Our Time

Chapter 6

I'm tired of feeling bad. i'd rather feel nothing its better. Its easier.

"You go to the car and wait for me. The doors are unlocked." Brooke instructed.

Blaine frowned and made his way towards the parked car.

"What work are so focused on?" Brooke asked.

"I don't want him here right now. I wasn't going to tell him that." Lucas replied.

"I understand that you're reeling from this breakup and i sympathize. But i need you to get a grip."

"Blaine wanted to come over because he notices that you are sad."

"He's smart. And observant. He loves you and wants to spend time together." Brooke said.

"This is less about her and more about the fact that instead of paying attention to what doesn't work i cling harder. Because i would rather be with someone then be alone."

"I really screwed up. I destroyed us. I pushed you away." Lucas admitted.

Brooke looked to him. "You were drunk and rambling."

"I didn't think you remembered anything." She said.

"I remember everything. We aren't right together."

"You were right and you should go." Lucas replied.

Brooke swallowed hard. Turning from him as she left the home.

Lucas felt his heart start to harden as walls went back up. And he felt relief. He felt deeply and it only ended in pain. So he was done with that.

Brooke drove herself and Blaine back home.

Sam was out according to the note she had left.

Brooke got Blaine into the home and settled before returning.

"Why is my pregnancy any of you're business?" Peyton asked. As she stood on Brooke's porch.

Brooke looked to Peyton. "You and Lucas were living together. Engaged. Only recently broke up."

"Yes you're living with Julian now but let's be honest Peyton. We're adults. We're women."

"You know how it can be and how it is. If we want to be reckless we can be. A man especially one in love won't question it."

"You're carrying Lucas's baby aren't you?" Brooke questioned.

"Why do you care?" Peyton questioned.
