"Kin! Kill her!" Zaku shouted.
The female sound ninja struck at Sakura from behind. Sakura poofed, using a substitution jutsu. Then Sakura quickly reappeared and charged at Zaku, throwing kunais. He used his soundwave to bounce them back. Sakura quickly used another substitution jutsu and reappeared above him in the air. The sound ninja threw kunais at Sakura, hitting her again. But, she didn't vanish. Sakura pulled out her kunai, slamming into the sound ninja, knocking them both to the ground as she stabbed him in the wrist. Sakura quickly bit down on the sound ninja's other wrist as she tried to pin him down.
"Let go of me!" Zaku shouted as he tried to beat Sakura, repeatedly, to make you release him. Sakura tried to hold on as her face became bloody from the punches. Then Zaku finally managed to pull Sakura off of him and threw her on the ground.
"You brat!" he growled and aimed his hands at her, about to release a sound wave at Sakura. Just as he fired, Ino, Shikamaru and Choji quickly appeared in front of Sakura, protecting her from the blast.
"What are you three doing here?!" Yuri shouted.
"Ino?" Sakura's eyes widen when she saw her rival. Ino smirked.
"Sakura, I won't lose to you. I already told you that." "I won't let you be the only who looks good in front of Sasuke."
"Looks like more Leaf insects have scurried into the open." the bandaged sound ninja spoke.
"What were you two thinking?! These guys are too dangerous! Let go of my scarf, Shikamaru!"
"Yeah, right, idiot. This sucks but we have no choice. If Ino comes out then us men can't run away."
"I'm sorry to get you both involved but we're a team. We share the same destiny."
"We'll get through it somehow."
Zaku laughed. "You can leave if you want, fatty."
"What did he say?"
"I said you can leave, fatso."
"I'M NOT FAT! I'M JUST CHUBBY, DAMN IT!" Choji shouted, enraged. "Alright, guys, this is a war between Leaf and Sound!"
"Man, this is going to be a drag."
"That's our line. Man, we were supposed to kill Sasuke and take the other girl before the end of this exam."
"Sakura, Yuri, take care of those two."
"Alright, time for InoShikaCho!"
"Partial Expansion Jutsu!" Choji made his body bloat up big, like a ball. He tucked his head and arms and legs in and rolled, fast, at Zaku. Sound ninja used his soundwave, trying to bounce Choji back, but he bounced straight into the air. Choji was about to crash down on top of him. The other sound ninja quickly rushed towards the two, to stop Choji.
"Shadow Possession Jutsu!" Shikamaru extended his shadow and connected his shadow with the sound ninja's, stopping him in his tracks. Zaku barely managed to move out of the way when Choji came crashing down. Shikamaru made the other sound ninja pose in a goofy form with his hands on his hand.
"Dosu! What are you doing?!" Kin shouted.
"Ino, now!" Shikamaru shouted. Ino locked her forefingers and thumbs together into a circle and aimed them at the female sound ninja.
"Shikamaru, you better take care of my body!" She smiled. "Mind Transfer Jutsu!" Ino's body fell and Shikamaru caught her when Ino swapped her mind with the sound ninja's, entering into it. Then Ino pulled a kunai out, moving it closely towards the female's neck.
"If you guys move an inch, I'll kill this Kin girl! When I can't sense your chakra, I'll let her go! If you don't want it to end her, just leave your scroll and get out of here!"
The two sound ninjas, didn't move from the spots. They smirked and dark laugh. Yuri frowned. They don't care what happens to their teammate.
"They're going to-!" Yuri told to warn Ino, but it was too late. Zaku raised his hand and fired a sound wave, knocking Ino back. She slammed into a tree, hard and fell to the ground. Ino's real body started to cough up blood.
"These guys...They don't care if they're hurting their own." Ino glared at them.
"Our goals are not the scrolls or to safely complete this exam." Zaku smirked.
"It's Sasuke and Yuri." Dosu spoke. Then Shikamaru's shadow slowly began to shrink back retreating back to Shikamaru. "So you only have five minutes to use that jutsu. And judging from that girls jutsu, looks like she can enter her spirit into her opponents body and control it. But, from the looks of those internal injuries I inflicted on Kin, the same thing happens to her."
"I can't take anymore of this." A voice spoke. Everyone saw Neji and Ten Ten, standing on a tree branch, looking down at them. "Some minor sound ninjas bullying these second rate ninjas and declaring victory?"
Yuri stared at them in shock. She was so tired, she didn't even sense them at all!
"They keep coming out like cockroaches!" Zaku growled, annoyed. Ten Ten saw Lee lying on the ground, unconscious and so did Neji.
"Lee!" She cried out.
"You made a mistake." Neji narrowed his eyes at the sound ninjas, glaring at them. "That knocked out freak right there is part of our team and-" Neji unleashed his Byakugan. "You're going to pay for that!"
"If you don't like it so much then stop acting cool and come down here." Dosu taunted Neji. Neji's eyes widen when he saw something and he undid his Byakugan.
"That won't be necessary." He smirked. "He'll do it."
Yuri's eyes widened when she saw Sasuke walk past her and Sakura and stood in front of them, facing the sound ninjas. His curse mark had expanded on the left side of his body, covering his arm and his left face. Sakura's eyes widened in shock, but also in fear seeing the dangerous look in Sasuke's eyes. His Sharingan was activated, gazing at each of the sound ninjas like prey. He was like a completely different person.
"Who did that to you, Sakura?" Sasuke asked.
Yuri stared at him in shock, sensing an overwhelming amount of chakra being released from Sasuke's body. She glanced at the mark on Sasuke's neck in concern.
"Sasuke, your body-" Sakura sputtered, still in shock and in fear.
"Don't worry, it's just the power overflowing from within me." He spoke, darkly. "I feel great."
Yuri continued to watch, silently, keeping her eyes on Sasuke. Something was very wrong. This was not Sasuke, at least thought he was. The look in his eyes were very power hungry and filled with bloodlust.
"He gave me this power. I finally understand it now." Sasuke spoke. Sakura blinked at him in confusion.
"What are you talking about-"
"I am an avenger. Even if I must eat the devil's fruit, I am on path where I must gain power." Sasuke spoke and glared at the three sound ninjas. "Now, it was one of you guys, right?"
"Ino, this is bad! Get back in your body, now, or you'll get caught up in this!" Shikamaru shouted, carrying Ino's body as he ran for cover. "You too, Choji, we're hiding!" Ino quickly released her jutsu on the sound ninja and went back into her own body.
"H-His chakra is too large!" Dosu exclaimed, looking at Sasuke in fear.
"Dosu, there's no need to be afraid over this half-dead freak!" Zaku growled and released a large sound wave, aiming at Sasuke. But, Sasuke, deflected it back with his hands, scattering the shock waves all over the place. Then Sasuke quickly reappeared behind Zaku, smacking him and knocked the shinobi back.
"Pheonix Flower Jutsu!" Sasuke blow several fireballs at the two sound ninjas. Zaku tried to use his sound waves to blow the fire out, revealing shurikens inside of them. Several hit Zaku's body as he tried to block them his with his arms. Then Sasuke quickly reappeared behind Zaku again, and grabbed both the shinobi's arms, pulling them behind his back and planting his foot on the shinobi's back as well.
"You seem to be proud of these two arms." Sasuke smirked. Zaku screamed out in pain.
Yuri's eyes widened in horror and so did Sakura as they saw Sasuke maliciously pull the sound ninja's arms, popping them out of their sockets. The sound ninja fell to the ground, howling in pain. Then Sasuke turned to Dosu and started to inch closer towards him.
"You're the only one left. I hope you let me have more fun."
Dosu stood trembling in fear as Sasuke got closer to him.
"STOP!" Sakura ran towards Sasuke, grabbing him from behind, crying. "Please stop."
The curse mark on Sasuke's neck slowly began to retreat back as it disappeared and Sasuke fell to the ground, holding it in pain.
"You are strong, Sasuke. We can't defeat you like this." Dosu spoke and pulled out an Earth scroll. He placed it on the ground and stood up. "Take this and let us leave." Then the sound ninja walked over and picked up Zaku. "This may sound convenient. But there is something we must find out now. But I will promise you this, the next time we meet, we won't run away."
"Wait!" Sakura shouted at them. "Who is this Orochimaru?! Why does he want Sasuke?!"
"I don't know. We were only ordered to kill him and take the other girl." The sound ninja spoke and they quickly retreated. Shikamaru, Ino and Choji ran out from their hiding place, heading over to Sasuke, Sakura, Naruto and Yuri.
"Hey! Are you guys, alright?" Shikamaru shouted.
"Barely." Yuri murmured. Shikamaru turned to Ino. "Ino, take care of Lee, would you?" Ino helped back onto his feet and Shikamaru and Choji and Yuri stared down at Naruto who was still, sleeping. He had a strange, dreamy smirk on his face, mumbling in his sleep.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you."
Yuri frowned. "I wonder what he's dreaming about?"
"Should we kick him awake?" Shikamaru suggested.
"Let's poke him with a stick." Choji said.
