While Nick and Judy were arguing, they didn't know that they were being eavesdropped on.
High up on the cobwebbed rafter, Duke Weaselton was looking down at the trio.
"Judistasia?" asked Duke. Then, he sneered, "Yeah, just one problem there, fella. Judistasia's dead. All the Hoppses are dead."
Behind the weasel, was the reliquary that placed the curse on the Hopps family. As light breeze echoed by the rafter, the reliquary suddenly began to glow.
The gush of wind blew out a nearby lit candle.
Just then, some green smoke began to emerge from the saber-toothed cat's skull on its top. It morphed into a wolf demon, as it circled around Duke.
"They're dead. Dead, dead, dead." The weasel obliviously looked over at the wolf demon next to him. "Am I right, my friend? I mean, how can that be Judi-" he stopped in a double take, upon realizing who he was talking to.
The minion growled at Duke.
"Whaaaa!" The weasel screamed, and jumped back next to the reliquary. Then, he noticed from the corner of his eye, another minion were pouring out from the reliquary.
Whimpering, the weasel jumped back, nearly falling off the edge of the rafter. Luckily, he managed to grasp his legs onto the edge.
Duke was confused by this sudden commotion. "Oh, come on," he said, as he hoisted himself back over the edge. "Am I supposed to believe that thing woke up after all these years, just because some fox claims she's a Hopps?"
At that moment, the glowing reliquary began to shake violently as more wolf minions emerged from it. They were eagerly trying to float down toward Judy, but they each disappeared in a puff of smoke before they could do anything.
"OK!" complained Duke, now getting spooked. "OK! I get the message! Enough already with the glowing and the smoke predators!" He sighed.
Another thought came to the weasel. Then, he realized in amazement, "It that thing's come back to life, it must mean... Judistasia's alive!"
He looked down at Judy, far below.
"Just leave the shrew," Nick fussed.
"I am not leaving Fru Fru!" Judy kept refusing.
Duke's eyes widened. "And that's her!"
"Come," Finnick broke the argument between Nick and Judy. "We've got a train to catch."
As the three began to leave the palace for their journey, the reliquary took off like a rocket towards the floor, dragging Duke with it.
"Whoah!" cried Duke. "Mayday! Mayday! Hey!"
The reliquary pulled Duke down through the floor, revealing icy water down beneath. The same icy water where Bellwether drowned and froze to death. It pulled the weasel further and further down, until it hit the bottom of the lake. It kept on going as it went straight though, now under the muddy soil of the water.
Duke grunted in disgust from passing through all the cobwebs as the reliquary kept going further into the Earth at a tremendous speed. When he came to a place of hot burning rocks, he cried out in pain as he felt the temperature of them on his feet.
In no time at all, the reliquary headed towards a mysterious realm, covered in all kinds of animal skulls and bones... Limbo.
Finally, the reliquary's journey ended with a crash, once inside the realm.
"Oh, boy!" Duke shook his head, dazed from his wild ride. "Ow! I tell you what. Ow!"
Just then, a familiar figure emerged from the shadows in the realm. "WHO DARES INTRUDE ON MY SOLITUDE?!" The figure kicked a slab of stone with her foot. "Get out!" She demanded. "Get out! Out!"
The figure grabbed Duke by the neck, nearly squeezing every breath out of his body. But then, she stopped once she realized who it was. "Weaselton? Duke Weaselton? Is that you?"
The figure released Duke, causing him to collapse from exhaustion. Looking up at the figure before him, he recognized her to be his deceased mistress... Dawn Bellwether.
"Mistress?" He stared at her in disbelief. "You're alive?"
"Yeah!" Bellwether scoffed. "In a matter of speaking!"
Suddenly, the sheep's right eyeball popped out of its socket, which landed in Duke's hands.
Duke grimaced at the eye in disgust. "Whoa!" He complained. "That fell right out there, Mistress!" He handed it back to Bellwether.
"Something's happened," Bellwether said, as she popped her eye back in.
"Yeah," agreed Duke. "Whoopsy."
"I knew it!" growled Bellwether. "I could feel the dark forces stirring!"
"I'm not surprised, because I saw her," Duke informed. "Judistasia."
"Judistasia?" Bellwether looked at Duke. Now, her mouth began to sag down. "Alive?!"
"Uh, Mistress, your lips, they're, um..." Duke pointed to his mistress's severed lips.
"That Hopps brat!"
"Yeah, ain't that the kick in the head?" asked Duke. He adjusted Bellwether's lips back into their rightful place. "I guess a curse just ain't what it used to be. Huh, Mistress?"
"That's why I'm stuck here in Limbo!" Bellwether realized in anger. "My curse is unfulfilled!" She stretched her arms out, only causing her left hand to fly off.
It hit Duke in the face, causing him to bump back into a wall.
Bellwether noticed this, and gasped. "Look at me! I'm falling apart!" She began to sob as she lay down on a stone table. "I'm a wreck!"
"Actually, considering how long you've been dead, you look pretty good," said Duke.
The weasel brought his mistress's hand over to her.
Bellwether only scoffed sadly.
"Mistress, you do!" claimed Duke. "You do!"
Bellwether looked at Duke, truly flattered. "Really?"
"Mistress, is this the face of a weasel who would lie to you?" Duke put on a cute face for his mistress. "Come on, for a minute there, you had your old spark back!"
Bellwether got up on her feet. "If only I hadn't lost that gift from the dark forces..." She growled, as she gripped her handless arm, "...that key to my powers...!"
Duke picked up the reliquary from the table. "What, you mean this reliquary?" He held it up, and showed it to Bellwether.
The Holy Sheep's eyes widened, and she gasped upon the sight of her old reliquary. "Where did you get that?" She demanded to know.
"Oh, I found-"
"GIVE IT TO ME!" Bellwether cut the weasel off, and snatched the reliquary from him.
"Alright! Alright!" Duke hastily said, now annoyed. "Don't get so grabby!"
Bellwether picked up her severed hand, and screwed it back on her wrist. "My old friend! Together again!" She picked up the reliquary, and put it to her cheek. Then, she declared with a sinister laugh, "Now my dark purpose will be fulfilled. And the last of the Hoppses will DIE!"
A bolt of green lightning struck into Limbo. It nearly struck Duke, who leapt out of the way in terror.
"In The Dark of the Night"
(Bellwether)
"In the dark of the night I was tossing and turning,"
Several deadly animals began to emerge out of the ground. Some of them surrounded Duke, making him feel uncomfortable.
(Bellwether)
"And the nightmare I had was as bad as can be,"
Bellwether fell on top of the table, and her body came apart, bouncing around a bit, bones and all.
(Bellwether)
"It scared me out of my wits,
A corpse falling to bits,
Then I opened my eyes,
And the nightmare was me!"
When the sheep literally pulled herself together, Bellwether went over to the table and placed the reliquary down.
(Bellwether)
"I was once the most mystical sheep in all Thrushia,
When the royals betrayed me, they made a mistake!"
Green smoke emerged from the reliquary, and it showed Bellwether a vision of Judy boarding the train with Nick and Finnick.
(Bellwether)
"My curse made each of them pay,
But one little girl got away,
Little Judy, beware, Bellwether's awake!"
Bellwether snatched her reliquary back.
All the undead animals joined the evil Holy sheep, all dancing around.
Some of them swung Duke around by his feet like a jump-rope.
(Animals)
"In the dark of the night, evil will find her,
In the dark of the night, just before dawn,"
(Bellwether)
"Revenge will be sweet,"
(Bellwether and Animals)
"When the curse is complete!"
(Animals)
"In the dark of the night,"
(Bellwether)
"She'll be gone!"
Two singing female badgers surrounded Duke.
"Uh, hi ladies," the weasel greeted them, rather demurely.
He looked inside one wolf's mouth for a brief second. The wolf clamped it's mouth shut, and Duke hastily pulled back before it could bit his face.
(Bellwether)
"I can feel that my powers are slowly returning,
Tie my sash and a dash of perfume for that smell,"
Bellwether stepped in front of a mirror, giving her the image of Judy stroking her ears.
The undead animals formed a tower with Duke on the top, along with a bottle of perfume.
(Bellwether)
"As the pieces fall into place,
I'll see her crawl into place,
Dasvidanya, Judy, your grace, farewell,"
The undead Holy Sheep went down spiral stairs, followed by the animals.
(Animals)
"In the dark of the night,
Terror will strike her,"
(Bellwether)
"Terror's the least I can do!"
(Animals)
"In the dark of the night,
Evil will brew, oo-oo-ooh!"
(Bellwether)
"Soon she will feel, that her nightmares are real!"
(Animals)
"In the dark of the night,"
(Bellwether)
"She'll be through!
(Animals)
"In the dark of the night,
Evil will find her (find her),
In the dark of the night,
Terror comes true (doom her),"
(Bellwether)
"My dear, here's a sign,"
(Bellwether and Animals)
"It's the end of the line,"
(All)
"In the dark of the night (2x)"
Bellwether came to a stop at the center of the realm. There, she place down the reliquary, and used it to create a green vortex.
Hundreds of green wolf demons came flying out in the vortex.
(Bellwether)
"Come my minions,
Rise for your mistress,
Let your evil shine,"
(Animals)
"In the dark of the night (2x)"
(Bellwether)
"Find her now,
Yes, fly ever faster,"
(Animals)
"In the dark of the night (3x)"
(Bellwether)
"She'll be mine!"
Under Bellwether's commands, the wolf demons all flew through the roof of the realm.
But not before some of them chased Duke around for a bit, before following the others out.
All the wolf demons flew out of Limbo to fulfill the curse, and kill Judistasia, once and for all...
