"AND NOW FOR PART 2 OF BLEAK FALLS BARROW!" Ed announced.
"Ed! Kindly stop talking to the readers and help us prepare!" Edd huffed as he looked over their remaining supplies. "Let's see...weapons, arrows, poisons and potions, the Golden Claw, and a few strange books I've picked up."
"Don't forget all the cash and treasure we've found." Eddy said with a grin as he eyed the money.
"Eddy, please! I'm trying to make sure we're prepared to venture further into Bleak Falls Barrow. We may encounter creatures far larger and more terrifying than Giant Frostbite Spider." Edd stated while placing the arrows in a quiver he got from a bandit's body.
"Ah, no worries. What could be worse than that spider?" Eddy asked.
"The black dragon." Edd countered as he fished out a small cloth and unwrapped a few pieces of bread and some bottles. "Here. Miss Valerius was kind enough to give us some rations and, as much as I detest it, a few bottles of...Honningbrew Mead, if I'm reading this label correctly."
"Good. I'm hungry." Eddy said as he took his bread. "Where's the rest of it?"
"It's only bread. It's not a sandwich, Eddy." Edd stated as he took a bite from his own bread.
"Sheesh. Couldn't she have packed us something nicer?" Eddy grumbled as he took a bite.
"Ed is hungry!" Ed said before shoving his share into his mouth and chewing. He then started drinking his drink before his eyes watered after swallowing. "Tasty burn." he rasped.
"You really must learn to sip, Ed." Edd sighed before he took a swallow of his own drink. "It...actually, this has a rather nice aftertaste." he said while Eddy coughed after drinking his own drink.
"Man, I want a soda." Eddy wheezed.
"Unfortunately, I don't think anyone here in this...world...has ever even heard of a soda." Edd stated, making Eddy groan as they finished their food. "Well, gentlemen, I believe now would be a good time to continue our little excursion into Bleak Falls Barrow."
"Yeah! Let us go and find the treasure!" Ed grinned.
"You said the magic word, Lumpy!" Eddy said while greedily rubbing his hands together.
"What word? Go?" Ed asked.
"No, Ed." Edd answered as they started walking.
"Let?"
"No."
"Yeah?"
"No!"
"Us?"
"Shut up, Ed!" Eddy snapped as they walked back towards the room with the Frostbite Spiders. "Hope we got them all this time." Eddy said as he watched the ceiling, the three of them armed and ready to attack. They kept a lookout as they cut the rest of the webbing away before they exited the room, allowing them to relax a little. They then came to a room with burial urns that Eddy began to raid for treasures.
"Cool." Ed said after finding a silver ring in one urn.
"Hmm." Edd hummed as he looked at the ring in Ed's hand. "Judging by the coloring, I'd say that this ring is made of silver and-" he said before Eddy shoved him out of the way.
"I'll be taking that!" Eddy grinned as he grabbed at the ring, only for Ed to pull it away. "What the-?! Ed! Give me that!"
"Finder Keepers!" Ed laughed before Eddy tackled him.
"Give it!"
"I found it!"
"Let go!"
"Uh uh!"
"Can you two please cease and desist?" Edd asked in annoyance. When they showed no signs of doing so, he sighed and sat down against the wall. "Honestly, I don't know why I put up with them." he muttered as he searched through his bag and took out the strange book he found earlier. "A bit of otherworldy literature might help pass the time." he said before opening the book.
Ed was smiling as he kept the ring away from Eddy, who was still fighting tooth and nail to get the piece of jewelry.
"You know the rules, Ed! What's mine is mine and what's yours is mine!" Eddy stated. "Now give me the dumb ring already!"
"Keep away! Keep away!" Ed laughed as he kept moving the ring around and out of Eddy's reach.
"Ed! Give it already!" Eddy snapped as he latched onto the hand Ed currently had the ring in. "Open your fingers, Ed!" he ordered as he tried to get the ring.
thump
Ed blinked at the sound and looked around, his arm still held high as Eddy tried to get the ring. He stopped looking and his eyes widened when he saw Edd slumped against the wall, his eyes glazed and unfocused and the book next to him.
"DOUBLE D!" the dumbest Ed yelled as he threw his arms out, launching Eddy upwards before he fell back to the ground.
"...I got it." Eddy weakly chuckled as he laid on the floor, the silver ring now in his hand.
"DOUBLE D! WAKE UP!" Ed yelled as he shook Edd about, gaining Eddy's attention.
"What happened to Sockhead?" Eddy asked as Edd finally started to stir.
"EeEeEeEeDdDd! StOp ShAkInG mEeEeEeE!" Edd got out. When Ed finally stopped, Edd's head wobbled a bit and his eyes spun. "Thank you...Now please put me down." he slurred.
"What happened to you, Double D?" Eddy asked after finally joining the two.
"W-Well...while you two were fighting over a simple piece of jewelry, I was going to read the strange book I found earlier until you two finally stopped." Edd explained after coming to his senses. "I was quite enjoying it's contents, but found myself feeling rather strange. The next thing I knew, I was being violently shaken by Ed."
"Wow. The book must've been real boring if it made you fall asleep." Eddy chuckled as he picked up the book and opened it before frowning. "What is this? It's nothing but a bunch of blank pages." he said after quickly flipping through it.
"What?" Edd said as he took the book and flipped through it. "It can't be. These pages were full of literature!" he exclaimed before the book slowly crumbled to ash. "THIS CAN'T BE!" he yelled, absolutely perplexed at the situation before him. "HOW COULD THE CONTENT OF THE BOOK DISAPPEAR?! WHY DID IT CRUMBLE TO ASH?! WHY-"
"Why are you still standing here when we should be finding the treasure?" Eddy asked. "Come on. Let's go already!" he said as he pushed a still confused Edd along, with Ed bringing up the rear. A bit of walking later and the three found themselves in a room full of large holes in the wall, each one containing a mummified corpse resting within.
"Cool!" Ed muttered in awe.
"What's with all the stiffs?" Eddy asked.
"This must be a tomb of sorts. Intriguing." Edd whispered before suddenly stopping. "Oh dear. Gentlemen, I believe I know why there was gold and jewels inside those containers earlier."
"Why?" Ed asked.
"Those vases were burial urns that are used to hold the possessions of the departed on their journey to the afterlife." Edd explained with a worried expression. "Which means that, by taking the contents of the urns, we have committed grave robbery!"
"Oh no! We are criminals!" Ed yelled.
"Eddy, if that treasure we're seeking is also a buried possession, I insist we give up on finding it and return all the treasures we've taken since our arrival." Edd insisted. Eddy blinked at that before he started to cackle.
"HAHAHAHA! Yeah right! No way am I giving any of this loot back!" Eddy laughed.
"Eddy, this 'loot' is not any of ours! We can't take any of this!" Edd snapped.
"Says who? Besides, they're dead. They can't take it with them." Eddy answered.
"But Eddy. This is a different world. Maybe they can take it with them." Ed said in a rare moment of intelligence passed through his tiny mind.
"Oh really? What are they gonna? Rise up and demand it back?" Eddy scoffed with a grin. He then frowned when he noticed Edd had gone pale, his mouth opened in terror as he rapidly pointed behind him.
"Cool~!" Ed exclaimed as he looked behind Eddy.
"What?" Eddy asked before looking behind himself. His eyes nearly bugged out when he saw three draugr standing behind him, each of them having blue glows in their eye sockets.
"...give..." the one up front rasped as he extended his bony hand out towards Eddy. "...give...back...treasures..." he continued with his palm out. Eddy looked at the hand, then at the loot still in his own hands.
"Eddy, I think he wants his possessions back! I suggest you give it back!" Edd quickly squeaked out."
"No way! It's mine!" he snapped in anger as he clenched his hands shut.
"You and your greed." Edd groaned as the corpses each took out a weapon.
"DIE!" the lead one growled as he raised his war mace, making Eddy scream as he ran away.
"ED! DO SOMETHING!" Eddy yelled.
"I can't! I might kill them like I did the bandits!" Ed answered as he trembled.
"Ed, the bandits earlier were alive! These creatures are already dead! Killing them is impossible!" Edd quickly explained as he quickly dodged another undead's strike.
"So...Ed can fight?"
"WITH EXTREME PREJUDICE!" Edd answered.
"...huh?"
"YES!" Edd yelled before he fell on his back, his opponent readying it's sword to impale him. The smart Edd screamed in terror before a warhammer sent the corpse's head flying, leaving it to stand there before flopping lifelessly to the ground.
"Got him!" Ed laughed as Edd sighed in relief.
"Thank you, ED!" Edd yelped when another corpse charged at Ed from behind. "STAY AWAY!" he yelled as he reached his hand out towards the corpse, a blast of cold air shooting out of his palm. The corpse grunted as it was caught by surprise before Ed smashed his hammer though it's ribs, shattering it's spine as well.
"YOU WILL NOT DEFEAT US TODAY, UNDEAD MONSTERS FROM IN THE WALLS!" Ed roared before looking at Edd. "That was so cool, Double D! You blasted him with ice!"
"I-I...I-uh...that...hehehe...cold...cold air...out of my...my hand...hehehe...I just...at him and-" Edd babbled out with a grin before he fainted.
"Double D?" Ed said as he looked down at his friend. "Are you sleeping?"
"WAKE HIM UP AND SAVE ME, LUMPY!" Eddy screeched as he kept running from the same undead creature that was still chasing him. He looked over his shoulder before ducking under a swing. "IT'S JUST A FEW STUPID GOLD COINS! WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?! ROT ALL OVER IT?!" he asked as he ran faster. Suddenly, a loud *CLICK* rang out after the creature stepped on a certain stone, causing a door that was covered in dust to swing out and smash against it, impaling the monster and leaving it dead on it's spikes. Eddy stopped running to catch his breath before laughing at the creature's fate. "HA! THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR MESSING WITH ME!" he yelled before the trap swung back, flinging the corpse off and onto Eddy. "GET HIM OFF! GET HIM OFF ME!" the loud Ed shrieked in terror before pushing the double dead body off of him. "...Gleergh!" Eddy groaned before wiping his hands all over himself. "That was disgusting." he muttered before seeing Ed standing over an unconscious Edd and approached them, thankfully missing the button for the trap. "Hey Ed. What's with Double D?"
"It was so cool, Eddy! Double D shot ice out of his hand and into the zombie's face!" Ed exclaimed as he mimicked Edd's actions from earlier.
"Double D did what?" Eddy asked in confusion before Edd slowly got up off the ground, his face blank. "Hey, Double D. You have any idea what Ed's talking-"
"I. CAN'T. TAKE IT ANYMORE!" Edd howled, his voice bouncing off the walls and echoing throughout the Barrow. "First, my prop becomes real and teleports us to a strange new world. Then, I'm about to be executed for a crime I did not commit! Then a dragon appears and burns a city to ruins! And let's not forget about the giant spiders, a war, possibly more dragons, bandits and, let's not forget, the dead rising up and attacking us! And to top it all off, I had arctic cold temperatures come out of my hand!" he ranted, his friends watching him pace back and forth before smacking his head against the nearest wall with each word he spoke next. "I. WANT. TO. GO. HOME!"
"Eddy...Double D's dark side is showing." Ed said as he hid behind his friend while Edd continued to smack his head against the wall before stopping when he started seeing stars. He rested his head against the wall before turning and sliding down to sit. Eddy looked at him before he walked over and sat next to him.
"Get it out of your system?" he asked, earning a nod from the smart Ed. "Feel better?" Edd shook his head no. "Well, we can't stay here. The other zombies might wake up."
"...indeed." Edd quietly muttered as the two of them got back to their feet. "Let us finish this and get out of here."
"Okay." Ed said with a grin as they began to walk further in.
"Careful of that fence. It swings out at you." Eddy said as he looked at the recently sprung spiked fence. The three of them hugged the wall to stay out of it's range before continuing onward, their footsteps silent as they could get so as to not awaken anymore of the draugr.
"Nice and quiet." Eddy whispered.
"Slow and steady." Edd muttered.
"HEY GUYS! HELP! MY HEAD'S STUCK!" Ed yelled, a giant burial urn over his head as he flailed about, breaking more urns and causing a racket.
"Ed! Shut up! You're gonna wake the dead!" Eddy quickly said.
"Too late!" Edd exclaimed as he saw a few of the corpses move out of their spots on the walls.
"Ed, you idiot! You woke the zombies!" Eddy shouted.
"Where?! I'll get them!" Ed's voice echoed inside the urn as he took out his warhammer and starting to blindly swing it everywhere. One charged him, but was swiftly defeated when Ed smashed it's it's boney face in with the warhammer.
"That's it, Lumpy! Get them!" Eddy cheered before his eyes widened when Ed started coming towards him. "NOT ME! THEM! THE ZOMBIES!" Eddy yelled as he ran while Edd had to duck to avoid one of Ed's swings.
"CAREFUL, ED!" Edd shouted as two more draugr tried to attack Ed, only for Ed to knock one's head off while the other was smashed into a wall, leaving one more to charge at Ed.
"RUN, ED!" Eddy ordered.
"WHERE?!" Ed answered as he took off further in.
"EDD! STOP!" Edd yelled when he saw the swinging blades Ed was running towards. "YOU'RE ABOUT TO BE BISECTED!"
"WHAT'D YOU SAY, DOUBLE D?!" Ed asked as he kept on running.
"I can't watch!" Edd yelped as he pulled his hat over his eyes while Ed ran through the blades, each one missing him completely.
CRASH!
Ed finally stopped after running into a wall, the urn on his head breaking into little pieces and crumbling all under his feet.
"Who's there?" he asked when he could see again before he heard something hit the floor behind him. He turned and looked down to see a draugr on the floor, it's top half in little pieces. "Oh, he don't look so good."
"Is it over?" Edd asked.
"It's over, and he's okay!" Eddy answered. Edd pulled his hat off his eyes before sighing in relief.
"Ed, please refrain from blindly running on ahead in the future." Edd ordered as he approached the blades. He looked around before noticing a chain next to Ed. "Ed, pull that chain. It may stop the blades."
"Okay." Ed grinned as he pulled it. As Edd predicted, the swinging blades stopped swinging, allowing safe passage through.
"Thank you, Ed. Now, shall we continue?" Edd asked.
"Hang on." Eddy said as he finished looting the pockets of the draugr, making Edd scowl as Eddy pulled a gold necklace off of one of them. "Come to papa!" he said while Edd groaned again.
"Let's just get going. And Ed? Please don't get your head stuck in anymore jars." Edd sighed as they continued onward. They silently crept through the barrow, making sure not to wake anymore draugr, while also grabbing more loot and gold on the way. They had come upon one that had suddenly burst out of a stone coffin of sorts, but Ed quickly pushed it back in and slammed the lid back on so hard that the coffin not only was pushed back further into the wall, but the rocks above crumbled and buried it, leaving the Eds to quickly continue. They kept on walking before coming to a door guarded by a single draugr.
"Is that the only one?" Eddy asked as he peeked out from behind the rocks he and his friends were hiding behind.
"I believe so." Edd answered as he looked as well.
"Perfect. Ed can handle this." said Eddy. Ed grinned and gripped his warhammer before Edd raised a hand.
"If I may?" he said before quietly sneaking over to another spot. He then took out his bow and drew an arrow when the draugr looked away. He aimed and held his breath before firing, nailing the undead in the head and killing it instantly. Edd stayed in position for a moment before exhaling and falling on his butt.
"Nice shot, Double D!" Eddy exclaimed before frowning. "Wait a minute. If you could hit them that well, why'd you miss with the bandit earlier?"
"I was afraid a careless shot would take their life. These...zombies are already dead." Edd answered.
"Nice. Now...treasure!" Eddy yelled with glee at the sight of another chest.
"Oh, goody goody!" Ed said as he ripped the lid off like it wasn't locked tight, spilling out a few bits of gold, some arrows and a potion that broke when it hit the ground.
"Nice one, Ed." Eddy said with a frown as he looked at the spilled potion.
"Thanks, Eddy!" Ed said with an oblivious smile before the three of them walked past the doors.
-Bleak Falls Sanctum-
The trio kept exploring deeper in, their eyes peeled for any other traps or enemies or, in Eddy's case, more loot to swipe. They ducked under another swinging blade trap before entering a large room with draugr. They had no time to examine the area as a draugr was slowly rising from a stone crypt nearby.
"Go to sleep, Mr. Zombie!" Ed yelled as he smashed it's head with his warhammer. Sadly, the noise attracted the attention of two other draugr nearby.
"Ed, you idiot!" Eddy groaned before looking at Edd as he readied his bow. "What are you waiting for?! Take the shot!" Eddy ordered while shaking his friend, making him shoot the arrow way off target, hitting a hanging pot instead. They watched as it fell between the draugr before blowing up and setting the oil that was, for some reason, spread out on the floor. The explosion and spreading flames set the two draugr ablaze, making them grunt and dance about before they fell into burning heaps. "Nice shot, Double D." Eddy said with a smile while Edd glared at him.
"Please refrain from shaking me while I'm aiming in the future, Eddy." he said.
"What's with you? We beat them, didn't we?" Eddy asked before wandering off. "Now let's see what kind of loot we can find in here."
"Is that all you can think about?" Edd asked. "Did you not hear me say that these possessions are buried with the dead? Everything belongs to them! The weapons, the gold, the jewels-"
"The books." Ed added.
"Even the...books?" Edd finished in confusion. He turned to see Ed holding a few books in his hands.
"They don't have pictures, though." Ed stated as he opened a book titled 'Forge, Hammer and Anvil.' Edd flipped through the other two books titled 'Dragon Language: Myth no More' and 'Gods and Worship.'
"Who cares about some dumb books?" Eddy asked.
"Eddy! These books could contain vital information on this world." Edd answered before looking back at the book. "To think that there would be literature buried here, untouched by any soul. It's criminal, I tell you!" he said while Eddy grinned.
"Yeah, it sure is." Eddy said as he picked up one of the books. "There's probably tons of people who would want to read these. Well, too bad they won't. I mean, these are probably the dead's stuff." Edd stared into space as Eddy continued. "Guess we'll just have to leave them here. All alone. In the dark. Where no one can read them at all." he finished as he walked away with a dramatic frown. He kept an eye on Edd as the smart Ed bit his lip before groaning.
"Well...it would be a shame to leave these books down here. They were made to be read by others." Edd stated. "I believe that we should-"
"Take them with us along with the other loot? Great idea, Double D!" Eddy said while wrapping an arm around Edd's neck. Edd was annoyed but stayed quiet as the three of them began to search the room for any weapons or valuables. After finding some more arrows and money, the three of them continued onwards into a long corridor, a strange door blocking the way. It was a large door with a three point keyhole in the middle, surrounded by three spinning outer circles that had various images of animals engraved on them.
"Gentlemen, I believe we may have found the door to the treasure." Edd stated.
"So the loot Arvel wanted is back here? Sweet! Let's break it open and grab the goods!" said Eddy. "So...how do we open it?"
"Hello? Treasure?! Are you in there?!" Ed yelled while knocking on the door.
"You gotta love him." Eddy chuckled before taking the Claw and putting it into place. "Three holes, three fingers. Easy." he said as he tried to turn it. Suddenly, the spot where the claw goes opened up, allowing a boxing glove to shoot out and sock Eddy in the face before disappearing back inside.
"A BOXING GLOVE?!" Edd yelled. "THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THERE! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!"
[Don't yell at me! Darklord331 requested this!]
Edd rubbed his temples before opening Arvel's jounal.
"Let's see...Aha!" Edd stated as he started to rotate the outer circles.
"What are you doing, Sockhead?" Eddy slurred as he looked up off the ground.
"Arvel wrote...'When you have the Golden Claw...the answer would be in the palm...of your hand.'" he said as he finished turning the circles. He then showed his friends the palm of the Golden Claw, the three symbols inside matching the symbols that Edd spun to. "He was referring to this. Now that the engravings all match, the door should open this time." he said before putting the claw in the correct position and turning. When he removed the claw, the outer circles spun before the door slowly descended, allowing them passage.
"Cool!" Ed exclaimed.
"Alright! Time for the treasure!" Eddy said with a grin as the three made their way inside. They soon came upon a large cavern inside with a waterfall inside. "Check it out!" Eddy said while pointing at a chest lying next to a stone coffin. "Sweet!" Eddy stated as he ran over to it.
"Eddy, be careful! That chest might be guarded!" Edd warned before Eddy opened the chest. He quickly dug in before coming out with another book, two Hide Shields and a small pouch full of gold. "This is it? What a rip off!" Eddy huffed before he started counting the gold. "Let's see how much we got."
"This book looks a little like the other one I had that turned to ash. Intriguing." Edd stated before seeing strange symbols on the stone wall. "Hmm? What sort of writing is this?" he asked as he took a closer look.
"Is it instructions to a bigger treasure?" Eddy asked as he looked at the words. "What is all this?"
"I'm unsure. I've never seen letters like this." Edd answered as he gently ran his fingers over the words. "The book I was reading earlier had English letters. Perhaps this is some sort of ancient language."
"Well, figure it out." Eddy ordered.
"And how do you propose I do that? I know nothing of this world!" Edd countered.
"You're the smart one! You're supposed to know this stuff!" Eddy snapped.
"I haven't had a chance to study this world's language, or culture or anything! How could I possibly know anything?! I'm a clueless about this world as you and Ed!" Edd yelled.
"Hey, guys?" Ed spoke up.
"What?!" his friends yelled.
"Why is this word glowing blue and chanting?" Ed asked as he approached the wall.
"What are you talking about? I don't see a blue glow." Eddy answered. Suddenly, one word on the wall glowed before a strange light came out and flowed into Ed's eyes. "Oh...now I see it." Eddy said with wide eyes before the glow vanished.
"Ed! What happened?!" Edd asked in a panic.
"My brain feels tingly." Ed answered with a chuckle.
"What brain?" Eddy asked before a sound caught their attention. They turned to see the lid on the nearby coffin had popped off, allowing the draugr inside to step out and brandish a war axe. "Uh oh! I think we woke it up! ED! PUT HIM BACK TO SLEEP!"
"Got it, Eddy!" Ed nodded before charging with his warhammer. He swung in a downwards motion, the hammer aimed at the draugr's head, only for it to grab the hammer's head before it Ed could kill him. "Uh, Eddy? It didn't work." Ed stated as the draugr glared at him.
"FUS!"
The three of them staggered back as a mysterious force erupted from the draugr's mouth, pushing them back.
"Gentlemen, I believe that this zombie will not be going down as easily as the others!" Edd nervously said as he and his friends got ready for a fight.
"THIEVES! TRESPASSERS!" the draugr growled before lunging at Eddy, who yelped and began dodging his war axe. He then tried to split Eddy's head before the loudest Ed dodged again, causing him to lodge his axe into the wall.
"HA! MISSED ME!" Eddy gloated before a frost covered the area around the axe until the draugr ripped it out. He then tried to kill Eddy again, the axe coming so close that it froze the beads of sweat that were on Eddy's face. "What are you two doing?! Having a tea party?! HELP ME OUT HERE!" he shouted at his friends, only to find one missing. "WHERE'S DOUBLE D?!"
The Ed in question was aiming at the draugr from a safe distance with his bow and arrow. He let it fly, the arrow soaring towards the draugr and-
TINK!
-was deflected by the draugr bringing it's axe up to block it.
"Oh dear." Edd whispered while Eddy quickly ran off. The draugr made to pursue him before blocking Ed's warhammer.
"LEAVE ED'S FRIENDS ALONE, ZOMBIE!" Ed roared as the two began to trade blows.
"How come Ed's not winning?!" Eddy asked Edd after running up to him.
"Ed has raw strength, but that means nothing if he can't hit him." Edd answered as they watched the draugr deflect Ed's hammer swings. "We need to give Ed an opening."
"Like what?" Eddy asked.
"Anything!" Edd answered.
"Fine." Eddy huffed before he started looking around. He then started gathering rocks before he began chucking them at the draugr, who wasn't bothered by them at all. "IT'S NOT WORKING!" Eddy yelled as he kept throwing them before seeing Edd creeping towards the draugr.
"I hope this works." Edd muttered before thrusting his hands towards the draugr, only for nothing to happen. "Oh no! Work! Come on! Please!" he said as he frantically kept thrusting his hands towards the draugr. "Rrrrgh WORK, CURSE YOU!" he yelled as he thrust them forward one last time, a stream of cold shooting from them and at the draugr's back. The draugr responded by turning towards Edd and pushing him back with another force from his mouth, making the smart Edd stumble.
"BEGONE, ZOMBIE!"
The draugr turned just in time to get a warhammer strike to the eye, which was followed up with others until it's head was completely pulverized. All three Eds were panting in other exhaustion or from their adrenaline wearing off as they gathered around their fallen enemy.
"Is it dead for good?" Eddy asked as he gently nudged the body with his foot.
"I...I believe so." Edd answered.
"WE WIN!" Ed cheered as he held his warhammer above his head.
"Indeed." Edd nodded before collasping onto his ass. "That was...terrifying."
"You said it. All that for what? 80 pieces of gold? This stinks." Eddy huffed.
"Maybe there's more somewhere?" Ed suggested.
"Ed may have a point. This chamber is quite large. There could be treasure somewhere." Edd agreed.
"Then let's find it!" Eddy ordered before taking off.
"I said there could be treasure! And be on your guard for more enemies!" Edd yelled before he and Edd began searching as well. A bit of searching had them find two more chests in the room. One behind the waterfall that contained an Amethyst and a Dwarven sword, and one behind the wall full of strange writing containing a Copper and Moonstone Circlet, some gold and two more books that looked like the one that turned to ash.
"Look at me!" Ed laughed as he wore the circlet on his head.
"Now this is treasure!" Eddy stated as he handled the jewels while Edd carefully put the books away. "Hey! What about that dead zombie?! I bet he's got some cool stuff on him!"
"I WANT THE AXE!" Ed yelled as he and Eddy ran over to the body while Edd sighed.
"What the heck is this?" Eddy asked as he held up a stone tablet.
"Interesting. What are these symbols on it supposed to mean?" Edd asked as he examined it before yawning. "Well, perhaps we can study it more at Riverwood."
"Sounds good. I'm getting sick of this place." Eddy huffed as they gathered their things. "Let's get out of here."
"Should we go back the way we came, or perhaps check what is up there?" Edd asked while pointing up the stairs inside the room.
"You want to go further in?" Eddy asked.
"No. I'm simply hoping that this place has another exit besides the one we went through. Otherwise, we'll have to go all the way back through all the rooms that contain monsters and traps." Edd explained.
"Good point. Up we go!" Eddy nodded as they ascended the stairs. They followed the path before coming to a small switch at a dead end. "Nice idea, Double D."
"What's this do?" Ed asked before pulling it, causing the wall of rock to descend and reveal a path. "Cool!"
"Shall we?" Edd asked as they kept going, coming to a small room with another chest that Eddy quickly emptied.
"Mine!" he yelled before they kept going until finally, at long last, they were out of Bleak Falls Barrow.
"We made it!" Ed cheered as he stepped outside, the area being hit with rain.
"And we got the claw!" Eddy laughed as he held it up above his head like a trophy.
ZAP!
Eddy's body was then charred black as a bolt of lightning zapped the claw and electrocuted Eddy before he fell over.
"...I hate this place."
A/N: Someone asked me to stop breaking the fourth wall so much. I'll try, but it's hard not to when it's so much fun and they did it in the show. Also, because of my new job, I won't have as much time to work on these stories. I know that I'm behind on a lot of them already, but I am working on them.
