It has been five years since Ash Ketchum had wandered off into the woods and got attacked by an angry Primape, but was saved by a wild Arbok. Ever since that day, Ash has been determined to be the world's greatest Poison-type Pokemon Master, and tomorrow morning he will be getting his starter pokemon.
Now that Ash has finally turned ten years old he can officially be licensed as a Pokémon trainer, you see ten-year-olds here in the Kanto Region can get their Pokémon licenses from Professor Oak the region's Pokémon Professor as well as receive their first Pokemon.
Ash was currently watching an epic battle between Gengarr and Nidoking, however, the door to the bedroom is suddenly opened by a beautiful slender woman around 29 years old with fair skin and brown eyes. She has smooth red hair pulled back in a ponytail with a green scrunchie. She was wearing a pink short-sleeved jacket with a yellow undershirt, a purple skirt, and light green shoes.
"Ash, you should be getting ready for bed at almost eleven, and you don't want to be late for Professor Oak just because you went to bed late," Deila said, looking at the clock on the wall of the bedroom."Also, try not to break your alarm clock again," She said pointing at the clock on the nightstand.
Ash looked down and rubbed the back of their sheepishly as this weekend he was dreaming of his Pokemon battle and ended up throwing the Pokeball alarm clock in his sleep and broke it and had to get fixed at the repair shop, and just get it back in two days.
"I will be careful this time or else I will be waking up to the Doduo call, and miss out on the starters and I especially want Bulbasaur as my first poison-type Pokemon," Ash said.
"Now get your teeth brushed and your pajamas on," Delia commanded.
"Alright I'm going," Ash said, rushing towards the bathroom to get changed into his pajamas and brush his teeth.
Deila then left the room after turning the TV off and putting the alarm clock back on the nightstand.
Later that night Ash was lying in his bed sleeping as he was mumbling in his sleep.
"Oh Bulbasuar is the best for beginners, " He said rolling in his sleep as his arm hit the nightstand and knocked the Pokeball alarm clock into his hand.
"Go Bulbasuar I choose you!" Ash shouted in his sleep as he threw the clock as if he throwing an actual Pokeball causing it to slam into the wall and break.
The next morning the local Dodrio woke up from his perch and raised all three of his heads and let out a loud cry as a wake-up call.
Ash woke up with a start as he heard the Dodrio cry and climbed out of bed and looked at his broken clock and rushed out of bed.
"Oh no, what time is it?!" He shouted rushing out of his room in his pajamas.
"Where do you think you're going?" Delia asked stopping Ash in his tracks.
"Professor Oak's laboratory, I don't want to miss on getting my starter in Bulbasaur," Ash replied.
"I took the initiative and contacted Samuel and he prepared a different starter for you," Deila said with a smile."So first breakfast and then change into your clothes."
Ash nodded as he headed back to his bedroom to change into the new clothes his mother prepared for him, before having some breakfast before he heading off to Professor Oak's lab.
As soon as he was done changing and eating Ash was now headed to Professor Oak's lab.
"I hope whatever Pokemon the Professor has for me is easy to handle like the Kanto starters and still a poison type like Bulbasuar, " Ash said to himself.
When he made it to the lab a large crowd was outside to see someone off, judging by cheerleaders it was someone extremely popular. He pushed his way through and realized it was Gary Osk when he accidentally bumped into him.
"Watch where you're going, " Gary said."Well if it isn't Ashy late as usual, but at least you get to see me off," He mocked.
Ash grits his teeth in annoyance as Gary pushes him out of the way gets in his red car and takes off leaving the lab. Professor Oak then appears behind Ash.
"Ah, so you finally here Ash," He said.
"Yeah sorry i'm late, " Ash apologized.
"It's alright my boy, " Professor Oak replied. "These things happen, but I was able to select a perfect starter choice for you."
Ash followed Professor Oak into the lab and was led to the room where beginning trainers receive their starters. In the center of the room was the console on the table that contained the starter pokemon Pokeballs.
"Since you once again broke your clock causing you to oversleep you won't get the usual Kanto starter, "Professor Oak told him. "However it not a secret you want to become a poison type master, so I picked a poison type that should be easy to but also challenging to handle once it evolves, " He explained.
Professor Oak pressed a button on the console and a Pokeball with a Posion-type symbol popped out."And so I present to you your starter Pokemon."
Ash picked up the Pokeball and opened it, sending out the Poison type inside, when the light died down, the Nidoran male was revealed.
"Nidoran," Nidoran greeted.
"Hi Nidoran," Ash greeted, bending down to Nidoran's level."My name is Ash Ketchum it's nice to meet you. I hope you and I can become great friends with each other. You see I want to become the best Poison-type trainer there is, and if you come with me help you grow into a strong Nidoking."
"Nidoran."
"How I let you know this Nidoran had a bit of trouble getting along with other Pokemon," Oak told him."So there might be times when he might start fights."
"I'll keep that in mind, Professor Oak," Ash said as he picked up Nidoran.
"Now here is your Pokedex and some Pokeballs," Professor Oak said handing him the mentioned gear."Your Pokedex is your most important possession, as so is every Pokemon, and most importantly acts as your ID. So make sure not to lose it."
"Thank you, Professor Oak I understand, and make sure to keep my Pokedex safe. "
"You welcome now before you go if you truly want to master the poison type you should meet with the girl named Ophelia in Viraidan Forest she is one of the most skilled and youngest trainers soil in the Poison type," Professor Oak explained.
"Thanks for the recommendation," Ash said.
Ash then saw a crowd waiting to see him off formed by Delia. As he and Professor Oak walked with Nidoran in Ash's arms the crowd cheered.
"There he is, " Delia announced.
"Mom, what are you doing here?" Ash asked surprised. "I thought I was coming back home after to get my bag."
"Well, I couldn't just not let Gary have everyone cheer him on and you nobody," Delia said"That would be unfair to you."Delia then handed Ash his bag as he took it and placed it on his back as he put Nidoran down.
"Thanks, mom, " Ash thanked. "Look at you all grown up."
"Mom I'm only 10 years old," Ash responded.
"Yet still so young going out in the world, "Deila said."Remember to change your clothes and wash your face every day."
"I will Mom," Ash said.
"Ash is that your Pokemon?"Yeah, Mom meet Nidoran, " Ash replied.
"Nidoran this my mother."
Nidoran nodded to Delia. Deila cooed as she kneeled down gently petting its head."How cute who knew one of the first stages of of such a poison type could be cute?"
"Well, I better get going," Ash said returning to Nidoran to his Pokeball. "Good luck Ash!" Delia called out as she watched Ash walk off.
As Ash made his little way from Palket Town he and Nidoran battled a Pidgey for a bit of experience and then battled a Rattata that attempted to steal his food as they rested against a tree to relax.
After a couple of hours of resting Ash got back on his first and continued on his way as had passed a Spearow when the sky began to darken and clouds began to form. Ash immediately ran for cover under a nearby tree.
When the storm finally cleared, he brought out his Nidoran again and they both studied the sky seeing the rainbow. Just as they were about to continue they saw two pokemon flying above one was a Phionex flying towards the rainbow and the other one was a deadly-looking skull head vulture towards Viridian City. (The second one is a fanmade pokemon)"What pokemon were those are?" Ash questioned pulling out his Pokedex.
[Pokemon unknown, some pokemon are still unknown and mysterious. ]
"Well in that case let's just continue, " Ash said as he and Nidoran continued the road to Viridian City, putting the two mysterious behind them for now. Well, here we go the second chapter of my new Pokémon story with Ash being a Posion-type master.
In this chapter gets his starter Pokemon in Nidoran Male due to sleeping in and missing in on getting Bulbasusr and Professor Oak gives Ash his Pokeballs and Pokedex before telling him to meet and learn under Ophelia who supporting in Viridan Forest. He also saw two mysterious pokemon. Next chapter he meets some new faces. This is my first story of writing Ash as a Pokemon trainer specializing in one type so feel free to let me know in the comments what you think as the story goes on.
