In my mind I made hundreds even thousands of simulations before activating the signal that brought the batarians here, most were more likely to end with some little incursion or battle that could end rapidly, and then I could escape from this planet fast after I had processed the ruins of the ships that probably were going to be alliance and batarians, but what I didn't expect is that instead of that its see a full space battle occurring in the orbiting of the planet it was incredible to see and not something I want they to notice me move so they shoot me and a reaper destroyer can withstand the entire firing of a fleet the battle of ranoch make that clear when one of those things tolerate four rounds of heavy artillery (five if the Normandy its take in count)

But one problem are here, how can I take the things of the batarians without making the entire fleet to lock me with their weapons, it's obviously for both that the most important menace was the other so this need to do it discreetly I need think little for that I have the drones, but I need puppets, something that the batarians when they see a thing flying don't scream "An old IA is waking up fire it before it kill us" and more like "Those buffoons must have activated the old ship that was the ruins and ... try to escape" that its of course why I don't think about it the slaves I could use those guys has cover to escape this planet next time I think that before kill them but hey no one is perfect not even the catalyst or is old masters the leviathans so let's get to work

Theria was once an Asari that believed in the asari supremacy as all matrons where after all she just has four hundred years and believed that the other species where just hostile initially but when generation past they were going to be more passive that's why he came back to the colony of Lorek still in his maiden ages to help grow the young asari colony and maybe one day made it one member of the Asari republics and in the frontier in the terminus system nonetheless
An illusion that shattered when the batarians launch their offensive en 1913 changed that
Like locust in a field batarians ships out of nowhere launch an invasion against the colony, batarians raids are nothing new to all who lived in the frontier but a full invasion against an asari colony was a clearly different thing even with their biotic powers the colony was just that a colony with little defense and what have it was against raids not full invasions, the colony fell rapidly under batarian occupation
First Theria think was a raid to capture slaves like always the batarians do, but the days, the weeks and the month pass and finally the notice arrive the council only took this situation as a minor diplomatic incident and let the batarians control the colony like nothing was happening
That broke Theria fate
She can't believe it, an entire colony just past to the hands of the batarians like nothing was happening and was just a minor incident, asari letting fellow asari just being slaves by the batarians, Theria understand it when was ships that go to the terminus systems but this ! , letting an entire colony full of families just fall in the hands of batarians slaves like them, Theria swear that if she gets out of here never again are going to trust the Asari republic ever again
And yeah in the beginning he hoped to this could change over the years, try little opportunity for escape, but escape after escape she was recaptured thanks to that cursed slave chip inside his brain that always make the batarians easy to relocated and recaptured after a few decades was finally considered useless by the batarians and sold to the slave market and falling here in the hands of a batarian noble who only uses it like meat canon
But that is not enough to break the spirit of Theria of course not after all he could not have an omnitool to understand what the hell the batarians were screaming in the distance after all the sounds of the fire guns of the ships could be heard even in this distance probably a battle between batarians Theria think
"Hey we should use this opportunity to get us out of here" Theria in a confidence tone said only to be answered for a fellow slave a turian in this case "For what, to again finish electrocuted by the batarians, deal with Theria where are not going to get our of here soon"
To only Theria answer "You are a turian, you people are the military backbone of this galaxy, how can you be so pathetic ?" to which the turian only answers "Because nobody here are soldier, I was a merchant most the people here where are just merchant or even just travelers with bad luck with be in the wrong location before the batarians capture us and definitely are not going to be killed because you want to escape again, just be quiet, and maybe they will forget that we exist in the first place" said the turian clearly depleted of all motivation to escape the air in the cell where of shame and self-pity but not Theria she even it was in ages to be a matron has the will of a maiden trying to escape even with the help of the other slaves which only see as she continues try to use his biotic powers even if the ship in his brain send a pulse every time she tried to use it once again failing to do use it
"Dammit" answer Theria to this fail it was exhausted and painful every time that try it and fail his body was left exhausted and in pain by the electric pulse, gladly was not an important damage the chips only send a pulse to stop the biotic not to damage the body of the slaves
But before she continued his try to escape he could hear as the batarians guards rapidly take out their weapons ready to fire, in the beginning Theria think once again where are going to beat she for try to escape, but the guards instead fire against the entrance of the room like something was invading the ship and that scared Theria, who could invade a slave cargo ship more than other slavers in these systems, perhaps the batarians made a mistake and make it to a council patrol ship who could save them
But a clear surprise was for Theria when the batarians fall dead in front of all the slaves and their saviors where
Drones !?
In the same time in the front line in orbit (Garek)
To say the things where not lookin good was simple as say a Varen has Teeth
Even with the civilian ships using has canon folder to stop the main pirate weapons for attack the military ships in his fleet still the presure of the figthers even if his own figthers are attacking theirs their are still outnumber and the worse is that the bastards have tricks betwen the figthers , some are equiped to be remotley control to crash against the ships and explode making it practically suicidal figthers wich wasnt so bad if it wasnt for the bombs that thos figthers have inside of they , those thing when blow up consume a relevant portion of the energy of the shield letting the shield of the ships weakend for the real figthers to come and fire against the hull of the ship
And because of their numbers and the fact that the figther of the pirates looks all the same its imposible for the figthers or even the scanners of the ships to discover witch figther where controled by pirates or by IV so one could not figure out witch fighter where a suicide bomb until the figther change direction to the ships
Has the hearing of another explosion sound in the distance Garek rapidly ask to this second in comand "Boris how much time the other fleets will take to come , we just lost another civilan ships because of those damn figthers !"
"The more local fleet will take thirteen minutes to come sir they are make it evrything they could but the ezzo reactor need to descharge after the jumps they made or they are going to be easy prey for the pirates" Boris answer
"Then how about the forces in land are we hearing notice of them !?" Ask Garek in a mix of anger and panic

"Then tell the four active to shoot those damns figthers in sky , made against tank or not , still they have AA functions so tell them to make it work" Garek said in anger
The battle was not going in the batarian favor as the Terminus fleet continued his pushing against his fleets they were like a swarm of wasps small, resilient, and painful even if his civilian ships were evacuated and left to be used as a shield for the military fleet they still received damage from the fighters, and weapons of the terminus ships that outmaneuvered his ships
That is what he hated about the Terminus ships while the Batarian have more dense hulls to resist the impact of explosives or attack from other ships the Terminus systems ship were fast equipped with PEM missiles and interference systems that make it almost impossible to communicate outside the system
So while the batarians are good at receiving the frontal punch the terminus are good at staving in the back, a bad combination to fight

Say Garek trying to raise the morale of his soldiers, but even he knew that this was going to be a hard battle
Terminus Pirate Fleet
Sokaror was having a field day in this system, not only did the batarians do exactly what he predicted they would do but also was the first to enter the flagship of this batarian noble
Maybe he was not a salarian to know strategy or a turian to have those elegant ships but one thing that never has to be underestimated a Krogan way of adapting to the battlefield where they deployed, and this system was easy to see that only a blind salarian could not see the priorities of the enemy
The lesser number means that he had to protect his military ships with his civilian ships in the hope that reinforcement would arrive, little did the batarian know that his mole was sabotaging his communications for the rest of the batarians fleet all was clear there was going to be no reinforcement to save them for his fleet
Now that was in his ships, the fun could begin, and as took out a grenade against a squad of batarians that were coming to stop getting out his men he happily said "Alright boys, who are ready to bring some chaos to some squalid batarian noble" to which the crew that accompanies in the shuttle in a mix of vorchas and other krogans rapidly answers with screams while ready their guns for the fun "Remember we need him alive to receive the pay the rest can be killed or even capture who knows maybe some people are more valuable than just varren shit" Sokaror finish to say to which his crew only answers with laughter and begin to fire to the batarians
The squad of Sokaror was one of the eighth shuttles that landed on the enemy ship he knew the numbers in a cruiser were not in his favor but for that, he only brought the best of the best of his men krogans like him that were easily going to punch through any defensive line that they have and vorchas who maybe don't have much brain even for krogans standards, but the bastards are less cost in terms of medical assistance they regenerate of damages that to others where lethal, they were the perfect canon folder and the krogans his shock troopers to close combats perfect formation be put in assault shuttles
Without time to lose, the Terminus pirates don't lose the opportunity and begin to march inside the ship battling against squad after a Squad of military batarians is intercepted by him and his men, leaving the pressure on the other shuttle and making it easier to advance
The batarian military doesn't stand a chance against his soldiers, yeah they have more elegant equipment and new hardware for combat, but when you have an angry krogan battle master advancing against you with only a rifle or with luck a shotgun to stop him because the space its too small for grenades to be launch with damage also the ship and yourself, yeah its wasn't pretty to be a batarian marine in this kind of situation
Only when began to approach the engine or even the hangars did the offensive begin to halt in the ship and was more likely because of automatic torrents and mechs that the batarian soldiers but Sokaror was not going to be stopped by this
"We can't advance too much firepower batarians have" said a Vorcha next to him before being killed by a direct bullet of one of the mechs that pass through the cover to which he only answers "Dammit these guys are thought more than expected, but not unexpected brings the main guns boys," said he to take a rocket launcher and making his soldiers use cover fire to distract the mechs, he rapidly screams "Eat this you son of a varren" to pull the gun and fire the rocket direct to the side of the mechs make it useless and make it clear to one of his soldiers next to him to launch a grenade against a torrent make it explode to make it the rest of the pirates scream in happiness now that two of the more inconvenient defense are shut down they can finally get out of the tight corridors of the ship and enter to the hangar where they can use the heavy weaponry without the worry of being damaged by friendly fire
"Come on guys, let's clear this place, so our reinforcement can descend," said while his troops just finished the remaining batarians it was like Christmas to these pirates unlike the batarians who were in the hangar which mostly depended on automatic defenses because where engines or simple pilots the pirates have the heavy weaponry miniguns and grenade which make the battle a one-slide massacre to the batarians who don't evacuate in time to others halls and while Sokaror was happy of good destruction like any reasonable krogan he knew he has a work to do so shot the cameras surrounding him to finally pull his and in the communicator in his ear "Hey Mole where are you right now in the hangars give us the code so we could Land more of our troops"
"Yeah yeah the code" said a rapid voice from the other side even with a distortion system it was probably a salarian or a scared mole of being shot by someone, little did the mole know if not pass the code soon Sokaror while begin to think of shot it himself when this all mess was over after all as any reasonable terminus pirate do his loyalty lies where the money was, when the transaction is finished he can easily shoot his ex-client its bad business if was someone like I don't know turians, salarians or even asari, but batarians? , even the terminus system knew the traitors that they were, so nobody usually cared if you shot someone who was once your client
"The code is 7-9-4-6" Said the mole to which Sokaror rapidly pressed the codes in the security lockdown to take down the barrier that stops ships from entering the ship and just leave the barrier that maintains the atmosphere of the ship intact leaving go through little shuttles full of vorcha and batairan pirates which with the door open like locust begin to descend Sokaror begin to organize the new squads sending them to the engine and the rooms of the crew of the ship to make pressure against the already thin batarian forces and clear the way for his elite troops to assault the command center and finally capture this ship

"They pass the corridor eighth they approach to the crew's rooms"

But what must have surprised him was the deactivation of the defense of the hangar he knew the ship was lost, but he was not going to run, not knowing that a mole was not only in his ship but also in his command center because only they knew the codes to deactivate the security of the hangar of the ship so knowing that even if he was surrounded and escape was not an option because probably where pirates waiting for that to do it
His only answer was the next "Prepare the evacuation of the ship and prepare my personal escaped pod" said Garek to begin to evacuate the command center in front of him could only be seen fighters combat against each other and the pirates behind him were closing to catch him fast he needs to escape now if he wants to survive and as the batarians go to the respective pods he runs to his room to take the things that could before escape letting two of the soldiers protecting the entrance before it was to latte
and as it was packaging his thing rapidly two shots could be heard in the entrance of his room it was too fast and too little to be pirates they would scream and full of holes in the door and the soldiers in the process probably the mole trying to kill him using the chaos to cover his tracks, but Garek was ready for combat rapidly taking out his gun and taking cover has he see his doors being open he could only see clouds of the damages pipes that make it difficult to see a shadow approach of the smokes to finally see….
And cut yeah that will be all to know I make a chapter extra large to prepare everything for the Outcome of the battle of Jartar, I will try to make more large battles in the future, but this was like the practice if something seems rush or just to odd, just text in the comments and probably i will take it in count as I write this fanfic
