"Well, what are you guys going to pick?" Uraraka asked as she sat down for lunch.

They'd received offers for internships and had picked their Hero names in Aizawa'a class. It had been stressful, but the majority managed to pick their Hero names by the end of class.

"I'm not sure yet, Uraraka. There's a lot of nuance in these decisions," Iida replied.

"I'm picking Gunhead's agency," Uraraka smiled. "I want to improve my close range."

Izuku sat down next to them. "That might improve your Quirk as well. I doubt having your gravity turned on and off constantly would be nice to fight."

Uraraka smiled at him. "What about you, Dekiru?"

Izuku thought for a moment as he ate. He'd barely glanced at a few dozen, and there were so many varied options he didn't know which one to pick.

"I don't know," He sighed after a few moments. "I haven't been able to look at all of them yet, so I can't decide."

"How many did you get again?" Uraraka asked.

"5,193," Izuku replied. "Most are highly respected agencies, too, so it's even harder to pick."

"Tell me about it," Momo sighed as she sat beside him. "I've only opened one. I can't bring myself to open the rest."

Uraraka smiled as she saw Momo get comfortable beside Izuku, a bit closer than necessary.

"I thought you were sitting with Jiro and the others?" Izuku asked, glancing up at her.

"I was," Momo replied. "But Jiro, Ashido, and Tsu are worried about their internships, so they aren't talkative much, so I came here."

"Mina not being chatty? That's a first," Uraraka commented. "She must be really worried about this internship thing."

"We all are," Todoroki said as he joined them.

"You too, Todoroki?" Uraraka asked, and Todoroki nodded.

"I got an offer from my old man. I might take it," Todoroki told her, beginning to eat.

"I'm going to an agency in Hosu," Iida said. "They have excellent training, so I am very interested because of that."

"You shouldn't lie, Iida," Marvin commented, taking control for a second. "It'll only hurt you."

Iida stiffened a little. "Why do you think I'm lying, Midoriya?"

Marvin sighed internally. "Your tone is flat, almost as if it were practiced. Second, you explained your interest redundantly, something you never do, as if you were trying to convince yourself what you say is the truth."

He fixed Iida with a look. "Third, you stiffened, and your breathing changed."

Marvin tapped his ear. "I can hear your heartbeat. The moment I said you were lying, it shot up abnormally. Like I said, lying won't benefit you."

"It's a personal problem, Midoriya," Iida replied through narrowed eyes. "You don't have to get involved in it."

Marvin nodded. "I know. I'm just saying that if you get used to lying, it might cut your legs from under you."

Iida stared at him suspiciously, and Marvin gave him the barest of nods. Iida nodded back, now knowing Midoriya knew of the Hero Killer. How? He didn't know, but he knew Midoriya knew.

Izuku took back control. "So, what are you guys leaning towards?"

Momo observed Izuku with slight suspicion. She'd noticed how his hearing seemed inconsistent; some days, he could hear her pull a door open or listen to her using her Quirk, even though it only produced a soft sound. On other days, his hearing was average, and he seemed almost unaware of his surroundings.

She thought back to the Sports Festival after he had saved her during her match with Bakugo. Izuku had spoken in two voices simultaneously, along with showing a mastery of a new aspect of his Quirk he'd never demonstrated to her and the desire to kill Bakugo, something he'd told her he never wanted to even think about just three days before.

His fighting also seemed inconsistent. During the Battle Trials and USJ, it was fast, dangerously effective, and borderline deadly, hitting just shy of lethal areas. However, while still fast during the Festival, his defense was significantly weaker, and his movements were more rhythmic and almost rehearsed instead of reacting.

Momo blinked and realized Izuku was blushing furiously, glancing at her occasionally while playing with his food.

She snapped her hand from his hair, yanking it almost as if he'd burned her. Her blush covered her face, and she quickly stared at her lunchbox, trying to continue eating the exquisite food prepared for her.

"Mina's going to love this," Uraraka grinned, quickly typing on her phone.

"Did you take a picture?!" Izuku asked through his food.

Uraraka shook her head. "NO, of course not.," Uraraka exclaimed. "I took a video."

Izuku and Momo blushed, avoiding eye contact with each other or Uraraka as they tried to eat.

"Why are you two embarrassed?" Todoroki asked through his food, looking between them.

"Cause she's going to tell Ashido, and then Ashido is going to say we're dating," Momo hissed, pointing at Uraraka.

Todoroki turned. "Uraraka, it isn't right to invade their privacy like that."

Momo sighed in relief, and Uraraka pouted, but Izuku didn't react, knowing Todoroki wasn't done speaking.

"If they wish to date secretly, we should let them," Todoroki continued.

'There it is,' Marvin grinned.

Momo choked, her face turning red. Izuku patted her on the back, his face equally red.

"We're- we're not dating," Momo whispered harshly.

Todoroki nodded. "I understand. If the press were to find out the Yaoyorozu heir was dating the successor to All Might, they would never leave you alone."

Momo placed her head in her hands and groaned while Izuku's brows furrowed.

'You know, if you lie with something like that, Mina might leave you alone,' Marvin pointed out.

'That's wrong,' Izuku frowned slightly. 'We can't do that to Momo.'

Marvin shrugged. 'You could suggest it. I think she might agree if you point out the reasons.'

Momo looked up from her hands, brows knit together, before turning to him.

"You never told me you were All Might's successor," She frowned, looking a bit hurt.

Izuku felt a pang in his chest. "O-oh, well, it's because I'm not. I'm just a personal student of his."

Momo's frown lessened. "Oh, that makes sense."

Izuku sighed in relief before taking his phone and texting something.

Momo's brows furrowed as she felt her phone go off. She took it out of her bag and raised an eyebrow at the message.

"It's part of that thing I said I would tell you about later," It said. "I promise I'll let you know; I don't like keeping secrets, especially from you, but I can't tell you right now. Please, just trust me for a little longer?"

Momo leaned down, putting the phone back in her bag. Sitting up, she squeezed Izuku's hand tightly, showing she understood.

"Wait, you're All Might's student?" Uraraka asked excitedly. "Is that why you have lunch with him sometimes?"

Izuku nodded. "He gives me tips to help control my Quirk since it still hurts me at higher outputs."

"Do you know what the maximum output is, Midoriya?" Iida asked, speaking for the first time in several minutes.

Izuku thought. "I haven't put a number to it, but it can destroy one of those zero-point robots, so it can probably level a medium-sized building."

He could probably level UA if he tried hard enough, but his use of One for All was still highly inefficient compared to All Might's.

The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch, and the group stood to head back to class.

Izuku and Momo stood, not realizing their hands were still linked together, until Momo reached down to get her bag.

They let go with a blush, and Momo stood, slinging her bag over her shoulder. Neither mentioned what happened; they were unsure how to say it even if they tried.

'Incoming crazy blonde,' Marvin commented. 'And I'm not talking about Bakugo or Aoyama.'

Izuku glanced over, seeing Monoma walk over to him, though he didn't recognize the boy by name.

"Well, well, well," Monoma said. "What do we have here? Two 1-A student's out in the wild?"

"Is there something you need?" Momo asked, raising an eyebrow. Her back was straight, pushing herself to her full, slightly intimidating height.

Monoma's smile faltered for a second. "Just passing by. Wouldn't want to catch anything you 1-Aer's have."

"Like skill?" Izuku asked.

Monoma scoffed. "Skill? Don't make me laugh. You 1-Aer's just have fancy Quirks and an overblown ego."

"Better than whatever you have," Marvin muttered. "I'm pretty sure I'm losing brain cells listening to you."

Monoma laughed maniacally. "ME? Stupid? HAH! Class A students are so full of yourselves; it's hilariou-"

Monoma slumped forward, being caught by an orange-haired girl with a sigh.

"I'm so sorry about him," Kendo said. "He gets like that sometimes."

Izuku blinked. "Oh, you're Itsuka Kendo. You did terrific in the Sports Festival. Your Quirk is incredible."

Kendo looked confused at the recognition. "Thank you, but I think I should be saying that to you and Yaoyorozu. Your fight was awe-inspiring."

Momo shrugged. "We tried our best, but he wouldn't go down," She said, nudging Izuku with her elbow.

"Know how it feels," Kendo sighed, gesturing to Monoma. "He won't stop about how you guys are supposed to be rivals with us. I think he likes some of you and is acting like a tsundere."

Momo smiled at her, liking Kendo's personality already, while Izuku switched control with Marvin.

"Oh, I forgot to say," Marvin said, and the two girls turned to him. "I'm pretty sure both of you got internship offers from Uwabami. Don't take them unless you want to be modeling for the whole week."

Momo and Kendo wrinkled their noses, neither particularly liking the idea of being some modeling puppet. Coming from a wealthy family, Momo had too much of that, and Kendo found the idea boring and a tad appalling.

"Wait, how do you know this?" Kendo asked. "We just got them."

Marvin shrugged. "I know a lot of people and study a lot of them. Uwabami is known for picking girls, particularly highly attractive ones, for her modeling business, though she acts like it's a hero agency. I studied it a few days ago."

None of what he said had technically been a lie since Uwabami had a reputation for beauty-seeking, and Izuku had searched up hero agencies before the Festival.

"So you're saying we're beautiful?" Kendo asked, raising an eyebrow as Momo did the same.

Whereas Izuku would get flustered, Marvin just rolled his eyes.

"I have a working set of eyes, so yes," He replied.

The two girls flushed, Kendo more than Momo since she wasn't used to his bluntness.

Kendo shook it off, her blush fading remarkably fast. "Thank you, but I need to get this guy back to class before he starts fighting again," She sighed, holding up Monoma with one hand.

'Don't know whether to fear she can pick me up one-handed or respect it,' Marvin murmured.

Kendo flashed him a smile. "A bit of both," She said.

She walked away after saying goodbye, dragging Monoma behind her like the blond boy was a rag doll.

"I like her," Momo nodded after Kendo left.

Izuku stared at her, and Momo flushed a little.

"Not in that way," She hissed, smacking his shoulder.

Izuku laughed. "I didn't say anything," he raised his hands in surrender.

Momo rolled her eyes. "Silence says a lot more than words."

The two walked out of the cafeteria, with Marvin glancing around from inside Izuku's head as Izuku and Momo talked.

'Hey, Marvin. What's wrong?' Izuku asked.

Marvin looked almost anxious. 'I don't fucking know. But I don't like it. There's something off, but I can't tell what it is.'

Izuku frowned, glancing around while continuing his conversation with Momo.

"Are you looking for something, Izuku?" Momo asked as Izuku's head swiveled.

"Not really," Izuku replied. "But I just feel weird."

Momo's brows furrowed, and she looked around. "I can't see anything."

'What do you even feel?' Izuku asked.

'I'm not sure, but I get the feeling that something SHOULD be here but ISN'T,' Marvin replied. 'Is there something in the manga that didn't happen here? I'm going to check; keep an eye out.'

The rest of the day passed without incident, and even though Izuku was constantly checking his surroundings, there was nothing.

'I found it,' Marvin said at the end of the day as they began to leave.

'What is it?' Izuku asked, becoming alert.

'In the manga, you got an offer from Gran Torino, All Might's mentor,' Marvin said. 'All Might gave it to you personally, shaking from fear. Here, no offer has been sent.'

'We haven't even seen All Might today,' Izuku replied. 'In either form.'

He hugged Momo tightly before he left, and both held on for several seconds.

"Did you find out what was bothering you, Izuku?" Momo asked.

Izuku smiled and nodded. "I just forgot some things, but I remembered them now. Thanks, Momo."

Momo smiled and hugged him again. "It's good you remembered. Oh, and I did get an offer from Uwabami; you were right."

"Are you going to take it?" Izuku asked.

Momo wrinkled her nose. "No, thank you. I'd rather spend my internship doing something useful."

Izuku grinned. "I know whatever you pick will be amazing."

Momo smiled and thanked him, hugging him again before walking off.

'You got an offer from Nighteye's agency,' Marvin said in confusion, looking through Izuku's memories of his offers since it was faster than Izuku checking them himself.

Izuku choked. 'Sir Nighteye?! He was All Might's sidekick during All Might's Golden Era! I HAVE to pick that one!'

Marvin frowned. 'It's odd. During the manga, he only appeared way after your final exams. It was in the second semester, in the fall, I think, that you met him. I wonder what changed.'

'Well, our control of One for All is much better, and we unlocked a new ability,' Izuku pointed out. 'If Sir was All Might's sidekick, he might know about One for All and would be able to teach us. Maybe he's curious about us?'

'About YOU, you mean,' Marvin replied. 'No one else knows I exist.'

'You still help me a lot,' Izuku told him as they boarded the train.

Marvin sighed. 'You still haven't told Momo about One for All, and you said you would.'

Izuku took a deep breath. 'If I did, I'd need to explain how I can handle it so well and have to tell her about you.'

Marvin shrugged. 'And? SOMEONE will find out eventually, especially if we keep trying to share control.'

He and Izuku had tried to share control as they had during the Sports Festival when they confronted Bakugo, but only managed to hold it for a few seconds and couldn't use One for All in any way that didn't immediately break them.

It was like trying to mix oil and water or trying to push two positive magnets together. The attempts shot one of them out of control, usually Marvin, and left both heavily exhausted.

'I just don't know how to explain it,' Izuku sighed. 'How do I explain I have someone from another time and dimension living in my head who can take over and make me stronger without sounding like a lunatic?'

'Well, I have to continuously mimic your habits, so I can stop doing that, and we can switch,' Marvin suggested. 'The drastic behavior change might show that we're two different people. I also know things I shouldn't because of the manga, so "predicting" something for the future could prove it more.'

'Predict what, though? There's nothing we could know that can come true soon,' Izuku replied.

'True, I'm not sure,' Marvin frowned. 'It might not work then.'

The two continued the small argument for the rest of the day, with Marvin convincing Izuku to tell Momo, but neither was sure when to do it. They had internships for the week and would be busy alongside the rest of their classmates, leaving them no time to tell her. They only agreed she would know before their final exams but had nothing else.

'We probably shouldn't tell her before the internships,' Marvin said the following day. 'It might distract her and lead to injury.'

Izuku nodded. 'These internships are serious; we can't distract her with that. Maybe after they're over?'

Marvin shrugged. 'I'm ok with that, but we can't just go up to her and say it, especially since I'm not going to try and hide. If there are more people, it might lead to something bad.'

Before they knew it, they were in their Hero costume, with Marvin studying it in amusement and slight annoyance.

'I feel like a child cosplaying,' He muttered, pulling at the gloves.

The Hero costume was Izuku's Beta costume, but the gloves were tight-fitting and more grey than white, and his classic red shoes were replaced with knee-high steel-toed boots, similar to his Gama costume, but with a dark blue color.

'I like it,' Izuku said. 'They resized it to be comfortable AND practical.'

Marvin's brows furrowed. 'Why does comfort matter?'

Izuku blinked. 'Well, if you aren't comfortable, you can't fight at your best.'

Marvin's response died as a memory overwhelmed him.

He was somewhere, but he couldn't remember the name. It was a forest covered in light snow, its trees cold and dead from the harsh winter.

Rinai reached over, adjusting his hood to cover him more.

"What are you doing?" Marvin asked, tensing a little.

"Relax," Rinai told him. "Your cloak looks uncomfortable, so I'm moving it a little."

Marvin rolled his eyes and pulled up his hood. "Since when do we care about being comfortable?" He asked.

Rinai flicked his ear. "Because we're on the run," She replied. "We take what we can get."

"Oh, yes. That's what we'll tell the Hunters," Marvin bit. "I know you're trying to kill me, but I was uncomfortable."

He shifted his cloak again, revealing his left side while keeping his hood up.

Rinai sighed. "You're impossible, you know that?"

"Rather be impossible and alive than easy and dead," Marvin replied, resting his hand on the knife on his hip. One of many he carried.

He continued walking, ignoring the bitter cold with a snarl. Comfort was for those with luxuries, not him.

Rinai tightened her cloak and walked after him, shaking her head at her little brother's actions.

"How much longer?" Marvin asked, his eyes darting around.

"Three hours," Rinai replied as the wind grew stronger.

Marvin froze, his hand tightening on his knife as he felt someone nearby.

He leaped over to Rinai, tackling her out of the way as a bullet cracked through the air.

He jumped up, blood pouring out of his right arm, right below his elbow.

Marvin drew his knife, his aura flaring and freezing everyone but Rinai.

He walked slowly to where he heard the gun go off, testing his steps in case there were traps.

He came to a sniper, hidden under the snow, staring at him with wide eyes.

Marvin's knife whistled, and the snow around him turned red as the man's eyes turned empty.

"How'd you find him?" Rinai asked, doing the same to another person nearby.

"I don't get comfortable," Marvin replied, putting his knife away.

Marvin sighed as he opened his eyes, feeling drained even though he'd slept properly for the first time in months.

'You ok?' Izuku asked.

'Been better,' Marvin groaned. 'Where are we heading?'

'Sir Nighteye's agency,' Izuku replied. 'I'm nervous.'

'Good, that means it's worth it,' Marvin said.

'Wait, how would his Quirk work if he used it on us?' Izuku asked.

Marvin shrugged. 'Maybe it'll show who's in control, or both of us or maybe neither. Who knows?'

They reached Nighteye's agency, and Marvin raised an eyebrow at the conflicting auras in the building. It was as serious as a hero agency should be, but Marvin could hear laughter from inside.

Izuku walked in, and Marvin tensed.

He took control, spinning on a dime and charging One for All as he sensed someone behind him who hadn't been there before.

Mirio appeared from the wall, dressed in his Hero costume with a wide smile.

"Wow, you're fast," He commented. "I was planning on scaring you a little, but you're faster than I thought."

Marvin raised an eyebrow. "I feel so reassured," He drawled, rolling his eyes.

Mirio grinned. "You must be Midoriya, right? I saw you at the Sports Festival. You did pretty amazing stuff."

"You're Mirio Togata," Izuku said, his eyes widening. "You were the guy who phased out of clothes during the Festival last year."

Mirio rubbed his neck in embarrassment. "Yeah, I couldn't control my Quirk much back then. Sir's been very helpful."

They walked to Nighteye's office, and Marvin raised an eyebrow at the immense amount of All Might merchandise in the room.

Nighteye walked over to them, fixing Izuku with a slight glare.

"Wow, it's like stepping into an angry mirror," Marvin said loudly in fake awe. "All it needs now is some All Might merch."

Mirio snorted loudly, and for a second, Marvin thought he saw the barest hint of a smile from Nighteye.

"You must be Midoriya," Nighteye said.

"I'm the muffin man, actually," Marvin quipped, getting another snort from Mirio.

Marvin bowed a little. "Nice to meet you. Can you tell me where the ice cream stand is?" He asked childishly.

Mirio was turned away, trying to hide his laughter while Nighteye's lips twitched in amusement.

"I think you'll do," Nighteye nodded.

"Oh, good. I was running out of jokes," Marvin sighed dramatically, clutching his chest and slumping forward slightly.

Mirio managed to control himself, turning back and smiling at Nighteye.

"Follow me to my office," Nighteye said before turning to Mirio. "Lemillion, please check up on Bubble Girl."

Mirio nodded, disappearing through the floor with a cheerful wave.

"That is way too creepy," Marvin muttered as he felt Mirio drop from his senses.

He followed Nighteye to the man's office, letting Izuku take control, still feeling weird at how Mirio just dropped in and out of his senses.

They reached the door, and Nighteye ushered Izuku in, placing a hand on his shoulder as he followed Izuku.

Nighteye stepped over to his desk, organized some papers, and left Izuku beside the doorway.

"Your control of One for All is impressive," Nighteye began. "Much better than I anticipated from someone like you."

Izuku tensed slightly. "What do you mean, Sir?"

Nighteye turned to him. "Before All Might met you, he came to me to ask for my assistance to look for a successor. I suggested Lemillion, but he ignored me and chose you instead."

Izuku nodded. "He said I had the true heart of a hero."

"Heart doesn't get you everywhere," Nighteye replied, taking something from his desk.

"You made an impressive showing in the Sports Festival," He said. "But if you can only perform flashy attacks with no skill, you are about as good as worthless in a life-or-death situation."

Nighteye held up a seal. "I want you to use One for All to take this from me within three minutes. If you can't, you'll continue your internship doing paperwork."

Izuku did a double take. "What?"

"Time started ten seconds ago," Nighteye told him, activating his Quirk.

Izuku activated One for All and leaped at Nighteye, planning to snatch it away before the man could react.

Nighteye stepped away, letting Izuku fly past him.

Izuku hit the wall and turned, jumping back.

Nighteye twisted as he stepped forward, causing Izuku to fly past again.

Izuku rolled forward, jumping up and kicking off the ceiling.

Nighteye stepped to the left, not showing any reaction.

Izuku leaped at Nighteye, only for the older man to lean to the side.

Izuku rolled to a stop, standing up and trying to think of a plan.

'Let me try; maybe we can catch him off guard?' Marvin asked, and Izuku nodded.

Marvin took control, and Nighteye's widened as his vision of Izuku's future suddenly disappeared.

Marvin jumped forward, and Nighteye jumped to the side, his face concerned.

Marvin twisted mid-air, kicking before he reached the wall to slow down.

He pushed off, rushing Nighteye and snatching the seal just seconds before the timer went off.

Izuku retook control, and Nighteye's eyes narrowed.

"You blocked my Quirk," He said with suspicion. "How?"

Izuku shrugged as he stood. "I stopped controlling myself and just moved."

Nighteye knew it wasn't as simple as that; his Quirk couldn't be fooled by something so straightforward.

It wasn't even that Izuku's future ended like it would with someone's death. Instead, his Quirk simply stopped working for a few seconds, as if the person staring at him wasn't Izuku Midoriya.

But it couldn't be that; he could see Izuku's future initially, and it showed Izuku failing to acquire the seal before it cut out.

His Quirk was back now, showing the future of Izuku handing him the seal and him approving his internship, but for those few seconds, it had been as if he'd never activated his Quirk in the first place.

Izuku handed him the seal, and Nighteye put it on his desk.

"Well, Midoriya, I think I should say welcome to your internship," Nighteye smiled a little.

"Thank you, Sir," Izuku bowed a little.

"I won't be able to call you Midoriya in public, so what's your Hero Name?" Nighteye asked.

Izuku grinned. His Hero name had been something he'd made as an inside joke with Marvin, and he was proud of it.

"Duality."

Author's Note: I wanted to release this chapter before we hit 4k views, but it's been a day, and we've passed six thousand. Thank you, guys, for that since it's much more than I thought we'd get.

I hope you guys like Izuku's Hero name; I tried to write the scene where they pick out their names, but it was so dreadfully dull I was falling asleep while writing it!

I picked Duality since Momo, Todoroki, and a few others have commented that Izuku is like two people, especially in combat. So I thought it'd be easier for Izuku to hide that he has Marvin by making his Hero name point out he's different while fighting. I also wanted Izuku to fully step away from Deku since he has such a volatile reaction to being called it; it wouldn't make sense to be his Hero name.

To address some concerns: Marvin will eventually lose the ability to control Izuku fully. I won't say how, but he will. Also, Momo will eventually learn about OFA and Marvin, but not before the Stain fight. Uraraka, Iida, and Todoroki will learn much later.
