Chapter Ten

It had been a few weeks since the crash, Dawn had broken arm and things were still a little frosty in the Summers' house. Dawn was barely talking to Willow and Willow had been all avoidy. Buffy had made the decision to spend more time with Dawn, even if there was impending doom.

The last few weeks had been crazy, Buffy got an attack of invisibility thanks to a group of geeks that had banded together to be a pain in her ass. They were behind the kooky goings on in Sunnydale recently.

Spike had been at the Summers' house a lot over the past few weeks. He and Buffy had become really close, she had come to really rely on him.

Buffy's birthday was just a few days away and it had been decided that there would be a party to celebrate. Buffy wasn't overly keen on the idea as parties in Buffy's house always ended in some sort of blood shed.

Dawn however was excited. She had been excitedly telling Spike about all the plans she had for the party.

"Ohhh and I'm thinking a huge cake! I mean she deserves it right? With the whole being back from the dead thing?" said Dawn excitedly

Spike smirked "I'm sure she'll love it Pet"

"Oh also, Xander and Anya are trying to set Buffy up with one of the guys Xander works with" said Dawn

"Are they now?" said Spike

"Yeah, he's a cutie so I'm told" Dawn said fishing for a reaction

"I'm sure Buffy will love him then" said Spike

"Oh c'mon!" Dawn yelled "You're not the slightest bit jealous?"

Spike sighed and looked at her "Okay, yes… maybe a bit"

Dawn smiled "I don't think you have anything to worry about, I think Buffy is totally falling for you"

"You do?" He asked

"Totally… You spend every night here… are you boinking?" Dawn asked

Spike choked "No!"

"Really?" Dawn asked skeptically "Have you kissed?"

"No… I mean yeah a few weeks ago but… listen Nibblet, don't get excited" he told her

"Who's getting excited? I knew this would happen… you guys are so predictable" said Dawn

"We are?" He asked

"Sure, enemies to lovers? It's tale as old as time Spike" Dawn smiled

Spike had managed to get Dawn off to bed an hour ago, he never in his wildest dreams would've thought that he would be caring for a teenage girl, let alone being in the Slayer's good graces.

Buffy came through the front door and found him sitting on the couch watching TV. She smiled "I'm home"

"Good day at work?" He asked

"No, my feet are killing me" she groaned flopping down on the couch next to him.

Buffy had taken a job as a waitress at the Espresso Pump. The hours fit perfectly, she was home in the morning to see Dawn off for school and finished early enough to do a quick patrol before coming home to Dawn… and Spike.

"Had an interesting conversation with Dawn earlier…" he told her

"Oh yeah? What about?" She asked

"Your birthday… The boy and Demon girl are setting you up with some bloke from Xander's crew" he said

"Oh" said Buffy

"Yeah, they think you need a man in your life" he shrugged

There was silence for a second. Buffy looked at him, she could see that the news of this blind date had irked him.

"Well what do they know?" Buffy tried to laugh it off.

Spike stayed silent.

"Spike?" She frowned

Spike sighed "I'm here every night, I help Dawn with her homework. We spend every night together you and me… I don't ask you for anything, you know how I feel about you and I'm used to not getting anything back… I take my crumbs Slayer…"

"I know" she said softly

"No you don't… I love you Buffy and being with you… it feels amazing" he told her

"I know" she replied again

"What is this to you?" He asked

Buffy took a deep breath "I don't know… I like spending time with you. I know this isn't easy for you, I appreciate you helping with Dawn I just don't know"

Spike nodded and got up to leave

"Where are you going?" She asked

"Home" he told her, grabbing his duster and slipping it on

Buffy got up and followed him to the door "Spike" she pleaded

"What do you want from me Slayer?" He asked

Buffy frowned for a moment and then grabbed the lapels of his duster and pulled him in for a deep passionate kiss.

"Buffy…" Spike whispered as the kiss broke

"Shhh" she whispered back, taking him by the hand she lead him up the stairs.

Spike followed obediently. She lead him to her bedroom and opened the door, she went inside but he lingered at the threshold for a moment.

"Spike…" Buffy said softly, she took him by the hand once more and pulled him in to another kiss.

Their tongues danced around each others mouths. Buffy backed him onto the bed, he looked up at her with shimmering eyes as she straddled his waist. He pulled her in for another kiss as she grabbed at his belt buckle.

Spike broke the kiss "Luv… we don't have to…" he said in a voice barely above a whisper

"I want to" she told him

Buffy started to explore his body, she gently planted kisses down his neck, chest and lower abdomen. She took him into her mouth and he gasped as her hot tongue licked the length of his shaft making his hips tilt up to meet her mouth.

"Oh god Buffy" he gasped

He quickly pulled her up to meet his mouth in a passionately wet kiss "Your turn" he grinned

He flipped her on to her back teasing her trailing his fingers lightly down her lower abdomen until his got to her sweet succulent nub and circled it with his finger making her cry out.

He slowly slid his fingers into her, slipping in and out softly "Guh... Spike" she moaned running her fingers through his hair.

He slowly kissed down until he reached his target, he lapped her up licking and sucking her clit. He knew she was ready he positioned himself at her entrance and slowly trust into her. She flipped him onto his back still connected intimately she slid slowly down his shaft, beginning to ride him softly.

They picked up speed, meeting each other trust for trust. Until they both found their sweet release together.

Still panting Buffy slowly eased herself off of him, and positioned herself next to him. He put his arm around her pulling her closer and kissing the top of her head.

"Wow" Buffy gasped, basking in the afterglow of their session "That was… Wow"

"Right there with you Luv" he grinned

A knock at Buffy's bedroom door alerted her to the fact that she was naked in bed with a bleach blond vampire who evidently hadn't heard the knocking as he was still sound asleep.

"Buffy?" Dawn called through the door

"Yeah… I'll be down in a minute" Buffy called back

"Okay" Dawn replied making her way down the stairs

"Good job I locked that door" Buffy said to herself.

"Spike" she shook him vigorously

He stirred and opened an eye "Mornin'" he said groggily

Buffy had wrapped a sheet around her body and was searching for some clothes to wear "C'mon you gotta get up" she told him

"Why?" He pouted

"Because… Dawn is awake and I have to get her off to school and I have work later" Buffy told him, pulling a T-shirt over her head "C'mon Spike please, just go"

Spike sighed heavily and began searching for his clothes "She knows about us y'know" he mumbled

"What?" Asked Buffy pulling on some yoga pants

"The Nibblet… she was asking questions yesterday" he told her

Buffy bit her lip anxiously "It doesn't matter okay? You just need to get out of here"

"Right" he said sadly pulling on his jeans "I thought last night was… I guess I'm back to being dirt now"

Buffy didn't answer him, she left the room. He thought that last night was the start of something, but judging by her reaction to their previous nights activity he was wrong.
