Ahsoka, chapter 7: Traces
It took a while to repair the bare essentials. But the time passed also gave opportunity to risk communication again to act upon Ahsoka's instructions.
After contacting general Hera Syndulla, the droid reported the latest incidents and requested assistance. Then professor Huyang established a remote connection to the T6-shuttle to stand by for the general as well as for Ahsoka and Sabine. At last the droid stepped outside to check the area and closed the ship.
Firstly, Huyang circled around the ship and gradually extended its radius. Suddenly, an unexpected object came into the droid's artificial vision. It was the first half of a blaster pistol cut by a lighsaber, then the second half of it a few steps away.
Huyang kept being alert of potential attackers going away further and brushed away with the two front hands colorful leaves, until holding a broken half of a circuit lightsaber hilt in each of it. Soon other traces could be found and by following them, the droid found a human woman's corpse and a well-familiar hilt of a vibro knife protruding from a trunk above.
Stopping to collect the weapon, Huyang hurried on by following the traces backwards again and finally saw the hued glow of the magical map around the stone circle. As Huyang arrived, Ahsoka was battling multiple opponent warriors and the former Jedi man they were looking for, Huyang recognized because of the unique hilt, approached the Togruta woman.
It was certainly time for a teaching droid of lightsaber construction and its battle tactics to use its knowledge in real action. Although having no functioning lightsaber at present, Huyang was not weaponless and joined in.
