Normally, Lily would have had a fourth class as part of her Tuesday-Thursday mix. However, James's first class as Wandmaking Teacher had been postponed until the following Tuesday because James needed more time to prepare. Lily was the only Gryffindor in this inaugural Wandmaking class, and she was looking forward to both the class itself and seeing who from the other houses were taking the class.

Still, Lily was glad to see that James was making the responsible decision not to rush into the class before he was fully prepared. This was a good sign to Lily that James was a good teacher because he was responsible enough to make sure he was fully prepared before introducing anything to his students.

While Lily would have to wait a few more days for James's s Wandmaking classes, there was a very nice surprise waiting for her later that night.

Upon entering her room around 10 P.M. she saw a letter that had already been delivered lying on her bed.

Glancing at the letter on her bed, Lily's heart kept when she recognized whose handwriting she was seeing.

This letter was from Ainsley.

Before she even read the letter, Lily felt her insides radiate with warmth.

Actions always spoke louder than words and Ainsley was proving through her action of taking the time to write to Lily that she still highly valued Lily's friendship despite the physical distance between.

This meant everything to Lily, and she felt her eyes well up with emotion.

Picking up the letter and taking her time to read it slowly, Lily read:

Dear Lily:

Hi! It's Ainsley here! I hope your return to Hogwarts has been happy and successful. I'm happy with the beginning of my time at The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing. I haven't had any classes yet. Today new students at The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing were given what I thought was a very helpful orientation session. The very first thing this new student orientation included was a slow guided tour of the campus of The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing. Not only was this guided tour of the campus of The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing slow paced, but it was given three times instead of just once. This was a very useful experience because doing slowly allowed the students time to take in what was where and really that to sink in in our minds and repeating it a second time and then a third time really let us fully internalize it all. We were also given an overview of what our curriculum is going to be like. The heart of third and fourth year curriculum at the Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing is learning about the different types of injuries, illnesses, and diseases, both muggle and magical. Third and fourth year students at The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing learn the names of all injuries, illnesses, and diseases and learn what symptoms are attributable to each injury, illness, or disease. Then in fifth and sixth years we will learn about the cures. The structure of our education here is basically, learn about the injuries, illnesses, and diseases and their symptoms first and once we've mastered that, then learn about the cures. In seventh year, we will be given simulations to prove that the we can identify injuries, illnesses, and diseases and prescribe and perform the appropriate cures for them. At the end of seventh year, each individual student must pass a rigorous test to be granted immediate certification to become a Healer. In addition to learning about injuries, illnesses, and diseases, which will be on schedule every day, we also will be given once a week instruction in the subjects of Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures, History of Magic, Ancient Runes, Astronomy, and Magical Transport. Every day we spend some time on learning about diseases and then have two other subjects. We have a five day week. It's a well crafted balance between a well rounded education and focusing on our core mission. I have to say, mom and Rachel have really me with the transition to starting at The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing. Mom helped me unpack and set up my room when I arrived here. Rachel, meanwhile, has been sitting with me at mealtimes and having an old friend here has really given a sense of comfort as I've arrived at my new environment. I'm eager to get to work as I embark on the journey that will ultimately allow me to follow in mom's footsteps as a Healer. I look forward to telling you more about my experiences as a student at the Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing when The Circle of Eighteen convenes at Hogwarts on the last Saturday in September as well as hearing about how your third year at Hogwarts is going. I am so thankful to all of you for making sure I could continue to be a part of The Circle of Eighteen even after transfering from Hogwarts to The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing. It's such a warm feeling to know that my company is wanted. The physical structure of The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing is very similar to that of Hogwarts but without the whimsical features such as trick staircases and ghosts. The environment here is rightfully much more serious given what we are here for. The staff here largely trusts the student body so we don't have a Code of Conduct or anything like that. The only official rule is that students and staff of The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing are NEVER allowed to have sex. It's been made clear that any staff member who is found to have had sex will be fired and that any student who is found to have had sex will be expelled. Holistically, I'm feeling great about what I've heard so far and I can't wait to get down to business. Looking forward to seeing you later this month.

-Your friend whether far or near.

-Ainsley.

Lily smiled widely.

It just made her so happy to know how much Ainsley still valued their friendship, to look forward to seeing Ainsley later that month, and to know that Ainsley's transition from Hogwarts to The Ultimate University of Wizarding Healing seemed like it was going to be successful.

Lily felt touched and heart warmed by Ainsley's letter.

What a beautiful surprise this letter had been for Lily.
