Within Endless Time

"But toniiiiiight, I'm gonna flyyyyy, Yea toniiiiight, I'm gonna flyyyy! Cause I could comb across the world and see everything and never be satisfied, if I couldn't, see those….eyes."

Lacus continued to hum and sing with the radio in the garden as her entire litter of Haros bounced around. Another day, another serious council meeting. Her father, Siegel, was taking many extended trips to the office, though Lacus couldn't really blame him. The war was putting a strain on everybody. Athrun was sadly deployed with the Le Creuset team again. That just left Lacus and her little Haros. For funsies, she picked up a white marker and drew a mustache on Mr. Navy. Hoping to keep her mind off more serious issues, she threw the little blue ball as hard as she could.

"Ok everyone! Mr. Navy is 'it'! Go get him!"

"HARO HARO HARO HARO"

She giggled as her swarm chased after the terrified blue ball. But her joy was short lived. As all of a sudden immense pain and sorrow filled her heart. Her chest tightened fiercely, so much so she actually knelt to the ground. Never had she felt such sadness. And it came out of nowhere. There was nothing around her to trigger this reaction. As the nearby staff rushed over to her, only one thought permeated through her mind. All she could think of was his moppy brown hair and his purple eyes.

"Oh Kira…..what's going on?"

Everything was black. The darkness was boundless. There was no end. No beginning. It was neither hot nor cold. There was no weight. There was no feeling. But there was no panic either. There was just emptiness. He looked around continuing to stare into the blank vastness. There was nothing….or so he thought.

"Kira…"

As if the heavens called him, Kira jerked up at this melodic voice. It was soft and kind. It was like an angel calling him to wake up.

"Kira…"

There it was again. A voice that sounded so distinct. Like that of a trained singer. Of someone beautiful. All of a sudden, the black void was being filled with color. It started with blue. Then a white dress. A gold hairclip. And pink hair.

"Lacus…" he weakly called out.

"Kira!" the voice replied, but this time it was different.

More color filled his vision. The cold metallic blue of the walls. The dress turned into a pink jacket, a uniform of sorts. The hair deepened into a dark red. The eyes dulled into a grey.

"Kira! You're awake!" the voice called out again.

"He is? Kira! Kira! How are you feeling?" a different voice chimed in.

"….Milly?" Kira softly asked spotting her distinctive brunette hair.

Neither Milly nor Kira really noticed Flay pouting to the side. However, both girls were incredibly relieved to see Kira awake and somewhat coherent. Not long later the ship's doctor arrived and placed a cool towel over his head. Just outside the room, all of Kira's friends waited with bated breath for the diagnosis. Finally, the doctor stepped out to give his findings.

"I must say, Mr. Yamato, is one special being. Given the final readings of the Strike's cockpit, the temperatures rose to uninhabitable numbers. Any normal human in that situation would have died from heat exhaustion. Fortunately, Mr. Yamato isn't any normal human. Quite frankly I don't understand it myself, but he's lucky all he has is a fever. I'm not sure a regular coordinator could have handled those conditions as easily. I think it's best that you folks give him some rest and thank whatever deity you believe in that your friend is safe. I've prescribed periodic fluids to be injected into his IV. That should get him up and running in a few hours."

"Thank you, Doctor! Really!" Sai shook his hand before sending him off.

"Damn. Kira's one tough SOB, huh."

"He's done a lot of crazy things these past few weeks. We shouldn't take him for granted ever," Milly chimed in.

"Agreed."

"I-I'll stay and watch him," Flay shyly volunteered.

"Flay?" Sai questioned.

"I'll be fine. I don't really have much of a job on this ship anyway. You all are all bridge operators or something."

"But Flay, you really don't have to-"

"Sai, I said it's fine. Now drop it," she snapped at him harshly before entering the room and shutting the door behind her.

"…..What's gotten into her?"

Hours later, Flay changed the towel on Kira's head and tried to fluff his pillow a bit to make him feel more comfortable. Still soundly asleep, Kira barely moved and sunk deeper into the mattress. With no one around, Flay's look of concern dropped into one of indifference.

"You really are remarkable, Kira Yamato," she began, "Even the doctor said that a normal coordinator would have struggled surviving temperatures like that. And yet here you are with nothing but dehydration and a fever. Everyone says you're incredible and how grateful we should be for you. But I know the truth. You're nothing but a hack. Empty promises. I bet if my father was a coordinator, you'd move heaven and Earth to save him. Maybe this is your penance. God won't let you die unless you make it up to me. Unless your life is ruined just as much as mine. I won't be satisfied until you work yourself to the bone. When the Strike is nothing more than scrap metal. When you've expended every breath in your body. Then….you have my permission to die."

"Arggg," Kira stirred slightly.

And just like that, with a drop of a hat, Flay put on her ditzy, cheerful, girly expression. She smiled happily now that Kira was awake.

"Kira! How are you feeling?"

"Uhhh better. I-I don't think I'm as dizzy as before. I feel cooler."

Slowly he sat up and Flay gave him something to lean on.

"Do you need something sweetie?" she asked playfully.

"I uh maybe some water," he requested, not noticing the sudden pet name.

"Easy. I'll go get you some more water. And maybe a snack. Some hot soup would do you good."

"O-ok. Thanks, Flay."

"Of course."

Moments later as Flay was walking down the corridor with a tray of water and soup, one of the mechanics from the hanger ran up to her.

"Heya! Is that Yamato's tray?"

"Uhhh yes?"

"Perfect. Could you give him this? We found it in the Strike's cockpit. I'm guessing it's something important to him."

He handed her a paper flower that Flay almost instantly recognized. Thanking the mechanic, Flay hid a slight smirk as she walked back to the medical bay. As she arrived, Flay was slightly taken aback. Kira was actually standing and stretching. He had changed back into his blue Ensign uniform but had yet to button up his jacket.

"Hey Flay!"

"H-hi Kira!" she stuttered but quickly tried to recover, "Y-you're up early. How could you heal so fast?"

"I dunno. I don't think it's been that quick though. It feels like I've been in that bed for days."

"R-right. I see."

"Can you give me an update?"

"Huh?"

"What did I miss?"

"Um well good news is we are on Earth."

"Yea, I figured that out with the hard gravity," he chuckled stomping his feet.

"Mmm hmm uh well sigh the way Sai explained it made a lot more sense. We're on Earth…but we're in a desert."

"Huh?"

"More specifically….a ZAFT controlled desert."

"…..Oh no," Kira sat down on the bed with shame.

"Yea…Sai said something about the Archangel having to what was it? Shift angles to catch the Strike? Or something like that?"

Kira froze upon hearing that. Now that his brain was running, memories of that fateful battle in the atmosphere flooded his brain. Beam sabers clashing with the Duel. Temperatures rising to unbearable heights. A shuttle, flying right past him…

"Kira? One of the mechanics found this in your cockpit. He asked me to give it to you."

Kira looked up to find a small yellow paper flower. It was slightly crumpled but mostly held its shape. All his regained strength was drained from his body. Shakily he reached out to take the flower from Flay. That was all he could hold back. Almost instantly he fell to the ground bawling.

"Will I see you again? On Earth?"

"Yes. I'll come visit you."

"You promise?"

"I promise…"

"AHHHHHHH" he cried aloud, "I'm so sorry Elle. I'm so so sorry. I wasn't strong enough. I wasn't fast enough. I'm just not enough. I was not able to protect you and others. I'm worthless!"

Through all his tears and wailing, Flay knelt down and actually held Kira. She caressed his head and gently brushed his hair.

"Shhh baby it's ok. It's ok Kira."

"It's not. H-How can I protect our friends if I'm so weak like this? How!?"

"Shhh it's ok. Everything will be ok, Kira. You'll just have to work harder next time, ok?"

"Huh?" Kira paused for a moment.

"Yes, Kira. You need to push yourself. Push past your limits. Do everything you can to kill the enemy…"

"F-Flay. I uh…."

"Shhh. Just let it happen. Let go, Kira…"

Once again without warning, Flay tilted Kira's head up so she could kiss him. Still very shocked and confused, Kira froze letting Flay take charge. Unlike the first kiss, however, this felt unpleasant, unnatural. And very poorly timed. Kira didn't even close his eyes and gently tried to scoot away. Sensing this, Flay let him go and pouted.

"Kira!? What's wrong? I'm just trying to make you feel better."

"I uh I appreciate you taking care of me Flay, b-but I think this is a good place to stop. I'm good. Really. I'm good right here."

"But Kira….don't you want this? Don't you want me? I see you stealing glances at me when we were at school. I notice the times you look away when Sai compliments me. I want you, Kira. Sai is just something my parents set up. I want to choose the man I love…"

"I don't know about you, Kira, but personally, I'd like to marry a man I love…"

On that quick flashback, Kira abruptly got up and straightened his uniform jacket.

"Flay. I-I don't think we should see each other right now. There's a lot going on here, but bottom line, you're engaged to Sai. Sai is my friend. Regardless of how we feel about each other, I'm not going to break the trust Sai and I have."

"But Kira!"

"Flay please. I-I have a lot to work through right now. I need to grieve. I so desperately need to grieve right now. Please just….just stay away from me."

On that bombshell, Kira rushed out of the room leaving a bewildered Flay kneeling on the ground. Shock and confusion were painted on Flay's face as she did not know what had just happened. Did Kira Yamato, a filthy coordinator, just reject the hottest girl in the Heliopolis School?! Anger boiled through her body. Rage made her grit her teeth. How could just a simple plan fail spectacularly?

"Of course…that witch."

Life moved quite quickly for the Archangel crew despite being stranded in a desert. A sneak attack in the dead of night by the great Desert Tiger, Andrew Waltfeld, certainly added some excitement. Of course, surviving the attack led to new introductions. Upon meeting the Desert Dawn, the Archangel crew eagerly partook in the outdoor barbecue and sharing of resources. Their leader, Sahib, was much friendlier despite his rugged outdoorsy look. Some reunions were to be had as well. It was no surprise a fiery hothead like Cagalli punched Kira upon immediate recognition. In fact, this whole alliance between the Archangel and the Desert Dawn almost didn't happen if Murrue and Mu weren't as cool headed. Kira sadly blacked out for a hot minute still recovering from his fever.

Not everything was as cheerful and lighthearted, however. The Desert Tiger, Waltfeld, launched an unprovoked attack on the Desert Dawn's home village. Despite razing the town to ashes, there were no casualties as all civilians were mysteriously evacuated prior to the attack. Regardless, the Desert Dawn blindly led a full-scale offensive on the nearby ZAFT forces. Sadly, their full-scale offensive paled in comparison to the ZAFT BuCUEs. Even with Kira in the Aile Strike, the tiny rebel force suffered heavy casualties. Tensions rose amongst Cagalli and the Heliopolis crew, mainly because Cagalli was too stubborn to admit she and her team acted too rashly. Regardless, Kira had his own issues to deal with. He and Flay were not on speaking terms, and no one in the friend group understood it. Sai tried to ask both of them what was going on, but neither wanted to explain to him what had transpired. If anything, Kira wanted to get away for a bit, so he eagerly volunteered to go with Cagalli to get supplies from a nearby town. Everyone turned in a list of simple stuff like soda, certain candies, hopefully a magazine or two. Flay handed them two sheets full of wild beauty products. It seemed Kira couldn't get away from Flay as far as he liked.

"Jesus Christ man! How much cream or serum or lotion or whatever does this bitch need?!" Cagalli groaned carrying multiple shopping bags.

"Hmm," Kira also groaned carrying multiple other bags, "You shouldn't call people names like that."

"Oh, excuse me, Kira! I didn't realize you were my third-grade teacher!"

"I'm just saying."

"Yea yea."

"Besides, some of this stuff is pretty good. Maybe you could ask her for some…uh," Kira paused trying to figure out how to explain it without being offensive.

"What? Spit it out!"

"….Tips on how to use them?"

"…What? Am I not girly enough for you?"

"Well I mean…uh it's not like that. See I thought you were a guy when we met anyway so uh…."

"Watch it bro!"

"Sorry!"

"…."

"…."

"…."

"BAHAHAHA" both the blondie and the brunette let a hearty chuckle happy to find at least some reprieve from this dire situation.

"Look man, we cool?" she extended her hand for a fist bump.

"The way I see it, you hit me. I hit you. We're cool," he returned the gesture.

"Pft ass. Anyway, I'm hungry. Come this way, I know a great place!"

Making their way down the market, Cagalli and Kira arrived at a bustling food stand surrounded by chairs and tables. She directed him to sit at one of the tables while walking up to the window to begin ordering their food. Not one to deny himself a break, Kira immediately plopped down at a table and dropped all the bags to the ground. Moments later, Cagalli came over with two steaming hot plates.

"Yeesh. And here I thought you were made of sterner stuff," she teased.

"This is just a lot of stuff!"

"What? You never went shopping with your girlfriend at the mall? And by shopping, I mean holding all her bags as she perused all the designer boutiques."

"Well no. Not really. I never had a girlfriend."

"…..Really?"

"No."

"….Y'know. I believe it."

"Gee thanks."

"Hehe I didn't mean it like that. It's just….you seem like a person who does a lot of thinking. So, taking a big step like starting a relationship with someone would make you pause and really think about it. That's all."

"….Nice save," he rolled his eyes.

"Blah blah. Here! Eat your food."

"What is it?" Kira asked as he looked at his plate.

"Donor kebab! Ahhh I'm starving!" she leaned forward and lowered her voice, "We may be in ZAFT territory, but even I gotta admit, this stand makes the BEST kebabs within like a hundred miles."

Kira looked on as Cagalli grabbed the red spicy sauce and drenched the meat in it. Then she wrapped up the meat and veggies in the bread and began chowing down. Kira smiled at the sight feeling like a normal kid for once. It must be nice not having to worry about wars or territories or soldiers attacking at any moment. He wondered if he would ever get to do what Cagalli said: go to the mall with his girlfriend, hold all her shopping bags, and then sit down and have a meal with her.

"I wonder what Lacus is doing," he mumbled to himself.

"Eh? Whatmph chu say?" Cagalli spoke with a mouth full of kebab.

"Huh? Uhh nothing."

"Hey, eat up!" she was coherent after swallowing her bite, "It's good when it's hot! Oh and you gotta add the spicy sauce!"

Just as she was about to squirt the red liquid onto Kira's plate, a long tan but strong hand intercepted her with a white sauce bottle.

"Whooooa hold on there, kiddies. I would not recommend that!"

Kira and Cagalli looked up to see this rando tanned man in a ratan hat, a flaming Hawaiian shirt, and cheap sunglasses smile before them.

"How could you even fathom pouring chili sauce onto this sacred and holy donor kebab! As God intended, it must be paired with this divine yogurt sauce!" the stranger excessively declared.

"Dude? Who the heck are you? You can't just barge into people's meals like this and tell them how to eat!" Cagalli snapped back.

"Shh shhh quiet lady. Your kebab may be lost to the heathens, but this strappin young man here? I can still save his soul!" the stranger leaned over to try and pour the yogurt sauce in.

"Oh no you don't! Kira's going to have it with chili sauce! Like a man!" Cagalli struggled and pushed back against the stranger.

"….Uhh don't I get a say in this?" Kira asked.

"NO!" was the resounding answer he got.

A few awkward moments of struggling later, both Cagalli and the stranger aggressively leaned forward and squirted both the yogurt and chili sauce all over Kira's kebab.

"Aw man."

"Well that's a shame."

"…..Maybe we'll discover new flavors?" Kira shrugged.

"Hmm."

Thinking the encounter was over, Cagalli picked up her kebab and was about to continue eating. Unfortunately, this wild man was persistent and pulled up a chair right to their table.

"Seriously? Can't we just eat in peace?" she growled.

"Hey, I made new friends today. Can't an old man sit and chill?"

"Ugh, not when you say it…"

"You kids got a lot of shopping bags here. Throwing a party?"

"None of your business!"

"I'm just saying, folks don't usually buy in bulk around here. Come to think of it, you kids aren't from around here either…"

Kira and Cagalli immediately tensed up, though part of that was Kira desperately trying to get through his now spicy and tangy kebab. Before any more conversation could be had, an ignition and a puff of smoke could be heard by both Kira and the stranger. Without warning, the stranger kicked up the table, and Kira dover to shield Cagalli. Despite now being covered in sauces, Cagalli curled under Kira's embrace as the two kids huddled behind the tipped over table.

"You kids alright?" the stranger asked, brandishing a gun.

"What the hell?" Cagalli exclaimed.

"Language, girly."

Getting up the stranger and several surrounding men starting firing at the descending attackers. Cagalli flinched as she heard one of the hitmen scream out the rather infamous phrase of Blue Cosmos: "For the preservation of our pure and blue world!"

*BANG BANG BANG*

More gunfire rained through the streets as Cagalli and Kira tried to be as small as possible behind the table. From the corner of his eye, Kira spotted one of the hitmen hiding behind a wall. Before anything could happen, Kira grabbed a nearby pistol and chucked it at the assailant. The heavy sidearm hit the man in the hand disorienting him. Without hesitation, Kira rushed the guy and kicked him unconscious. Finally, all the commotion was over.

"Dude!" Cagalli yelled, "Do you even know how to use a gun?!"

"…hmm," Kira growled.

"…..Sorry."

"Commander! Are you alright?"

The two teens looked over to see a soldier approach their strange meal companion. Cagalli gasped realizing they had been arguing with Andrew Waltfeld, the damn Desert Tiger, this whole time.

"Oh you gotta be kidding me…"

Hours later after Cagalli got cleaned up at the Waltfeld mansion, the teens returned to the Archangel with some of the supplies folks requested. Most of the crew were outside having another barbeque with the Desert Dawn. Kira had taken his plate and sat by himself in the corner overlooking the cool desert landscape. His conversation with Andrew Waltfeld still lingered in his mind.

"How does one determine winners and losers in war, Mr. Yamato? Is it when every single enemy is annihilated?"

"That seems rather….barbaric."

"Maybe. But do you see another option besides either you or me being killed. We are enemies after all, are we not?"

Kira sighed wondering if there was truly only one way to win a war. In his heart, he believed there should be another option. One where no one had to die.

"A person is smart. But people are dumb and panicky."

Maybe people weren't ready to accept a simpler option. Maybe they'd just be too willing to fight because that was all they knew…

"Oy! Kid! You finished eating yet?"

"Huh? Mu?"

Kira sat bewildered as the Lieutenant made his way towards him.

"Seems like you're finished. Come with me. I got something to show ya."

A little confused, Kira got up and followed the Lieutenant back into the Archangel. After traversing a few corridors and taking the elevator up a few flights, Kira and Mu arrived at a locker room, but not the pilot's one. Mu opened one of the lockers and handed Kira some orange glasses and some earmuffs. Immediately Kira realized where they were.

"Mu, why are we at the gun range?"

"Because you're going to learn how to use a gun."

"What? No. No. No. No way," Kira argued trying to return the safety equipment.

"Kid, don't fight me on this," Mu said sternly.

"I won't learn how to use a gun, Mu! Those things kill people. It's bad enough I point a giant laser at other pilots. But a gun! I'm not a soldier Mu! I never wanted to be one!"

"Be that as it may, Kira, right now you are one. I get it. You're young and you don't want to be here. But we're here. Look, I had heard what happened in the city, with you, Cagalli, and Waltfeld. While it's great that you saved everyone, you're going to be put in those situations again. You're a mobile suit pilot. Let's say you get shot down and stranded in enemy territory. You're going to have to defend yourself. Throwing a gun isn't helpful because what if it accidentally discharged. What if the bullet hit you or worse your ally? I'm telling you as your senior officer and your friend, it sucks but you have to learn how to fire a gun. It's better to have this skill and never use it than not have it and desperately need it."

"….Ok. Thanks Mu."

"Of course. Now come on, I'll show you the basic parts."

Lacus had been feeling extremely bizarre these last couple of weeks. Never had she switched so abruptly from being calm and collected to being on the verge of crying and with so much pain in her heart. There was nothing to set her off in her home. She was surrounded by loyal servants she had known all her life. Her father, despite being very busy, still made it a point to come home and at least have dinner with her. They weren't in any danger as far as she knew. What was wrong with her? Why all these random mood swings? She knew for sure she wasn't pregnant. She and Kira hadn't begun fooling around yet…..wait.

Immediately Lacus sat up from her bed and buried her face in her hands. Her cheeks were burning like fire. Her breathing was staggered and uncomfortable. Soon, Lacus took a deep breath and tried to slow down her heart rate. She vigorously shook her head and slapped her cheeks in an effort to purge her mind of dirty thoughts. Why was it that when she thought about being pregnant, she immediately assumed Kira was the father? They weren't together. Besides, what if Kira didn't feel the same way? Wasn't he mildly infatuated with that Flay girl?

"Lacus please! Pull yourself together!" she tried to pep talk to herself, "Quit thinking about Kira and his soft hair, and his shining eyes, and his…..Arrggg!"

With a groan, she buried herself into her pillow and rolled around in the bed. Come to think of it, whenever she felt overcome with sorrow, all she could think about was Kira. Lacus sat up once again wondering what this newfound connection she felt to him was. Too curious to sleep, she opted to make her way downstairs for some water and maybe a snack.

"Patrick this is starting to get ridiculous!"

"No! What's ridiculous is your unfounded belief that the Earth Forces and Orb are open to negotiation!"

Lacus froze on the stairs and sat down. She curled up trying her best to hide in the shadows. Eavesdropping was rarely on her list of ethical things to do, but somehow this conversation between her father and her supposed father-in-law, Patrick Zala, seemed important.

"Patrick please. Intensifying the war and stirring more hatred won't get us anywhere."

"You forget Siegel that those naturals fired the first shot! They exiled us and wanted us to be extinct because they can't handle that we are the future! Coordinators are the new humans. We are superior in every way!"

"We may be strong and faster, but we are also dying. Birth rates amongst third-generation coordinators are declining rapidly. I don't find sending more of our people to die to be a satisfying solution to our dwindling populations."

"We'll find a way to overcome that. We're smart. We overcome challenges."

"Oh? And have you been smart enough to overcome the challenge that is the Legged Ship?"

Lacus covered her mouth to hide her gasp. Legged Ship? They couldn't possibly be talking about the Archangel, could they?

"The fact that you, Siegel, don't recognize how important of a problem this damned Legged Ship poses infuriates me."

"Patrick it's one ship with one G-weapon. The Le Creuset team literally controls the other four. And we've already gathered ample data to begin construction on the Gen 2 suits."

"Bite your tongue! Those two suits are locked behind the highest of classifications."

"I'm the Supreme Council Chairman. I am the highest of classifications."

"Grr."

"Let it go, Patrick. Why are you so obsessed with one suit and one ship?"

"Because in case YOU haven't noticed that one suit and one ship has been tearing our territories apart. In a span of days, that singular G-weapon killed Andrew Waltfeld, the Desert Tiger, and Marco Morassim, the Killer Whale of the Red Sea. This singular goddamn mobile suit pilot managed to kill two of our most experienced and prestigious commanders. Oh and mysteriously Athrun is missing! You don't find it odd that one of ZAFT's top aces was shot down during transport while that blasted ship was nearby? We cannot let the Earth Forces retrieve the Legged Ship and the data created by that singular G-weapon. We have to capture it."

"Sigh. Be that as it may, we cannot expend any more forces on your wild goose chase. You're the one who pushed for Operation Spitbreak after all."

"Because you are weak, Siegel. Our people deserve closure. Our people deserve a leader who won't cower in front of these Naturals. Brokering peace? Such a naïve idealistic approach."

"….What are you saying?"

"I'm saying because we are old friends, I wanted you to hear it from me first. I am running a campaign against you. I will take your chair and I will lead the PLANTS to a better tomorrow."

With a huff and that last sentiment, Patrick made his way out of the mansion leaving Siegel to contemplate the unfolding events of the war. Lacus meanwhile had scurried back to her room to try and process all that she heard. Specifically, she latched onto the parts where Patrick Zala had spoken about the mobile suit pilot.

"Oh Kira…" she whispered worriedly.

Hearing that Kira had killed two ZAFT commanders and who knows how many more broke her heart. Despite spending so little time with him, Lacus knew that Kira hadn't been able to bear his actions. Her eyes widened at the realization. The truth finally hit her. She and Kira shared a connection somehow. A bond. She had been feeling sorrow and pain because Kira had been overwhelmed with guilt and sadness over killing people. But why? Why with Kira of all people? They had met only briefly. And yet, she could feel him being ingrained deeply into her heart. Everything just felt so confusing. And right now, there really wasn't anything she could do.

"Oh Kira. I pray that you will be ok…"

AN: Hello Everyone! I'm sorry if this chapter kinda felt all over the place. This was my solution to jumping over the Desert and Ocean arcs. Essentially, I tried to make references and stuff to the canon events, but for the most part, if you don't see anything of those scene explicitly written out, please assume they still occurred the same as in the canon series. Otherwise, everything I've written out here is the stuff I've changed. Please let me know of anything good or bad!

Also I must admit, I made Lacus a Jonas Brothers fan...because I'm a Jonas Brothers fan ahahha. It's just a minor fun Easter Egg for me lol. Also also as you see, my little twist to the canon is that Kira and Lacus share some sort of bond. I hope this isn't too far fetched (considering Kira, Mu, and Rau shared that newtype flash thingy and...well because of certain events in the Freedom movie). But yea, this is kinda my own somewhat unique spin on the series. Next up will be the first time the Archangel reaches Orb and...well all know the sequence of events there. Hope you all enjoy the read! Till next time!

P.S. I'm mildly considering creating a discord server for Kira/Lacus fans. Lemme know if there's any interest in that sort of thing!
