A scene opens up with Atomsk waiting for TME to arrive.
A portal than opened with TME entering the area.
"Hey Sorry for the wait Atomsk, had to post the latest U6 chapter, chapter 8 to be clear." TME said while he rubs his head a bit.
"Np man. Least this new chap will show how much spite we put to those idiot haters. Especially that dumbass, anon9919." Atomsk said.
"Eh honestly I'm not caring anymore on reviews like that, guest reviews that don't have impact, delete, for guests reviews or for accounts with throwaway like names… yeah I ignore now… may as well do that for my sanity and we just have fun… anyway considering this is your idea with the AuraVerse thing with some input from me, mind explaining to the readers what they would be getting into?" TME said when he points a thumb at the readers.
"Well let's just say, Finn and two of our classic go to OC's were down on their luck so after meeting by chance, the trio would try to find a new life which will lead to something much more." Atomsk said.
"Interesting… and given how chaotic Ooo is, not too farfetched to run into either unknown or mysterious powers and maybe travel to… hehe… distant lands." TME said though he blinks when booing was heard and gained a half lidded look.
"Oh come on that joke wasn't too bad." TME said while he rubs his head.
Atomsk sweatdrops.
"Okay… I think it's time we get started on the story."
"Right… mind leading this in since you have the start planned out?" TME said while he looks at Atomsk with a grin.
"Alright." Atomsk said before the scene starts to shift.
Ooo/Treefort
It had been months after Flame Princess (who's real name doesn't get revealed yet), dumps Finn for lying and manipulating her to fight Ice King.
And if that wasn't bad enough, he got disappointed looks from anyone that heard the news especially to some royals even though Ice King did kidnapped them.
Marceline though… well let's just say she was pissed due to her friendship with the ice royal wizard. She's now not speaking to Finn.
Said hero was now in his room feeling depressed.
As he rests in his room while huddling in his sleeping back on his bed… BMO came into the room.
"Finn?... you hungry?... Jake is worried, you haven't left the room in 2 days." BMO said while walking over and moved to stand on Finn's chest.
Finn sighs.
"BMO… I just want to be alone."
BMO on their end looks sad.
"But… BMO is worried… at least come get a snack or something… its Finn cakes… and they are the specially made kind full of good stuff you love." BMO said while trying to tempt Finn in moving from their bed.
Finn knew BMO means well and though he doesn't want to move, his stomach made a noise.
"Okay… I'll get something."
BMO smiles and jumps off Finn so he could sit up.
"Oh and before you come down, you should really bathe… I think I can see odor coming from you… if you haven't moved in two days, should really make sure you're not as Jake would say… Stewing your juices or something like that." BMO cutely said before they climbed down the ladder leading to the living room.
Finn did blink before smelling his shirt and lightly gagged.
"G-Grob… probably should." He said before going to the bathroom and takes a shower.
As Finn bathed… BMO came back in and moved to grab the sleeping bag and ran out to have Jake clean it properly… that or burn it so Finn could get a new one… either way time went to 30 minutes later with Finn exiting the bathroom in a new outfit he got recently so he could throw some people off since his iconic look made people look at him in the wrong light and wanted to try and not get that kind of look for awhile.
Finn was wearing dark gray jeans, black shoes, a shirt with a picture of a flaming Pegasus, and a jacket with a wolf hood.
As Finn looks in a mirror, he barely recognized himself which did make him smile a bit… may not fool Marceline and her nose but should be able to fool many that Finn was gone and this new Finn was here… maybe he could change his identity or something so he could go for a fresh experience in life… was a thought… oh if Finn only knew the future events to be…
'Not bad. Not many can recognize me.' Finn thought as he went down stairs to the kitchen.
When he did, he went to the kitchen and smelled some GOOD food cooking going on… when he did… he saw Jake cooking one hell of a meal and there was jumbo sized Finn cakes with various goodies on and in it, looks like Jake was going all out in the feast when he heard Finn was moving around from BMO.
Finn sneakily approaches the Finn cakes and takes one.
When he did though, Jake smirks.
"You know bro, stealthy or not, the Treefort isn't able to hide much… could hear creeks in the wood and BMO took your sleeping back to the cleaners and NEPTER is charging so…" Jake said while he flipped a bacon pancake and looks at Finn with a smile.
"Happy exiting the room day bro." Jake said while smiling at Finn.
Finn mentally cursed but had to chuckle at Jake's humor.
"Thanks." He said before eating the muffin.
Jake chuckles as he went back to cooking.
"Hope you enjoy the food bro, PB helped give many ingredients with Breakfast Princess helping out, some of the food was about to go bad in a few days so may as well have a combo platter of comfort food and a huge feast so that we won't have food going bad, the Finn cakes have things like chocolate in them with sprinkles as well on some of them." Jake said while he smiles as he flipped the bacon pancake again.
Finn blinks when he heard that.
"I see." He said before enjoying more of the Finn cakes.
As Jake cooked more and finished cooking… he sets a lot of food on the table while Finn was left with his thoughts.
'So PB and Breakfast Princess helped… probably being nice to Jake since he didn't cause the Ice Kingdom to melt.' Finn thought.
Granted while PB maybe disappointed in him, same with BP… Finn knew that they wouldn't abandon him when the chips were down… granted he still felt horrible for what he did and more… even if there was a small few who didn't think bad of him… most probably thought the worst of Finn now… honestly he wondered what he should do now… the food in his gut helped him think clearly but also gave him more… ideas than some would be comfortable for.
'Should I even be Ooo's hero now? Just because I listened to a dream from the CO… now everyone turned their backs on me. I know Flame Princess and Marceline hate my guts the most. Then again… Marcy was a bitch when we first met. Plus she kicked me and Jake out of our home twice.' Finn thought.
As Finn stewed in his thoughts more, Jake noticed Finn slowing down in his eating and what not.
"Hey Finn, something wrong?... the Uber Finn cake not sitting well with you?" Jake asked when Finn barely got by half if his Finn cake.
"Huh?… sorry Jake. I was thinking on stuff." Finn said.
"Really?... does this have to do with the break up with Flame Princess and stuff?..." Jake said before he sighs.
"I'm… really sorry bro… me and my big mouth got you in so much trouble with many…" Jake said while he rubs his forehead.
Finn did remember that Jake gave him the advice but sighs.
"It's fine man. Can't blame you and your beliefs."
"Maybe… but I still pushed you to do things to see what the Cosmic Owl was talking about in your dreams… honestly if not for that, you probably wouldn't have broken up with Flame Princess… and Marceline wouldn't look like she wants to gut you and stuff… I mean we did let Ice King live here for awhile until his home was fixed…" Jake said as he rubs his head.
"Some bro I am… ruined your love life and heroic image in one go… maybe I should have never gone straight and stuff… least if I did… wouldn't feel this guilty and probably would have done things smarter…" Jake said while he looked just as bummed as Finn was… seems like Finn wasn't the only one down and out while Jake felt immense guilt for what he did.
Finn went to Jake and hugs him.
"Jake, it's not your fault. As far as everyone is concerned, this was my doing. I'll take the blame." He said.
Jake cried than when he hugged Finn when he heard that.
"B-But… But… BWAAAA!" Jake cried when he hugged Finn tightly.
Finn hugged Jake more as he also cried but deep down, he felt that life on Ooo was giving him a bad hand.
After the two calmed down and finished eating…
"So wait… you want me to leave Ooo?" Finn said as Jake nods his head.
"Not forever before you ask… just… to let things calm down… maybe a change of place could help with clearing your head… not only that, crimes are on an all time low, I mean there is no issues in leaving things to me and stuff… can even talk with PB when you leave so even if she has issues, can't track you right?" Jake said while he looks at Finn calmly.
Finn was thoughtful after hearing this.
"Hmmm… Can think of it like a vacation. Plus you can spend lots of time with Lady."
"Hehe well there is that… hopefully without the chaos in Ooo, should help you with getting a clear head and stuff… bad biscuits make the baker broke bro… in this case you could end up like Billy without a Hero heart if your not careful if you let all the troubles in the world get to you… don't want that and have a hole in your chest right?" Jake said while he poked Finn on the chest a few times.
Finn had to chuckle at the poking.
"Right." He said.
"Nice… you should get packed and stuff, I'll keep an eye on the Treefort so you shouldn't be worried about it to much, who knows, if I live with Lady, could have the place rented out so that by the time you get back, the Treefort is flowing with gold… either that or Lady and I may move in and rent out her old place and stuff." Jake said while he grins at Finn.
Finn chuckle.
"Sounds like a plan. Maybe you and lady will make more kids too."
Jake blushed before smirking.
"Hehe, careful Finn, means a lot of nieces and nephews to get gifts for… leave Lady and me alone and who knows how many kids we may have, grow fast as well." Jake joked before laughing a bit.
Finn did laugh as well while BMO joined in.
"Anyway while you pack, may as well prep more food so you will have a good meal on the road… may as well make the legendary Finn Cake I've always wanted to make to boot… the GOLDEN Finn Cake… so perfect it will make all future Finn cakes unless Golden pale pretenders… *Opera singing*" Jake said as he walked to the kitchen while leaving Finn alone with BMO in the living room.
"Well BMO, seems I better pack up for this big journey that I'll take." Finn said.
"Yay!... I'll go pack as well so you're not alone and turn loony like the Ice King!" BMO said before they ran off thinking they would join Finn on the journey.
Finn blinks a bit when he didn't say BMO was going but… can he say no to that face?
Time went to a bit later and this results in Finn finishing packing with him getting various outfits in case he had to go in cold climates and warm ones… he was waiting for Jake to finish cooking since things smelled REALLY good now… made the earlier meal low level and stuff… this had BMO Come back with a adorable mini-backpack that looked a lot like Finn's old school backpack full of items like a solar Charger, some other items, and NEPTR followed them.
"OK Nepter, once Finn and I leave, what will you do?" BMO said as Nepter gave an attempt at a salute.
"Throw neverending pies at Jake when he leasts expects it and support him when he needs help with things in the meantime… I will also take care of Loraine so you won't have to worry about her." NEPTR said while smiling at BMO.
"Good." BMO said with a smile.
Jake than returned while he had a golden trey with a lid on it.
"Finn… BMO… NEPTR… I bring to you the glory that is the GOLDEN Finn cake… Finn… if you would do the honors…" Jake said while holding the tray to Finn so he could pull the lid off.
"With pleasure." Finn said as he grabs the top of the lid.
When he did… angelic singing was heard when Finn saw the most beautiful looking Finn cake he ever saw… looked Golden over most of it… black with some eyes and other bits so made it look like Jake mixed his colors with the Finn cake and Finn felt a tear well up on one eye from how beautiful the Finn cake looked.
"Oh my…" Finn said as he couldn't help but stare at the beauty of the cake.
"Go on dude… eat it… I made another for the road and some for myself…" Jake said when he gave Finn an understanding look.
Hearing this, Finn took the first two bites of the cake.
When he did, Finn's eyes sparkle and felt like actually crying from how good the GOLDEN Finn cake was… honestly felt like a gift from the food Globs with how good this was.
"So… good." Finn said as he enjoys more of the cake.
"Well enjoy it bro… I'll be packing the food now and stuff so try and savor every bite." Jake said while he smiles at Finn as he left the room.
"Hmmm… Will do." Finn said.
As Finn savored the bites, he would realize that while he would have better mental health in leaving Ooo for a time… he also realized that many of his friends and family may miss him… granted issues may change things but all in all… least Jake was there to back him.
'Glad to know I still have Jake, BMO and Neptr to back me up. Not to mention Lady.' Finn thought.
After Finn finished his food and what not… Jake returned with a large side bag.
"Here dude, I had this enchanted at Wizard City, holds more than just food, remember those RPG games that have those bag things with LARGE holding and stuff?" Jake said while Finn looks excited since this would keep him from carrying things in an encumbered way.
"Oh neat! I might find some good treasures to bring back." Finn said.
"For your nieces and Nephews?" Jake said to mess with Finn a bit.
Finn jolts.
"Very funny man." He said.
"Hehehe thanks… anyway you packed… got plenty of spare underwear?... I know you sometimes sleep in the nude lately but can't be too careful." Jake said while BMO giggles at this while NEPTR laughs a bit.
Finn felt embarrassed.
"Oh come on man!" He said.
Jake laughs a bit at this.
"Hehe… just messing with you man… sorry, but seriously you ready to leave for the adventure vacation of your life?... got a few spare weapons?... got potions and stuff at the ready?... even got you this sweet helmet though has the unfortunate thing of being a mind reading thing so may hear things…" Jake said while he pulled out a comical knight looking helmet though has weird runes on it.
"Huh, where did you get that?" Finn said.
"Eh… found it at one of Choose Gooses stands, got it looked at, no downsides though may hear things you may not want to… could be handy." Jake said while he passed the mind reading helmet to Finn.
"Hmm… true." Finn said as he packs the helmet.
After he put this in and got a few more swords, even the Pink Jewel sword and other iconic ones… Finn was ready to leave… and all he had a was the mystical side bag and BMO giggle while looking up at Finn.
"Oh Finn!... can I ride in the bag!?... I can sort things and help brings out for you like a side kick in a side bag!" BMO said while smiling at Finn cutely.
Finn smiles a bit.
"Sure BMO."
Finn than put BMO in his side bag and looks at Jake.
"See you Jake… and see you Neptr… be good and try and not destroy the Treefort while I'm gone." Finn said as Neptr smiles.
"Can do Creator… I will make sure Jake does not bring down the house from a party he is planning." NEPTR said making Finn blink and gives Jake a half lidded look.
"Really bro?" Finn said while he keeps the half lidded look.
Jake chuckles nervously.
"H-Hehe… don't know what he means."
"Right… Neptr… in case Jake ruins things… use code piepocalype… you have my permission…" Finn said as Neptr got oddly serious looking.
"Code accepted Creator." Neptr said with a serious look on their face.
"What?!" Jake said.
"Welp Jake, good luck just in case… better take care of the Treefort because Neptr may strike when you least expect it now." Finn said with a smirk on his face looking REALLY ominous as Finn walked to the front door, grabbed plenty of gold to use from the entryway just in case, and left Jake with an oddly serious looking Neptr who looks at Jake.
"Enjoy the Party Jake… better make sure nothing bad happens to the treefort… because my mercy switch has been turned to the off position as some would say." Neptr said before they rolled back into the gold pile out of sight.
"Oh boy." Jake said as he now has to make sure nothing bad happens.
As Finn left the Treefort… he stopped by the Water Nymph pond and tapped the surface of the water to see if any of the sisters were there.
Just then, one water nymph appeared that has long watery hair and was wearing a pink bikini with a gold belly button ring.
This was Denise.
"Hey Finn, need something?" She said with a smile.
"Yeah its a long story but…" Finn said as he explained things to Denise and when he finished…
"So yeah I need you, Lapis, and Lazuli to watch over the Treefort just in case Jake does anything crazy… can accept parties and stuff… even have Neptr using Code Piepocalype and stuff so should keep him under some control but still… I should be gone for a long time.. Not sure how long but… I need some time to clear my head and stuff and staying here with reminders and people giving me bad looks… it justs eats at me… honestly I'm glad you and your sisters are not doing that… granted you there were steamed because of Ice King living here and stuff but… yeah… really glad that I didn't have to go out a backdoor and stuff." Finn said while he rubs his head.
Denise sweatdrops at the moment.
"Right… but don't worry, we understand what happened. We wouldn't turn on you."
"Hehe, thanks, would give you a hug but don't want to risk falling in with BMO in the bag… anyway tell Lapis and Lazuli I said hey and I'll see them in the future…" Finn said as he stands and got ready to leave.
Denise though did want to do something.
"Well hold on Finn, should give you a little something." She said as she gestures Finn to get closer.
Finn blinks when he heard that and knelt to get near Denise again while wondering what she wanted to give him.
Denise smirks as she surprised Finn by kissing his lips for a few seconds.
Finn had wide eyes and blushed brightly before he fell back and looks at a giggling Denise with a BIG blush on his face… made him look like a tomato.
"Sorry but… figure this can be a nice incentive when you plan to go back home. Always liked you Finn." Denise said.
Finn blushed immensely from this when he didn't expect this… honestly before he could say much, Denise smiles.
"Hehe, well me and my sisters as well… I'll talk to you when you get back Finn, try and get some gifts when you return." Denise said before she dived into the water before Finn could stop her.
Finn didn't know what just happened.
"Guess I have a… thing for elementals." He said since he didn't say nothing bad about what Denise said.
Either way it was time to go.
As Finn got up and dusts himself off… he left the Treefort officially and as he walked… he had a thought of what to do or where to go first and well… he drew a mental blank making him jolt… though he did relax that he was an adventurer… he could just wonder in a direction and let the luck of adventure he had bring trouble to him and stuff making him grin.
'I don't know where to go but… adventure is always around the corner!' Finn thought.
As Finn starts to run, he grins when he made some pretty good time… a Day passed since than and he was funnily enough near the border of the Badlands at a bar while he was eating some food and drinking some drinks with BMO charging themselves with a solar charger they had… as Finn ate and stuff, he looks at a map of Ooo that he had and looks to see where to go and not go if he was not going to be in Ooo… granted he didn't have many options thanks to the fact that not many map the outside of Ooo but he did have some options to go over.
"I could explore the badlands… unless… travel the big… Ocean." Finn said.
Though as Finn wondered what to do… he heard the door to the Bar open and two people walked in… this normally wouldn't get Finn's attention mainly since one of them was a blue furred wolf man… but the other.. Looked like a cloaked figure and walked behind the guy and… while not much was seen given the simple looking outfit with a side bag similar to Finn's… but… the figure looked somewhat… human?... honestly that can't be right… maybe some kind of humanoid… and Finn could be wrong but was the guys eyes glowing under the hood?
The wolf man looks at his companion.
"Bar or booth?"
The figure looks at the wolfman and looks around before noticing Finn.
"Hmmm… for now… lets go to the bar… can decide if we stick around or not after a drink and some food." the figure said as he walked to the bartender.
"Alright." The wolf man said as he follows his friend.
As he did, the two figures sat at the bartenders area.
"Before my friend and I get something to eat and drink… Any rumors going around barkeep on anything interesting happening lately?" The hooded figure said as he passed the Barkeep a couple gold coins to help the Barkeep relax.
The Barkeep was thoughtful.
"Oh yeah, ever heard about the melting of the Ice Kingdom?"
"Ice Kingdom?... I think so… my friend and I were passing by Ooo and heard recently a psychopath caused the Queen of Flames and the Ice King to battle there and melt things when the Queen nearly torched the ice king." The hooded figure said.
Finn gulped when he heard that before the bartender continued.
"Well rumor was that the Queen of Flames's boyfriend… well ex boyfriend, Finn the Hero, was the cause of this and was later dumped hard."
"Really?... why is that Finn guy called a hero if he did that?... honestly I'm no hero but still… if I had an actual girlfriend… wouldn't cause my woman or women if I had many to fight for me or something… did the guy have a reason at least?" The hooded figure said.
The barkeep shrugged.
"No clue. That's all I heard." The barkeep said making Finn not liking this.
'Okay… I'm just gonna pay and leave this place.' He thought as he plans to take out some coins.
Though for some reason his bag was not next to him and a moment later… it was held near him.
"Pardon me… this yours?" A figure said and when Finn looks over… he saw surprised to see the wolfman holding his bag to him while looking a bit amused.
"Um yes." Finn said as he went to get his bag back.
Though the wolf man pulled it from Finn's grasp.
"Ah ah… I'll return this if you let my friend and I come and talk with you… we noticed you looking at us a few times…" The wolfman said while he smirks at Finn.
Finn cursed his luck.
"Sorry."
The wolfman looks amused as he passed Finn his bag as the hooded figure, now with food, came to the table and sat there while looking at BMO who looks at the figure and smiles.
"Hey there stranger." BMO said in a chipper way while the hooded figure was silent… but pets BMO on the top of their head and looks at Finn.
"So… who are you and why are you looking at Cedric and I?" the figure said while the wolfman, Cedric, rolls his eyes.
"Sorry about my friend here… not the most friendly of people until you get to know him." Cedric said as the figure rolled their eyes.
"Says the guy who tried to rob me once as a prank after we first met." the figure said while not looking amused.
"Oh come on Emerald." Cedric said.
The now identified Emerald shakes his head as Cedric sat at the table.
"Anyway… who are you kid and why are you in these neck of the woods?... bit young to be in a bar unless its just for the food and stuff… about to head to the badlands and its not a place for you to be." Emerald said since Finn must be heading to the badlands and stuff… for a guy who doesn't warm up to people, does seem helpful if he knew the lay of the badlands and was trying to help Finn from keeping him from getting harmed.
"Well… I'm actually trying to figure out where to go. I'm on some sort of… adventure vacation." Finn said.
"Ah… so a quest on the road of life?" Cedric said while rubbing his chin as Emerald sighs.
"Pretty sure it doesn't have that much meaning… than again if you head to the badlands, should be a serious heads up that heading there would be bad… anyway since we introduced ourselves, mind if we get your name?" Emerald said while he looks at Finn.
Though BMO smiles.
"This is Finn the hero of Ooo!... despite what people say he is a good guy and I am BMO!" BMO said while Emerald and Cedric look at BMO for a moment before looking at Finn with straight looks on their faces to see if BMO was telling the truth.
Finn sighs.
"Since that's out of the bag… yes I'm Finn. And I overheard your talk with the bartender. For the record, reason I made two royals fight was because I was listening to prophetic dreams by the Cosmic Owl."
"Really?... you listened to that Cosmic turkey?" Emerald said while he had a half lidded look… seems Emerald had a bad time with Globs or didn't believe much in them for him saying this as Cedric sighs.
"Again sorry for him… though seems the Globs seem to have it out for Emerald… a few weeks ago, he had a dream that if he stuck around a certain village too long… would cause issues with the village chief's daughter… granted Emerald here thinks little of the opposite sex so he figured just leaving would cause little issues…" Cedric said though as Finn got a shocked look…
"Dude… I think you gave him the wrong idea with the phrasing… think little of the opposite sex?" Emerald said while he had a twitching eyebrow under his hood.
Cedric blinks a bit before seeing his mistake.
"Damn… sorry kid. Emerald is not into men but too shy with women."
"More like I could care less… thanks to an issue of mine, getting a girlfriend is an issue since many don't like what happens to me." Emerald said before he moved to pull the hood of his cloak back…. To most shock Emerald looks human… all besides two cat ears on the top of his head… he honestly looks like he could pass as a human with just a simple hat on his head.
Finn was a bit surprised.
"What issue is that?"
"Ever hear of a why wolf and how they seem to change from wild savages to lab coat wearing guys with straight postures?" Cedric said while he starts to try and explain things a step at a time.
Finn was thoughtful.
"Actually yes. Met some. They were pricks. Especially when they talk about the CO."
"Yeah well that helps but this leads me to another example since this can help with a difference… thanks to some family bloodline issues, not bad by the way, that change trigger changed so that he changes at night and day instead of certain moments so well… depending on things you may or may not see what I mean but… try and not mistake him for a woman… had an embarrassing meeting with Emerald and I when that happened." Cedric said while he rubs his head with a nervous grin.
Finn blinks a bit before realizing what Cedric meant.
"Oh." He said as he now felt awkward.
Emerald grumbles before he starts eating as Cedric grabbed a drink.
"Anyway kid… if you're determined to head to the badlands or something, who knows, may as well be your guide, wouldn't be able to sleep at night if you wound up dead… or worse… Surge found you…" Cedric said while Emerald's eyebrow twitched at this.
Finn was confused.
"Who's Surge?"
"Leader of the Badlands and someone obsessed with Emerald here… same with Surge's sister Maite… we come and go from the badlands a few times but lets just say Maite, and more exactly Surge, are obsessed with trying to get in Emerald's pants… guy pretty much denies them a lot… Maite is cute but I get why with Surge… lets just say she has both male and female genders… and doesn't care on what gender Emerald is so lets just say he has been guarding his backside… lets say that Surge wouldn't care if you were a hero of Ooo… if you are cute to her, may try and haver her way with you and stuff so that is what I meant by a fate worse than death." Cedric said while he looks amused.
Finn was shocked.
"Seriously?!… Girls can actually have… both?" He said.
Emerald and Cedric blink at this.
"Well not all of them do… Surge has one, Maite doesn't, pretty sure magic would allow her to form one though… shapeshifting women could make one… I mean there is this Flame Queen woman we heard about, the Vampire Queen who can definitely shapeshift from what we heard… may have a thing for the Candy Princess… and we heard that the Candy Princess can shapeshift by remolding her body so who knows…" Cedric said while shrugging his shoulders while Finn was floored by this info…
"All this time they could… shit." Finn said as he just got a big load of information.
"Why are women confusing?"
"That my human friend is the biggest mystery of life sometimes… women are an enigma that you can never truly understand… I mean at least they're not forming cocks and trying to go for those tight buns you have… silver lining unlike this unlucky bloke." Cedric said while Emerald got a tickmark on his head when Cedric mentioned Emerald and his issues with Surge.
Finn sweatdrops.
"Right… maybe I'll avoid the badlands… just in case." He said before shuddering.
"Though where are you guys going?"
"Eh… just about anywhere… no real homes, we just make sure were staying alive and thats about it, occasionally taking merc work for cash and stuff." Cedric said while he sounded hesitant to talk about why he and Emerald was traveling and stuff.
Finn saw the hesitant but tries not to say anything.
"Well… maybe I could join you both. I mean I do want travel to clear my head from the drama I've been dealing. Plus, the three of us do have something common since I believe we all have been dealt a bad hand."
Emerald was quiet at that since he was pretty much an open book thanks to Cedric on Emerald's issues, though Cedric was still an enigma, Cedric did laugh as he pats Finn on the back.
"You're interesting kid… welcome aboard." Cedric said surprisingly.
After this, time passed to Emerald, Cedric, and Finn walking from the Bar after paying their tab.
"So… heading to the badlands or heading elsewhere?" Cedric asked since Finn was mainly the deciding factor if they would head to the badlands or not.
"Hmmm… I still haven't decided… plus I know Emerald doesn't want to see that Surge woman." Finn said as looks at the map again to see if there was any alternate routes.
"Maybe… however unless you have other plans… looks like its Badlands or bust because there are not many places around Ooo by land… some places would have to be on the sea and were far from that." Emerald points out to Finn when he points at the map of Ooo… aside the Badlands and maybe a couple cut off areas… not much going on aside the ocean.
"Probably right. Would be a few days before we get to the ocean. So I guess badlands it is. Who knows, could find a buried dungeon in the sand." Finn said.
"Either that or bandit bases… for now we should get going and stuff, who knows, at the checkpoint could get a map, the receptionist is nice to me and may give the latest one." Emerald said as he walked away while Cedric looks amused.
"She likes the cat ears and tail he has." Cedric said…
"I heard that!" Emerald said making Cedric chuckle a few times.
Finn couldn't help but chuckle.
"Well let's get going." He said.
"Right." Cedric said though as Finn followed Emerald… Cedric gained a more stoic look on his face while he had a thought… he never told Finn why he was traveling with Emerald… and Emerald didn't say anything thanks to how long Emerald knew Cedric… but one thing was clear, as Cedric followed Finn… he had this thought since all this talk brought up some memories he really didn't want to remember.
'My love… I wished you believed me.'
After this happened… the group was walking for hours as they came up to a large building that looked to be made by various kingdoms… when they saw it…
"OK… lets set up camp and wait for sunset… as Cedric would say… the cuter I look the better." Emerald said while shaking his head though Finn was confused on why they can't enter now as Cedric reminds Finn…
"Remember the ears and tail thing?... effect is boosted when Emerald changes… you'll see what I mean… may as well see if your prepped for the badlands as well before we get there… mainly a desert filled place so going to be hot and stuff." Cedric said while he grins at Finn.
"Well I've been to some parts of the badlands, never further though but I like a challenge." Finn said with a smirk.
"Ever stayed there for an entire night without having to worry about Hyena's trying to eat you in your sleep?" Emerald said while he looks at Finn as Cedric looks at Finn as well.
"Yeah… don't think Badland monsters or animals will be a walk in the park… make most Ooo bound monsters weak in comparison… especially since they don't use Eco." Cedric said as he moved to set up camp nearby with Emerald's help as Finn blinks at the word Eco.
"Eco?" Finn said with a confused look.
"Think of it as land based magic people in the badlands can channel… use it enough and gives you an elemental ability based on the Eco you use… for example, Cedric can use Electric Eco… gives him a speed and reaction boost to things since he mainly uses it for boosting his body's physical attributes… Surge like her name says, uses it in a similar manner but much stronger… rumors say she bathes in the stuff, can even launch lightning bolts from her fingertips… some label her as having unlimited power over Blue Eco like she lives over a source of the stuff." Emerald said while he looks at Finn as he worked to set up a campfire.
Finn was surprised.
"Wow that sounds cool." He said.
"Yeah but be careful if you see pits of Dark Eco… unless you trained hard to withstand small amounts… that kind of Eco either kills those who are lucky in a quick fashion… or mutate you into a different being entirely… those trained can use Dark Eco in small amounts to use dark powers for devastating effects but again… since you're not trained in the stuff, don't even try using it… other Eco is easy to use and using a particular elements will give you a power over time, but Dark Eco is a double edged sword unless your VERY careful." Emerald said while he seemed to know alot about it.
"Yikes… then I better be careful if I find any." Finn said.
"Hopefully that won't come to happen… anyway we may as well get to hunting since I got a fire going… after this happens we should get ready to go to the badlands after we eat and stuff." Emerald said while he stands after the campfire was lit.
"Cool. It's hunting time!" Finn said.
After this, Finn worked with Emerald and Cedric to get some food and as the guys ate food… Cedric looks amused when he saw that the sun was about to set.
"It's almost night time guys. Better make sure we turn in early." Cedric said.
"Not quite, remember we have to get to the badlands and use my altered form remember?" Emerald said to remind Cedric this campout was mainly for waiting and to eat and stuff and wait for Emerald to change which would happen soon.
"Oh right of course." Cedric said as Finn munched on his food.
As this happened, Emerald got up and moved to the tent.
"Be right back, I'll exit after my change, need to change clothes as well since my outfit is not enchanted to alter." Emerald said as he moved to get in the tent while Cedric ate more food.
Finn was quiet for a bit but didn't say anything as he finished eating his meal.
As this happened, when the sun sets, the tent glows for a moment and showed Emerald's body as a silhouette shrinking and what not… after this changing sounds were heard as rummaging was going on.
Finn was actually curious on what Emerald would look like if he turned into a female.
After a minute or two… the tent opened and Finn blinks in shock when he saw not a human looking person but… a full on Cat man…?... Honestly with the curves the figure had, the shorts, a tank top, and simple looking boots… honestly calling the figure a man was nearly impossible to consider and as Finn stares…
"Hey I know I may look cute but I'm still a guy Finn… its me Emerald if you forgot." The Cat man said with a cute almost womanly voice while having their hands on their hips while giving Finn a raised eyebrow like look.
Finn blinks again.
"S-Sorry. You just…" he said as Cedric chuckles.
"Trust me kid, you're not the only one."
Emerald on their end puffed out their cheeks in a cute looking huff before he moved to get a bite to eat and the trio worked to get full so they wouldn't have issues in the Badlands later.
Finn felt awkward as he looks away while trying to focus on his meal which amuses Cedric more.
After the group finished their meal… they put the campfire out and got things cleaned up…
"OK… now ready to enter the Badlands Finn?" Emerald said while he looks up at Finn… thanks to his form altering, he was now shorter than Finn.
Finn blinks at the height.
"S-Sure." He said.
Emerald rolls his eyes before he walked from Cedric and Finn while Emerald puts a cloak on but left his head uncovered… this had the group approach the building and comically enough…
"Oh so cute!" the receptionist said while she was rubbing Emerald's cheeks while he was fighting with all his might to not smack the hands of a nice if a bit overbearing woman away while Cedric was fighting not to laugh at the sight.
Finn covers his mouth as he snickers at this sight while the receptionist loved how cute Emerald was.
Emerald grumbles more before he head hugged.
"P-Please… all we want is to get in the Badlands and get an up to date map…" Emerald grumbles while he tried to reason with the receptionist.
"Aww okay." The receptionist said with a cute pout as she gave Emerald a new map.
As Emerald takes the map while he blushed more, thanks to other people being more controlled and stuff… Finn, Emerald, and Cedric were now in a large area that led to the badlands and this time… Cedric just busts out laughing now that he was out of the building and Emerald looked like he was blushing up a storm and more.
"Man that never gets old!" Cedric said as he laughs more.
"SHUT IT!" Emerald yelled while he looks at Cedric with a comically angered look on his face though Finn couldn't help it when he laughs now fully.
"This is so funny!" Finn said as he held his gut.
Emerald grumbles as he starts walking to a Vendor who had some rental vehicle of sorts… looks like a large dune buggy.
"Oh nice!" Finn said as he got excited at the vehicle.
"Yeah well considering how large the Badlands are, will either need a Dino Leaper or a buggy like this to survive by getting places fast… enchanted to repair itself from damage as long as the parts that need fixing are near one another and if we don't pay some gold in this slot here, buggy goes back to this guy here…" Emerald said when he points at a coin slot on the buggy for gold coins and stuff while the Vendor grins at the customers he had…
"Wait, Dino leapers?" Finn said.
"We'll explain during the ride." Cedric said.
"Yeah… the initial payment is 100 gold coins… a bit steep but given that this thing is enchanted and what not, makes it a high value item to have… depending how long its rented though, becomes ours officially once the cash is paid off, the rental fee is mainly a combo of a rental like I said to full on ownership… takes a lot though so most just prefer to pay small amounts of coin when its in their care." Emerald said while he had a cute serious look on his face.
"Hehe, right you are cutie." The Vendor said.
Emerald blushed from this as Cedric smirks.
"Hehe, well why not try and get this cuties V-Card, she may love it a-UGH!" Cedric tried to say as Emerald's fur darkened and he elbowed Cedric's gut making Cedric fall back in a comical way… Emerald calms himself while shaking his head at Cedric's antics.
Cedric groans as Finn gulps.
'Note to self: don't piss off Emerald.' He thought.
"Miss, sorry for him, he says the dumbest things." Emerald said while he looks at the rental buggy owner with a calm looks now
"Oh no worries. Most idiots have to learn." The Vendor said which made Cedric frown as he gets up.
"I know, but hey guy is married and means well, trust me he is a good guy, knows electric eco as well… if you accept deals, why not ask him for a fun time?, may not even ask for a discount but maybe… increased times before payments?, would be helpful for us since we may go in long dungeons and stuff in the badlands and you know how deep some go." Emerald said while he rubs his chin.
The Vendor was thoughtful as Finn was surprised.
"You're married?" He said.
Cedric grumbles.
"Maybe getting a divorce soon… really don't want to talk about it kid." Cedric said while he rubs his stomach a bit.
Finn gulps.
"Oops." He said as he helped pay for the rental.
After Finn did, Emerald looks at Cedric.
"May as well put on the charm and stuff, try and let her feel up your body or something so she would humor having fun with you and stuff." Emerald said while he gestured for Cedric to approach the female shopkeeper… she did look pretty good and stuff.
Cedric was thoughtful but given things… he goes with it and approaches the shopkeeper.
When she did… she looks at Cedric with a hum.
"Hmmm… not bad… not cute like the cutie there and not like the… Kid… as you call him… your pretty rugged and got some good muscle... And electric Eco huh?... bet your wife enjoyed that…" The shopkeeper said while she rubs a finger on Cedric's muscles.
Cedric tries to not look sour.
"She did." He said.
The Shopkeeper noticed this and smirks.
"Sorry if I said something wrong… maybe while you're working for that deal… I let you fuck my ass while you really don't hold back… I am a Badlands born and raised bitch after all." The Rental keeper said while she smirks teasingly at Cedric while rubbing his chin to mess with him.
Cedric blushes before smirking.
"Like the sound of that."
"Nice… follow me handsome and lets see if you can earn that delayed payment thing." The Rental keeper said as she walked from Cedric… she looked like a walking hedgehog humanoid with pointy quills on her head… had a plump but tough body and had one hell of an ass that sways in Cedric's view.
Cedric growls as he follows the shop keeper making Finn blink before looking at Emerald.
"So… we just wait?
"Pretty much… so… that BMO thing you have plays games?" Emerald said while he looks curiously at Finn and his bag with BMO in it as BMO popped their head out with a smile.
"Oh yes. BMO has many games." BMO said with a smile.
"Nice… lets use a tent or something and see if you have any two player games." Emerald said while gesturing for Finn to follow him.
Finn did so while BMO was excited to be played with new faces.
As this happened, the scene shifts to one final scene showing that in Ooo currently…
"Ugh… where is Finn?... He is not answering his phone." Bubblegum said while she rubs her head… comically enough Marceline was floating nearby and she rolls her eyes.
"Why are you so worried about Bonnie. Not like you need him for something." Marceline said.
Bubblegum sighs when she looks at Marceline.
"But I do… Finn is a hero to many and more importantly he helps my kingdom mainly, just a few hours ago, a group of thugs robbed one of my banks and my banana guards couldn't stop them and don't get me started on collateral that happened with the Candy people hurt… not only that, he is a friend Marceline… I mean sure what Finn did with Ice King was messed up, but can you look me in the eyes and blocking him out if your life is the best option?... I mean aside the Ice King being used like that, which we still didn't get a full on reason for, some reports say that Ice King started things with Finn and Flame princess on their date near the border of the Ice Kingdom so can't say it was fully Finn's fault things escalated and stuff… and before you snap at me, yes I know it was wrong for him to do that but when you kicked Finn and Jake from their homes and force Finn to be your minion and Jake tried to kill you… think Finn held a grudge from those times and stuff?" Bubblegum said when she gave Marceline a half lidded look before she looks at her phone and rubs her head with worry.
Marceline didn't say anything as she grumbles a bit from the logic.
"And need I remind you Finn and Jake helped you with your dad and the amulet thing mentioned?... all in all… while being mad at Finn is OK for a time… can you look me in the eyes and tell me he deserves all this?... people around Ooo despise Finn now… Finn and Flame Princess broke up… I'm worried he may have done something… drastic…" Bubblegum said with worry on her face when the drastic part could mean anything… and many not good.
Marceline maybe mad at Finn but… was not heartless.
"Alright. We'll check on him."
Bubblegum smiles at this.
"Thanks Marceline… I'll get ready to go now so I'll see you in the throne room." Bubblegum said when she moved to her closet to grab some stuff… and a first aid kit just in case… this left Marceline with her thoughts on what could have happened to Finn if Bubblegum couldn't get in touch with him.
'You better not have offed yourself Finn. Or else things will get worse.' Marceline thought.
As Marceline flew to the throne room to wait for Bubblegum… the scene slowly fades to black while things would be interesting for many soon… Finn with his time in the badlands for how long this trip will be… and Bubblegum and Marceline when they find out he is gone…
