.

"You said they lasted for two hours?" Nezu asked with a frown.

"Two hours, thirteen minutes, and 57 seconds," Marvin, now back in Izuku's body, replied.

"Hm, interesting," Nezu muttered, tapping a finger to his mouth. "Did you see any side effects?"

"I recovered more of my memories," Marvin said, running a hand through his hair. "I can name my mentor, my nickname from Rinai, and I know some more special attacks, but I'm still working through the rest."

"Fascinating," Nezu said. "You said your senses were improved from the first time?"

Marvin nodded. "Yeah. They weren't close to my birth form's senses, but I would say they were above average."

Nezu hummed for several seconds. The only difference between the first and second trials was that Marvin had absorbed energy from people during the first one and power from a generator during the second.

"Maybe the different power source increased my staying time?" Marvin suggested.

Nezu nodded. "Exactly my thought, Mister Mikrai. It's completely possible that drawing on something other than people for power would produce greater results, without the negative side effects."

Marvin sat straight. "So that might mean there's a way to put me permanently in the outside world!"

'No offense,' He told Izuku. 'But I kinda prefer my body better, ya know?'

'None taken,' Izuku replied. 'And if you manage to come into the real world, then we can be classmates!'

Marvin smiled as Nezu hummed.

"I'm unsure how much power would be needed to put you here permanently, Mister Mikrai," The principal admitted. "But assuming the energy requirements are linear if the 44kw generator at I-Island gave you that much time..."

Nezu trailed off, doing quick mental math as Marvin did the same.

"1.5 million watts would get you here for a week," Nezu stated half a second before Marvin finished his calculations.

"That's assuming the energy I expend here is constant throughout," Marvin noted.

Nezu nodded a little. "I am assuming the energy expended during your fights and Quirk usage would cancel the lower energy usage of rest and sleep."

"A few wind turbines could theoretically get me here for a week," Marvin pointed out.

"That would require the energy to be stored somewhere easily accessible for your absorption," Nezu replied. "I could create a hyper-powerful battery and several generators with ease, but we don't know the upper limits of your absorption."

Marvin frowned along with Nezu, though internally, the principal was almost giddy. Difficult puzzles were nigh impossible to find given his Quirk, and it'd been a while since he'd given his brain a good workout.

"So we'd need a massively powerful force of energy to be sent in the span of a few seconds so I can absorb it without causing damage to the area," Marvin muttered. "All Might could potentially produce enough energy with a few punches."

"Assuming the standard conversion is in place and a 100% absorption rate, of which I'm doubtful," Nezu said, pausing for a second. "Yes, one of Toshinori's punches would be able to get you here for several years, as a matter of fact."

"But I'd still be at 50% power," Marvin pointed out. "And my power grows exponentially once we pass the 60% mark. We're also assuming that I'd be able to absorb all the energy released, ignoring things like travel distance and the excess energy that would go into things like heat."

Nezu frowned. "Yes, you're right on both parts. I'll make a new pill for you that will theoretically push you to your full power. But, do you know how much your power increases, Mister Mikrai?"

Marvin thought for a bit, running numbers through his head so fast that Izuku felt himself getting a headache, especially since Marvin counted in the three languages he knew.

"The growth rate is an exponent of roughly 1.025," Marvin said after a minute. "Though, it applies for every percent we go up."

Nezu nodded, writing down some things and deciding to do the math later. It'd be a fun equation to solve over tea later.

"What are those papers?" Marvin asked, pointing to a massive stack of documents on Nezu's desk almost as tall as him.

Nezu smiled. "Increased security, Mister Mikrai. With the rise of villain attacks, even with Toshinori's presence, improving our security system is only logical."

"But don't you run everything yourself?" Marvin asked. "Why would you need so many documents? Some of those are for hiring people, not creation of objects."

"Ah, a keen eye," Nezu replied. "I've hired one of, if not the best defense and protection agency in Japan: ANVIL agency, run by the Engineering Hero: Cypher."

'CYPHER?!' Izuku exclaimed, causing Marvin to wince. 'He's famous for helping revamp the Tartarus prison, where they put the most dangerous criminals. It was his designs that helped figure out a way to cancel out mutant-class Quirks! No one else has even come close to replicating it!'

'Sounds like a smart guy,' Marvin replied, rubbing his ears.

"Indeed he is, Mister Mikrai," Nezu smiled. "Cypher is quite the interesting fellow, much like yourself, I would say."

He leaned down, pulling two more tablets in a bag from a drawer and sliding them to Marvin.

"I made more while you were gone," Nezu said. "Again, I'll advise caution since using these pills near your classmates may have some unintended side effects."

Marvin nodded, taking the bag and putting it in his pocket. "We'll make sure not to be reckless. We'll use these only if needed."

Nezu nodded. "Good, you may go now, Mister Mikrai and Mister Midoriya."

Izuku smiled as he stood, saying goodbye to Nezu as Marvin retreated into Izuku's mind.

They walked out to where their class was supposed to wait for the buses, with Izuku almost giddy with excitement.

'This is chaotic,' Marvin groaned as they waited for the bus.

Izuku sighed. 'But it'll help us. We can grow from this.'

Marvin's mood had fluctuated wildly over the past few days, even though he said he was fine. He would go from irritated to depressed to neutral to his typical self and back repeatedly and often spent long hours in One for All talking to Nana.

'Speaking of growth, I met one of the others like yesterday,' Marvin said. 'You'll gain an ability like mine where you'll be able to sense danger, though it doesn't detect people or objects in general, just threats.'

Izuku blinked. 'So, would I still need your senses?'

Marvin shrugged. 'Probably. No offense to the dude, but my senses are better. I can detect EVERYTHING; he can only see threats to you or possible threats. It's like spatial awareness compared to reading someone's moves.'

"Izuku?" Momo asked, appearing next to him.

He jumped a little, letting out a slight shout of surprise. "Oh, hey, Momo. Excited for the camp?"

She smiled and messed with his hair. "I will admit, I'm much more excited than I expected. It could be fun."

Marvin turned suddenly, sensing someone walking up to them.

Monoma froze as Marvin's eyes bore into him but quickly regained confidence as Izuku took control.

"Well, look at this," Monoma grinned. "It's the class that nearly failed their ridiculously easy exam. How does it feel to be so close to failure constantly?"

Marvin shrugged. "I don't know; I'd have to ask Kendo how she puts up with you."

"And since when is fighting All Might himself easy?" Momo raised an eyebrow. "Because that was part of our exam."

Monoma looked a mix of nervous and offended, unable to come up with a response.

"Monoma, can you stop insulting them for one second," Kendo said exasperatedly as she approached.

"You know, she kind of reminds me of you," Izuku whispered to Momo.

Momo snorted. "She is rather intelligent, but I think I'm better," She grinned.

Kendo rolled her eyes. "Oh, haha. Just have to inflate your ego, right?" She asked, but there was a smile there.

"I think I'm rather deserving of it," Momo raised an eyebrow, her voice becoming haughty.

Kendo raised her hands. "Ooohh, it's little Miss Formal coming to yell at me for not sticking my pinky out when I drink tea."

The two girls grinned at each other before Kendo sighed as Monoma began ranting again.

Marvin grinned at the blond, and Monoma stepped back, trying to hide his fear and failing.

"What's wrong?" Marvin asked. "Cat got your tongue?"

Kendo blinked as she watched Monoma quickly skitter away, not looking back even once.

"You have got to teach me how to do that," She said, turning to Marvin.

He shrugged. "It's all in the posture. You have to look like you're on the verge of attacking while appearing calm. People should look at you and think you're ready to fight at any moment while not being worried if you're attacked."

Marvin handed control to Izuku as the girls blinked, processing the information.

"That's... how did you figure that out?" Kendo asked curiously, Momo giving him a similar look.

"I got the inspiration from what All Might said in one of his interviews," Izuku lied. "He said, "A Hero should always be prepared, even if they're not on duty." And that stuck with me until I figured the intimidation out."

'Wow, you managed to lie without freezing once,' Marvin commented with amusement. 'Maybe there's hope for you.'

'I still don't like it,' Izuku rubbed his neck. 'It feels wrong.'

Marvin snorted. 'Well, that's because it IS. But hopefully, you won't have to lie much. It's a bad habit to have.'

Izuku got on the bus, sitting down with Momo next to him, her head on his shoulder.

'I'm going to talk to Nana,' Marvin yawned. 'You two can be lovey-dovey together. I'll be back sometime.'

Marvin entered One for All, and Izuku took Momo's hand, tapping it twice.

They'd made a system since Marvin would often disappear to give them privacy. Izuku would tap Momo twice when Marvin left or was asleep and three times when Marvin came back.

Momo kissed his jaw before snuggling into his neck. "You lied back there, didn't you?"

Izuku sighed. "Am I that obvious?" He asked, rubbing his neck.

"Izuku, I know you better than basically anyone," Momo replied deadpanned. "You can't lie to me."

He kissed her head softly. "And I never hope to."

"Good," She nodded and poked him in the side. "If you lie to me, there will be hell to pay."

Izuku gulped a little. "Y-yes, ma'am."

Momo smiled and kissed his cheek. "Good boy," She whispered, nuzzling back into his neck.

Izuku turned bright red, and Bakugo groaned loudly.

"Can't you two nerds get a room?" He asked, exasperated.

"Hey, I think it's cute," Mina protested.

"We don't really have anywhere else to go, Kacchan," Izuku said.

Bakugo froze. "What did you just call me?" He asked softly, staring at him.

"Uh, I- um, Kacchan?" Izuku mumbled, rubbing his neck.

Bakugo blew a breath out through his nose and hmphed, looking out the window with his arms crossed.

"What was that?" Izuku whispered to Momo.

She shrugged. "I'm not sure," She whispered.

"Maybe he's changing?" Izuku suggested a bit more hopefully than he intended.

"We can't jump to conclusions," Momo reminded him. "If he changes, good. If he doesn't, that's not your problem, ok?"

Izuku sighed but nodded. He'd wanted to be friends with Bakugo like they were when they were kids, and even after so many things changed, he held out hope that the blond would eventually come around.

Momo smiled and kissed him. "You have too good of a heart, sometimes."

They talked to their classmates, only enduring some light teasing from Mina, Uraraka, and surprisingly, Tsu, all of whom had no problem mentioning how Momo was almost sitting on Izuku's lap, not that she made any effort to move despite her blush.

"Listen up-" Aizawa turned but stopped as he saw that 1-A was too busy playing with each other to pay attention to him.

Aizawa sighed with a smile, shaking his head as he turned back. His class was talented, albeit reckless, but that came with being a teenager, he supposed.

They reached the camp, with Marvin returning just as the bus stopped.

Izuku tapped Momo three times, and she nodded, kissing him on the cheek as they got off the bus.

'Why the hell are we on a cliff?' Marvin asked in boredom. 'Where's the place we're supposed to camp at?'

He blinked as the Wild Wild Pussycats eagerly introduced themselves.

"Oh, fuck, they're furries," He blurted out before Izuku began internally fanboying.

Marvin groaned. "Fuck, they're old furries."

Pixie-Bob went to grab him by the head, and he lashed out, grabbing her by the wrist and twisting it painfully.

"Don't touch my head," He hissed as Pixie-Bob stared at him wide-eyed.

"Midoriya," Aizawa barked, his Erasure active. "Let her go."

Marvin dropped Pixie-Bob's arm with a deep breath, still glaring at the Pro hard enough that if he'd been in his birth body, Pixie-Bob would've keeled over by now.

The Pro stepped back as Mandalay sighed, rubbing her face with her paw.

"I told her that would bite her someday," She muttered before turning to 1-A.

"All of you," She gestured to the class. "Will be going through there to find the campgrounds."

She pointed to the forest behind her, and most of 1-A felt more than a little trepidation at the sight.

"Uhh, can't we just take the bus?" Uraraka laughed nervously as she and other students slowly backed up.

Pixie-Bob, now recovered from what happened with Marvin, grinned maniacally.

"Nope, sorry," She said before slamming her hands down.

The ground rumbled under them before it caved, dropping 1-A down into the forest.

Marvin stayed where he was, using Float to keep himself in the same place while ensuring to not look down.

"Oh, come on," Pixie-Bob said. "You can fly?"

"Midoriya," Aizawa sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Go into the forest, please?"

"Fine," Marvin rolled his eyes.

'You take control; I ain't doing that,' Marvin said as he released Float.

Izuku sighed as they fell. 'You can at least help me fight.'

'Nah,' Marvin replied. 'Watching you be bad at things is funny.'

Izuk fell next to his classmates, his eyes widening as he saw the giant earth monsters, courtesy of Pixie-Bob.

'I wonder how durable that thing is,' Marvin muttered as Izuku charged up One for All.

Izuku smashed through it with a kick, the monster collapsing and turning to dust.

'Got my answer,' Marvin said. 'They're weak as hell.'

More monsters appeared from the ground, and Izuku launched at them, turning them to dust in seconds.

"Hey, Midoriya," Kirishima yelled, activating his Quirk. "Leave some for the rest of us."

"We have three hours," Marvin replied, smashing another monster into a tree and destroying both. "I'd rather get there in less than one."

"You think we have that kind of power?" Momo yelled, fighting a monster with Tsu, Shoji, and Tokoyami.

'Should we share control?' Izuku asked, taking over and using Blackwhip to smash two monsters together.

'You think this is enough of a threat for that?' Marvin raised an eyebrow. 'Just get better.'

Izuku shouted as a monster smacked him through a tree, tumbling back with a groan.

'This is what I meant by that,' Marvin mumbled as Izuku groaned.

Marvin kipped up, reactivating One for All and rushing towards the monster.

He shattered it with his momentum alone and rolled forward as he hit the ground.

Marvin leaped to the right, kicking another monster's head off with a bored look.

He used Float, canceling his momentum, and launched in the opposite direction towards another monster.

He smashed it into the ground, canceling Float and swinging from a tree with Blackwhip.

Marvin landed on a tree and turned, bouncing off and smashing through another dirt monster.

He bounced off another tree and cranked One for All to 35%, beginning to dart around the trees.

1-A watched with wide eyes as he jumped around, the area shining brightly with light purple lightning as he moved.

The monsters turned to dust as fast as Pixie-Bob could make them, crumbling under Marvin's onslaught in the blink of an eye.

Marvin grinned wildly, feeling adrenaline flow through his veins.

He was in his element, bouncing from tree to tree faster than anyone could notice, only stopping to attack.

Marvin attached Blackwhip to a trio of monsters, pulling and kicking through all three before landing back in front of 1-A.

"Woah, Dekiru, you're fast," Uraraka exclaimed.

Marvin shrugged. "I said I wanted to get there in under an hour; I meant it."

Izuku took back control and stretched. "Come on, if we hurry, we get food."

Momo snorted a little. "Trust Izuku to worry about food first and foremost," She muttered, causing the people around her to snicker.

Izuku leaped into the forest, and 1-A followed him, feeling much better about their odds.

'What was that?' Izuku asked.

Marvin snorted. 'Skill blended perfectly with power. Places like these are my specialty, and combine that with the decent power your body can handle; you get that.'

Izuku blinked. 'Did you just compliment me?'

Marvin rolled his eyes. 'I compliment the things that need to be complimented and critique what you need to improve.'

Izuku kicked a dirt monster with both feet, smashing a piece of its head off, but hissed in pain.

He jumped back, rubbing his ankles with a hiss.

'How the hell do you do that?' He asked, jumping back from a claw.

'Your feet were pointed up,' Marvin yawned. 'You want to have only a slight incline on your foot. You basically hit it with your calcanei.'

'The what?' Izuku asked, leaping over the monster and smashing it with a punch.

'Bone at the back of your foot.'

Izuku ran forward, dodging more claws before leaping and punching a monster in the stomach, causing it to cave into itself.

He groaned as he saw more come through the trees, rolling his shoulders in preparation.

Someone yelled, and Izuku blinked as somebody crashed into one of the monsters, making it topple over with a boom.

'Well, that was overdramatic,' Marvin said as Izuku ran over.

Tetsutetsu laughed wildly as he stood, his skin covered in metal.

Izuku blinked. "Tetsutetsu?"

The boy turned. "Midoriya? What are you doing here?"

"We're trying to get through the forest before the three hours are up," Izuku replied, still confused.

"You guys are here too?" Kendo asked, coming up with 1-B just as 1-A caught up with Izuku.

It took several moments for the confusion to die down, as there were greetings, questions, and insults, the last one specifically from Monoma.

The budding conversations halted as more monsters roared, and Marvin noticed one with wings flying overhead.

'That has GOT to be cheating,' Marvin mumbled, staring at the flying creature.

"New plan; we take these out together and cut down our time," Izuku said, staring at the flying monster.

"What makes you think we'd team with you egotistical wannabes?" Monoma yelled with a crazed look.

Marvin gave him a flat look. "Because the extra numbers will allow more freedom of movement, and we're more likely to reach the camp in the required time that way?"

He rolled his eyes. "Though, I'm not surprised that went over your head since it seems to be there for decoration."

Izuku leaped forward, taking out a monster with a single punch before swinging back with Blackwhip and landing on a branch above 1-B.

"We're not asking to mock you guys," He yelled down at them. "I'm asking because we can help each other succeed. We might have to work together as Pros one day, and it's better to get a head start now!"

"He's right, Monoma," Kendo said before turning to Izuku.

"We'll go with you; we want to eat too," She yelled, and Izuku nodded.

"Kendo, what are you doing?" Monoma hissed as the class moved. "You're really going to help our rivals?"

Kendo rolled her eyes as she stood next to Momo. "I want to get there sometime before tomorrow, Monoma. Combining with Class A is the best way to do it."

Izuku leaped forward while Marvin yawned, watching everything with only slight amusement.

'How long do you think we'd take for this?' Izuku asked.

'If you were smart and used your head?' Marvin replied. 'Like twenty minutes tops.'

'Can't you do it for me?' Izuku asked in exasperation as he kicked another monster.

'Blackwhip listens to you more,' Marvin replied.

Izuku leaped over a monster, smashing it with a punch before swinging onto a tree.

'What does Blackwhip have to do with this?' He asked, bouncing off the tree.

Marvin rolled his eyes. 'How are you so slow?'

Izuku paused as Marvin explained his plan, physically face-palming at not coming up with it himself.

"New plan!" He yelled to the rest of 1-A and B. "We're not fighting these things."

"What? Midoriya, we can't pass this forest without fighting," Iida exclaimed, kicking another monster out.

Izuku quickly undid his tie, hoping Marvin's plan would work, or else he was about to look extremely stupid.

'Of course, it will work, asshat,' Marvin rolled his eyes. 'It's MY plan.'

Izuku destroyed a monster, removing his shirt to stop it from getting shredded.

"IZUKU," Momo yelled, her face pink. "What are you doing?"

He took a deep breath, charging One for All and calling on Blackwhip.

Blackwhip rushed out of his back and arms, shredding every monster in the area before he landed.

Izuku pushed, and Blackwhip rushed out, grabbing both classes of students and lifting them into the air.

He gritted his teeth as he felt like fire poured down his back, his hands shaking from the strain.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOU DAMN NERD?!" Bakugo roared, struggling to break free.

Izuku leaped forward, bouncing over the top of the trees while Blackwhip pulled his classmates behind him.

"If we fight these things," Izuku yelled. "Then it'll take hours for us to get through all of them."

"Since when do you have two Quirks?!" Monoma yelled as Blackwhip carried him.

"I don't," Marvin replied, sharing control with Izuku. "I'm just pushing myself to be better."

He activated Float as a monster leaped at them, letting it fall to the ground and shatter.

'Someone's not happy we're outsmarting her creations,' Marvin snorted.

Izuku threw his hands behind him, flicking the air and rocketing forward.

Marvin stepped back from control, and Izuku continued leaping from tree to tree.

"You know, I'm not sure if I should feel weird about being carried like this," Kaminari said.

"I think this is fun," Mina replied with a grin. "We're flying!"

"I wouldn't say this is flying," Kirishima said, holding his chin. "More floating?"

"Hey, Kirishima," Tetsutetsu yelled. "Your classmate's pretty cool!"

"I know, right?" Kirishima grinned, making a fist. "His manliness inspires all of us."

Izuku smiled as he continued jumping before Marvin tensed.

Izuku froze as he saw a monster twice the size of Ectoplasm's giant clone appear, towering over them with a roar.

Marvin jumped back, getting some space between them and the monster as the other students prepared their Quirks except for Bakugo, the only one with his hands bound due to his constant trying to escape.

Marvin charged up Wind Force, and Izuku pushed One for All to 55%, their new limit.

Adrenaline pumped through their veins as Marvin's Quirk activated, further bolstering their strength.

They leaped forward, ripping apart a good section of the forest behind them from the force.

Everyone from both classes covered their eyes as the wind howled around them.

The giant monster practically ceased to exist as Izuku's fist hit its chest, its body evaporating from the force.

The wind ripped up trees around them, throwing them high into the air like pieces of paper.

Izuku's punch had so much force that it left a crater nearly five meters deep and fifteen meters around.

He landed on the ground heavily, Blackwhip still holding up his classmates.

'Too much?' Marvin asked, stepping back from control as he felt a headache coming on.

'Yeah... I think so,' Izuku panted, hands on his knees.

"Ok, why the hell didn't you tell me your students could do that?" Pixie-Bob asked Aizawa.

The wind from Izuku's punch was so powerful that they could feel it even from where they were watching, far away from the classes.

"The carrying nearly forty people thing, the flying, or that punch?" Aizawa replied without missing a beat, holding a thermos full of coffee.

"All of that!" Pixie-Bob exclaimed, gesturing to the half-destroyed forest.

"I didn't know, I didn't know, and it was a recent development that I didn't see," Aizawa told her, drinking from his thermos.

"You didn't know your student has magic tentacles that can carry hundreds of kilograms?" Pixie-Bob said slowly.

"I knew about the tentacles, but I've only seen him grab two people at most," Aizawa said, remembering the Sports Festival. "He's grown since then."

Izuku let his classmates down gently, Blackwhip retreating into his back and making him hiss in pain.

Once everyone was down, he fell to his knees, the overexertion getting to him.

Momo created water from her palm, rubbing his back gently to treat the angry red splotches.

"We're close," Izuku panted, standing up with Momo's help.

"Todoroki, can you get us up there with your ice?" He asked, pointing up.

Todoroki nodded. "Of course, Midoriya."

The classes huddled together, Momo throwing a replacement shirt on Izuku and buttoning a few buttons before Todoroki placed his hand on the ground.

His Heaven Piercing Ice Wall shot them up, allowing both classes to reach the camping grounds well before the three-hour time limit was up.

"Well, that was quick," Mandalay said as the students approached.

"You did give us three hours," Momo pointed out.

Pixie-Bob laughed. "That time limit was how long it would've taken us to cross, not you guys!"

The two classes blinked, their brains short-circuiting.

"So... we never had to make it in the three hours?" Uraraka said slowly.

"No," Aizawa replied.

"WHAT?!" Class A and B yelled simultaneously.

Aizawa smiled. "It was a logical ruse to get you to push yourselves. No one expected you to be able to."

"Though, we didn't count on this one being so useful," Pixie-Bob grinned, leaning over to Izuku.

Izuku flushed, rubbing his neck. "I just wanted everyone to pass," He mumbled.

He turned a little, blinking as he noticed the kid standing some distance away and glaring at them.

'Damn, what's his problem?' Marvin muttered. 'Someone forget to pack his juice box or something?'

"This is Kota; he's my nephew," Mandalay said with a smile.

Izuku walked over. "Hey Kota, my name is Izuku Midoriya," He smiled.

Marvin took over as Kota tried to punch them, sidestepping with a bored look.

"You telegraph too much," He yawned. "You should be fluid. Your movements are stiff."

Kota glared at him and stormed off, and Marvin rolled his eyes as he gave control back to Izuku.

'How'd you know he'd try to hit us?' Izuku asked as Bakugo said that he liked the kid's spirit.

'Telegraphs too much,' Marvin yawned. 'And manga knowledge, remember?'

"He reminds me of you," Shoto told Bakugo.

The blond snarled. "WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN, YOU HALF AND HALF BASTARD?"

"A lot of aggression and attacks Midoriya without a reason," Shoto said calmly, utterly unfazed at Bakugo yelling in his face.

Marvin sighed. 'This is going to be annoying.'

Author's Note: And we've begun the Forest Arc. The next chapter will have the rest of the build-up stuff, like the hot spring and test of courage scenes, and the League attack would begin the chapter after.

.

Chapter updates will be slower because 1) I won't have a blueprint to follow and manipulate, and would be basically laying the tracks as I'm driving the train. 2) College and work is taking up a lot of my time atm, so my free time to write is being eaten up.
