Buildings set ablaze.

Buildings set ablaze potentially by a wicked-hearted mortal, or even a group of sinister mortals.

Those were all concepts that Gundam Tanaka, the Supreme Overlord of Ice, did not associate with in the slightest.

Gundam ran after the Mouthy Musician all the way back to the front gates of Hope's Peak Academy. He didn't know what was more of a miracle: The fact that neither of them were depleted of oxygen for that entire duration of time, or the fact that none of the items in the Musician's clutches were accidentally discarded during the journey back.

The Musician set one of the bags to the ground and clutched one of the metal bars on the front gate, wheezing in an attempt to catch her breath. "I…Ibuki can…smell smoke."

Resting his hands over his knees, Gundam inhaled the air around him, only to end up choking in response. If the Musician could smell smoke, then Gundam could taste it.

Although they couldn't see the aforementioned burnt building from their current whereabouts, the grim reality of what they were told was anything but fiction. Despite having a corroded soul due to dark magic, Gundam couldn't help but feel unnerved by this development.

What happened? Was there really a party responsible? And if so…what even was their motive?

"Ah. So you guys are here too, huh?"

Both Gundam and the Mouthy Musician realised that they weren't alone. The two turned around and saw someone that neither of them expected to see.

"The…Lucky One?!" Gundam exclaimed in shock.

"NAGITO?!" the Musician cried out, her voice somewhat strained due to the wheezing. "What the heck are you doing here?! Ibuki thought you were suspended!"

The Lucky One gave the Musician an odd glare. "Of course I'm still suspended. What, didn't you notice that I haven't been in class for the past few days? I guess I really am that forgettable."

As he stood there and Gundam was able to get a better look at his suspended classmate, the Lucky One seemed…peculiar. Granted he was always an unusual individual, especially when recalling the recent testimony from the Youthful Yakuza, but…something was amiss. The Lucky One was obviously no longer in his typical attire, instead clothed in a simple white shirt with a red symbol displayed on the front and plain black jeans, although that wasn't strange in and of itself.

What was surreal however was the Lucky One's demeanour.

Typically, the Lucky One presented himself in a breezy manner, seemingly quite approachable to the uninitiated. It was only those that were exposed to his behaviour for prolonged periods of time who were subject to his inner nature. But in that current moment…

"I was simply passing by when I noticed the smell of smoke nearby." the Lucky One began. "I went to get a closer look when I realised that the Reserve Course building was on fire. Let's be glad that it wasn't the Main Course that got attacked, am I right?"

"Wait, how did you know it was the Reserve Course building that got set on fire?" the Musician questioned. "Did…someone tell you about it?"

The Lucky One rolled his eyes condescendingly. "Well, obviously. It's not like you can see that building from the outside. Isn't that just common sense?"

The more the Lucky One spoke, the more awry he seemed. He wasn't so…hostile in the past.

"Whom?" Gundam asked. "Can you share with us the identity of this third party?"

"Does it really matter?" the Lucky One deflected before he deliberately coughed into his hand. "Look, it's not safe for you guys to be here while there's still smoke in the air. I'm going to head home now, and I suggest you two do the same thing. After all, it would be nothing short of despairful if Ultimates became unwell, right?"

"But what about the Reserve Course students?" the Musician protested. "What if they need our help?"

The Lucky One scoffed and narrowed his eyes. "What about them? What does it matter to you anyways? What, are you dating one of them as well?"

The Musician shook her head, a blush appearing on her face. "N-No. I mean, Ibuki has seen some of them before, and a couple of them are cute, but-"

"Oh, is that what you think?" The Lucky One laughed bitterly. "Jeez…you guys have really lost your way. So much for being symbols of hope…"

"I cannot comprehend it, Lucky One. Where does this utter hostility toward the Reserve Course stem from?" Gundam questioned.

The Lucky One furrowed his eyebrows. "How can none of you get it? The Reserve Course is a complete disgrace to the integrity of this academy! Do you really think that throwing around enough money makes a person talented? Makes them worthy? No. Of course it doesn't. Even if a small dog stacks itself on top of a mountain of gold, it will still be a small dog. Even if it thinks otherwise."

When the Lucky One went on his monologue, a disturbing theory popped into Gundam's mind:

If the burning of the Reserve Course building really was committed by an assailant…the culprit could be the Lucky One.

The revelation unnerved the Supreme Overlord of Ice, but he couldn't deny that his classmate completely despised the Reserve Course, which would serve as a solid motive. Despite that though, Gundam knew well that wasn't enough to form a grounded accusation. He needed some sort of confession.

The Musician took a couple of steps back from the Lucky One. She didn't state anything verbally, but her discomfort with the man was clear as crystal.

"...Lucky One."

The Lucky One shifted his attention solely to Gundam with a blank expression.

"Would I be amiss to propose the idea of you having something to do with this current predicament?"

"Are you talking about the fire?" the Lucky One asked, an intrigued look in his eyes newly formed.

The Forbidden One simply nodded in conformation.

The Musician gasped at the accusation. "Gundam, are you serious?! Nagito's a bit nuts…actually, maybe very nuts, but still! There's no way he would have caused the fire…right?"

"Use your inner cognition, Musician." Gundam advised. "Can your mind materialise any other mortals that possess such a firm hatred for the Reserve Course?"

"I can assure you that there are other people that would be pleased with what happened to that place today." the Lucky One countered in a confident tone.

Gundam crossed his arms. "And what kind of mortals would that entail? Are you referring to the ones that would be drawn to that 'blog' of yours?"

The Lucky One's lips contorted into a smile. It felt similar to the more affable one he normally displayed, but it was also…vaguely distorted. "I see. You are familiar with that blog I made not too long ago on Tumblr, is that right?"

"Blog? Ibuki has never heard of Nagito having a blog before…" the Musician pondered to herself.

"The Youthful Yakuza made me acquainted with its existence very recently." Gundam replied.

"So in that case, I assume you've already read through all of my 'vent' posts, right?" the Lucky One asked.

Gundam was about to correct the Lucky One's wrong interpretation of events, but he held himself back. The Forbidden One came up with a plan. If the Lucky One really was the arsonist, he might have alluded to his intentions on the world wide web. So instead, he decided to put on a mischievous smirk and nodded once more.

The smoke continued to breeze through the air, engulfing the senses of the trio that stood by the gates of Hope's Peak.

"I am aware of your desires and so called 'hopeful opinions', mortal." Gundam explained, his mind recalling as much information as he could about the Lucky One's 'blog' that he heard from his classmates. "Your wish to bring an oxygen tank with you into the Instructor's domain, your belief that other mortals bound to this academy are so-called 'phonies'. I know all."

The Musician looked between both Gundam and the Lucky One, completely lost as to the current event that was transpiring in front of her.

"And…you know why I am suspended?" the Lucky One wondered as he took a step forward.

Gundam didn't flinch at the Lucky One's movement. "Your confrontation against a group of our fellow classmates and Reserve Course students. Especially with the one called 'Hajime'."

The Lucky One didn't verbally respond immediately. Instead, his already off-putting smile grew wider and became more uncanny. "Ah." he sighed. "I see what this is about now. You must be talking about my final post. The one where I said I would need to take matters into my own hands. And you've deduced that me being here right now has to do with the Reserve Course building being set on fire. Is that correct?"

The Musician's eyes widened. "N-Nagito…did you really…"

Gundam simply stared at the Lucky One coldly, letting his own tense body language speak for itself.

"Heh…heh-heh…" The Lucky One took another step closer as he slowly embraced himself. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

That was it. Gundam's suspensions were confirmed, by the Lucky One's very own mouth no less. A mortal like him…really was capable of such a foul feat.

"Ah…it seems like there is still potential for you guys after all, considering you were able to figure out I was the one responsible for this whole incident. What a relief!"

Both Gundam and the Musician felt wholly bewildered by the Lucky One's progressively demented attitude. His smile grew wider, and even his very eyes became crazed.

"Do you know…how hope is created?" the Lucky One started to ramble, gradually getting closer to his classmates. "Most people would tell you it is spawned from the hard work and raw talent of society's most gifted people, and the ways that they use the powers they gained from birth to make the world a better place. This is correct…but it's not the full story. Creating hope is important…but nurturing it and making it grow is even more of a priority."

The pair watched in bemusement as the Lucky One approached the front gate and grasped the solid bars firmly as his gaze was fixed at the academy building contained within.

"When I first learnt about the Reserve Course department being implemented…I didn't know what to think. It just didn't make any sense to me but…who was I to question the Hope's Peak Academy, right? I mean, my Ultimate title isn't too different from the Reserve Course in a sense, we're both talentless scum compared to the real Ultimates like you guys. Or…so I thought. Seeing those I admired so much be so accepting of others who simply bought the privilege to stand alongside you felt like a kick in the-"

As the Lucky One continued on and on with his speech, not sure if he was even addressing those around him or he had just been merely conversing with himself, the Musician had backed away to the point that she stood next to the Supreme Overlord of Ice. "Gundam…" she whispered. "What the heck is going on? Ibuki is so confused…"

"I…cannot provide a pristine explanation." Gundam whispered back. "Even I am unable to comprehend the surrealness of our predicament. However, there is one certainty that is paramount: The Lucky One is treacherous and needs to be detained as soon as possible."

The Musician coughed into her open palm. "Y…You're right. Ibuki thinks that Nagito is dangerous too. We…need to stop him, before he does any more bad things."

Although Gundam couldn't conjure an idea as to what the two of them could do in order to seize him, he knew the Musician was right. In his current state, the Lucky One was unpredictable.

The Lucky One then turned his head around to look at Gundam and Musician, still holding onto the front gate. "And that's when an idea came to me. It was so obvious! I was an absolute idiot for not coming up with it sooner! If the Reserve Course just went away…this whole problem would be solved!"

"But why would you try to burn it down?!" the Musician cried out, her voice hoarse due to the still prevailing smoke. "What if you killed any of those people inside?!"

"Collateral damage is inevitable for the greater good. The ends justify the means, as the saying goes." the Lucky One rebutted calmly.

Gundam shook his head in disapproval. "The fate of those mortals you are prejudiced against is their own responsibility to dictate, not yours."

The Lucky One sighed and ran a hand through the back of his head. "How disappointing. It seems you guys are still blinded from the truth. However, like I mentioned before, I think there's still potential within you real students of Hope's Peak. So, I think I should…do you guys a little favour."

"Do you think this is little more than a pastime for your own amusement?" Gundam questioned bitterly.

"On the contrary, I am taking this very, very seriously." the Lucky One countered with a scowl before his demented smile took back its place. "I just wish to give you both a helpful tip, as a gesture of good faith in regards to your Ultimate status."

Before Gundam or the Musician were able to potentially ask what the Lucky One was referring to, he turned his back to them and pressed his foot onto the front gate. He then pushed on it and a loud groan emitted from the gate as it slowly swung itself open marginally.

The Musician gasped loudly while The Forbidden One's eyes widened in surprise. "How did you-"

"It was nothing more than a lucky assumption." the Lucky One replied without turning back to face the other two. "Isn't it funny to imagine that out of all the days for the front entrance to not be locked up properly…it would be today?"

Gundam looked down and tugged at his scarf.

The Lucky One looked over his shoulder and pointed at the academy building in front of him. "My little tip for the both of you is simple: I am going to finish what I started. And it requires me to go inside the Main Course building. The real Hope's Peak Academy."

"W-What are you going to do?" the Musician questioned as her complexion turned pale.

"I think I've said all I needed to say." the Lucky One replied while he turned his head back around and began to take a step forward. However, he suddenly stumbled over and fell to the ground. He would have landed face-first onto the hard surface below if he hadn't protected himself using his own hands and arms. Either way, the resulting loss of balance made him fall to the ground and release a grunt of pain.

Immediately, Gundam rushed over to the Lucky One and made no hesitation to restrain him in his current state to the best of his ability.

It didn't take long for the Musician to follow suit and aid Gundam in holding back the Lucky One with an astonished expression.

"Huh. I didn't expect that." the Lucky One marvelled, not even attempting to break free from his makeshift confinement. "For me to trip over myself like that…talk about bad luck."

"Kehehe, I wouldn't credit it to fortune, Lucky One." Gundam corrected with a satisfied smirk. "Direct your attention toward the adornments located on your feet."

The Lucky One did as prompted and noticed the shoelaces on both of his shoes were tied together into one large knot. And standing over the side of him…was none other than a Dark Deva.

Gundam, while still keeping the Lucky One stationary, set a hand down to the ground. "Remarkable performance, Cham-P. You have served me diligently once again."

The Deva squeaked and crawled its way over to Gundam, climbed back up his arm and took refuge in his scarf.

"Woah!" the Musician exclaimed in awe. "Ibuki had no idea hamsters could do that!"

The Supreme Overlord of Ice scoffed. "You, Musician, have clearly underestimated the power of the Four Dark Devas of Destruction. They are intelligent and mighty beasts whom I have thoroughly tamed thanks to the power of the dark arts."

"Amazing…simply incredible…" the Lucky One murmured. "There's so much potential brimming from within that level of talent…so much…hope. All I have to do is just create that final push, and you can become true symbols of hope! I just know it!"

The Musician looked down at the Lucky One as an apprehensive expression spawned on her face. "So…what do we do now?"

"We must ensure this fiend is detained until we can acquire aid." Gundam answered. "Do you have a cellular device in your possession?"

"Oh! Yep, Ibuki's always got Ibuki's phone in Ibuki's pocket at all times!" the Musician replied in a tongue-twistery manner, reaching into her skirt pocket with her free hand.

The Lucky One made a clicking sound with his tongue. "Hmm…now how am I going to get out of this? What to do, what to do…"

"Silence." Gundam snapped in response to the Lucky One muttering to himself. "The Musician shall be summoning aid momentarily, and your devious scheme will be thwarted."

The Musician then let out a cry of distress. "Oh no. Oh nonono, why now?!"

Gundam turned to face the Musician, who had retrieved her cellular device and grasped it in her hand. "What is it, Musician?"

"Ibuki's phone started a software update on its own!" she exclaimed in anguish.

"Software update?" Gundam repeated in confusion.

"Ibuki can't use the phone until it's finished updating, and I don't know how long it's going to take!"

Gundam's eyes widened out of shock.

"J-Just use your phone, Gundam!" the Musician frantically suggested.

"I didn't bring mine with me since I deduced it wouldn't be required for the assignment!" Gundam countered, starting to get distressed himself.

"Before you think of using my phone, I didn't bring it either." the Lucky One butted in. "I didn't want the phone to…track me through its GPS system."

The Forbidden One felt himself start to experience a feeling of dread. "We don't have the luxury of time! It would spell disaster if the Devas continue to be exposed to the fumes manifested through the flames!" As he said that, Gundam looked down at his scarf and saw the Devas underneath, mildly trembling and clutching onto their woollen surroundings tightly.

It was at that very moment that the Supreme Overlord of Ice came to a mortifying revelation.

He couldn't find Jum-P.

Gundam double, triple, and even quadruple checked around his body to try and locate the Deva. His deep concern for the whereabouts of the mighty beast was so prevalent that his mind temporarily forgot about the Lucky One in favour of his search for Jum-P.

"OH, THANK GOODNESS!" the Musician suddenly exclaimed. "IBUKI'S PHONE FINALLY UPDATED!"

All it took was a single moment. The fleeting moment where both the Forbidden One and the Mouthy Musician were distracted with other matters…was enough for the situation to be taken advantage of.

The Lucky One swiftly swung his still bound legs toward the unsuspecting Musician and made contact, causing her to lose her balance and tumble to the ground. Although the resulting fall didn't wound the Musician physically, it did cause the cellular device to dislodge from her hand and collide onto the ground.

Gundam's attention turned over to the commotion that occurred just in front of him, and realised what had transpired.

The Musician pulled herself up and stared down to the side in horror upon the sight of her cellular device, which now had been significantly damaged. "NO!"

Before Gundam could form some kind of response, a sudden blunt force struck him in the face, which knocked him off of his feet. It took a moment for the Supreme Overlord of Ice to regain his senses, but as the painful sensation throughout his head slowly died down, he spotted something laying next to him:

The Lucky One's tied shoes.

"HE'S HEADING INTO THE SCHOOL!" the Musician cried, which prompted Gundam to spring his body back up thanks to the sight forewarned by his classmate.

Despite Gundam and the Musician's pain, the former being physical and the latter being emotional, neither of them wasted any time and chased after the Lucky One. The pair ran after him.

And ran.

And ran.

And ran, all throughout the domain of Hope's Peak Academy.

It was unclear how much time the chase had persisted for. A combination of the ever present smoke creating disorientation and the exhaustion from their hasty return after completing their assignment had a gruelling toll on the Forbidden One's own vessel. He felt the urge to pass out a number of times as he and the Musician pursued the Lucky One, but Gundam forced himself to keep going.

The Lucky One seemingly had no particular destination in mind while he sprinted away from the duo. Despite that lack of forethought, he had managed to maintain his distance and didn't accidentally back himself into a corner, likely due to his infamous fortune.

And in that moment, when Gundam felt that same impulse to lose consciousness after keeping up the chase for so long, just when he was about to be overcome by his fatigue…The Musician did the unthinkable.

With a mighty cry befitting of the ruler of a fierce jungle, the Musician leaped into the air and latched onto the Lucky One's back.

This caused the Lucky One to stop in his tracks and struggle to keep himself upright. "THIS IS AMAZING!" he exclaimed while grinning ear to ear. "THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THESE PAST THREE YEARS! THE CHANCE, NO, THE PRIVILEGE TO PARTAKE IN A BATTLE OF HOPES! I TRULY AM LUCK-"

The Musician grabbed onto the sides of the Lucky One's head and started to shake him around aggressively. "YOU INSULTED IBUKI'S FRIENDS, YOU TRIED TO BURN DOWN THE RESERVE COURSE, AND NOW YOU BROKE IBUKI'S PHONE BEFORE SHE COULD EVEN CALL THAT CUTE CHECKOUT GIRL! IBUKI WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU, NAGITO!"

The Lucky One yelped in pain as both he and the Musician stumbled around the barren hallways the trinity had arrived at.

Although he still felt weary, Gundam scanned his nearby surroundings when he realised something. They had somehow managed to find themselves only a few steps away from the domain of Classroom 77-B. In his hazy state of mind, Gundam manifested an idea to prevent the Lucky One from fleeing any further.

"Musician!" the Supreme Overlord of Ice called out. "Come forth!" Despite the smoke, Gundam did his best to attain the Musician's attention and made gestures to the Instructor's domain.

Fortunately, the Musician was able to register Gundam's advice and began to lean the Lucky One over to the desired location. Either due to a lack of awareness or lack of care as to what was happening, the Lucky One didn't put up too much resistance and after only a short amount of time, they had entered Classroom 77-B.

With no time to waste, Gundam went inside the domain with them and concealed the door behind him to the best of his ability with what minimal resources were available.

However, after only being within the domain for a few seconds, the Musician and the Lucky One collided into some of the desks and chairs stored inside. The resulting collision sent both of them tumbling to the floor, separated.

Gundam ran over to the spot of the crash and surveyed the chaos.

While the Musician made pained murmurs as she rubbed her bruised forehead while laying flat on the ground, the Lucky One managed to stagger himself upright by leaning himself over a toppled desk, not a single scratch to be found on him. Gundam couldn't help but experience a wave of concern for the Musician's vessel wash over him.

"Ah…" the Lucky One exhaled before coughing into his fist. "How lovely…how lovely it is to be back in this classroom once again. I truly did miss this place."

Gundam looked the Lucky One in the eyes and stood his ground. "You are trapped, fiend. The solitary exit to this domain has been sealed off. Whatever plans you have conjured in that wicked mind of yours can no longer be fulfilled. It will only be a matter of time before higher forces come for you, Lucky One."

"Well…I won't deny that this is a bit of an…inconvenience." the Lucky One sighed while returning eye contact with the Supreme Overlord of Ice. He started to slowly move away from the cluster of disorganised desks, shuffling to the Instructor's station.

"Your pyro-assault on the Reserve Course department hasn't gone unnoticed." Gundam pointed out, stepping closer to the Lucky One at the same speed as the white-haired man. "Once higher forces get a hold of you, you will likely never step foot in this domain ever again."

The Lucky One continued to shuffle to his destination, not breaking his gaze toward the Supreme Overlord of Ice for even a moment. "You know…even now…even though the inclusion of the Reserve Course has tainted the integrity of an otherwise wonderful academy, and has manipulated the rest of you…I can't stay mad. I just can't."

The Musician squeezed her eyes shut in pain, not in any condition to bring herself up.

"To tell you the truth…I…I am in love with you guys."the Lucky One confessed, now next to the Instructor's miniature podium. "Ever since I met all of you all those years ago…I've felt a deep admiration for every single Ultimate I've had the privilege of meeting. Even though I know my place as nothing more than filthy trash…I couldn't help but fall in love with everyone's talents and the hope they are capable of creating."

Gundam gave the Lucky One a repulsed look. "Whatever you claim to be admiration…is nothing more than an unethical delusion and obsession conjured from your own depraved mind. That is not 'love'."

With a bitter chuckle, the Lucky One knelt down behind the podium. "I don't expect you to understand…but that's okay. My love is selfless, after all. It's a kind of love that expects nothing in return from the other side."

By the time Gundam had moved to the front of the podium, the Lucky One had pulled out something and held it in his hand.

"Just as I had thought." the Lucky One chirped with a repugnant smile. "I really am lucky. Miss Yukizome kept an air freshener dispenser here."

"...What is so spectacular about that?" Gundam asked, getting a bad feeling from the depths of his being.

Without answering the question, the Lucky One walked over to the other side of the domain, toward the transparent casements that allowed the outside to be still viewed from within.

Sceptical of what the Lucky One might have been doing, Gundam didn't hesitate to follow him. As Gundam walked over however, a familiar feeling of his own consciousness threatening to fade away crept up once more, but he was quickly able to compose himself before his will could give in.

"You might already know this, but…even though I'm a worthless sack of flesh that just screws everything up… I want to truly spread more hope into the world." the Lucky One asserted as he placed his hand on the casement and looked at the view it granted. "So…I want to do my part as a worthy stepping stone. Even if I have to risk my own safety…I will do what I must for the greater good of this academy."

"W-What are you-"

Before Gundam could even finish his sentence, the Lucky One turned over to the scarlet curtains that hung over to the side of the transparent casements. In what felt like an instantaneous motion he pulled out a controlled flame device, activated it, and sprayed the artificial flame over it using the air freshener dispenser to spread the fire.

The resulting breath of fire coated itself onto the curtains and engulfed them in flames in a matter of seconds. All Gundam could do was watch in horror, unable to manifest any sort of counter to it.

The Lucky One looked over his shoulder to glance over at the Supreme Overlord of Ice, with the man barely able to contain a sinister laugh. And just as the man had broken the nearby casement with his elbow-

A loud crash was suddenly heard from the entrance of the domain, grabbing the attention of both Gundam and the Lucky One. The previously sealed doorway had been forcibly opened, and on the other side…

It was none other than the Instructor, equipped with a protective mask and wielding a fire extinguisher.

Instantaneously, the Instructor sprinted over to the newly spawned flames and activated the fire extinguisher, engulfing the curtains (as well as the side of the Lucky One's body) in the cooling agent.

The Lucky One's expression dissolved into apathy as he watched his own flames get extinguished. "Ah. It seems my good luck has finally run out."

"Put your hands behind your head. Now." the Instructor demanded, giving the coldest stare Gundam had ever witnessed from a mortal.

With no hesitation, the Lucky One obeyed the Instructor's command. He raised his hands, dropping both of the objects he held to the ground, and placed his hands where instructed all while holding a tranquil smile on his face.

A pair of officers of the law wielding conducted electricity devices then entered the domain. They cautiously approached and their eyes scanned over everyone inside.

Gundam and the Instructor glared at the Lucky One, while the Lucky One stared at the officers with an unamused expression. "Well…I guess this means that my hope was inferior all along. I have lost. What a shame."

"You are under arrest for suspicion of attempted arson against government-funded property." one of the officers stated as the other one took out a pair of handcuffs and made their way over to the Lucky One.

As the officer started the process of officially detaining the Lucky One, the Instructor turned over to face the Supreme Overlord of Ice. "Are you okay, Gundam?"

"I am…stable enough." the Forbidden One reassured, coughing slightly before covering his mouth with a section of the scarf. "How…did you even locate us?"

The Instructor gave him a small smile, despite her mouth being protected by the face mask. "Let's just say a little friend of yours helped out in that regard."

Gundam's eyes widened in shock at the revelation. "JUM-P?!" he exclaimed, unable to suppress the relief in his voice. "He's safe?!"

"Sonia's taking care of him." the Instructor confirmed with a nod. "That being said though, I had no idea where you guys even were, just that you might have been nearby. We had evacuated the academy and were just looking around in case…the arsonist was still around."

Gundam theorised that the Lucky One's fortune may have influenced the turn of events, but he thought best not to verbalise his thoughts for the moment.

"By the way, did you mention something about 'us' just now?" the Instructor then asked.

The Forbidden One raised his eyebrow in confusion, before he realised. "The Musician!" he shouted, running over the spot he last saw his classmate.

The Instructor gasped, following Gundam. "Do you mean Ibuki?! Ibuki's with you?!"

Fortunately, it seemed the Musician was in a stable condition. One of the officers was tending to her with some kind of aiding kit. The Musician held some kind of ice pack against her forehead.

"Ibuki! What happened?! Are you hurt?!" the Instructor questioned, rushing over to her injured disciple with a worried expression.

The Musician looked at the Instructor when she made her presence known and her very being beamed. "MISS YUKIZOME!" she cried out before she embraced the older woman, dropping the ice pack in the process.

The Instructor almost toppled over in response to her own disciple's clutch, but maintained her footing as she looked down at the Musician with a surprised look.

"M-Miss Yukizome…Ibuki's phone is broken…Nagito says he was the one that set the Reserve Course building on fire…a-and now Ibuki's head hurts. Ibuki just wants to go home…" the Musician croaked with an exhausted and shaky voice.

"It's alright." the Instructor consoled, looking downwards with an empathetic expression. "Everything is going to be okay, Ibuki. I promise."

Those words echoed in Gundam's mind as he watched one of the officers escort the Lucky One out of the domain.

Everything is going to be okay.

The academy had already been evacuated according to the Instructor.

Everything is going to be okay.

Jum-P was under the protection of the apprentice, and all the other Devas were still with him.

Everything is going to be okay.

Gundam finally began to relax.

And that newfound sense of ease was all it took for Gundam Tanaka…to lose consciousness.
