The day after the wedding.
Sunday afternoon. Lucas' apartment in New York.
Hanna is sitting at the table, working on a new design on her sketchbook when her phone starts buzzing repeatedly. Despite her attempt to ignore it until she finishes her sketch, the persistent notifications grab her attention, and she can't resist taking a look. She finds many texts from her friends in their group chat.
Alison: "Hi, Han! Em and I want all the details from last night."
Aria: "Me too."
Spencer: "Me three. I was just about to text you too, Han. You beat me to it, Ali."
Alison: "Did you have sex?"
Spencer: "Of course she did, duh!"
Alison: "What about you, Spence? How was that wedding night?"
Spencer: "Still recovering from it. LOL"
Aria: "Did you guys stay at the Radley?"
Spencer: "Yeah. Didn't even sleep. We left early in the morning, Finnie was waiting for us at home."
Alison: "Han! Are you there?"
Aria: "Maybe she's still with Caleb."
Alison: "Must be getting dick then. LOL"
Aria: "HAHAHA"
Hanna: "Hey! I'm here! 1) Didn't have sex. 2) Hope you made Finnie's little sister last night, Spence. 3) I wish LOL. I'm not with Caleb, I'm back in NY."
Spencer: "Hey! Stop asking me for another baby, easy for you to say. You're the aunt, you get all the fun and then get to hand them back when things get messy. I'll be the one on duty 24/7!"
Hanna: "It's just that you make adorable babies… and I can't ask Em and Ali, they've already got two… and Aria is already on it."
Spencer: "Maybe you should have the next one, and I'll happily be the doting aunt. And from what I saw last night, that baby could be already on its way. LOL"
Hanna: "I told you I didn't have sex. Guess we will just have to wait for Ari's baby."
Aria: "Yeah, hope the little one comes out soon… I can't bear being pregnant anymore. My feet are so swollen after wearing heels… I think I won't be able to wear any shoes at all for the next month."
Alison: "Really, Han? Why not? (I'm Em)."
Spencer: "Sorry to hear that, Ari. Hold on, it's just a little while more. The last month is the hardest, but it's totally worth it. I promise."
Aria: "Thanks, Spence :)"
Alison: "We are still waiting for the details, Han. What did you two do if you didn't have sex?"
Hanna: "Hold on, I'll send you a voice message."
Spencer: "Yes, please."
Hanna: [Voice Message] "We didn't have sex because I want to take things easy, we still need to figure out how to move forward because I'll have to stay here in New York at least for another month and well… it's kind of complicated. But anyway, last night was just perfect, guys. I felt like it was one of our first dates. We got drive-thru and he took me to this beautiful place from where we could see the entire town, and then it started to snow while we were watching the sunrise… It was so romantic… we made out in his car, then we took a nap in the backseat and later he took me to my mom's."
Emily: "Sounds like a beautiful night, Han."
Spencer: "Aww, I just loved that you two got back together at my wedding. You looked so fucking good together last night. And so much happy."
Aria: "Yeah, totally! You looked so cute and so in love."
Hanna: "Yeah, we also talked a lot and… I don't know, there were so many feelings involved... He said so many cute things to me… It was really nice."
Emily: "Why the hell did you go back to New York on a Sunday? You could have stayed one more day here."
Hanna: [Voice Message] "Because I need to catch up with my designs. I didn't have time to design any new dresses back in China because we worked all day long, and I was too tired to do so at night. Also, I have a video call with Lucas and some people from China tonight because it's Monday morning there. So, I'd rather just come back here today. And yes… I also didn't want to stay too much longer in Rosewood because of Caleb. It would have been harder to leave if I saw him again today. I still don't even know how I managed to say goodbye to him last night."
Alison: "So you didn't see him today… I thought he had driven you back to NY."
Hanna: "No, my mom drove me here. She left after lunch. I showed her to my new store… It's starting to look awesome with all the renovations we made, guys. You have to see it too!"
Emily: "Sure! We will be there for the grand opening, Han!"
Spencer: "Of course, we will be there! But you could send us some pics to see how it's going."
Hanna: "Yeah, I'll take some pics next time I go there. Well, guys, I've gotta go back to work. See you at Finnie's birthday… oh, what are the plans, btw? It's on Thursday, I need to know to organize my things. I wanna be there."
Spencer: [Voice Message] "My mom organized a dinner with the family on Thursday, and Toby and I were talking about it, and we thought we could do something at our place with you guys on Friday night, so you, Han, could be present too… but now that I think of it... now that you and Caleb are back together, wouldn't it be better to just spend the weekend at the lake house? Are you guys free for the weekend?"
Hanna: "Yeah, sounds great! I'm totally in."
Alison: "Em and I too… and the twins."
Aria: "Ezra and I are in for Finnie's party on Friday night, but we won't stay the night, Spence. I'm feeling a little uncomfortable lately, with the B-side of pregnancy so I'd rather come back home."
Spencer: "Okay, don't worry, Ari. I totally get you. Okay, see you all at the lake house on Friday then. Take care, guys!"
Hanna: "Perfect! See you all soon!"
Alison: "Great! Bye, guys!"

That night, around 9 p.m., Hanna is in the middle of her meeting with Lucas and the Chinese, sitting at the table with her laptop, when her phone starts vibrating on the table.
This time it's Caleb, and as much as she feels like talking to him, she has no other choice but to reject the call.
Hanna: "Hey! I'm in the middle of a meeting. Can I call you later?"
Caleb: "Sure." He accompanies that single word with a red heart emoji.
Hanna smiles and sends him a heart back.
Once she's finally done with the meeting, Hanna moves to the couch and calls him.
Caleb "Hey there!"
Hanna smiles. "Hey!"
Caleb "You've got meetings on Sundays now?" He chuckles.
Hanna "It's actually Monday in China… but it's just for today. We are finally done with the arrangements. And the idea is that the people we hire here in New York also coordinate everything with this company in China, so I won't have to stay in touch with them."
Caleb "So when is the first shipment of dresses arriving?"
Hanna "It's going to take some time… Lucas has a guy taking care of the importation paperwork. I brought with me one of the dresses that they made for a quality test, though. Lucas was right, the quality is very good, the fabric is right the one I had chosen, and they followed my instructions perfectly."
Caleb "That's great, Han!"
Hanna "Yeah… Well, enough talking about my job… When are you coming over?"
Caleb smiles. "I have a meeting tomorrow at the office. How about Tuesday? Does it work for you?"
Hanna "I'll be busy during the day, but… maybe you can come after work and spend the night? Lucas is not coming back until Wednesday."
Caleb "Sure… I'll be there on Tuesday after work then."
Hanna "Okay, I'll be looking forward to it."
Caleb grins. "I miss you already."
Hanna "I miss you too."
They fall silent for a few seconds.
Hanna sighs. "Just talking on the phone isn't enough now after having seen each other…"
Caleb "Yeah… kind of sucks… I mean, I love talking to you, but…"
Hanna "It's not enough." She repeats.
Caleb "Uh huh… I need you here with me."
Hanna "Wanna hang up and just meet up on Tuesday?"
Caleb "No, let's keep talking."
Hanna "Okay…"
Caleb "I think Chocolate caught your smell when I got home because he wouldn't leave me alone, he kept sniffing me like crazy, specially my jacket."
Hanna smiles. "I miss him so much."
Caleb "More than me?"
Hanna "Yeah, that's why I got his initial tattooed on my finger." She teases.
Caleb laughs.
Hanna "Did you like it?"
Caleb "I loved it, I told you last night. Now that finger of yours has just become another of my favorite parts of your body…"
Hanna "Oh, and which ones would be your other favorite parts?" She playfully asks.
Caleb "Your mouth, definitely, your eyes, well, your entire face for what matters, your boobs… and well, you can imagine the other one left."
Hanna smiles amused. "I don't know what you mean, give me a clue…"
Caleb "That other place where I love kissing you that isn't your mouth…"
Hanna "Gosh, Caleb…" She lets go of a deep breath. "Let's go back to talking about my job, I can't handle this conversation anymore…"
Caleb laughs again. "Yeah, tell me about it… I had to handle you in that dress last night…"
Hanna "It was an original Hanna Marin."
Caleb "Really? Thought you wouldn't wear one of your dresses."
Hanna "Yes, but the dress I was supposed to wear for the wedding was here in New York, so I had no other choice. I wasn't even wearing gold like the girls, didn't you realize?"
Caleb "Not really, wasn't it the same?"
Hanna "Nope, mine was pink gold."
Caleb "Oh… You girls with your made-up colors."
Hanna chuckles. "You guys with your limited color palette."
Caleb "Anyway, I'm glad your original dress got stuck in New York because I totally loved your original Hanna Marin sexy dress."
Hanna smiles. "I'll wear it again… just for you, baby."
Caleb "Fuck, Han." He sighs. "So, what were you telling me about your dresses from China?" He jokes.
Hanna laughs.
Caleb "If you keep teasing me like this, I'll get in my car and drive straight there."
Hanna "I'm sorry, I couldn't help it."
Caleb "What are we doing on Tuesday? Wanna go out for dinner?"
Hanna "Yeah, that would be nice… Like on a date?"
Caleb "Yes, it's a date."
Hanna "Can't wait."
Caleb "And what are we doing after dinner?" He asks, in a flirting tone.
Hanna "If you don't want me to tease you, then don't provide such tempting material. Stop asking things like that, it's hard not to be tempted."
Caleb chuckles. "Okay… just wanted to know if I should behave myself… I mean, you said you wanted to take things easy last night, but now you are saying all these… hot things, so…"
Hanna "I wanna be back with you in that way too… but… I just need to know how we'll move forward from now on. I mean, it's getting harder to be without you after last night… Imagine if we had also made love. I need to know what to expect next because I'll have to stay here for at least another month, and… it's getting harder."
Caleb "Yeah… I get you, Han… We'll talk about this when I'm there. I promise I'll behave myself until we figure it out."
Hanna smiles. "Well… I'll go to sleep now. A hectic week awaits for me tomorrow..."
Caleb "Yeah, I'll take Chocolate out and then I'll go to bed too."
Hanna grins. "To sleep? Or… are you going to 'think' about me in my dress, maybe?"
Caleb laughs. "You can't stop it, can you?"
Hanna laughs too.
Caleb "I thought about you and your dress when I got home after dropping you off if you are so interested to know… you left me… needing some relief."
Hanna "Oh, god… we need to end this call right now." She jokes.
Caleb "Yeah, we do."
Hanna "Okay, I'll see you on Tuesday."
Caleb "See you, baby. Sleep tight."
Hanna smiles. "You too, babe. Bye."
/
It's Monday afternoon and Hanna is purchasing new sewing machines online for her New York workshop when Lisa calls.
Hanna "Hey, Lis! What's up?" She answers, her focus still on her laptop.
Lisa "Hi, Han… I just wanted to let you know that… we are having some stock problems again. Sales have been high today, and well, if we keep this pace, we'll be sold out in a couple of days."
Hanna sighs. "Not again. What happened this time? Another important wedding coming up? A fundraiser event? Is the president coming to Rosewood?"
Lisa "No, but… several of the ladies mentioned Spencer's wedding dress."
Hanna "Oh, yes. It was a hit. Everyone was raving about it during the wedding. Spencer's mom introduced me to a bunch of people. I guess I got quite a bit of publicity."
Lisa "So, what do we do? I asked Anna, and she said she can stay a couple of extra hours, but… we can't keep up, Han."
Hanna "Let me see if I can reschedule my commitments for tomorrow and go there. In the meantime, please stick to the simpler designs to get more dresses ready in less time."
Lisa "Also, Maggie didn't even have time to take her lunch break today."
Hanna "Okay, let her know we are paying her that extra hour, make sure she goes home in time today and… I'll have to find someone else. I never replaced Chloe…"
Lisa "Okay, Han."
Hanna "I'll let you know if I can make it there tomorrow. Just let me know if anything else comes up. Also, check how we are doing with the supplies and let me know if we need to place a new order, especially considering that we'll be making more dresses these days."
Lisa "Sure, I'll have the list ready by tomorrow."
Hanna "Thanks, Lis! For everything! And please, send my thanks to Anna and Maggie for their hard work too."
Lisa "Sure! You are welcome, Han!"
Hanna "Take care, Lis!"
Lisa "See you!"
After ending the call with Lisa, Hanna immediately calls Diane to ask her to reschedule her commitments for the next couple of days.
And as soon as she ends the call with Diane, she calls Caleb.
Caleb "Hey! What's up, Han? Couldn't wait until tomorrow?"
Hanna sighs. "Change of plans."
Caleb "What happened?" He asks, sensing her defeated tone.
Hanna "I'm going to Rosewood myself. My store there needs my attention."
Caleb "What's going on? Anything I can help with?"
Hanna "Unless you know how to sew a dress, nope."
Caleb "Stock problems again?"
Hanna "Yeah, it seems like the ladies from Spencer's wedding decided to clean out my store. I'll have to go there to give Lisa and Anna a hand with the dresses… but still, it won't be enough. And I can't stay there for too long. I have things to take care of here too."
Caleb "Why don't you call Vanessa to help you?"
Hanna "I don't know… Lucas might murder me…"
Caleb chuckles. "Just for some time, I'm sure he'll understand. I mean, it would be temporary, and keeping up the image of your brand is a big deal, isn't it?"
Hanna "Yeah, I guess you are right. I could make her sign another short-term contract for a month. Things hopefully will get better when the new line arrives from China. I'll give Vanessa a call and see if she's free and willing to give us a hand."
Caleb "I'm sure she will be happy to help you."
Hanna "I'm really sorry about our date. I was looking forward to it…"
Caleb "Don't worry, babe. I'll just cancel our reservation, and we can still go out for dinner here in Rosewood... and look at the bright side, you'll get to see Chocolate."
Hanna chuckles. "Oh, yes! I still haven't shown him the tattoo I got for him."
Caleb laughs.
Hanna "Well, I have to go, babe. I was in the middle of purchasing the sewing machines for the workshop here."
Caleb "Okay, go back to that. See you tomorrow, Han."
Hanna "See you."
After finishing her purchase, Hanna packs her suitcase, and that same night, after a quick dinner, she hits the road back to Rosewood.
/
It's Tuesday, late in the afternoon when Caleb arrives at Hanna's store.
Caleb "Hi, Maggie." He greets Maggie while approaching the checkout counter.
Maggie "Oh, hi… Caleb, right?"
Caleb nods.
Maggie "I'm so sorry I didn't let you go upstairs last time. I didn't know you."
Caleb chuckles. "Don't worry, it kind of put me at ease that you didn't let me go up. Not allowing strangers in means that Hanna's store is in good hands."
Maggie smiles at him. "Well, you are allowed in now."
Caleb "Thanks." He says, heading for the stairs.
Reaching the workshop upstairs, Caleb finds all the ladies, including Hanna, working hard on the dresses. Only the sound of the sewing machines fills the place. Hanna is so concentrated hand-sewing a dress that she doesn't even notice Caleb.
Caleb "Hey, beautiful."
Having recognized his voice right away, Hanna looks up with a grin on her face.
Hanna "Hey! What are you doing here?" She asks while standing up from her chair.
Caleb "Saw your car outside and couldn't help stopping by."
Hanna smiles while wrapping her arms around his neck. "Hi, baby."
Caleb "Hi." He says, wrapping his arms around her lower back, already gazing down to her lips.
Hanna plants a tender kiss on his lips. "I'm so happy to see you."
Caleb "Me too." He kisses her lips again.
Hanna lets go of him.
Caleb "Hi, ladies! Working hard, huh?" He greets them too.
As the ladies greet Caleb back, Hanna takes his hand and leads him away for some privacy.
Hanna "I still need to stay here for a little while more…"
Caleb "Yeah, I figured you would stay late. Don't worry. I just got out of the office and couldn't wait to see you. That's all."
Hanna smiles and still holding his hand, she leads him into the bathroom.
Caleb "I know I promised I'd behave myself, but you are making it really hard for me locking us into a bathroom…"
Hanna laughs. "I just need a real kiss."
Letting go of her hand, Caleb takes both of his to her face, cupping her cheeks, he gently pushes her back against the wall while kissing her passionately right from the beginning, catching Hanna off guard. It takes her a moment to react and kiss him back the same way. One of her hands goes straight to the back of his neck while the other finds its place on his waist. As the kiss deepens, Hanna starts scratching her nails against his nape softly, giving him goosebumps.
Hanna "Babe…" She starts saying after a while, still kissing him. "I kind of… have to… go back there." She adds, between kisses.
Caleb kisses her lips one more time before pulling back from her mouth. "I missed you so much." He says while hugging her.
Hanna rests her head on his shoulder, relaxing in his embrace. "Yeah, I know. Missed you too. So, so much."
Caleb breathes into her hair, and her familiar scent keeps him from letting go of her. But Hanna doesn't pull away from the hug either.
Hanna "You know the sooner you let me go back to work, the sooner I'll be free and all to yourself." She says, after a couple of minutes of enjoying that closeness.
Caleb "Fine." He releases her from his grip.
Hanna smiles at him and takes her hand to his face to caress his cheek. "I'll leave here in like an hour, and then I'll go to Lucas' to take a shower and get ready for our date… so, you can pick me up around 8…"
Caleb nods.
Hanna pecks his lips one more time before opening the bathroom door.
Caleb "See you later, baby."
Hanna smiles again. "See you."
Hanna's smile remains on her face as she watches Caleb leave.
/
Five minutes to 8 p.m. The doorbell rings at Lucas' loft and Hanna goes to answer the intercom.
Hanna "Hey, I'm not ready yet. Come up!" She buzzes him in through the intercom.
Caleb "Okay."
Shortly after, Caleb arrives on the second floor, and Hanna opens the door before he can ring the doorbell there.
Hanna "Hey!" She welcomes him wearing a robe, her hair already fixed, and her makeup done. "I just need to get changed. I won't take too long." She explains.
Caleb "It's okay, take your time." He says while stepping inside.
Hanna catches a whiff of his cologne as he passes by her. After closing the door, she approaches him.
Hanna "You look very handsome." She fixes the collar of his shirt and places a tender peck on his lips. "And smell even better." She plants another cute kiss on his neck.
Caleb smiles. "Go get changed before I pull on this belt, and our date never happens." He says, sliding two fingers between the belt and the robe, playfully pulling it a little.
Hanna chuckles. "I'll be right back."
Caleb "Bundle up, babe. It's very cold outside." He warns her as she heads for her room.
/
Later on.
"Are we dining at the Radley?" She asks as Caleb parks his car near the entrance to The Radley Hotel.
Caleb "Yeah… I tried to make a reservation at Rive Gauche, but it was fully booked. And I'm a bit tired of always going to The Grille. I thought it would be a good option to change things up. You don't like it? We could go somewhere else…"
Hanna "No, I do like it… it's just… everyone knows us here. Especially you."
Caleb chuckles. "Everyone knows us everywhere, Han. This is Rosewood…" He points out, turning off the engine.
Hanna smiles. "Yeah, guess you are right."
Caleb "Besides, we are just having dinner, so unless you are planning on doing any inappropriate things, I guess we will be fine."
Hanna laughs. "Let's go." She says, already opening her door.
Caleb gets out of the car as well and joins Hanna, taking her hand as they head for the Radley.
Hanna shivers a little.
Caleb "Told you to bundle up." He says, as Hanna is only wearing a short black dress, with a pair of boots and a leather jacket that isn't enough to keep her warm.
Letting go of her hand and wrapping an arm around her shoulders, he rubs his hand against her arm to warm her up.
Hanna "I just wanted to look pretty for our date… besides, I have you to keep me warm, like the other day..."
Caleb grins and hugs her tighter.
/
Sitting at the table, their food already ordered, Caleb reaches out and takes Hanna's hand.
Hanna smiles and starts caressing his hand. "I got a little homesick back in New York, you know? I made chicken parmesan for me and Lucas... it was pretty good, but not as good as yours." She suddenly shares with him, a little out of the blue.
Caleb "You got homesick?" He smiles too.
Hanna "Yeah, more than once. It's crazy, huh? Of all the places I've lived, your house was the shortest time, just a few months. But I felt at home there…"
Caleb "Our house." He corrects her.
Hanna "Okay, our house. Well, I particularly missed the food you made for me, but I also missed small things like the scent of the soap we use for laundry… it's silly, but I missed it, and I didn't even know the brand you usually buy since you've always taken care of it yourself. I didn't bother to find it at the store because it wouldn't have been the same anyway."
Caleb "I'll be happy to cook for you any of these days..." He grins. "And also to do your laundry." He jokes.
Hanna grins too. "I'll be happy to eat your food again and to let you do my laundry."
Caleb interlaces their fingers together. "I was thinking we could go on a trip together when you are done with New York…"
Hanna "Yeah, totally!" She says, with excitement. "Do you have any particular destination in mind?"
Caleb "Not really, but any place I visit with you will be perfect."
Hanna chuckles. "You're being too cheesy, babe."
Caleb "No, really. I mean it. My trip to Europe wasn't as good as it would have been if you had been there too."
Hanna smiles. "Anywhere that isn't below freezing is okay with me."
Caleb "Okay, I'll look up some options."
Hanna "Speaking of trips. Please, let me know how much my ticket from LA to Philly cost you."
Caleb "What? No way, Han!"
Hanna "Come on, Caleb. I wouldn't even be paying for it myself, that money is coming from the business. We have a specific budget designated for business trips. Please, tell me how much it was, and I'll have the money transferred back to you."
Caleb "Not a chance, Han. Really. I wanted you at that wedding probably way more than you wanted to be there yourself."
Hanna smiles. "But it has nothing to do with it. You didn't have to pay for my ticket."
Caleb "You sent me the suit, and it was a very nice one. I can tell it was pretty expensive as well. So don't worry, we are even. Really, let it go, Han."
Hanna "But the suit was a gift."
Caleb "Okay, consider that ticket a gift from me too."
Hanna "Okay, thank you."
Caleb "Thank you for the suit. It was such a cute gesture from you."
Hanna smiles.

After dinner, the waiter approaches their table to begin clearing it.
Waiter "I hope you enjoyed your meal. Would you like to see our dessert menu?" He offers while picking up the empty dishes.
Caleb gazes at Hanna for an answer.
Hanna "I'd rather have a drink. You?"
Caleb "Yeah, I could use a drink too."
They order their drinks, but before the waiter walks away, Caleb makes a request.
Caleb "Is it okay if we move to that couch over there?"
Waiter "Sure, no problem, sir. I'll take your drinks over there."
Caleb "Thanks."
When the waiter leaves, Hanna gives Caleb a playful look.
Caleb grins and stands up, offering his hand to her. "Couldn't help asking, that's our couch." He explains.
Hanna "Yeah, I remember it." She says, taking his hand, and recalling very well that night when they were just starting to know each other as friends. They shared a lot of things about their lives while having drinks, the same night she ended up staying with him and losing her engagement ring in his bed.
They grab their jackets from the chairs and move to the couch, where they make themselves comfortable, Caleb's arm around Hanna's shoulders as she leans into him.
Caleb "How about a kiss as we wait for our drinks?" He proposes.
Hanna smiles, taking her hand to the side of his face and placing it on his jawline. She gently pulls him into a tender kiss, a relaxed one.
Caleb places his free hand on her leg.
Hanna pulls away after a little while and starts caressing his barely growing beard with her thumb.
Caleb "Is it too raspy?"
Hanna smiles. "Nope, I just like it… I've never liked beards too much, but yours is just perfect. Very short… you look sexy."
Caleb smiles too and leans in for another kiss. Hanna closes her eyes, receiving that soft kiss, enjoying the connection. But she breaks the kiss after a few seconds.
Hanna "Can we talk now about what we are going to do next about us and New York? I really need us to figure it out." She tells him, still caressing his cheek with her thumb.
Caleb "I've been looking for a place for us in New York, Han… there are many options of apartments for temporary rent in Lucas' area. But there's a little problem…" He caresses her leg through the material of her dress.
Hanna stares at him, waiting for him to go on.
Caleb "They don't allow pets… and it makes sense because they are furnished places. So I was just thinking that-"
Hanna cuts him off. "It's fine, Caleb. You don't have to move to New York with me. Let's just see what other options we have. Maybe we can-"
Caleb interrupts her this time. "It's the only option that could allow us to be together most of the time, Han. Why don't you want me to move there with you?"
Hanna rests her head on his shoulder, looking away from him. "Because I don't want you to do something you don't feel comfortable with. I told you I want us to take things easy this time, and doing something you don't really want to do is not a good way to start rebuilding our relationship. I don't want you to have to leave your things here to come after me."
The waiter comes with their drinks, interrupting their conversation.
Caleb "What makes you think I don't want to go with you to New York?" he asks after the waiter walks away.
Hanna remains silent, not wanting to answer.
Caleb "Hanna…" He insists, squeezing her knee.
Hanna "Because you didn't come with me in the first place."
Caleb "You didn't ask."
Hanna "Why did I have to ask you to come with me?"
Caleb "Because you were the one leaving."
Hanna "No, I told you I wouldn't go there at all, that I wouldn't open another store, and then I also told you that my original plan was to drive back and forth and only stay for a few days when necessary. I told you that moving there permanently was never my idea. You suggested that I left and that we took a break."
Caleb "Going with you didn't seem like an option to me only because we were in the middle of a relationship crisis, Han. I thought we would only take our problems with us to New York. That's why I considered a break as a better option… But anyway, I would have gone with you if you had asked me to. And I would also follow you anywhere, even to China, if you ever decided to open a store there, babe."
Hanna "Well, don't worry about that. I'm not going back to China unless I really have to. Getting stuck there was exasperating."
Caleb chuckles. "Back to our matter… as I was saying, most furnished places for rent don't allow pets. But I talked to your mom yesterday, and she said she could take care of Chocolate while we are gone. We could spend working days there in New York and weekends here in Rosewood. I might have to come here for some meetings every so often, but I can work from there most of the time. What do you think?"
Hanna "I think it would be perfect because that way we wouldn't be apart anymore. But… are you sure that's what you want?"
Caleb sighs and moves his hand from her leg to her chin, gently making her look at him. "I want to go to New York, and I want to support you in what's left to finish your project. Would you please let me on board?"
Hanna smiles. "Only under one condition…"
Caleb gazes into Hanna's eyes, a playful smirk on his lips. "And what would be that condition?"
Hanna smirks back, enjoying the banter. "Simple. You have to promise that we'll make up for the lost time… in every sense."
Caleb leans in, brushing his lips against hers. "Care to be more specific?"
Hanna "I want a bunch of kisses every day, tones of cuddling, and… to make love every chance we get, like we used to do before." Her hand is already on his nape, scratching his skin softly.
Caleb "Starting from right now?" He asks completely turned on already, his voice coming out a bit raspy.
Hanna nods, their foreheads touching.
Caleb "You sure, babe?"
Hanna "Yeah, I'm sure. Knowing that you are coming to New York with me is enough for me to be ready for getting all the way back together." She pecks his lips.
Caleb smiles. "Well, in that case…" Pulling a little away from her, he takes his jacket from the couch and after looking into its pocket, he takes out a key card.
Hanna laughs. "Oh! You had it all already planned, you, wise guy! That's why you took me here for dinner… you booked us a room?"
Caleb laughs too. "It was just in case."
Hanna "Yeah, just in case you got lucky." She says, taking her drink to finally taste it.
Caleb "In my defense, I wasn't going to tell you about it if you didn't explicitly tell me you wanted to do it first."
Hanna chuckles. "You could have just asked for a room at the moment."
Caleb "Nope, because this isn't just any room… it's our room."
Hanna grins. "Really? You booked us that room?"
Caleb nods and takes a few sips of his drink as well.
Hanna "Okay, you are making me want you even more."
Caleb "Hurry up with that drink, then." He gestures toward her glass.
Hanna smiles amused. "We've been in a drought for months, I think we can handle some more minutes."
Caleb smiles playfully and jokingly grabs his glass and takes several sips, leaving it half-empty.
Hanna laughs and kisses his cheek. But Caleb turns his face to the side and captures her lips with his before she can pull back.
Caleb "I'm just kidding, babe. Enjoy your drink." He tells her after giving her that loving kiss. "And order as many as you want." He puts the key card back into the pocket of his jacket.
Hanna sips her drink and makes herself comfortable leaning against his side again.
Caleb "So, how long are we planning to stay in New York? Not that I don't want to stay too long, babe." He makes it clear while resting his arm back over her shoulders. "I just need to know to figure out how much time we would need to rent a place."
Hanna "I talked to Lucas, and after reviewing the things we still need to figure out, a bit more than a month… But let's just rent a place for a month and then see how things turn out."
Caleb "Okay, I'll continue the search tomorrow… I think I'll be able to move next Monday. I need a few days to put my things in order around here."
Hanna "Uh huh, sure... You are coming to the lake house this weekend, right?"
Caleb "Yeah, of course."
Hanna "Okay, great! So we would only be apart for like two days, I can handle it… I'm so glad I won't have to miss you anymore."
Caleb smiles and plants a tender kiss on her forehead before grabbing his glass to take a sip. "Me too, Han."
Hanna "Maybe you should go say hi to your fans at the bar." She suddenly tells him while staring to the bartenders. "They've been staring."
Caleb chuckles. "I don't even remember their names, Han. I hardly hung over the bar when I worked here."
Hanna "I wanna spend some time with Chocolate before I leave tomorrow." She comments, resuming their previous subject.
Caleb "What time are you leaving?"
Hanna "I don't know, hopefully at noon. But it depends of how things go at the store in the morning…"
Caleb "Okay, we can do something together before you leave. Maybe lunch…"
Hanna "Yeah, that would be great." She sips her drink again. "We need to take care of Finnie's birthday present, I've no idea of what to get him. He's already-"
Caleb kisses her lips, interrupting her.
Hanna smiles amused. "Don't be rude, I was in the middle of-"
Caleb smiles and kisses her again.
Hanna gives in and kisses him back. She only interrupts their kiss after a few seconds to place her drink back on the coffee table. Caleb takes the chance to do the same. Both glasses almost empty.
Caleb "I'll take care of Finn's present, don't worry."
Hanna grabs his face in her hands, resuming the kiss. Caleb places one of his hands on her lower back and the other on her tight, over the fabric of her dress.
Caleb "I love you." He whispers against her mouth and rests his forehead on Hanna's, needing to hear her say it back.
Hanna smiles. "I love you." Still with his face between her hands, Hanna gently leads him back to her mouth for another kiss.
Caleb slides his hand underneath the hem of her dress and starts to caress her thigh softly with his fingertips, and as an answer to that, Hanna deepens the kiss.
Hanna "Time to leave for our room…" She whispers to him a little while after.
Caleb nods. "I'll go get the check."
/
Hanna grins as they step into their room, carelessly tossing their jackets onto a chair. So many memories flood her mind. She looks at the couch where she was supposed to sleep the night she stayed with Caleb after getting drunk together, and then gazes toward the bed where she actually fell asleep, hugging Caleb's arm. And where Alison found her engagement ring the day after, by the way.
Caleb "You aren't thinking of crashing the couch this time, are you?" He asks, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind.
Hanna "Not a chance." She turns around, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Caleb smiles and starts placing soft kisses on her neck. Hanna closes her eyes, enjoying the feeling of his lips brushing over her skin.
Hanna "You were the one who crashed the couch that night anyway. You waited until I was asleep, and then you moved to the couch."
Caleb "I couldn't handle just being friends with you…"
Hanna takes his face and pulls him away from her neck. "I'm sorry for being so oblivious about us back then." She buries her face in the crook of his neck now, returning the kisses. "We were so meant to be." She starts unbuttoning his shirt, without stopping kissing his skin.
Caleb sighs and moves his hands to her back to unzip her dress. As he uncovers her back with one hand, he caresses her skin with the other. Once he's done with the zip, he pushes the sleeves down her arms. Hanna pulls away from him and helps to get rid of her dress, letting it fall on the floor, being left only in her underwear and her boots, while Caleb finishes with the last buttons of his own shirt and takes it off as well.
Hanna smiles and starts undoing his belt. "You're so hot." She places a tender kiss on his shoulder.
Caleb "Says the one." He answers, his breathing becoming shallow already, in anticipation of everything that is about to happen.
Once she finishes undoing his belt and his pants, Hanna places one of her hands on his face and starts a passionate kiss as the same time as she slides her other hand underneath his boxers, starting to stroke him gently, getting very hot sounds from his mouth against her lips.
But the space in his underwear is limited, and she wants to give him more attention. She releases him and, taking his hand, leads him to the couch, where she takes a seat herself. Knowing exactly what she has in mind, Caleb stands before her.
Hanna smiles and pushes his pants along with his boxers down to his ankles. But something else, besides the obvious, catches her attention: it's the tiny line on his lower stomach. Placing one of her hands on his hip and the other on his stomach, she gently traces his barely visible appendectomy scar with her index finger.
Caleb "It healed quite well."
Hanna "Yeah." She agrees and leans in to place a soft kiss on it. Then she pulls back and looks up to Caleb, flashing him a smile while moving her hair to the side, getting ready.
Caleb sighs, his lips slightly parted as he stares at her. Keeping both of her hands on his hips, she gets to it slowly, paying attention to his head mostly, kissing him, using her tongue, knowing very well that he's watching her attentively and wanting to give him quite a hot view.
Caleb "God, baby…" Placing his hand on her face, he gently traces her bottom lip with his thumb. "So good…"
Hanna finally takes him all the way into her mouth, wanting to give him some real pleasure already, since it's been a long while.
Caleb tilts his head back for a moment, giving in the amazing sensation, but then he looks back at her, as watching her is just as good as feeling. He runs his hand back to her hair, caressing her softly, accompanying her movements.
He enjoys himself for a little while longer, but then he takes his free hand to one of her hands still placed on his hips and takes it away at the same time as he gently pushes her face away from him. Then he crouches down to take off her boots.
Caleb "There you go, princess." He jokes, after finishing with it, tossing her socks aside.
Hanna chuckles. "Princesses don't do what I just did to you."
Caleb laughs. "Allow me to doubt." He says while getting rid of his shoes as well, and then also finishing taking off his pants and boxers.
Hanna could take the chance to get rid of her underwear in the meantime, but she chooses not to, as she wants to have Caleb do it himself.
Caleb "Let's move to the bed." He offers his hand to her.
Hanna accepts his hand happily and stands up from the couch.
Once beside the bed, Caleb removes her bra himself and tosses it to the floor. Then, placing his hands on each side of her torso, he slides them down, following the curve of her body, gently caressing her until he reaches her panties. Not wanting to waste any time, he pushes them down, and they fall to the floor. Hanna finishes by kicking them off.
She lies down on the bed and he carefully takes his place on top of her. Taking her hands to his face, she pulls him into another kiss. Caleb's arms remain on the mattress at each side of her as he kisses her back for a while.
Then, abandoning her mouth, he continues placing kisses on her neck and all the way down up to her chest, where he remains, taking the time to massage one of her nipples with his tongue. Hanna's hands move to his back to rub him gently as she enjoys all his attention. Right when he's about to switch to her other breast, Hanna moves her hands back to his face, and cupping his cheeks, she attempts to guide his head down with a gentle push, letting him know she needs.
Caleb smiles and complies with her request. He slides his body down until he's at the right place and wraps his arms around her thighs. He gives her one soft lick there and looks up to her.
Hanna "Come on, it's been a while…" She insists, her chest rising and falling as she breathes heavily already.
Still making eye contact, he finally gets to it. Hanna's hands find their place on his shoulders.
He slides his tongue inside of her, making Hanna gasp his name, which encourages him to go even further. Moving his lips to her clit, focusing his mouth only on it, he slides two fingers inside of her, his movements pushing her to her edge in only a few minutes.
Hanna "Babe… I'm-… oh…"
Caleb goes on, rubbing her with his tongue at the right place.
Hanna takes her hands to his face and pushes him away abruptly.
Caleb "It's okay, babe… enjoy yourself, finish." He is about to resume his task, but Hanna stops him again.
Hanna chuckles. "I just did." She lets go of a very deep breath of relief.
Caleb "Oh." He grins.
He slides his body back up and kisses Hanna's mouth gently as she catches her breath. Opening her legs for him, Hanna rests her hands on his lower back, pushing him to her, encouraging him to finally join their bodies.
Caleb "It's fine, I can't wait a little longer until you recover." He chuckles.
Hanna smiles tenderly at him. She finds it extremely cute that he's always thinking about her needs first. "It's okay, I don't need to wait… just make sure to give my clit a break." She jokes.
Caleb smiles back. "Well, in that case…" He stands up from the bed.
Hanna watches him, a bit confused, as he goes to look for something in a travel bag on a table. "What's in that bag? Have you been here earlier?"
Caleb "Yeah, I was here before picking you up."
Hanna chuckles. "Oh, you did have this all very well planned." She comments, sitting up on the bed.
Caleb takes something from his bag and goes back to her. Hanna lies back down as he joins her back on the bed.
Hanna "What did you get?"
Caleb "This." He shows a condom to her.
Hanna smiles again and takes it from his hand. "This was really thoughtful of you, but… we don't need it. I got back to the pill like a month ago so, we are fine." She puts the condom aside and wraps her arms around his neck as Caleb repositions on top of her.
Caleb "I love you." He says softly into her ear and pulls back to look into her eyes.
Hanna "Love you, so, so, very much." Passing her arms at each side of his torso, she places her hands on his shoulder blades.
Caleb "That much?" He asks her as he finally connects their bodies.
Hanna "Yeah, and so much more." She starts kissing his neck.
Caleb starts with his movements, finally getting some relief after so long, because nothing he could try to easy his physical need for her, compares to this, and all the connection they get while making love.
/
Hanna and Caleb are cuddling together in bed, wrapped in the sheets. Both of them lying on their backs, Hanna's head resting on his shoulder as he keeps his arm around her, and his hand on her stomach, which is also intertwined with Hanna's.
Hanna "I love the peaceful moment after sex so much." She comments, taking her free hand to his face to start caressing him softly.
Caleb "Yeah, I really needed this." He uses his free hand to caress her forearm as well, running his fingertips up and down on it gently. "I thought for a moment that I was losing you."
Hanna "What? Why?"
Caleb "Because you weren't speaking to me at all maybe?"
Hanna "I told you I was mad."
Caleb "Yeah, but I didn't know why back then, and you were there in New York doing great, which I was really happy about, but… I don't know. I thought for a moment you were moving on from me."
Hanna turns to lie on her stomach so she can look at him. "You are kidding me, right? That's just not possible. You are never losing me… unless you do something terrible, of course. Like cheating on me or something like that… and I know you wouldn't."
Caleb "Yeah, I know you know." He starts rubbing her back softly. "I loved the way you trusted me with all that matter with Sydney. It made me love you even more, even when we weren't doing okay."
Hanna smiles. "That's because you make me feel sure about us." She pecks his lips. "Oh, and I found out what really happened that night, by the way… how she… ugh."
Caleb chuckles. "Emily."
Hanna "She thought I knew."
Caleb "Would have told you if you had asked."
Hanna "I know." She starts drawing patters on his chest with her finger. "Let's not talk about it anymore… let's go back to talk about nice things."
Caleb "Like what?"
Hanna "I don't know."
Caleb smiles and kisses her lips tenderly. "Hold on, I have something for you." He says and stands up from the bed.
Hanna "Really?" She grins.
Caleb goes back to the travel bag and looks for something in it. "Here." He says, approaching the bed. "Brought you some chocolates." He hands her the box.
Hanna "Oh my god, you are truly the best… Chocolates in bed, this night is just going perfectly."
Caleb laughs, getting back in bed.
Hanna "Thank you." She kisses his cheek and takes a filled chocolate into her mouth.
Caleb "Can I have one too?"
Hanna "Yeah, guess you deserve one." She smiles and places a chocolate in his mouth.
Caleb "What are we doing for Christmas?" He suddenly asks after swallowing his chocolate.
Hanna "I don't know… I haven't even started thinking about it. Skipping Thanksgiving while in China made me forget about the holidays completely... What did you do for Thanksgiving anyway? I never asked you."
Caleb "I went over to Em's and Ali's… Mrs. Fields was there too, and I also met Jason. He seems pretty cool."
Hanna "Yeah, he is. He used to be Ali's weird older brother when we were in high school, but he's pretty cool now. Anyway, my mom is going on a trip with Ted, so... maybe we can spend Christmas with Ali and Em too."
Caleb "Uh huh." He steals another chocolate from her.
Hanna "Hey! You said these were for me." She protests with a playful smile.
Caleb smiles at her as he chews.
Hanna "I'm going to have to charge you for it." She pushes him back, making him lie down, and gets on top of him. She pecks his lips and then pulls back to look at him. "It'll cost you a lot of kisses"
Caleb swallows. "I'll steal food from you more often." He says, taking his hands to her breasts, as she is still naked, starting to massage them gently.
Hanna closes her eyes, enjoying his touch. "Okay, I forgive you." She takes his hands in hers and interlacing their fingers together, she places them at each side of them on the mattress, leaning down and starting to kiss him passionately.

Next morning.
Hanna and Caleb are sound asleep when Hanna's phone ringing interrupts their sleep.
Hanna "Ugh…" She mutters, not even opening her eyes. "Make it stop." She says, her cheek pressed against Caleb's chest.
Caleb "It's your phone, not mine."
Hanna "Still."
Caleb reaches out and grabs her phone from the bedside table. "Hey, it's Lucas." He tells her, rubbing her back softly.
Hanna "Don't care."
Caleb silences the call and places her phone back on the bedside table. But he's already wide awake now. He keeps rubbing Hanna's bare back with both of his hands while just relaxing, staring at the ceiling.
After a couple of minutes, Hanna's phone starts ringing again, and this time, she lifts her body from Caleb's and finally takes her phone.
Hanna "Hey, I was trying to sleep here." She says, making herself comfortable again on Caleb's chest and shutting her eyes once more.
Lucas "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you would be up already… didn't you have a Pilates class today?"
Hanna "I'm in Rosewood. I texted you." She explains while Caleb caress her hair softly.
Lucas "Yeah, I'm sorry I haven't caught up with the texts yet. Just landed half an hour ago. I'm on my way to the apartment. What are you doing there?"
Hanna "My store… it was about to end up stockless again. Had to come here to give my ladies a hand… Also, I called Vanessa and made her sign a new contract for a month. I need her, Lucas. At least until the dresses from China start arriving."
Lucas "It's okay, sounds like a logical solution."
Hanna "Also, I'll need to hire a new salesperson. I can't just have only one person there. I'll review some of the resumes from the last search."
Lucas "Don't waste your time with that, Han. Ask the guy from the recruitment agency to take care of it. I need you back here ASAP."
Hanna "Yeah, I'll be back today, don't worry… Why were you calling so insistently anyway?"
Lucas "I can't find my keys, wanted to check if you were back from your class to open the door for me."
Hanna "Oh, I'm sorry."
Lucas "It's okay, I'll just call Lizzie and shower at her place."
Hanna "Okay, see you later."
Lucas "See you, Han."
Hanna ends the call and raises from Caleb's chest. "Hey there, good morning." She smiles and plants a tender kiss on his lips.
Caleb "Hey, beautiful."
Hanna smiles again. "Well, I gotta get going… I have to stop by at the loft and take a shower. I must smell like sex." She chuckles while standing up from the bed.
Caleb chuckles too. "Actually, you don't need to go to the loft for a shower." He tells her from the bed as she starts picking up her clothes from the floor.
Hanna "I won't be wearing these again." She tells him, showing him her panties from the night before.
Caleb "Look into my bag… I grabbed some things you left back at home."
Hanna smiles at him. "Oh, really?"
Caleb nods.
Hanna checks his bag and discovers more than just clean underwear. She finds a pair of her jeans, a top, and a garment she regretted not packing months ago for New York: one of her favorite sweaters.
Hanna "You're the best, babe." She grins and goes to kiss his lips before grabbing a towel and heading for the bathroom.
/
Later on, Hanna and Caleb descend in the elevator. When the doors open on the ground floor and they step out, they run into Ashley, who immediately grins at them but refrains from making any comments.
Hanna "Oh, hi, mom!"
Ashley "Hi, sweetie!" She answers, still grinning.
Caleb "Hi, Ashley."
Ashley "I didn't know you were back in Rosewood." She tells Hanna.
Hanna "I just needed to take care of some things at my store, so I just came yesterday and I'm leaving today."
Ashley "Okay, so are you guys dropping Chocolate off today?"
Hanna "Oh, not yet, mom. I'm leaving alone."
Caleb "We just need to find a place to stay first."
Hanna "We are leaving him at your place next week. Are you sure you don't have a problem with it, mom?"
Ashley "No, of course not, honey. No problem at all."
Hanna "Okay, thanks, mom. It would only be for a month, anyway… and we'll pick him up on weekends."
Ashley nods.
Hanna "Well, I gotta run! See you next week, mom."
Ashley smiles at her. "See you, baby."
Caleb "Goodbye, Ashley!"
Ashley "Nice to see you two back together." She adds as they walk away.
Hanna turns around and shoots her a smile.
/
Hanna sits at her desk, finishing the task of tagging the new dresses ready for sale. Once done, she checks the time on her phone and realizes it's almost lunchtime. She decides to text Caleb.
Hanna: "Hey, babe! Where are we going for lunch? Are you picking Chocolate up yourself?"
Caleb: "Come over, we are just having lunch at our place. It's freezing cold to eat outside with Chocolate."
Hanna: "Great! I'll stop by for food on my way there then. See you in a little while."
Caleb: "Don't need to, I've already taken care of it. I'm here already."
Hanna: "Okay. Be right there."
She takes the dresses she just tagged. "Hey, ladies!" She says, drawing the attention from her seamstresses that are still doing their best efforts to get more dresses ready. "I'll just take these downstairs, and then I'll get going. I have to go back to New York. Thank you very much for your hard work these days. I really appreciate it."
Lisa "You are welcome, Han! Take care!"
Anna "Goodbye, Han!"
Vanessa "Anytime, Han. It's nice to be back!"
Hanna "See you soon!" She says while heading for the stairs.
Once downstairs, Hanna starts hanging the new dresses on the racks.
Hanna "Aren't you taking your lunch break, Mag? It seems quiet here now."
Maggie "Yeah, Lis always covers for me, but she's been busy these last couple of days, and I have a lady trying on a dress in the fitting rooms right now… Besides, everything seems quiet until people decide to come inside all at the same time." She chuckles.
Hanna "Yeah, about that… I'm already taking care of it, Maggie. We will have a new salesperson very soon, full time just like you, so you won't have this problem again."
As Hanna finishes her phrase, two more ladies enter the store. Maggie approaches them to offer her help right away.
Hanna sighs and texts Caleb: "Hey, babe! Can we have a late lunch? Like in an hour? Gotta give Maggie a hand here."
The ladies start examining the dresses on the racks themselves, so Hanna approaches Maggie.
Hanna "Go have lunch, Maggie. I'll cover for you."
Maggie "You sure?"
Hanna "Yeah… Take a break."
Maggie smiles at her. "Okay, thanks, Hanna."
Hanna receives a text from Caleb: "Yeah, don't worry."
Hanna "That's a very nice dress." She tells one of the ladies who has taken a dress to examine it more closely. "And the best part is that that type of fabric doesn't get wrinkled." She explains while approaching her. "Are you looking for something specific?" She asks, trying to help.
/
About an hour later, Hanna parks her car in the driveway of the house she shared with Caleb until only a few months ago. She heads to the door and rings the doorbell. It feels somewhat weird, but also nice at the same time, reminiscent of when she didn't live with him and came over to visit.
Caleb answers the door with a smile on his face and moves to the side to let her in.
Caleb "Hey there."
Hanna "Hey!" She smiles back, stepping into the house. "What's that delicious smell?" She asks, turning to look at him.
Caleb "Made chicken parmesan for you."
Hanna grins and is about to hug him, but suddenly, Chocolate shows up, running like crazy and leaps on Hanna, crashing her against the wall.
Hanna laughs. "Hi, baby!" She greets him while pulling her face away, trying to avoid the licks he attempts to place on her face, not wanting him to ruin her makeup. "Easy, baby." She starts stroking his back.
Caleb "Easy, buddy." He grabs him by his collar and pulls him away from Hanna. "Are you okay? He's too rough, smashed you against the wall."
Hanna smiles. "Yeah, I'm fine." She leans down to caress Chocolate's head. "He just missed me."
Caleb "Yeah." He says, letting go of Chocolate's collar. "He must be excited to see you back home."
Hanna "I missed you too, baby bear." She strokes his ear as he keeps wagging his tail at her. "I can't believe you took the time to cook for me in the middle of the day." She looks at Caleb.
Caleb "I had to, after what you told me last night. It wasn't any problem anyway, just stopped by the store after dropping you off this morning and I've been working from home today."
Hanna smiles and approaches him. "You are truly the best." She grabs his face and gives him a brief but still intense kiss.
Caleb "I'll go heat up the food." He says when she pulls away.
Hanna nods and follows him to the kitchen, where she notices that the table is set for one.
Hanna "You thought I wouldn't come at all?"
Caleb turns to her, and she gestures toward the table.
Caleb "Oh, no… it's just that I have this meeting at the office, and… I kind of have to leave in like… ten minutes, so…"
Hanna "Oh, Caleb! Why didn't you tell me when I texted you?"
Caleb "It's okay, I knew you were pretty busy today and that it wasn't exactly the best day for a lunch together, but I still wanted to prepare something for you… don't worry, really. I already ate." He says, putting a plate with food in the microwave.
Hanna "I'm so sorry."
Caleb approaches her. "For what? You didn't know I would cook for you… and you had no idea about my meeting, which I would reschedule if it weren't for the fact that this is a new client, and I can't just cancel on them with such short notice." He grabs her by her waist.
Hanna "Yeah, I know, but…" She places her hands on his shoulders. "This feels like a déjà vu… You preparing a meal for us and me coming home late. Didn't want it to happen again."
Caleb "But it will keep happening, Han… especially while in New York this next month. I know you'll be pretty busy, and that I'll have to adapt to your crazy schedule there. I'm okay with it… I know things will be different when you move back here, and that we'll find our new normal. And still, it might happen again that you have to work late some time, I might have to too. But that was never the problem anyway. The problem was that I wasn't a part of that part of your life anymore, and that-"
Hanna "Yeah, I know." She cuts him off. "I shut you out."
Caleb "Yeah, and I didn't handle it right either. But-"
Hanna "But we won't let that happen again." She interrupts him again.
Caleb smiles at her. "Exactly."
Hanna hugs him, wrapping her arms around his neck and sticking her head to his, cheek to cheek. "Don't you get tired?"
Caleb "Tired of what?" He asks, wrapping his arms around her lower back.
Hanna smiles. "Of being so cute, nice, kind, and perfect all the time."
Caleb laughs and presses her harder against himself.
The microwave starts beeping, interrupting their moment, and Caleb releases Hanna from his grip with the intention of going to check Hanna's food, but she doesn't let go of him.
Hanna "Leave it. It can wait… I just want to make the most of these last 10 minutes together."
Caleb sighs and wraps his arms back around her. "5 minutes actually now."
Hanna "Ugh…" She pouts.
Caleb smiles and places a tender kiss on her pouting lips. "I guess I could arrive ten minutes late… might make me seem busier and more important."
Hanna laughs. "Emily is going to fire you from your own business." She jokes, taking her hand to his hair to caress him softly, running her fingers through his locks.
Caleb chuckles. "I don't care… my girlfriend is becoming rich anyway." He starts giving her kisses on her neck.
Hanna laughs again. "So you would be like my sugar baby?"
Caleb "Yeah." He says against her skin. "Best job ever."
Hanna laughs once again.
Caleb leaves her neck to look at her. "I'm happy to have you back home, even if it's just for a little while."
Hanna smiles. "It's nice to be back… it'll be so hard to leave again, though."
Caleb "But you will be back soon when we start spending our weekends here."
Hanna "Uh huh." She only says and connects their lips in a very loving kiss.
Caleb takes his hand to her face while kissing her back, caressing her with his fingertips as he deepens the kiss. Hanna continues to run her fingers through his hair with one hand, while the other, almost instinctively, ventures beneath his shirt, her fingernails lightly grazing his skin right above the waistband of his jeans.
Caleb chuckles, interrupting their now passionate kiss, and taking her hand away. "Easy there, Han… showing up with a boner at my meeting won't make me look so professional."
Hanna laughs. "Sorry, babe. I wasn't thinking."
Caleb places her hand on his shoulder instead.
Hanna "Wanna stop?"
Caleb nods.
Hanna smiles at him.
Caleb "I don't want to, I have to."
Hanna chuckles. "Yeah, me too… Luckily for women we can hide it better, but it doesn't mean that-"
Caleb "Please don't finish that phrase." He lets go of her. "You are messing with my mind."
Hanna laughs out loud. "I'm sorry." She goes to the microwave and puts her food to heat again.
Chocolate takes the chance to go to Hanna for some more pets now that Caleb's let go of her.
Caleb sighs. "Well, I gotta get going, Han."
Hanna "Oh, okay…" She says while stroking Chocolate's back.
Caleb "See you at Finnie's birthday?"
Hanna nods.
Caleb approaches her and places a brief kiss on her lips. "See you in a couple of days, babe."
Hanna "See you, my love." She shoots him a tender smile.
Caleb smiles back before finally leaving.
