"Actually, " interjected Harry with a wide smile and his eyes glowing, "Surprise!"

Next nanosecond, Ginny Weasley walked in.

"MOM!" cried James, Albus, and Lily happily.

"Merry Christmas, " said Ginny brightly.

"Merry Christmas, " responded James, Albus, and Lily merrily.

"I had a change of heart, " said Ginny matter of factly, "I'm still going to go on a cruise. However, I decided to postpone my cruise until a later date so I could be home for Christmas. "

"Ginny's been staying at George's and Angelina's house the last few days, explained Harry, "It was nice for her to visit her brother for a few days and I was able to make her return a surprise for you!"

"Mom, " said Lily, gratefully "Thank you for choosing to be home for Christmas."

""Yeah, we're overjoyed to have you home for Christmas, mom, " added James.

"This Christmas just got nine hundred octillion watts brighter, " smiled Albus.

"As the day of my scheduled departure approached, something kept feeling off to me, " explained Ginny, "I searched my true heart of hearts thoroughly and realized that missing Christmas in a year where my kids are still kids is was both the wrong thing to do and not what I wanted to do."

"You made the right decision, mom, " said Lily matter of factly, "I honestly believe that if you had missed a Christmas with us to go on a cruise you would have regretted it down the road."

"That was the biggest thing that came to me during my own heart to heart examination with myself, " said Ginny sincerely, "I'm a truly lucky woman and a truly lucky mom to have three such wonderful children. Not only would I have regretted missing out on this Christmas if I had gone on that cruise but being here for this Christmas gives me the wonderful opportunity to create a lasting memory."

"Exactly, " said Lily brightly, "And good on you for listening to your heart."

"Mom's always said in the past that she's glad Hogwarts now closes for Christmas," remembered James, "She's even said that Arthur and Molly regret not having their kids home for Christmas more often. She always said in the past how grateful she was to always have us kids home for Christmas."

"Absolutely, " confirmed Ginny, "I have the opportunity to get it right and I can't afford not to take advantage of it. I thought about that too. I thought about the opportunity and how I must take advantage of it. I can always go on a cruise while you lot are away at school."

"It will be a merrier Christmas because you are with us, mom, " said Albus happily, "But why did you want to go in that cruise in the first place?"

"I just want to go on a cruise, " said Ginny simply, "But there are better times to do it."

"I'm glad you made the decision that will make you happy and that you thought it out, " Lily told Ginny.

"I'm glad for all of you too, " smiled Ginny, "Family at Christmas is the way it should be."

At that, they all just exchanged smiles.
