Not long after Joey and The Devil made that deal, The Devil, Bendall, and Henchman were walking around the Underworld workplace getting a tour of the Department of Possessions, Bewitching, and Hauntings. Bendall held on to the end of his father's tail as they walked, like how a baby elephant hangs onto their parent's tail.

Demon 749 led them through the department.

"And if you step this way, sir, this is the Possessions section." Demon 749 said. "Since the invention of the spirit board, the number of demons and ghoulish possessions have increased by 83%."

"Marvelous!" The Devil said, smiling wickedly. "And how's the haunting department coming along?"

Demon 749 led them to a round table where many devil imps were watching events through large crystal balls.

"If you look here sir, you'll see a catholic priest trying to locate the demon haunting the church." Demon 526 said. "I'm sending the demon stationed there new instructions. The priest will have a better chance of finding the Otter Woman before he finds the demon."

The Devil chuckled. "Excellent, I love it," he said. He was about to walk but a tug to his tail stopped him. He turned his head and saw his little devil watching the demons in the crystal balls haunting and scaring people. The Devil leaned down to his son. "You find this interesting, son?" he asked.

"Yeah," Bendall said. "How come those demons are in the surface world?"

"So they can torment mortals," The Devil answered.

"Do all demons go torment people like that?"

"Not all, only a certain few may do that."

"Do you do that?"

"Son, I can torment the mortals anytime I want. But I have targeted specific places in the past and even now. Homes, churches, covens, schools."

"So you've been in places like that and tormented the people inside?"

"That's right. Now let's see that bewitching station."

This time when The Devil walked, Bendall followed silently. The idea of haunting places buzzed and spun in Bendall's head like a buzzing bee. He very much wanted to do something like that... but where could he go? After the tour, Bendall went to the dining room to have lunch and Henchman placed a copy of the Inkwell Blotter by his place setting. Bendall immediately spotted an ad for the next Bendy Demon cartoon.

A lightbulb lit above Bendall's head as an idea hit him.

Soon, the big devil entered the dining room and he sat at the head of the table.

"Um, Daddy?" Bendall said.

"Yes, Bendall," The Devil said.

"I've been thinking about that haunting stuff."

"Uh huh,"

"And I was wondering... can I haunt that Joey Drew place?"

The Devil's eyes widened for a second. He chuckled softly. "What?" he asked.

"I... I want to haunt Joey Drew's Studio." Bendall said. He pointed to the ad for the show in the newspaper.

The Devil looked at his son quizzically. "Um... why?" he asked.

"I want to go to the surface world and scare people like you do," Bendall answered.

"That's... great son, but I'm not sure you're ready to possess places yet. Maybe in ten years or so you can go haunting anywhere in Inkwell you like."

"But I like this place, Daddy. And I don't wanna wait another ten years." Bendall said.

"But why the studio?" The Devil asked.

"I liked it there. And they made a cartoon demon that's just like me." Bendall admitted.

"Hmmm, perhaps if I can get you an escort, I'll consider it." The Devil said.

"I don't need that. I just want to creep around the place."

"But you've never been in the surface world alone before. There are so many things out there that could hurt you and people who won't hesitate to hurt you either."

"Okay, so I'll avoid those, and I've been getting really good at moving through the shadows. C'mon Daddy," Bendall said. Then he looked at his dad with his big, sparkling, kitten-like eyes. "Pwease!"

The big devil's lips quivered before he chuckled.

"Alright, enough with the face, you can haunt the studio." The Devil said.

Bendall jumped for joy. "Yay!" he exclaimed. But then The Devil caught him before he could drop back to the ground.

"On one condition," The Devil said. "You must also be my spy and watch Joey Drew for me."

"Why?" Bendall asked.

"Because I made a deal with Drew that I'd let him continue his work and help with his financial problems concerning the studio and only the studio. I want to make sure he's not squandering the funds needlessly. Think you can do that for me, little pest?"

"Ya, Daddy. I can do that."

"Okay, then I want to go over a few safety things with you then you can start haunting the studio."

Bendy squealed.

Later that day, after dinner, The Devil and Bendall were in the Throne Room going over the safety rules.

"If you are going to haunt the studio and spy on Drew, you need to remember these three rules. Rule #1; don't get caught. Rule #2; make no attempt to contact them. Don't speak to them, don't touch them, or let them touch you. And rule #3; keep the scares simple and subtle. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Daddy. I'm not a baby anymore." Bendall said.

"And one more thing. I have something for you," The Devil said. "I was going to wait till next year to give this to you, but I think it'll be more useful now."

The big devil slammed down his pitchfork. A small black cloud formed above Bendall. When the cloud dissipated a glowing chalk stick floated down and Bendall caught it in his hands.

"A chalk stick?" Bendall asked.

"This is a special chalk stick. It will help you escape places if you ever get in trouble." The Devil explained. "Let's try it out." He slammed down his pitchfork and soon the two devils were in Inkwell City, particularly, at the public park playground. "Here's a good spot. Draw a large square with the chalk here." He points his pitchfork on the hard ground.

Bendall did as his father instructed.

"Good. Now read the inscription on the chalk." The Devil said.

"Okay," Bendall said before he cleared his throat. He muttered softly.

"Read it out loud." The Devil said.

"Okay, okay," Bendall said. "Surface world I'll see you later. Down I go in this elevator,"

Suddenly the ground started to rumble softly before flames burst from the square and the underworld elevator appeared. Bendall gasped with delight.

"Perfect," The Devil said. "This chalk will summon the elevator whenever you need it. But remember that the chalk will only work like regular chalk. Meaning you need a solid surface to draw the square and only drawing a square will do it."

"Solid surface and squares only. Okay, Daddy. I'll remember." Bendall said.

"Good. Now let's go home. You'll need rest if you want to start haunting tomorrow."

The two devils take the elevator back home.

The next morning, The Devil, Bendall, and Henchman were in the Throne Room.

"Uh, here. There's a ham and cheese sandwich in here in case you get hungry." Henchman said as he handed Bendall the white bag.

"Thank you, Henchman," Bendall said after he took the bag.

"Okay, remember the rules and be home before dinner." The Devil said.

"Yes Daddy," Bendall said.

"And if you get into any sort of trouble, just roar and I'll come rushing over."

"Yes, Daddy,"

"Or in the event you decide you want to call it quits and—"

"Dad! I can handle it." Bendall said.

The Devil sighed. "Of course, you can. Raise a little hell for those mortals and remember your... other job." He winked.

Bendall winked back. "Yes, Daddy. Whatever you say." He said.

The Devil stood back before he slammed the pitchfork down. The little devil disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Happy tears formed in The Devil's eyes, and he sniffed…

"My little pest is off to cause trouble to innocent people. This must be how parents feel when they send their kids to school for the first time," The Devil said.

"Tissue?" Henchman said as he offered some tissue paper to the boss. The purple demon also had happy tears in his eyes.

"Thank you, Henchman," The Devil said before taking a few tissues and blowing his nose.

Thanks to The Devil's contribution, Joey Drew was not only able to pay off the jerks at the bank but also pay off the people he owed money for helping finance the studio. Including business tycoon Mr. Nathan Arch, father of Joey's friend Wilson Arch who had a job at the studio as maintenance. But more on him later.

Joey and Henry soon learned that had a serial prankster on the loose at the studio. For nearly two weeks people at the studio got scared one way or another. Someone or something had taken a Bendy cutout and was using it to scare employees. Placing them somewhere to jump scare, its face peeking out at the end of hallways, and writing messages on the walls with ink.

PEEKABOO!

BOO!

LET ME OUT OF HERE!

Wilson did not have fun having to wash away or paint over the graffiti every time.

One time, Henry was walking down a hallway, and a Bendy cutout appeared at the end of the hall before it slipped away. When he ran down to find the culprit, he didn't find anyone.

But this wasn't all.

One day the studio's music composer, Samuel Lawrence, came to Joey Drew's office to tell him about his encounter. Samuel was a human man in his mid to late 20s with pale skin, long blonde hair tied back in a ponytail, and soft brown eyes. He wore a light brown shirt with the sleeves pulled up, brown pants held up with suspenders and black shoes.

"Last night, while I was finalizing my latest music sheets, I heard... giggling," Samuel said.

"Giggling?" Joey asked.

"Yes. And judging by the pitch, it was a child. And I heard something moving around in the vents. So, either we have mocking rats hiding in the vents or we have ghosts."

Joey chuckled. "Well, whatever it is I'll be sure to look into it. Thanks for sharing, Sammy," he said.

"Samuel, if you please, sir," the man said before he stood up and left the office.

Henry walked into Joey's office after Samuel left.

"So, what do you think it is?" Henry asked.

"I'm not sure but-..."

CREAK

Just as Joey spoke, both men heard something move in the air duct above them. Henry eyed the air vent above Joey's desk and slowly pulled up a chair right under it. There came a scampering sound, Henry bolted, and pried off the vent. He looked around but there was nothing there.

"Damn it!" Henry cursed. He lowers his head to look at Joey. "It's gone."

A soft giggle echoed in the air duct.

"No. It's still here." Joey said.

"Should we call animal control?" Henry asked.

"Not just yet. We don't even know what this thing is yet. I'll do a little inspection myself. In the meantime, get back to work and I'll tell you if I find anything."

Henry shrugged and went to his office.

Later in the Underworld Headquarters, in Bendall's room, Bendall was telling his father about his day at the studio while lying in his bed.

"It's been so much fun! Hearing the people shriek and gasp is so funny!" the little devil said.

"Ha! That's wonderful my little pest." The Devil said, beaming. "I'm glad you're having fun. But you're not hindering their work, are you?"

"No Daddy. I just scare them a bit, that's all."

"Good." The Devil said, patting his son's head.

Bendall thought for a moment. "Dad. Why did Joey Drew make a cartoon about a demon?"

"You were there when he explained this. Drew said his business partner thought he dreamed up the image of Bendy." The Devil said. "Obviously he was wrong," He tucked his son in and lightly kissed his forehead. "In any case, I got another soul indebted to me out of it," he said with a smile.

Bendall closed his eyes. "Good night, Daddy," he said.

"Good night, son," The Devil said before exiting the room.

The next day, Bendall was crawling around the air duct in the studio when his tongue caught a delicious scent in the air. Curious, he followed the scent and eventually he found the source on one of the overhead vents.

It was cheese on a mouse trap.

Bendall licked his lips and crawled over to the trap. It was easy to just reach for the cheese and—

Suddenly, the floor gave way under him, and he fell into a net hooked to the ceiling in a dark room. A bell hanging from the net jingled as he struggled to break free. Light flooded in as a door opened and the little devil froze.

"Aha!" Joey said victoriously. "I got you!" He flipped a light switch, revealing the room to be a small office closet. "Let's see what we—" he paused when he saw Bendall who stared back at him.

The little devil knew he had been found and was expecting the man to get mad and yell at him. To his surprise, Joey did none of that. Instead, the man smiled before getting closer.

"Well hello there," Joey said. "I expected to catch a rat, but this is even better."

When he reached for Bendall, the little devil hissed at him and moved frantically in the net only to get all tangled up.

"Hey, hey, easy little fella," Joey said. "You're only making it worse. Take it easy."

Bendall froze when the man reached for him again. Joey lightly scratched Bendall's back and this seemed to be enough to calm him down some. The man then unhooked the net, carried the little devil to his desk, and set him down before slowly untangling the net. As soon as he was free, Bendall backed away, hopped off the desk, and hid behind a chair.

"I was wondering if you'd ever come back," Joey said, his smile never wavering. "I'm glad you did."

"Y-You are?" Bendall asked.

"Yes. After all, you're the star of my show." Joey said. "Or at least you are the inspiration. Oh, I just realized we haven't been properly introduced. My name is Joey Drew. You can call me Joey or Papa Drew if you like." He chuckled.

The little devil stood out of his hiding place. "I'm Bendall Devil." He said with a bow.

"Well, I'm pleased to meet you officially. So, why are you here exactly?"

"I'm just... um. Passing through,"

"Passing through? In the air vents?" Joey asked with a knowing smile.

The little devil didn't respond to that.

"Hey, since you're here. I want to show you something." Joey said. He went to his desk and pulled out a box. Briefly glancing at Bendall, the man opened the box and pulled out a stuffed Bendy doll. "This is a prototype of our latest product. A Bendy doll." He placed the doll across the desk for Bendall to see.

Bendall cautiously stepped closer and looked at the doll. He looks at Joey for a second.

The man nodded with approval.

The little devil grabbed the doll and smiled before he hugged it.

"You like it?" Joey asked.

Bendall nodded.

"I like it too. Soon they'll be in stores everywhere and kids will love them. They already love Bendy."

"Love... Bendy the demon?"

"That's right."

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Joey, it's Henry," came the young man's voice behind the door.

Bendall gasped.

"Don't panic. Here," Joey said. He ushered Bendall into the closet. "Wait here, please," the man said before he closed the closet door. "Come in Henry."

The young man entered the office and shut the door behind him.

"We got a problem. The interpretive actor for Bendy just quit." Henry said.

"You're kidding?" Joey said. "What happened?"

"Something about an existential crisis. Bottom line, he stormed out and now we got no one to act out as Bendy for the animation team."

Joey's mind raced for a second but when he glanced at his closet a lightbulb flashed over his head.

"Actually, we do have someone," Joey said.

"We do?" Henry asked.

The older man walked to the closet, peeked inside, and then turned around to face his business partner.

"Let me ask you Henry, who better to act as Bendy than Bendy himself?" Joey said before opening the closet door, revealing the little devil still holding the doll.

Henry stood back. "What's he doing here?" he asked.

"He's said he's passing by but now he can help us," Joey said.

"You want him to act out as Bendy?"

"And why not? He is the original devil darling, isn't he?"

"I guess, but we don't even know if he's qualified,"

Joey looked at Bendall. "Do you know how to act like a little devil?" he asked.

"I am a little devil," Bendall answered.

"Can you dance?"

Bendall answered that with a quick tap dance.

"Do you know how to act on a stage?"

Bendall gave a far-off look. "She should have died hereafter;" He said dramatically. "There would have been a time for such a word. To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow, creeps in this petty pace from day to day." He dropped to his knees.

"He's perfect," Joey said.

"Okay, just one more thing, Joey. Don't you think the other animators might get a little disturbed seeing a real devil here?"

"Oh, good point," Joey said when the realization hit him. He thought for a moment and then snapped his fingers. "I'll be right back." He said before grabbing his wallet, hat, and keys. "Watch the little guy till I get back."

"Wait, what?" Henry said. "What am I supposed to do with him?"

"Keep an eye on him and make sure no one else sees him until I get back," Joey said before he left. "I'll be quick."

Henry and Bendall just stood there awkwardly for a moment. The young man opened his mouth to speak but couldn't think of what to say. Bendall broke the silence.

"What's your name?"

"I'm Henry Stein." The man answered.

"Henry," Bendall said. "Have you seen these yet?" the little devil said as he held up the Bendy doll.

"Y-yeah. They're good," Henry said. He sat on the chair. "Um, if I may ask. How old are you?"

"How old are you?" Bendall asked.

"I'm 21," Henry answered. "You?"

"I'm... um," Bendall said before counting his fingers. "I'm six...ty two."

"Excuse me?" Henry asked.

"I'm sixty-two," Bendall answered.

The man was taken aback. He wasn't expecting that... but then, he didn't really know how demon ages work.

"I never would've guessed that," Henry said. "Um, I know this will be an odd question but bear with me. Do you remember meeting me years ago?"

"Years ago?" Bendall asked.

"Around thirteen years ago, I was a kid and I got really sick. I stayed in a hospital, and I think you sneaked into my room and spoke to me for several nights while I stayed there. You even danced for me a few times. Do you remember that?"

The little devil thought about it for a few seconds before he shook his head.

"Well, it's okay if you don't. It was a long time ago." Henry said.

"I sneak into a lot of places. My dad doesn't like it too much but it's too fun not to do," Bendall said.

"I imagine so," Henry said. "Why are you here, really? Does your dad want another soul?"

"Sure he does, but I'm here for me, not him."

Suddenly, Joey came back with a shopping bag.

"Okay, I got the stuff," Joey said.

"What stuff?" Henry asked.

"Just something for our star. Starting with accessories," Joey said before he pulled out a pair of yellowish gloves and a bow tie.

A Few Minutes Later...

Audrey and a few other animators were impatiently waiting in the stage room for the live actors. Suddenly, Joey walked on the stage with a smile on his face.

"Hello, animators. Thank you for your patience." Joey said. "Today we will be having a new actor for you to animate from. Meet Bendall."

Henry walked on stage with Bendall walking next to him. The little devil was now wearing gloves over his hands, a bowtie around his neck, and a thick belt around his waist meant to hide his tail. He also had a fake cat nose painted on his face.

Bendall was unsure about this at first, but when no one screamed at the sight of him and he got the chance to perform on a stage, he couldn't bring himself to leave. He was given a script and told, by Joey, to just do his best to play the part. The little devil performed as asked and the animators were pleased. After a few hours of acting, Joey took the little devil back to his office.

"That was great. You were great back there." Joey said.

"Thank you," Bendall said before wiping away the nose drawing on his face. "That was kinda fun."

Joey sat on his chair. "Hey Bendy," the man said.

"Huh?"

"I mean, Bendall," Joey said. He gestured for the little devil to take a seat.

Bendall sat on the chair on the other side of the desk.

"I just wanted you to know that I don't mind you being here," Joey said. "Or if you ever wanted to visit us again, that would be fine too."

"Really?" Bendall asked. "You mean I don't have to sneak around and stuff?"

"Ah, well. The thing is, you don't have to do that but, besides me and Henry, no one here knows that Bendy the demon was inspired by Bendall the devil. So, if you want to visit us and walk around the studio with us, we can't let anyone know you're a devil, that's why I got you this stuff and drew that nose on your face. Do you understand?"

"But I thought you said people liked the little demon, so why not me?"

"Because the Bendy Demon is a cartoon character. You're a real flesh and blood demon. That might scare people."

"I knew that," Bendall said, hanging his head and looking at the ground.

Joey got up, walked around his desk, and placed a hand on the little devil's hand.

"Hey, don't let that get you down," Joey said. "If this cartoon does well, who knows, maybe it will change people's minds in the future."

"You really think so?" Bendall asked, looking at Joey.

"With a talent and face like yours, it's a guarantee."

Bendall smiled.

DING DONG DING DONG

The little devil and the man looked at the clock. Five o'clock. Bendall gasped.

"I have to go!" Bendall said before he jumped off the chair. "Goodbye, Mr. Drew."

"Where are you going?" Joey asked.

"Home. It's almost dinner time." Bendall said as he ran to the closet.

"Wait! You will come back to visit again soon, won't you?"

"Um, sure. I'll be back." Bendall said before he walked into the closet and closed the door behind him.

"That's the closet," Joey said. He ran to the closet and opened the door. He flipped the light switch on, but the little devil was gone. "Bendall?" he asked.

No response. Bendall had vanished into the shadows.

Joey's lips curled up into a satisfied smile as he shut the door and returned to his desk. He grabbed the Bendy doll and imagined it was Bendall he was holding in his hands.

"My little friend, you and I are going to make history together. Not to mention fame and money. And that'll just be the start of it."

While he was in the elevator, Bendall took all his accessories off before the door opened in the Underworld and hid them in his pockets. He also didn't tell his dad he had been found for fear of losing his new haunting place. It'll be alright anyway, right?

The Next Day...

Audrey Drew came to work on time and got to work on her animation right away. She was a little impressed by the new performer her dad brought in yesterday. That Bendall cat kid looked so much like the character it surprised her. Odd that he managed to find a replacement so quickly, but it wasn't cause for alarm in her mind. She did want to ask her father something though, so she got up and walked to his office.

Miss Rodriguez was at her desk by the boss's office.

"Hello Audrey," Miss Rodriguez greeted.

"Hi Imelda, is he in his office?" Audrey asked.

"No, I think he's down in the composer's office."

"Oh, well, I'll just wait for him inside."

"Are you sure you want to do that?"

"It'll be fine Imelda. My dad won't fire me for waiting in his office."

Audrey went into Joey's office and closed the door behind her. She sat on the chair by the desk.

CLICK

"Hm? Dad?" Audrey asked as she turned around.

Suddenly the closet door closed, seemingly on its own.

"Dad? Are you in there?" Audrey asked. She sighed, got up, and walked to the closet. "If you're trying to scare me, it's not gonna work,"

The woman turned the handle and opened the closet.

Outside the office, Henry walked to Miss Rodriguez's desk.

"Hi Miss Rodriguez, is the boss in?" Henry asked.

"I'm right here," came Joey's voice behind Henry.

"Oh hey, have you seen Audrey?" Henry asked.

Before anyone could speak there came a loud shriek coming from Joey's office...

"Audrey!" Joey exclaimed before he, Henry, and Miss Rodriguez ran into Joey's office.
