Hey everybody, hope all is well! Since I haven't specified, here is a little bit about my update schedule. While I don't update on any specific days, readers should expect fairly quick updates. The only downside with this is that chapters will likely only be around 3 to 4k words per chapter. In this chapter, these characters will be introduced!

Pokelover - Selena Fox

Harmgee351 - John Quarral

KedharS - Darius Jardine

For those of you that have submitted an OC that is not appearing in this chapter, expect to be introduced in the next one as long as I have written you back. If not, it should be in the fourth as I'm trying to introduce each character slowly without shoving every single detail and personality trait down readers throats. Also, I encourage all readers to let me know any criticism/feedback they have, especially if there is something you wish to see concerning your character or story overall.

Thank you all for your support and compliments. A big part of why I update so quickly is due to the positive feedback in reviews and engagement I get from readers, so that may be a hint to review more to get quicker updates.

I'm still accepting OC's, although there is probably not going to be many more, so submit as soon as possible if you want a shot at being included! Review and hope you all enjoy!

Chapter 2:

"Hey Miles, what's the first class you have tomorrow morning?" Jace asked the other teenager as he continued to toss a small tennis ball in the air, laying on a bean bag. The two were currently in one of the Academy's lounges designed to relax and socialize with other peers. They were in a rather large area, fitted with many loveseats, bean bags, couches, and arm chairs. Not to mention the various ping pong tables, TV's, and various games spread throughout the area.

"Battle strategies with Professor Moore, how about you?"

"Damn, I got type specializations."

The two teenagers hit it right off the bat during the introduction ceremony this morning, quickly enjoying each other's company. The two were both way too similar than they'd like to admit, making it easy to interact due to their common interests and personality traits. It was safe to say the two would end up being good friends quickly, despite it feeling as if they had already known each other their whole life. In reality, it was only 6 PM, and the two had known each other for a grand total of around ten hours.

"Ahh, that class is mainly for people looking to become a gym leader?" Miles asked curiously, due to not having that course in his schedule. The black haired boy had also known that Jace was heavily considering putting all his efforts into attempting that path, as he had mentioned it a few hours after they originally met.

"Something like that I guess. I know that the instructors help the students narrow down their favorite types, using all different kinds of processes and analyses. If I'm being honest, I'd rather just pick a type off the top of my head rather than psychoanalyze everything."

"Fair." Miles replied, scanning the area as he continued to listen to Jace express his displeasure. For such a large area, there were not many people with the duo. This was most likely due to the majority of students preparing themselves for tomorrow. There was only a small trio of three girls in the complex, appearing to be around the same age as Jace and Miles. Another thing the duo had in common, with both of them being seventeen years old.

"Hey, what Pokemon do you have anyways? Can't believe I never asked you." Jace asked Miles, now fully sitting up and turning his attention fully to his friend.

"Just a few. Not really ready to show anyone yet though." Miles replied, his attention seeming far away from the conversation as his eyes appeared fixated on one of the girls. Jace noticed this quickly, following his eyes directly to a girl sitting in the middle between what he assumed to be her two friends.

"Oh wow…" Jace couldn't keep his eyes off the girl, his mouth remaining agape.

"Yep…"

The girl had a slightly tan skin complexion, with dark black hair that went down a little past shoulder length. Her light brown eyes glanced between both her friends, laughing at the conversation that was taking place. The black haired teenager wore a black tank top, with some ripped jeans showing just a hint of skin on her legs. It took a few seconds before her brown eyes met Miles' eyes, the two not looking away immediately.

She smiled politely, before returning her attention back to her friends. Miles forced himself to look away, feeling awestruck at the girl's beauty.

"Well, I bet you would show her the Pokemon you got." Jace smirked, crossing his arms in a smug but joking manner. Miles rolled his eyes, smiling and showing teeth from his remark.

"Just cause she's pretty? I think I got a little more mental fortitude than you give me credit for." Miles glanced back at the girl and her friends. Only this time, the black haired girl was eyeing

"I would show her a lot more than my Poke-"

"Okayyyy, we are definitely leaving!" Miles interrupted, grabbing Jace by the bicep and pushing him towards the door. Jace laughed in response with Miles shaking his head at the sheer audacity of his new friend. The two exited the building, with Miles sparing one last glance at the trio of girls. They all waved at the two exiting, most likely amused at Miles having been caught staring at one of them.

'Well, at least they didn't hear the shit Jace had just said. Probably…' Miles internally stated. The two aimlessly continued walking through campus grounds, admiring the vast campus and the scenery.

"You should have gone up to her and said something. I could have even been your wingman!" Jace exclaimed, pointed behind them to where they had just left. Miles simply rolled his eyes in response.

"I think I'd rather dive in Sharpedo infested waters than let you wingman for me. Wasn't it just after the ceremony that you tried hitting on the blonde haired girl who has a girlfriend? What's her name again?"

"Cherry, and yes you're completely right. Honestly, I completely forgot. She is attractive though, you have to admit."

"Whatever man, let's just head back to the dorm and order some food."

Laying on his bed, the Unova native John Quarral stared up at the ceiling while listening to a Youtube video playing on the side. Type advantages played in the background, with John stretching his arms and legs and sighing in exhaustion. The fifteen year old stood at a slightly above average height of 5'10, with an average build and short black hair. John wore simple cargo pants and a button up white shirt, which was a common theme for his outfits. Many friends and family would joke that he was a dad, often choosing to wear such formal outfits rather than a more comfortable attire. The teenager would laugh it off, enjoying the jokes while still continuing to wear the clothes he felt comfortable in.

His eyes were a milky shade, rather than being a normal color people were accustomed to seeing in everyday life. People's confusion of this dissipated quickly, though, after John would explain his blindness. It would surprise many, considering how it would hardly affect his day to day, due to his Pokemon often aiding him. Especially his Mr. Mime, named Oscar. Oscar was currently standing to the side of John, aiding him in small ways such as changing the educational videos he was currently watching in preparation for tomorrow.

In the opposite room sat another student, three years older named Darius Jardine. Darius was an eighteen year old male born in Paldea. He stood a few inches shorter than his roommate, at a height of 5'5. The teenager had a well built figure, with unruly black hair that often covered his forehead and eyes partially. His bright green eyes scanned the textbook in front of him, explaining some basic battling strategies relating to flying type Pokemon. The teenager wore a blue shirt fitted with black stripes across, along with a red jacket and blue slacks.

"Hey John, have you started reading Battle Strategies 101 for Professor Moore yet?" Darius asked across the room, absentmindedly skimming through the first chapter. The two of them were both majoring in the battle course, making conversations with each other much easier due to the similar career choice. They had known each other for a few days now since moving in. While the two weren't good friends yet, they both enjoyed each other's calm and relaxed demeanors. They also really only had each other, since there wasn't much socializing other than today due to the school year not starting until tomorrow.

"No, but I'd imagine if I could see and actually read, then perhaps." John joked, smiling at his roommate's error. "Mime Mime!" Oscar visibly shouted, throwing his hands in the air towards the opposing male.

Darius closed his eyes, actually facepalming his forehead at his mistake. "Shit, my bad dude. I have no idea why I completely forgot."

"No worries, it's no biggie." John waved it off, continuing. "You have it tomorrow morning?"

"Yep, just trying to get ahead and not get caught off guard. Heard he's pretty strict."

"Oh cool, we have the same period with him. I listened to the audiobook this afternoon. Didn't seem like anything he would go over right off the bat. Just read the part where it describes trying to immobilize flying types, using status moves such as thunder wave." John helpfully explained, with Darius nodding to himself in response before speaking once again. Darius internally reminded himself to listen to the audiobook rather than the textbook, as he felt he learned much better in that manner.

"Got it, thanks John. If you need help with anything in the class as well, you could always ask me. I'm pretty good with battling strategies and thinking on the fly in that department."

"Sounds good, we can definitely work together and debate battling strategies with each other. I'm half decent in that department myself." John humbly replied, getting up and expertly navigating himself across the messy room they had already.

Darius watched his roommate, impressed by the way he avoided luggage, clothes, and other junk they had laying across the floor. Mr Mime watched John as he moved, his eyes glowing slightly as he aided John with his psychic powers.

John had explained to Darius when they first met how he often completed tasks with the help of Oscar. Due to Oscar's strong psychic ability, he was able to provide a mental map and feedback to John with his powers. At first, it was a shaky procedure due to not only understanding but then applying that information to John's tasks. However, that was a far cry from the present, with the two being in tune with each other quite easily.

"I'm going to go to the cafeteria really quickly with Oscar, you want anything?" John kindly asked, grabbing his cane before turning towards his roommate.

"I'm good, thanks though. I'll see you when you get back." Darius mock saluted, turning back to the textbook to finish up quickly before relaxing. Not before seeing John mock salute back despite having no vision, with him and Oscar opening the door and departing to eat dinner. Darius waited for the door to close, before whispering to himself in slight awe.

"Still freaks me out..."

"Bye guys, I'll see you all tomorrow!" Selina Fox told her friends, waving at the two before taking out a key and opening her dorm room.

"Hey girl, whatchu up to?" Selina asked in a bright mood, dropping her backpack at the corner of their neat room. Her roommate, Cherry Kerala, smiled politely before answering as she sat on her bed cross legged

"Oh just studying! My girlfriend and I were just studying over facetime, which helped me out a lot. Where did you come from?"

Selina dived face first onto her bed, sighing in relaxation at finally being able to relax by herself. Like every other new student, she had woken up early for the introduction ceremony. Afterwards, she spent practically the whole day spending time with some of her friends she knew previously. Luckily for Selina, two of her best friends also got admitted into the low acceptance Academy, exciting them all greatly at the idea of attending Champions Academy together.

"Not much, I was just talking with some of my friends at one of the lounges. This place is really amazing." Selina remarked, grateful for the unique opportunity to attend such a luxurious and academically excellent Academy.

"Tell me about it. Meet any new people?"

"No, but there was one guy with his friend that I think was checking me out. Didn't come up and say anything though." Selina frowned slightly, confused at why the teenager didn't introduce himself. It was most likely due to being nervous she concluded.

"Well, he must have been cute judging by how disappointed you look." Cherry teased, getting up to put a few of her textbooks on her desk. It was already 9:38 PM, and they had school tomorrow starting at 8 AM. Selina had already made herself comfortable under her sheets, watching Cherry as she turned on her bedside lamp and turned off the room lights to prepare to go to sleep.

"Honestly, he was pretty hot. He had cute black hair that was pretty messy but not in a bad way. I think he works out too because he looked pretty strong. His blonde friend also wasn't bad. They were both good looking.

Cherry listened curiously, being reminded of the two boys she had befriended this morning. It couldn't be Miles and Jace, right? The small blonde shrugged it off, doubtful that her roommate was speaking of the same funny and wild individuals she mad just met.

"Bummer. You excited for school tomorrow?" Cherry asked, turning to her side to peer at Selina who did the same.

"Very much, which is weird considering it's school, not something like a party." Selina laughed, drawing a giggle from Cherry.

"Same. I think I'm just excited to make some new friends and battle with other capable trainers. It is worrying though, considering everyone here is so talented. I mean, they wouldn't be considering what Academy we go to." Cherry stated, a hint of worry laced in her voice at the end. Selina sat up, looking her roommate right in the eyes.

"That's true, but I've heard just how passionate you are about battling. I may not be majoring in the Battle Course, but I know you're just as smart and capable as everyone else here. You got this!" Selina remarked enthusiastically, making Cherry tear up at her kind words. Before she could continue, she was cut off by Cherry jumping onto her bed, hugging her friend tightly.

"Ch-Ch-C" Selina attempted to talk, thinking she was going to experience an early death due to the small girl's unnatural strength.

"Huh?" Cherry asked against the girl, her eyebrows arched up in confusion as she still hugged the girl tightly.

"I can't fucking breathe!" Selina barely gasped out, feeling like her face was turning purple like a cartoon.

"Oh shoot, sorry!"

"You promised that it would be my turn next time you died!" Jace shouted, attempting to grab the console controller from Miles as he helped it away from him, pushing his friend away with the other hand.

"Did I? Nah, doesn't seem like something I'd say." Miles clearly lied, continuing to play Call of Duty on the flat screen TV setup in his single dorm. It was 2AM, with the two teenagers playing shooter games in Miles's room.

"Dude, if you don't give me the controller, I'll literally-" A bright flash interrupted Jace's threat, the two being blinded by the Pokemon belt on Miles's waist.

"Tar!" The small pseudo legendary shouted, running across the room as Miles cursed, chasing after Larvitar.

"Holy shit, you have a Larvitar?" What's up little guy!"

"Larvitar! I told you that you can't just jump out of your pokeball whenever you feel like it!" Miles shouted, no doubt his voice carrying to other dorm rooms and annoying its occupants. After a few seconds, Larvitar stopped moving, allowing his trainer to pick him up and carry him back to his seat."

Meanwhile, Jace switched his attention back to the TV, grabbing the controller and taking over the game, much to Miles's dismay.

Larvitar, however, sighed in content as his trainer scratched the top of his head. "Really bro?" Miles asked, referring to Jace stealing the controller as he ran across the battlefield.

"Don't hate the player, hate the game." Jace muttered, with Miles leaving his mouth open in confusion before rolling his eyes. "How did you get a Larvitar?"

"Last year, I found him hurt because of some piece of shit Pokemon poacher. I helped save him and catch the poacher, helping turn him in to the police. After he was reunited with his family, he chose to come with me." Miles spoke fondly, patting Larvitar's back as the Pokemon smiled and screeched softly at the memory. "Since you just saw one of my Pokemon, I think it's only fair that you show one of yours now."

Jace grinned, putting the controller down as he died on the TV. Seriously, for someone so passionate about Call of Duty, the teenager was horrible at it.

"Well, thank you Miles! I thought you'd never ask." Jace remarked, taking a pokeball from his belt before clicking the button.

Out of the bright light emerged a large, fuzzy yellow electric type. While not a Sinnoh native, Miles immediately recognized the powerful looking Pokemon as an Electivire.

"Electivire!" Electivire repeated its name, pumping its fist most likely due to feeling the enthusiasm its trainer had over it.

"Wow, he looks pretty strong." Miles admitted, watching Jace as he nodded in agreement, happy about the complement.

"Thanks! Electivire was my starter Pokemon. I got him as an Elekid from my dad as a gift. I've been with him for about six years now. Isn't that right brochacho?" Jace turned to his Pokemon, the two of them fist bumping while Miles tried to ignore the fact that Jace called his starter Pokemon "brochacho."

"Damn, not a bad first Pokemon at all." Miles complimented, before noticing how late it was. "Alright Jace, you got to get out of my room. We got school in just a few hours…"

Jace groaned, not seeming to be fazed one bit by the prospect of not having enough rest.

"Whatever man, I'll see you tomorrow?" Jace asked hopefully, the two clasping hands as a goodbye before Miles opened the door to let him out.

"For sure, I'll text you."

"Alright, peace!" Jace shouted in the open hallway, with Miles quickly closing the door to ensure nobody would see him as the one shouting loudly at 2 AM.

"Larvitar?" The small rock/ground type asked its trainer, with Miles grasping the idea of what the Pokemon was trying to say.

"Yeah, I think we'll be pretty good friends. He's pretty chill." Miles replied honestly, with Larvitar nodding his head in understanding. The two jumped suddenly as they heard a high pitched scream coming from the hallways.

"CAN YOU SHUT THE HELL UP?! ITS 2AM AND WE HAVE SCHOOL TOMORROW!"

Miles quickly burst out laughing once he heard the blonde haired teenager's response.

"Oh wow, your eyes are so beautiful. I'm Jace, nice to meet you!"

Hope you all enjoyed! Review and I'll see you all soon! The start of Champions Academy in the next chapter!
