"I think Sir likes you," Mirio said, hands behind his head as they walked.
They were on patrol; Nighteye was with Bubble Girl, while Izuku was with Mirio.
"He tested me," Izuku rubbed the back of his head. "I'm glad I passed."
"Are you kidding me?" Mirio asked, punching him in the shoulder. "He'd be crazy not to take you on!"
Izuku smiled at the older student; Mirio's happiness was almost infectious.
"So, Duality, huh?" Mirio asked. "Where'd you get the inspiration for that?"
"Oh, my friends always tell me I'm a different person when I fight, so I leaned into that," Izuku replied, grinning. "What about you?"
"I chose Lemillion because I want to save one million people as a hero!" Mirio declared, pointing to the number on his chest with a smile.
Izuku blinked. "Wow, that's a big goal, Lemillion. Aren't you nervous with that big pressure over your head?"
Mirio laughed. "That's why I picked it! You're not aiming high enough if a goal doesn't make you a bit nervous."
They froze as they heard a scream. The two heroes shared a glance and nodded, running towards the noise.
Marvin took over, One for All surging them forward as Mirio dropped into the ground.
'I still hate that he can do that,' Marvin muttered as they entered the street.
Mirio shot up as Marvin jumped in, and both froze.
A Nomu like the one Marvin had scared from the USJ was ripping through cars like tissue paper.
Marvin shot forward, Full Cowling at 15%, as he saved a woman from getting crushed.
He moved the woman out of the way before leaping towards the Nomu.
His kick landed directly on its jaw, sending the Nomu flying.
Mirio shot from the ground, kicking the Nomu in the spine before phasing through it.
The Nomu landed heavily but got up a second later, roaring at them.
Marvin winced at the sound but steeled himself; he couldn't hesitate now.
He shot forward with Mirio, slamming into the Nomu's chest feet-first as Mirio hit it in the face.
Marvin bounced off, kicking the air and shooting back toward it.
His elbow landed on Nomu's throat, and he twisted, following up with a knee to the temple.
Nomu grabbed him, throwing Marvin back with a monstrous roar.
"Shut UP," Marvin yelled, his aura ripping through the air.
The Nomu froze briefly, and Marvin kicked it in the head.
Nomu turned, running towards a civilian instead of fighting.
Marvin saw red and Blackwhip ripped from his back.
He grabbed Nomu by the limbs, yanking it back.
He kicked it in the spine, twisted his foot, and kicked it in the back of the head.
Marvin jumped off, dragging Nomu through the air away from the woman.
Mirio appeared, grabbing the woman and carrying her away.
"Keep it occupied, Duality," Mirio yelled. "There are still civilians."
Marvin slammed Nomu on the ground with Blackwhip. "I have your back, Lemillion."
Nomu screeched loudly, and Marvin winced, covering his ears.
Nomu threw him off, and Marvin crashed into a car, thankfully empty.
Marvin got up and rushed the Nomu, punching it in the mouth.
His aura flashed, and Nomu froze in fear.
Marvin leaped into the air before attaching Blackwhip to the ground.
He yanked himself down, kicking the Nomu in its exposed brain.
The Nomu's skull blew out, and its body fell forward, dead.
Marvin landed, breathing heavily as the Nomu regenerated, but it didn't stand or move; whatever drove it was dead.
Blackwhip retreated into his back, and Marvin hissed as it burned his skin.
Mirio appeared, having rescued the last of the trapped civilians.
"Woah, you are different when you fight," He exclaimed. "That was so cool!"
Izuku took control. "Thanks," He said. "I didn't want to kill it, but it would've hurt more people if I didn't."
"I wonder what this is," Mirio muttered, hand on his chin. "I've never seen it before."
"Something like that attacked us at the USJ," Izuku pointed. "But it was much stronger than this one. At least, I think so."
Mirio frowned, his brows knit together. "We need to tell Sir about this; maybe he knows where these came from."
The police came, chaining the Nomu and taking it away.
Mirio shielded Izuku from being charged with using his Quirk without a license, telling the police he did it, and even though the officer didn't seem to believe him, there were no witnesses nearby they could ask.
After they left, he and Izuku ran back to Nighteye's agency, thankfully not coming across any more Nomu.
They burst into Nighteye's office, coming across a Bubble Girl with bandages on her arm.
"You guys got them too?" She asked.
"If you mean those freaky things with beaks and exposed brains, then yes," Mirio replied. "Where's Sir?"
"Right here, Mirio," Nighteye said, appearing to their left.
He looked unharmed, but Marvin could see the strain in his eyes. Nighteye had most likely used his Quirk to fight since Bubble Girl's Quirk didn't seem suitable for combat.
"You encountered those creatures?" Nighteye asked.
Mirio nodded. "One attacked us when Duality and I were patrolling. It was attacking civilians, Sir."
"It also seemed intent on hurting them," Izuku added. "When I hit it, when it realized it was losing, it turned and ran towards a woman to attack her and completely ignored me."
Nighteye looked thoughtful. "If that is the case, this must be a coordinated attack. Several creatures appeared randomly, looking similar to each other if Mirio's description is correct, and intent on hurting civilians while ignoring any losing battles."
"It's like they were made to kill as many as possible," Mirio added. "To cause terror."
"Maybe to damage heroes' reputation," Nighteye said. "There's no other explanation."
"Sir?" Izuku said, and Nighteye turned to him.
"I fought those once at the USJ," Izuku told him. "They're called Nomu and were with the League of Villains. One of them attacked me and my friends, while another nearly killed Aizawa Sensei."
"So they're part of a group," Nighteye murmured. "That could mean there's more of them."
"A MESSAGE IS HERE," Izuku's phone went off.
Nighteye gave him a look. "The All Might ringtone to celebrate his tenth year as the Number One Hero. I have the first year one."
Izuku gave Nighteye a look of envy as he pulled out his phone, but his brows furrowed as he read the message.
"Creatures. USJ. Two of them, stronger," The message was from Momo, along with a location. "North Osaka. Help."
"There's more," Izuku told Nighteye. "My friend's in danger."
He walked towards the door; he didn't care if he didn't have a license yet; he wouldn't let Momo get hurt.
"Midoriya," Nighteye said. "You're not going alone. Mirio, go with him."
"YES, SIR," Mirio exclaimed, rushing after Izuku, who was already well out of the door.
Izuku activated One for All, rushing towards where Momo said she was. He pushed himself to move faster, wishing he could control more than 15%.
Marvin took control, but only partially. They both wanted to help.
One for All increased to 30%, and they shot forward, Blackwhip pulling them faster as it reacted to their emotions.
Izuku reached Momo's location, seeing her fight off a Nomu while protecting a young child.
He quickly moved the child out of the way, ensuring they were safe before leaping at the Nomu.
Momo blinked as a green missile slammed into the Nomu she was fighting, sending it flying across the street.
"Izuku," She sighed in relief, dropping the heavily dented staff she'd been using.
"Hey, Momo. Where's the other one?" Izuku asked, looking around.
"Battle Fist was holding it off the last thing I saw," Momo replied, but Izuku looked at her in confusion.
The Nomu roared, and Izuku's body tensed as Marvin winced.
He shot into the Nomu, using Blackwhip to avoid its punches.
"WHO'S BATTLE FIST?" He yelled, his voice a mix of his and Marvin's.
"KENDO," Momo yelled back as they began fighting.
Izuku swept through the Nomu's legs, using Blackwhip to pull it off-balance.
Momo stabbed it in the leg with a sword before blinding it with a flashbang.
Izuku jumped, punching it in the head but getting no reaction.
The Nomu roared, and Izuku could see a brain in its mouth through his winced pain.
He jumped back, avoiding being gutted by hairs.
"CREATI," He yelled, his voice two. "Can you make an explosive?"
"Any, ugh, size requests?" She asked, parrying a blow with her staff.
Izuku slammed into the Nomu's chest feet-first, throwing it back.
"Big enough to hurt," He yelled, launching himself using Blackwhip.
Izuku occupied the Nomu, keeping up with its strikes with a liberal use of Marvin's aura.
Momo palmed the C4 charge she'd made, unsure what Izuku wanted to do.
Izuku jumped back, landing beside her and sliding back slightly from the momentum.
Momo handed him the explosive. "I don't know what that'd do against it, but here you go."
Izuku leaped forward, weaving through the Nomu's arms and punching it in the jaw.
The Nomu screeched, and Izuku winced violently.
He shoved the C4 charge down its throat, jumping back and closing its mouth with Blackwhip.
"NOW," He yelled, and Momo activated it.
There was a soft boom, and smoke escaped Nomu's eyes, ears, and nostrils. Izuku expected it to come out its mouth if it weren't for Blackwhip.
The Nomu slumped forward, staring vacantly as it collapsed. It crashed against the pavement face-down and stayed there, unmoving.
Izuku retracted Blackwhip, stumbling a little as Marvin was launched from control.
He held his head, feeling his vision go hazy from such an extended use of his Quirk. His arms and back burned like hellfire, and red splotches marked where Blackwhip had ripped from his body.
Momo caught him before he fell, holding him up with a grunt.
"Izuku? Izuku, are you ok?" She asked, leaning into him as she held him up.
He groaned softly. "We won," He smiled.
Momo smiled back. "Yes, we did. Against one at least."
Izuku stood, ignoring the pain in his body. "Come on; we need to help Kendo."
"Are you sure you can still fight?" She asked, concerned for his health. She didn't want him to damage his Quirk.
"Of course, I can," He grinned. "A hero always gets back up."
Momo smiled as they ran to where she'd last seen Kendo. Izuku might be stubborn, but his tenacity to help people made her love him more. Hopefully, she could tell him that soon.
They reached Kendo, seeing her slumped against a light pole, holding her side, a dog-like Nomu lying mangled a few feet away.
"Ke- Battle Fist," Momo yelled, running faster toward the girl.
Kendo turned, smiling as she saw Momo run up. "Hey, Creati. Beat yours too?"
"Izuku helped me," Momo replied as he reached them.
"Duality, you shouldn't run off so fast," Mirio said, appearing from the ground. "You could've gotten hurt."
Kendo turned to Izuku in confusion. "You know him?" She asked, pointing the hand that wasn't holding her side at Mirio.
Izuku nodded. "He work-studies at the agency I chose to intern at."
Mirio grinned. "Hi, I'm Lemillion," He greeted Momo. "Hero in training."
"Creati," Momo replied before turning to Kendo. "Where's Ryukyu?"
Ryukyu, the Dragon Hero, crashed down in her dragon form moments later.
She returned to her human form, brushing some dust off her shoulder.
"No one else?" Kendo asked, and Ryukyu shook her head.
"I checked everywhere, but those two seem to be the only ones," Ryukyu said. "Good job, you two. You did well."
Momo and Kendo smiled brightly at the praise before Ryukyu turned to Mirio.
"Nighteye, right?" She asked, and Mirio nodded. "I'm assuming he's with you?"
"I-I'm Duality, Ryukyu ma'am," Izuku stammered, his eyes wide. "I'm a big fan."
Momo snorted a little. "That's an understatement if I've ever heard one," She muttered.
"Oh my god, this is amazing; I wish I had my journals," Izuku began fanboying. "You're the ninth-ranked Hero; you're so amazing. I- I remember when you held up that falling building by yourself during a villain attack. And- and- and you saved that bus full of kids. And-"
Momo put a hand over his mouth. "Izuku, I don't think this is the time to begin fanboying," She whispered in his ear.
Izuku flushed, but Ryukyu just looked amused.
"You sure know your stuff, don't you, kid?" She asked, and Izuku nodded mutely. "Glad to know I have a serious fan. All Might leaves none for us," She grinned.
"Oh, don't get him started," Momo told the Hero, removing her hand. "He's the biggest All Might fan I've ever heard of. He could tell you things you'd never think about as pieces of trivia."
"I don't know," Mirio said. "Sir's a pretty big fan too. He might be competition."
"He has the tenth-anniversary limited edition All Might poster that was never released to the public," Izuku told them, nearly vibrating in excitement. "I want it."
Kendo blinked. "Wow, Creati wasn't wrong. I didn't even know something like that existed."
"That's Izuku for you," Momo smiled, turning. "I wouldn't be surprised if he knew the size of All Might's crowfeet by heart."
".8 centimeters," Izuku and Mirio replied immediately. They turned to each other, clearly surprised.
"Ok, I get Izuku knowing that, but how do you know that?" Momo asked, pointing at Mirio.
Mirio rubbed his hair. "Sir's told us more times than I can remember. I have random bits of trivia up here."
"Ok, that's all amazing," Ryukyu exclaimed. "A tad weird, but not my place. We still have to figure out why these creatures are here."
"Nomu," Izuku said. "They're from the League of Villians. We fought one earlier, similar to the one from the USJ."
"Which one?" Momo asked, brows furrowed. "There were two."
"The one that attacked Aizawa Sensei," Izuku replied. "But it seemed more interested in civilians than us."
"Sir and Bubble Girl were attacked, too," Mirio added.
Ryukyu held her head as she thought. "That makes at minimum four of these, all near the same time frame. There's approximately zero chance that was a coincidence."
"I wonder if the others got attacked," Izuku thought. "Or if it was just this area. If it was, what for?"
"You said the League of Villains were behind this?" Ryukyu asked, and Izuku nodded.
"That's bad. They've been making rounds on the air," She said. "Rumor is the Hero Killer joined them."
Izuku paled. "Iida," He whispered.
"He wouldn't," Momo said, not quite believing herself.
"The Hero Killer hunts in low-populated areas," Izuku reminded her. "He was last seen near Hosu, and Iida has his internship there."
"Your friend's going after the Hero Killer?" Ryukyu exclaimed. "He's going to get himself killed!"
Izuku and Momo shared a look, and Ryukyu's eyes narrowed.
"You two are NOT about to look for the Hero Killer," She stated.
"Our friend may be in danger," Izuku countered. "You just said he'd die!"
"That doesn't mean you should follow him," Ryukyu hissed. "You'll die too."
Marvin took over and gave her a look. "Trust me, way too many people have tried."
Everyone else did a double take; Ryukyu was staring at him with mixed emotions while Momo gave him a look of sad understanding. Kendo and Mirio just looked concerned.
"I have to help," Izuku said. "I couldn't live with myself if I let someone die because I was too scared to act. That's not what a hero is."
Ryukyu stared at him and sighed. "When Creati said you were All Might's student, she wasn't lying."
Izuku did a double take while Momo stared firmly at the floor, her face pink.
Kendo grinned. "You're surprised? Yaoyorozu here wouldn't stop talking about you for over half an hour!"
Izuku flushed a little and turned to Momo, whose face now resembled a tomato.
"Ah, young love," Mirio grinned.
Momo and Izuku's head snapped over to him. "WE'RE NOT DATING!" They exclaimed simultaneously, faces red.
"Who said anything about dating?" Mirio asked. "I said you were in love. There's a difference."
Momo's blush extended to her chest, and she fanned her face a little, ignoring Kendo's grin while she turned to Ryukyu.
"We still need to find our friend," She said, her voice surprisingly stable given how it looked like all of her blood had centered itself on her face. "There might be more Nomu here."
Ryukyu decided to ignore Momo's blush and nodded. "You're right, Creati. We need to alert the police as well. They might have more information about these Nomu."
"I doubt it," Izuku said. "The only Nomu captured attacked me, Momo, and another friend at the USJ. I managed to scare it into submission, and it acted like a dog after, according to what I heard."
Ryukyu frowned. "You couldn't do that with these?" She asked, gesturing to the dead Nomu.
Izuku shook his head. "No. These seem to react differently. The one that attacked Aizawa Sensei just ran away from me and screamed, but these are different, almost as if they're built to resist fear."
"That's... concerning," Ryukyu replied. "You said built?"
Izuku nodded. "There was a villain at the USJ; I think his name was Shigaraki; he said the Nomu was created to defeat All Might."
"So they're made," Ryukyu murmured. "They might be the grunts of the League of Villains, seeing as they weren't that difficult to fight."
"So what now?" Momo asked.
"We tell the police," Ryukyu replied. "It'll start a lookout. We'll also investigate the Hero Killer; maybe he'll give us some clues."
Mirio turned to Izuku. "We need to get back to Sir. He would want to know about this."
Izuku nodded. "Right. Maybe he can use his Quirk to tell us more."
Mirio felt his phone ping and frowned. Everyone who had his number knew not to text him during his work-study.
He pulled his phone out and immediately paled at the text.
"Lemillion? What is it?" Izuku asked.
Mirio turned to Ryukyu. "Nejire's getting attacked by one of these."
"Let's go," Ryukyu said, activating her Quirk.
Kendo and Momo got on Ryukyu's back, followed by Mirio, while Izuku activated One for All.
"Duality, come on," Mirio said, ushering him on.
"I can get there faster," Izuku replied. "Where is it?"
"South Kioto," Mirio replied. "Fifteen minutes from here."
Izuku nodded and took off, pushing his limit of One for All to get there as fast as he could.
He shot his wrist out to use Blackwhip, but nothing happened, not even a slight tingle.
'Why can't I use it?' Izuku asked as he leaped from building to building. 'We were using it so well before.'
'We've only used it while sharing control,' Marvin reminded him. 'Maybe it's a power thing?'
'Well, can we share control now?' Izuku asked frantically.
Marvin tried to join, and Izuku sped up a little, One for All bumping to 20%.
He was launched back a second later, leaving Izuku as the sole controller again.
'Why could we share control when we were fighting?' Izuku asked as he slowed down again.
'Maybe we can't force it? Like it's similar to a flow state or something,' Marvin suggested. 'We were fighting every time.'
Izuku thought hard, trying to find some explanation for why they could share control seamlessly sometimes and not at all others.
'That's it,' He exclaimed after a minute. 'Maybe we can only share control when we have the same goal?'
Marvin shrugged. 'How about our goal becomes getting there as fast as possible?'
Izuku paused as they tried to share control, feeling pain shoot through his body.
He sped off after a few seconds, moving at 30% but feeling his bones scream in pain.
'It's working,' Marvin gritted out.
Blackwhip shot out of their wrists, attaching to a faraway rooftop.
Izuku pulled and was launched forward faster than he'd ever gone, soaring past buildings with ease.
He did it again, pulling harder and being launched faster.
'Incoming blue girl at 230,' Marvin said.
Izuku turned just as Nejire crashed into him, barely managing to catch the girl.
He turned mid-air, and Blackwhip shot out, attaching to a roof and stopping him from landing on the sidewalk.
Izuku landed with a slight hiss, feeling his body creak and groan from the pain.
Nejire stumbled a little as they landed before turning to him curiously.
"Oh, are you a hero?" She asked. "That's weird; I've never seen you before. Are you new? I like your costume."
"Internship," Izuku replied. "I'm with Lemillion."
"Mirio?" Nejire looked around. "Where is he?"
"He's coming with Ryukyu, along with Creati and Battle Fist," Izuku said.
Nejire gasped a little. "You must be Midoriya," She said, leaning in. "I've heard about you."
Izuku winced as someone screamed. "I think we should check that out."
Nejire nodded, her curiosity washing away to a serious look.
The two rushed towards the scream, Izuku trying to ignore the growing pain in his body.
He saw a Nomu like the one that'd attacked Momo at the USJ running towards a family of three and saw red.
Izuku launched himself down with Blackwhip, landing on the Nomu's head feet-first.
He jumped off, landing in front of the Nomu before rushing it.
He punched it in the jaw, sending it flying back before jumping after it and kicking it in its exposed stomach.
Izuku jumped back as Nejire blasted the Nomu with an attack that dug it into the ground.
"Incoming," She yelled, and Izuku barely jumped back from a muscular Nomu's claws.
Izuku launched forward, binding Nomu's arms with Blackwhip and kicking it in the jaw.
He leaped into the air, pulling the Nomu towards himself and axe-kicking it in the skull.
Izuku jumped back as the Nomu stood slowly, screeching loudly.
He winced, barely blocking the Nomu's arm before it cut his face open.
The Nomu screeched in his face, and Izuku screamed in pain, his body spasming.
He was saved by Nejire blasting it away, sending it crashing into a building.
"Are you alright?" She asked, helping him up.
Izuku's ears were bleeding and ringing, his vision was blurry and filled with dark spots, and every fiber of his body groaned in pain.
"I'm fine," He said with a nod. He shook off his pain; people still needed help.
The Nomu burst out of the building, screeching loudly, but Izuku couldn't hear it.
His ears rang, but he felt like he was falling. Everything ceased, Nejire's movements slowed, and the Nomu's scream sounded like a distant echo.
One for All soared through his body, and the pain seemed like nothing more than a nuisance. He had more important things to worry about.
Izuku exploded forward faster than he thought possible, his body not even a blur anymore as he reached the Nomu.
His fist collided with its chest, and Izuku could momentarily see fear in its eyes.
Its upper body exploded violently, blasting back liters of blood in half a second.
Powerful winds ripped through the area, and Nejire covered her face as the winds picked up cars and threw them like paper balls.
Izuku was breathing heavily, One for All deactivating as he fell to his knees, his arm still outstretched.
There wasn't any pain, not any burning kinds anyway. It was more of a dull ache, like a full-body bruise, and his right arm trembled but wasn't broken.
He fell to the side, succumbing to exhaustion as his vision darkened.
Nejire caught him as he fell, holding him gingerly as Ryukyu landed beside her.
"Nejire?" She asked as her three riders got down.
"IZUKU," Momo yelled, jumping off Ryukyu and rushing toward Izuku with surprising speed.
"What happened?" She asked as she reached him, kneeling by his other side.
Nejire gestured to the dead Nomu. "He killed that thing. It strained him, and he passed out."
Izuku blinked, but he wasn't with Nejire and the others anymore.
He was in some dojo, or what was a dojo. It was now a wreck, black smoke rising from the smoldering ruins.
"Where am I?" He whispered, looking around.
"Memory," Marvin said, appearing beside him.
Izuku did a double take. "Wha- how are you here?"
Marvin shrugged. "Don't know. Don't question it much."
Izuku turned, seeing a group of monks fighting what seemed like soldiers. It would've been normal if it wasn't for the monks walking through the air while the soldiers tried to shoot them.
He watched how, even with their abilities, the monks began falling one by one; for every two soldiers that died, three or four monks were killed in return, and more soldiers poured into the area by the second.
"Who are they?" Izuku whispered, scared of the answer.
"My friends," Marvin replied, gesturing to a dead monk. "And the Hunters."
Izuku turned, doing a double take as he saw a younger Marvin, maybe only as tall as Tsu, fighting the soldiers by himself, dead monks at his feet.
Marvin punched through a Hunter's chest before throwing the corpse at another Hunter, jumping over a group of them and ripping through them.
He was the last one left, his beige robes stained with blood as he killed ruthlessly.
"The Shadow Massacre," Marvin whispered. "That's what we called it. They came from nowhere, somehow finding us even as we hid and killing us before we could properly fight back. I was the only person at the temple that day that survived."
Izuku blinked as time seemed to slow. The Hunters' movements were sluggish, and the bullets seemed to dig through the air. The wind stopped, and it felt like the world was made of clear, unmistakably clear, but unyielding glass.
Marvin rushed forward, his punches killing four at a time as he jumped around viciously, and Izuku wondered if Marvin did have a Quirk.
Izuku's breath felt strained like he was trying to breathe through a stuffed nose, and he knew instinctively that Marvin didn't have much time left with the ability.
The world shattered, and the wind roared, howling almost painfully as it blew. The bodies exploded, and now, it was impossible to tell where the blood of the students ended and where the blood of the Hunters began.
"When I get angry enough," Marvin said. "When I'm put in a situation where it's me or them, when I feel like there's no other option, I can increase my perception and movements. Time isn't affected, just my perception of it."
The younger Marvin killed the last Hunter before stumbling forward, crashing face-first into a pool of blood.
"But at the cost of my energy," Marvin continued. "If I'm not careful, it can kill me."
Izuku blinked, and he was falling again, the world around them fading into darkness.
Back in the real world, Momo and Nejire jumped as Izuku sat up, gasping for breath.
They couldn't move as Izuku jumped up, Balckwhip ripping out of his back with dozens of tendrils.
It shot out like lightning, latching onto everything nearby. Blackwhip grabbed buildings, cars, light posts, and even people.
Before Ryukyu or the students could use their Quirks to escape, Blackwhip shot back, letting them go and rushing into Izuku's back.
Blackwhip disappeared, leaving an angry red splotch on Izuku's exposed back, his hero costume shredded thanks to Blackwhip.
Izuku slumped forward, falling to his knees again, breathing heavily.
Momo rushed to him, putting her hand on his shoulder as she kneeled beside him.
"Hey," He whispered, his voice raspy.
Momo smiled a little. "Hey. Are you ok?"
Izuku nodded shakily. He couldn't activate One for All; he was too exhausted. His body groaned painfully, throbbing with each breath; at least his bones weren't broken.
"I'm exhausted," He told her, trying to stand but failing.
Momo slung his arm over her shoulder, helping him up as Izuku's legs shook.
"Are there any more?" Izuku asked as they turned to the group.
Nejire shook her head. "Those two were the last. The other three that attacked are dead."
"That makes nine of them," Mirio muttered. "This League of Villains is a serious threat if they can plan this much chaos."
"I doubt it's planned," Izuku said. "If it were, it wouldn't have attacked the area patrolled by two powerful hero agencies. It's much more likely that it's either a scare tactic or a test run."
Ryukyu nodded. "It might be, but it's still dangerous. These things can cause serious damage if they aren't taken care of."
"Then we have to tell the other agencies," Kendo told Ryukyu. "There might be more vulnerable areas."
"Hosu doesn't have a lot of heroes, and the Hero Killer is already taking out the ones that do work there," Izuku pointed out. "There's almost no other place that's better for a scare tactic."
Ryukyu sighed. "Why am I not surprised?" She muttered, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Fine," She declared. "We'll alert the heroes in Hosu, explain the situation, and be ready to give backup if needed."
"NOT you two," She continued, pointing to Momo and Izuku. "You don't have your licenses; you'll get in trouble."
Izuku stared at her. "Ryukyu, ma'am, no offense, but I'm going to help my friends if needed."
Ryukyu sighed. "Why can't you pick someone who listens occasionally, Nighteye?" She whispered, rubbing her face.
.
.
Author's Note: Ryukyu! Honestly, I loved her in canon, especially during the Shei Hissaiki raid. Her Quirk is so cool! She's definitely a powerhouse in canon, as well as a good fighter, so what better tutor for our two female badasses?
As you can see, things are beginning to change: Marvin and Izuku are *somewhat* able to work together but still have things to work out. Blackwhip is still uncontrollable for either of them, and there's a reason for it, and it's quite similar to canon.
The League of Villains is much more active, and Eri and Overhaul will be coming in much sooner than canon. But it won't go as you expect.
