Our Time

Chapter 7

"If Lucas is the father he has a right to know."

"That's what i care about. If there is nothing more. You can go." Brooke replied.

Peyton left without saying a word.

Brooke went back inside and decided to have a movie night of her own with Blaine. Which turned out to be exactly what she needed.

...

A few weeks later

Lucas appeared at Clothes over bros. He headed straight for the register. Where Brooke was. Glad there wasn't any customers at the moment.

"Is there something i can help you with?" Brooke asked.

"I came by because i wanted to apologize to you. How i acted. Wasn't fair and i was giving into the darkness. Which never leads me anywhere good."

"I'm finished with the drinking. And i'm better regarding the break up. I want to see Blaine. I miss him so much."

"And i miss you too." Lucas confessed.

Brooke stared up at him. "That night when i brought you home. Did you know it was me?" She asked.

"I knew it. I'm an emotional drunk."

"I remember what i said. Its hard being so raw and honest sober." Lucas explained.

"So when you said you still loved me. You were serious?" Brooke questioned.

"I was. Back then i blew our relationship apart. I was falling apart."

"Keith leaving town and my mom going after him and never coming back while i was still in high school and very much needed them both. Broke something in me." Lucas admitted.

"And i didn't want you're love. Comfort. Or support."

"That's on me then and i'm still trying to deal with all that now." Lucas explained.

"Are you wanting an answer to whether or not i have feelings for you?"

"Because i do. I said i would love you always and i will."

"But if and when we ever get back together."

"It has to be the right time and under the proper circumstances." Brooke explained.

"I broke you're heart once. I don't want to do it again."

"So we keep going how we are. Close friends and co parents." Lucas said.
