth-bender who gave the order, since he was already starting to head to the palace.

The Gaang were all on their knees with their hands bound as Sokka and Katara were in their normal clothes due to the guards taking their parkas.
In front of them was an old man who had white hair everywhere but the top of his head, he had a small white beard on his chin, his eyes were a bright green, his left eye was lazy while the other looked to be amused, he had very tan skin with what they could see since he was wearing brown and green ceremonial robes that covered his whole physique, while on his head was a crown with two ridiculously long feathers that curled into loops, like most people in the Earth Kingdom he was bare-foot, and the man had his hands placed on the arms of his throne with each of his fingers having a ring on them.
The Earth-bender who caught them stated why they were there to who the trio assumed was the King. "Your majesty. These three are guilty of massive property damage, identity fraud, and entering the city under false pretenses. What punishment would you have them endure sire?"
The King smiled at the Earth-bender before saying "Ah, Dijin, always working so hard eh? Very well let me think..." he seemed to think hard about the decision before saying ominously "Throw them..." he then suddenly smiled and clapped his hands while saying "A feast."
The Gaang just kneeled there shocked while Dijin just sighed used to his king's behavior by this point and said "Follow me then. I shall escort you to the dining room." He then bent away their earth-cuffs while walking towards a set of double doors on the right side of throne room the Gaang having no choice but to follow him.
After Dijin led them through another set of double doors they were greeted by a buffet of delicious food ranging from crab-shrimp to a roasted panda-boar and even simple chicken.
Soon all three were sitting down and eating with Sokka stuffing his face with as much meat as possible. Dijin just stood to the side watching them before the King entered and walked over to them while grabbing a piece of chicken and then saying with a chuckle "The people in my city have gotten fat from too many feasts. So, I hope you like your chicken without skin."
The King then tried to offer the chicken to Aang but Aang pushed the offered chicken away saying "Thank you, but I don't eat meat."
The King then looked at Sokka stuffing his face and said "How about you? I bet you like meat." He then shoved the chicken in Sokka's already full mouth.
The King then went to sit at the head of the table and as he walked away Katara quietly said to Aang "Is it just me, or is this guy's crown a little crooked?" she then made the he's crazy motion with her right hand.
As the King sat down Dijin moved to stand at his right side while the King asked Aang "So, tell me young bald one, where are you from?"
Aang looked to the side for second before saying "I'm from Kangaroo Island."
The King leaned on his right arm while saying "Kangaroo Island eh? I hear that place is really hopping."
The only person who bothered to laugh at the King's horrible joke was Sokka and everyone looked at him as if he was as crazy as the King with one guard even coughing awkwardly.
Sokka noticing he was the only one laughing looked at his sister and said "What? It was pretty funny."
Katara just shook her head at her brother who realized wasn't getting any support so he just turned away grumbling.
The King then yawned and said "Well, all these good jokes are making me tired." he then leaned to the right and looked up at Dijin giving him a wink as he said "Guess it's time to hit the hay."
The King then nodded his head towards Aang signaling Dijin who then quickly threw two rocks the size of tennis balls at Aang who in his surprise caught them with Air-bending.
The King then stood up and said ominously "There's an Air-bender in our presence, and not just any Air-bender... The Avatar."
Aang quickly stopped Air-bending now that his cover was blown as the King then said "Now, what do you have to say for yourself, Mr. Pippenpadlopsicopolis?" The King referring to Aang's ridiculous fake name.
Aang just stood up his hands in the air as he said "Ok, you caught me." he then lowered his arms and held his hands out at the waist saying "I'm the Avatar... Doing my Avatar thing, keeping the world safe. Everything checks out." he then looked under the tablecloth saying "No Fire-benders here. So, good work everybody, Love one another, Respect all life, and don't run with spears."
As Aang was talking he had grabbed Katara and Sokka and began to slowly walk to the exit before two guards blocked it with their weapons.
Katara glared at the soldiers then the King saying "You can't keep us here! Let us leave!"
Dijin chose then to step forward saying "We can't keep you here? That's where you're wrong miss. You entered our city under false names and pretenses, you have caused insurmountable amounts of damage to the city, and now we know one of you is the most wanted person on the planet. So yes, I believe we can keep you here, indefinitely if we so choose."
The Gaang all looked shocked and scared, now realizing the situation they were in. The King then clapped and said "Now, now let's not scare our guests Dijin we must be good hosts after all." The King then had a serious gaze as he looked at the Gaang and said "Tomorrow, The Avatar will face three deadly challenges, but for now..." He then paused for dramatic effect before saying "Take them to the dungeon!"
Dijin leaned down to the King and whispered "Uh. Sire. Which dungeon are you speaking of? The bad one or the good one?"
The King smiled at Dijin and said "The one that used to be the bad one."
Dijin still confused asked "Do you mean the refurbished one or the recently made good one?"
The King sighed as he said "The refurbished one that used to be the bad one." He then growled in frustration saying "Urrrrrrg, we really need to label them Dijin." The King then shouted "Take them to the refurbished dungeon that was once bad." As Dijin led the Gaang away
After Dijin took the Gaang to their "cell" he went back to the King and found him munching on some lettuce as he approached. Once he was at the King's side he said "Permission to speak freely sire?"
The King just sighed and spit out the lettuce leaf he was chewing on and said "Come now Dijin, you know you don't have to be so formal when it's just us."
Dijin just bowed his head saying "You are my teacher and my King; I must show you the proper respect."
The King just grumbled about formal brats before saying "Well, speak freely then. What do you want to say?"
Dijin then looked at the King and asked "Sire. If you know the boy is the Avatar and your friend why put him through these challenges? Should he not be training to face the Fire Lord?"
The King just laughed and snorted in his usual way before saying "Yes, that may be true but there are two things I need to test my old friend on. The first being, to see if he can still think like a mad genius like me." he then laughed again before he looked at Dijin with a serious gaze and said "And I also must make sure that he is prepared to face the world as it is now, because even though I hate to admit it, Aang's absence has truly affected the world in a very negative way."
Dijin nodded his head before saying "For the world's sake I hope he is ready, sire."

Aang was sleeping soundly in the refurbished cell until he heard the sound of the rock wall moving. Through groggy eyes Aang looked up and said "Sokka? Katara?" he quickly opened his eyes after getting no response and saw that they were both gone. He quickly Air-bended himself up and turned around seeing Dijin in the doorway. Aang with a snarl on his face used Air-bending to quickly get in Dijin's face yelling "Where are my friends!"
Dijin just frowned as he twisted his right foot bending the Earth under Aang's feet and making him back up then stay put. He then said "Your friends will be released when you complete the King's challenges." Dijin then turned around and unbent the Earth around Aang's feet allowing him to follow.
Aang went to grab his staff until Dijin spoke up again while holding out his hand saying "You will also hand over your staff the King says it would be an unfair advantage."
Aang just glared at him before kicking his staff up with his foot and catching it, he then gave it a twirl before tossing it to Dijin who caught it in his right hand and twirled it with a flourish as he held it behind himself. He then motioned with his left hand saying "This way if you please." he then walked down the hallway Aang following after him.
The two ended up back in the throne room with the King wearing blue ceremonial robes instead of the green and brown ones. The King stepped forward saying "First, Avatar, what do you think of my new outfit? I want your honest opinion." he then held his arms out as he did a twirl while Aang had an awkward gaze watching him.
Aang still weirded out by the King's behavior said "Uh... it's fine I guess."
The King clapped his hands and said "Excellent. You've passed the first test."
Aang surprised it was that easy asked "Really?"
the King then looked away awkwardly saying "Well... No that was just a regular challenge, you must still do the deadly challenges."
Aang angry at the Kings attitude tried to use Air-bending to run and get close to the King, but as soon as Dijin saw him move he stomped his left foot, bending the Earth around Aang's ankles to stop him from moving.
Aang frustrated yelled at them both saying "I don't have time for your crazy games. Give me my friends back. We're leaving!"
The King had a knowing smile as he said "Oh, I thought you might refuse."
The right wall next to the three lowered revealing Katara and Sokka being held hostage by some guards. The King then spoke again saying "So, I will give your friends some special souvenirs."
Dijin then released Aang and approached the guards with a wooden case. Dijin then opened the wooden case with the guards grabbing two crystal rings out, one being blue and the other green.
As the guards placed the rings on Sokka and Katara's fingers the King explained what they were. "Those delightful rings are made of pure Genomite... Also known as creeping crystal, it's a crystal that grows remarkably fast. By nightfall your friends will be completely covered in it. Terrible fate, really." He then looked at Aang seriously and said "Dijin and I can stop it but only if you cooperate."
Sokka and Katara tried to take the rings off but no matter hard they pulled they just wouldn't come off. Soon just as the King said the rings started to grow covering their whole index finger.
Sokka scared yelped out "Ahhhh! It's already creeping!"
Aang realizing the situation was out of his hands said "I'll do what you want."
The King smirked while saying "Hmm! Very good! Now follow me and Dijin, we have much to do today!" Aang just sighed before following after the two with Katara and Sokka following him along with their guards.

The group was now standing on a balcony overlooking a large cavern. The cave had stone spikes all over the floor while in the middle of the cave was a giant waterfall with a stone ladder in the middle of the cascading water. The strangest thing of all though, was that hanging on a chain in the middle of the waterfall was a gold key.
Aang Air-bent himself down to a stone platform below as the King said "It seems I've lost my lunchbox key, and I'm hungry. Would you mind fetching it for me?"
The King then pointed at the key in the waterfall as Aang began hopping from one stone spike to the next. Once he was close enough Aang Air-bent himself through the water and grabbed the ladder then began to try and climb up.
The King seeing this commented sarcastically "Ooh! Climbing the ladder. No one's thought of that before."
Then just as the King was saying the current was too strong and Aang was blasted back while almost being impaled by a spike through his crotch. The only thing that saved him was his Air-bending training which allowed him to do the splits on two other spikes. Aang then hopped between the spikes again before Air-bending himself up to the ceiling and holding himself steady between two more spikes. Aang thinking of another way to get the key dived headfirst after it using Air-bending to increase his speed and make a small shield around himself. Sadly, it failed instantly the water slowing him down and launching him into the side of a spike face first. As he groaned in pain, he quickly grabbed the spike he was on to stop himself from falling backwards before taking a deep breath and looking up at the key.
The King just stared at Aang as he struggled while mockingly saying "That's right. Keep diving head in. I'm sure it will work eventually."
Aang with another Idea after looking at the key as it hung on its chain used Air-bending to cut the top half of the spike he was holding onto before standing on the cut half and throwing the spike with the help of an Air-bending push straight at the key.
The spike hit the chain and broke it taking the key along with it as the spike embedded itself into the wall above the balcony with the key hanging in front the King's face.
Aang from his position yelled "There! enjoy your lunch! I want my friends back now!"
The King just looked at the key awkwardly before smiling. He then waggled his finger and said "Uh uh uh, not yet. I need help with another matter."
The King then clasped his hands together and made a sad face as he said "It seems I've lost my pet Flopsy. Follow me and I'll take you to the last place I saw him."
Aang just sighed again before Air-bending himself back up on the balcony and following the King to his next challenge.

Aang was soon brought to a giant pit that had rocks and even trees inside of it but at the center on a stone slab was a little Guinea pig-rabbit.
Aang instantly jumped down next to the small rabbit and said "Ok. Found him."
The King then shouted impatiently "Bring him to me. Daddy wants a kiss from Flopsy."
Aang then slowly approached the small rabbit while saying "Come here, Flopsy." and he was about to grab it when a huge thud was heard behind him.
Aang not liking the sound slowly turned his head around and was greeted by a 12-foot-tall goat-gorilla. It had two huge fangs coming from its bottom lip, it had two large horns on its forehead, and it had white fur was all over its body with two huge arms and fists while he had normal goat hooves for feet.
The beast roared in Aang's face as he screamed in terror and started running away the rabbit having taken off as well. The goat-gorilla began to chase the Air-bender as Aang chased the rabbit. Aang was then having to dodge and weave the goat-gorilla's attempts to grab him while he tried to catch the small rabbit.
The rabbit then quickly made a beeline for a hole in a particular boulder while Aang dived after the animal. The rabbit went into the hole with Aang's right arm following suit while the goat-gorilla closed in on Aang. Suddenly a light bulb went off in Aang's head as he took his arm out of the hole and turned towards the charging animal and said questioningly "Flopsy?"
The giant goat-gorilla instantly stopped and sat down, its little nub for a tail wagging as it looked at Aang like a happy dog. Then the animal picked up Aang in its arms before licking his face while Aang shouted "Flopsy!" he then hugged the animal as the creature purred slightly.
The King then whistled as Flopsy quickly put Aang down and climbed out of the pit. The animal then laid on its back by the King as he gave Flopsy a belly rub and said cutely "Oh. That's a good boy. Yes! Who has a soft belly? You do! Yes, you do!" the animal just kicked his right leg enjoying the treatment.
Aang then Air-bent himself back up to the others landing on the railing next to Katara whose Genomite had grown to her shoulders and ankles with Sokka in the same condition.
Aang seeing her and Sokka's states asked "Guys. Are you ok?"
Katara trying to make light of the situation said jokingly "Other than the crystal slowly encasing my entire body, I'm doing pretty good."
Sokka's Genomite chose then to grow lopsided making him fall over and scream "This is bullshit! Aang hurry up and beat this old man's next challenge so we can leave!"
Katara and Aang ignored Sokka's outburst as Aang approached the King and said "Come on. I'm ready for the next challenge."
The King looked at Aang before chuckling and thinking to himself "I've been looking forward to this challenge all day." he then stopped chuckling and said "Very well, follow me Avatar."

The group was now standing on two balconies' overlooking a fighting arena meant for Earth-benders. The arena itself being made entirely of earth with boulders littering the ground.
Katara, Sokka, and the King were standing on a small balcony next to the one Aang was standing on with Dijin and two unknown fighters joining him.
The King then spoke up saying "Your final test shall be a duel. And, as a special treat, you can pick one of the opponent's standing before you."
Aang looked at his opponents and saw the one on the left side had a curved spear while having knives all over his person, he wore thick leather armor that covered his whole body, and he had a two slash marks on his face. He then saw that the one on the right was bald with a face mask and he was bulging with muscles having little armor but carrying a huge axe.
Aang looked at them then looked at Dijin and thought "I've dealt with Earth-bender's in the past so he shouldn't be too hard to fight." Aang then glared slightly as he thought "Plus, this guy kidnapped my friends and is holding them hostage. I can't forgive that!"
Aang then made the dumbest mistake he could have made and pointed at Dijin saying "I pick you."
Dijin just stared at the Avatar blankly before saying calmly "Wrong choice, Avatar." Dijin then slammed and twisted his right foot launching Aang off the balcony with an Earth-pillar. Aang caught himself with Air-bending and landed in the arena as Dijin then began to remove his armor and shirt.
The King then spoke up saying ominously "You see, Avatar, you have made two mistakes in choosing Dijin as your opponent. The first being, thinking Dijin was just a normal Earth Kingdom soldier when in actuality, Dijin is my personal apprentice and my right hand in charge of leading my armies when the need arises."
Sokka and Katara were completely stunned with Sokka shouting out "Wait! That guy is your commander and chief! He only looks a couple years older than me!"
The King looked at Sokka annoyed while saying in an obvious tone "Oh? What does age matter if he qualifies for the position?"
Sokka just stared at the King bewildered while Katara watched the upcoming fight in worry.
Over with Dijin he finished removing his shirt showing a very well-toned physique with him having defined pectoral muscles and six pack abs. He then ran forward jumping off the balcony while throwing his forearms up, bending two boulders in front of him then kicking them in rapid succession at the Avatar.
The King then shouted "Here! You might need this!" a guard then threw Aang his staff who caught it and used it to create a gust of wind that blew the boulders off course.
Dijin didn't let him recover though as he slammed his foot into the ground and made a wide arc with his leg creating a ring of boulders.
Aang seeing where this was heading said "Can I fight the guy with the axe instead?"
Dijin ignored the Avatar and then punched the boulders in front of him throwing them at Aang at a fast pace. Aang did his best to dodge but soon two random boulders hit him in the head and chest making fall and tumble across the floor. Aang kept tumbling until he came to a stop on his stomach his staff resting a few feet away from him as he groaned in pain.
Dijin seeing Aang in a prone state chose then to end it quickly as he held his arms and hands out at the waist. The King seeing what Dijin was about to do shouted "Oh! I forgot to tell you the second mistake you made Avatar... You see, Dijin is no common Earth-bender, in fact, he is the only bender of his kind!"
Aang not liking where this was going thought to himself "Only bender of his kind? What does that mean?"
The King then continued speaking saying "Dijin has a gift that makes him one of the most powerful Earth-bender's in all of the Four Nations! He is capable of bending the earth in its most ancient form."
Dijin himself chose then to speak saying "Avatar." Aang looked up from his prone position and listened as Dijin continued speaking "I was told to not hold anything back. So please, don't die." He then clenched his fists and raised his arms and what followed next awed and terrified all those present, because instead of Earth Dijin had bent molten lava forming two giant walls of molten rock as they closed in on Aang.
The King seeing this finished his earlier statement saying "Dijin is... A LAVA-BENDER!"
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" Aang screamed in terror as he dove for his glider and quickly unfolded it taking to the air just barely escaping being burned by the molten rock.
Dijin seeing this slammed his arms together before opening them along with his hands then at the same time the two walls became a giant wave of lava. Dijin then moved his arms to guide the wave of magma to chase the Avatar who looked at the wave in terror as he tried to fly faster. Aang dove and dived doing anything to avoid the lava as Dijin just continued to harden and liquefy the magma as it chased Aang.
As Dijin was manipulating the lava he mocked Aang saying "Dodge and evade an Air-bender's usual choice of tactics. Tell me Avatar, how do you plan to save the world if all you can do is run away!" Dijin then opened and clenched his left fist, turning a section of the arena into magma and sending it after the Avatar which he barely avoided his clothing being singed somewhat.
Aang after a few more minutes of being chased finally had enough and shot forward using Air-bending while getting enough distance to turn his glider into a fan and shout "Enough!" he then created a powerful gust of wind instantly hardening the molten rock.
Aang landed on the ground with a sigh thinking the worst was over before Dijin punched through the hardened lava rock from the air creating a storm of shrapnel.
Aang quickly slammed his fists together and made an air-shield to block the debris as Dijin then landed and threw his forearms up with the back of his hands facing outwards, at the same time two rock-walls were formed trying to crush Aang between them. However, the power of Aang's shield on top of the force of the hit caused Aang to drop the shield and be launched back to the very end of the arena.
Dijin seeing another opening held both his arms out at his sides then curled his fingers inwards. At the same time two large sections of the arena walls came apart from the foundation. Dijin then slammed his hands together forming a large fist as the two sections of the wall formed together creating a massive boulder the size of half the arena. Dijin then slammed his combined fist into the ground the Giant boulder following suit while he said "Dodge this Avatar!"
Aang screamed in terror again as he quickly started running in a circle faster and faster until a large tornado was made.
The boulder hit the tornado and was launched back at Dijin Who's eyes widened realizing the King and the others were behind him. Dijin then placed his arms up to block and instantly turned the boulder into sand as it hit him.
However, once the dust settled Dijin suddenly felt wind go past his face and he glanced down seeing Aang glaring up at him with his staff posed to strike him in the face. Dijin seeing this just smirked and said "Well fought Avatar, but look behind you."
Aang with a raised eyebrow turned his head around and his eyes widened in fear because a couple feet from his neck was a lava buzzsaw.
Dijin then said "If you were an enemy, I would have killed you without a second thought regardless if you spared me or not. Remember that on your journey to come Avatar." Dijin then dispersed the lava and crossed his arms before falling backwards into the earth, the rocks and sand swallowing him up as he then reappeared back on the upper balcony.
As Dijin put his clothes back on the King and the others showed up on the same balcony while Aang Air-bent himself upwards and landed in front of the King.
The King smiled and said "You've passed all my tests. Now, you must answer one question."
Aang angry at this turn of events said "That's not fair. You said you would release my friends if I finish your tests."
The King then smirked and said "Oh, but what's the point of tests if not for the bonus question? Answer this one thing and I will have your friends set free." The King then paused for effect and said "What is my name?" he then winked at the Avatar before walking away a fully dressed Dijin following after him.
As the Gaang discussed their answer the King smirked and spoke up once Dijin was next to him saying "Well done Dijin. I believe the Avatar is ready for what's to come but he still has much to learn."
Dijin nodded his head before saying "Indeed sire, he is still naive to certain parts of the world and must learn that it is not as black and white as it seems." the King just had a knowing smirk as his plans were starting to come to fruition.

The Gaang was brought back to the throne room with Aang standing in front of the King who was now wearing his usual green and brown robes while Dijin stood next to Sokka and Katara. The two Southern Water Tribe members were almost completely covered in Genomite the only thing visible being their faces which were disappearing fast.
Aang then spoke to the King saying "I solved the question the same way I solved the challenges. As you said 100 years ago, I had to open my brain to the possibilities."
The King smiled fondly at Aang already expecting what he would say before laughing and snorting in his usual manner.
Aang just smiled his eyes brimming with unshed tears as he said "Bumi, you're a mad genius." Aang then ran forward and hugged the now identified King Bumi his friend from over 100 years ago.
Bumi just returned the hug saying "Awww Aang, it's good to see you again after so long and you haven't changed a bit...literally."
Sokka and Katara then stepped forward with their faces almost gone as Katara spoke in distress saying "Uh, sorry to break up the reunion but a little help over here?"
King Bumi nodded his head at Dijin who then punched his right arm forward before making a pulling motion, at the same time the Genomite was bent off the two shattering it into pieces. As the pieces flew Bumi caught one and said "Genomite is actually rock candy." Bumi then bit a piece off saying "Delicious!"
Katara now free of the Genomite said "So, this crazy King is your old friend Bumi?"
Bumi insulted said "Who you calling old?" he then pouted and said "Fine. I'm old."
Sokka curious as to why they were put through this asked "Why did you do all this instead of telling Aang who you were?"
Bumi smiled and said "First of all, when you've been around as long as I have, it's pretty fun to mess with people. But I do have a reason." Bumi then looked at Aang seriously and said "Aang, you have a difficult task ahead of you. The world has changed in the 100 years you've been gone. It's the duty of the Avatar to restore balance to the world by defeating Fire Lord Ozai. You have much to learn. You must master the four elements and confront the Fire Lord." Bumi then gave Aang a Mad grin before saying "And when you do, I hope you will think like a mad genius." Bumi finished his pep talk while still having a crazy smile as Aang clasped his fist in his right hand and bowed his head respectively. Bumi spoke up again saying "And it seems like you are in good hands as well. You'll need your friends to help you defeat the Fire Nation. In fact, you'll need Dijin, too."
Everyone was shocked at this but none more so than Dijin as he stepped forward saying "But sire! What are you saying? I have duties to attend to, I have men to lead into battle, and plus who will protect you while I'm gone!"
But before Dijin could protest further Bumi held his hand up and said "Dijin. You and I both know I have never once needed protection." Bumi then lowered his hand and smiled fondly at Dijin saying "I have known and trained you since you were but a lad always looking for a way to prove yourself to me. The moment I saw your gift, I knew you were meant to help the Avatar one day so I took you under my wing. Now is the time to claim your destiny and forge your own path." Bumi then placed his hands on Dijin's shoulders and said "You belong out there fighting with the Avatar not here with a crazy old man and his wants."
Dijin looked at his king, his teacher, his father in all but blood shocked but he then stepped back and bowed his head in understanding as he said "If that is what you wish then I will do as you ask." Dijin then looked at the Gaang and said "Please give me a few moments to gather my things and some provisions."
Sokka just said with an uneasy stare "Sure, take your time."
Dijin then walked away to pack his things and once he was gone Katara had question that had been bugging her so she said "Um, King Bumi sir. I have a question."
Bumi just replied with "Oh? Well, I might have answer... or maybe I won't, we can't find out till you ask."
Katara still thrown off by his behavior asked "Is Dijin going to be Aang's Earth-bending teacher?"
Bumi then let out a huge laugh and then started to laugh uncontrollably to the point he was on his hands and knees laughing. But once he calmed down, he wiped his eyes saying "Oh, Spirit's No!"
This made the trio stumble in shock with Katara asking awkwardly "What do you mean, no?"
King Bumi then said "The last time I had Dijin train some new recruits all of them almost immediately quit afterwards."
Sokka stunned asked "Why? Did he beat them so badly they couldn't fight anymore?" Bumi waved his hand dismissively saying "Of course not! Nothing of the sort! He just put them on the most ridiculous work-out regimen imaginable."
The three had sweat drops at that, hardly believing a workout could be that bad. Bumi then laughed while saying "I remember walking in on one of the exercises, he had each of the recruits bend boulders onto their backs, arms, and legs then made them climb a steep mountain bare-handed." Bumi then laughed remembering the looks of the recruits faces.
The Gaang however took back their original thought about Dijin's workout, anybody would quit after that. Bumi then calmed down saying "I learned a long time ago that Dijin's skills are more suited for battle then they are teaching. He is a strong fighter, a trustworthy ally, and he is wise beyond his years too, be sure to listen to any advice he may give you on your journey."
As Bumi finished talking Dijin showed up saying "I'm ready." The Gaang looked to their left and saw Dijin only he was in a new outfit. He wore a black sleeveless form fitting shirt with gold buttons, while over the shirt he wore a robe that went a little past his waist but split at his hips, the robe had its left sleeve purposely missing while the right sleeve was long and had a large cuff, the robe was colored black and white with the left side being white while the right was black, and on the back of the robe was a large yin-yang symbol, he wore black armored wrist guards that went to his forearm, he wore black loose-fitting pants, he had a yellow sash tied around his waist, instead of going barefoot he chose to wear black slipper shoes, and lastly, he had a traveling bag slung over his shoulder.
Sokka trying to break the ice said "Looking good man. You're rocking that robe huh. Am I right?" Sokka then looked at everybody expecting a laugh. However, No one bothered to not even King Bumi.
Dijin just walked forward and said "Let's go everyone, if I remember correctly the Avatar needs to master water first."
Aang just walked next to Dijin excitedly saying "Yeah. We are actually heading to the North Pole for me and Katara to learn."
As they walked away Bumi just smiled as their voices faded and thought "Follow your path Dijin. I know you will do great things."
The Gaang then left The City of Omashu with a new member along for the journey.
