That night, a storm was on its way as the group settled in their cabin for the day; Nick was already sound asleep. His backpack laid beside him on the floor. Judy was all wrapped up in a blanket, gently brushing her ears. Finnick was raced agains the ship's beams, not weathering the storm very well.
"Are you alright?" Judy whispered to Finnick.
"Fine, fine," Finnick assured. But he glared down at Nick. "Just riddled with envy. Look at him. He can sleep through anything."
Judy tried to hold in her snicker.
Fru Fru attempted to climb inside Nick's backpack to find a more suitable place for her to sleep. But then, the storm caused the ship tilt with its timbers groaning, which made the backpack to fall over.
Fru Fru came tumbling out, and landed on her rear. "Oof!" She grunted.
Next to her, the music box came sliding out of the backpack.
"Ooh," Fru Fru noticed it, and examined. "What's this? Look, Judy!"
Winning the rabbit's attention, Judy looked down. Her mouth gaped a bit, immediately feeling a sharp recollection. A shock. She picked up the music box, and cradled it in her paws.
"Pretty jewelry box," Finnick said. "Isn't it?"
"Jewelry box? Are you sure that's what it is?" wondered Judy.
Finnick shrugged. "What else could it be?"
"Oh, well, something else. Something... special... something to do with a secret..." Judy could sense the visions of the same dancing figures floating around her head, as she studied the music box. Then, she laughed, snapping out of her thoughts.
Fru Fru had tried to climb up one of Judy's feet to see, only to tickle the rabbit, unintentionally. Seeing this, she let go and landed on her feet back on the floor. "Sorry!" She quietly apologized.
"It's okay," said Judy. Then, she asked Finnick as she placed the music box back in the backpack, "Is that possible?"
"Anything's possible," the little fennec fox smiled, as he climbed up into his upper berth. "You taught Nick how to waltz, didn't you?"
Judy chuckled. She held her paws out for Fru Fru. "You can sleep with me, Fru Fru."
Fru Fru became flattered. "Aw, thank you," she kindly accepted. She climbed into Judy's paws, and let the rabbit place her aside in her berth.
Fru Fru snuggled under the sheets, making herself comfortable.
Judy then climbed in, joining Fru Fru in the bed.
Finnick shut out the lights, before settling into bed, himself. "Sleep well, Your Majesty," he told Judy. Then, he fell asleep, and began to snore.
Judy chuckled again. "Sweet dreams, Fru Fru." She said to Fru Fru.
"Sweet dreams, Judy," Fru Fru replied.
The bunny and the shrewd snuggled under the covers, and fell asleep.
Meanwhile, back in the underworld, Bellwether and Duke Weaselton were watching a vision of Judy falling asleep.
"There she is, Mistress," Duke pointed. "Sound asleep in her little bed."
"And pleasant dreams to you, Princess," Bellwether whispered, smirking wickedly. "I'll get inside your mind, where you can't escape me..." The Holy Undead Sheep began to concoct a few images; butterflies, flowers, sunshine, and a large family of rabbits. Then, she gathered the smokey scenes and blew them up towards the ceiling.
Up above, rain was falling outside the ship as the waves became more restless.
Bellwether's smoke arrived in Judy's cabin. Silently slithering, it moved towards Nick sleeping on the floor. But then, it realized that he wasn't the right victim, and continued to swirl up until it reached Judy. The smoke slowly made its way towards the sleeping rabbit.
As Judy yawned, the smokey images entered inside her mouth. Then, the smoke turned into butterflies that flew around her head. Judy smiled in her sleep as Bellwether's dreams began to affect the bunny...
Judy's Dream:
Judy was sleeping peacefully under a tree in a bright sunny open meadow, wearing a pretty pink and white sailor's dress. She opened her eyes at the sound of laughter and children playing. She sat up, and saw 273 bunnies running around and playing with white and yellow flowers.
One of the bunnies, dressed in a green and white sailor's outfit, went up to Judy, surrounded by large Mystical Dream Butterflies. He gently waved to her, and motioned for some butterflies to fly over to her.
The butterflies approached Judy and flew around her, enticing her to follow them.
Back to Reality:
Judy, with her eyes closed, sat up in her bed, still smiling. With the dream butterflies swirling around her head, the rabbit got up from her bed to follow them.
She was now sleepwalking towards the cabin door, which opened up. Judy exited out of the room, as the door gently closed behind her.
Fru Fru snored under a sheet, and mumbled. But, when she felt that Judy was no longer around, the shrew opened her eyes to find that she was now alone. "Judy?" She looked around. "Judy where are you?"
Judy continued to sleepwalk down the hallway towards the stairs, still following the "Dream Butterflies".
Fru Fru rushed over to open the door; but the doorknob was way too high for the shrew to even reach. "Judy!" Fru Fru cried, "Where are you?" When she realized she couldn't open the door, Fru Fru ran over to wake up Nick and warn him. "Nick!" She whisper-yelled urgently to the fox. "Nick, wake up!"
The shrew climbed onto the fox to get his attention. But Nick just rolled over with a mumble, knocking Fru Fru off of his side.
"Oh, come on!" Fru Fru cursed as she got back up.
Outside, the ship started swaying more violently as rain pelted down from the night sky.
Judy, still in her sleep, climbed up a ladder.
Judy's Dream:
Still being led by the boy and butterflies, Judy climbed up a rock embankment, where she began gathering some wildflowers.
The bunny in the green sailor outfit grinned and called back to her. "Come on!"
Judy gladly followed the happy rabbit boy through a field of daffodils towards the edge of a cliff.
In the distance, three female rabbits were waiting for them, who looked slightly older than Judy. They were dressed up in purple, orange, and blue swimsuits. They laughed and waved to Judy, before turning around and leapt into the gorge below them, where the sounds of splashing were heard.
Judy smiled as she walked backwards.
Back to Reality:
Judy backed up onto the railing near the edge of the ship, still smiling in her sleep. She was completely unaware of the horrific storm she was currently in, with her back dangerously close towards the black ocean.
"Nick!" Fru Fru begged for Nick to wake up. "Please wake up! This is a serious emergency!"
But the fox still wouldn't listen to her.
Frowning, the shrewd took a deep breath, and screamed at the top of her lungs, "NICKY, WAKE UP!"
"What?" Nick flinched, startled awake by Fru Fru's scream. "What, what, what, what?" He finally sat up, and glared down at the little female shrewd. "Fru Fru! What?" He complained, now annoyed.
"It's Judy!" warned Fru Fru. "She's gone!" She pointed towards her berth.
"Judy?" Nick looked up at Judy's empty berth, finally seeing that she was gone. "Judy!"
Fru Fru rushed over towards the door. "We've got to find her!"
Nick scrambled up from his makeshift bed onto he feet, and rushed towards the door. "I'll go find her! You stay here!" He stated, as he burst out the door, and ran towards the stairs. "Judy!"
Fru Fru remained stranded at the bottom of the stairs.
The sleepwalking Judy has climbed up over the railing of the deck. She held onto the guide line as she teetered on the edge of the railing.
Judy's Dream
Judy held onto a flower-covered vine at the edge of the precipice, as she looked down. Below her, was beautiful blue water; along with the three female rabbits swimming in it. Among them, was their father, Stu Hopps.
"Hello, Sunshine!" He called up to Judy.
The rabbit smiled sweetly. "Hello!" She waved down to him with a giggle.
"Jump in," Stu beckoned for Judy to join them in the water. "Jump!"
The other rabbits gestured to Judy, trying to convince her, as well.
The smiling little rabbit boy happily jumped off the ledge, and into the blue water below. He ended up splashing Stu and the female rabbits, making them laugh.
Including Judy.
Back to Reality:
Judy continued to giggle as she stood on the ship's railing. She slowly let go of the guide line, inching closer and closer into falling towards her death!
Nick raced his way onto the deck, still searching for Judy. "JUDY!" He cried.
A giant wave splashed on the boat. It ended up washing the fox up into the crow's nest, giving him a better view. He desperately kept looking for the rabbit; It didn't take him long, as he finally spotted her. The rabbit began to take one step off the railing, inches away from falling into the violent ocean.
"Judy! Stop!" Nick cried out to her. "JUDY, NO!" He grabbed onto a rope line, and swung out to rescue Judy from leaping to her death.
Judy's Dream
Stu was the remaining rabbit in the water, still waving for Judy to jump into the blue water and join them.
Nodding, Judy moved forward to jump in.
"Yes..." At that moment, Stu's face turned hideous and frightening, suddenly transforming into a demonic sheep as he screamed, "JUMP! THE HOPPS' CURSE!"
Judy's smile immediately vanished. She was now standing on the top of a column of skulls.
The kind-looking rabbit father-figure who called her "Sunshine" was now a horrific evil sheep that continued to grow into an evil god-like figure. The water at the bottom of the cliff turned into a green sea of ghosts and wolf demons, swarming in a circle around the rabbit.
"JUMP!" yelled the wicked sheep demon. "JUMP!"
Judy reacted in fear as the giant sheep demon towered over her on the column of skulls.
Then, some angry wolves barked and grabbed at Judy, forcing her to jump. One wolf demon grabbed her around the waist from behind.
Judy screamed in terror.
Back to Reality:
Nick had just gotten a hold of Judy around the waist; the rabbit, still in her sleep, struggled and moaned in terror.
The fox lifted her back to the other side of the railing, and placed her safely back on deck. "Judy!" He spoke to her. "Judy, Judy, wake up! Wake up!"
Judy jolted awake. She looked around, terrified to see what had almost happened to her. Still half in her dream-turned-nightmare, the frightened Judy panted and shook. "The Hopps Curse!"
Nick looked confused. "The Hopps what?"
"Curse!" repeated Judy.
"Wh-what are you talking about?" asked Nick.
Judy placed her head on Nick's chest, and began to cry. "I keep seeing faces; so many faces!"
Nick seemed surprised for a moment that the rabbit was hugging him. Eventually, he gave in and hugged back to comfort her. "It was a nightmare," he calmly assured her. "It's alright. You're safe now."
In her lair, Bellwether watched the image of Nick embracing Judy after her near-death experience, seething. As a lightning bolt made the vision disappear, the undead sheep grasped her head, with her fingers actually sinking into her skull. Her neck stretched, starting to tear apart as she pulled on her own head.
Duke backed away from the impending explosion.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!" She screamed furiously. "NOT AGAIN!" She reached up towards the ceiling, repeatedly hitting her head on it.
"Easy, Mistress," Duke tried to console her. "Wow!"
Even the group of dead animals were frightened by the Holy Sheep's outburst.
"This is no time to lose your head," said Duke.
Bellwether exerted a monumental effort to control herself. "You're right," she calmly replied. "I am calm," she soothingly sighed, as her neck go down to normal size. "I am heartless... I have no feelings... whatsoever..."
"Mistress?" Duke watched as Bellwether's head disappeared inside her body. He took a peek inside, to find her smiling head resting inside her ribcage.
"I feel a sudden onset of clarity, Duke," she realized. "I'll have to kill her myself. In person."
It didn't take long for the weasel to understand what his mistress was saying. "What, you mean... physically?"
"You know what they say. If you want something done right..." she was cut off when her headless body bumped into a pillar of skulls.
"But that means... going topside?" Duke informed.
"Exactly," Bellwether responded, as her head poked out of her body. Although it was backwards. So, she adjusted it the right way with a loud crack. "I have so many fond memories of Zootopia... and killing the last of the Hopps with my own hands, will be so dee⦠licous!" The sheep tortured with a wolf demon as she said this, before throwing it aside.
"Well, time to go," Bellwether announced, as she wrapped herself in a red cloak, and sprayed herself with perfume.
"But you're dead!" Duke protested. "You're falling apart, Mistress! How do you expect to get to Zootopia in one piece?"
"I thought we'd take the train," said Bellwether.
As thunder and lightning cracked, smoke began to fill in the room. Raising the Reliquary, the undead sheep took off like a rocket towards the ceiling, and went straight through.
Duke held onto his mistress's ankles. "WHOA!" cried the weasel.
