In a dark place
"Anyone here!" A voice said, entering the dark place with his friends.
"Where the hell is a switch when we need one?"
"Oh, I felt something!"
"Sorry, it was my hand."
"And why are you touching me there!?"
"Hey, I think I found the switch."
The light in the room turned on, revealing Yoshida along with Terasaka, Muramatsu, Itona and Hazama having their Pokémon at their side or in their armrest.
"How boring they are, it's better to be in the dark to feel the real suspense." Hazama said coldly.
Terasaka narrowed her eyes, "I don't know why we are visiting this abandoned mansion." He said a little annoyed, "It would have been better to go to the gym so Itona and I could get our badges."
"Rather, I would win, and you would be humiliated." Itona said simply.
"You do not know that!". Annoyed shout.
"But you're right, this place is desolate." Yoshida said.
"And it's very scary." Muramatsu hugged his Remoraid.
"What cowards." Hazama smiled, "They don't remember that I was the one who won that little game, and I would have the option to choose where we would go." The boys, except Itona, groaned in exasperation.
When they were on the train, they were discussing the place they were going to visit, so Muramatsu came up with the idea of the short toothpick to choose who would choose the place. Unfortunately, Hazama would win by pulling the short end of the stick and choosing this spot.
"I curse you, Muramatsu." Both Yoshida and his Cacnea complained.
"Sorry, I thought this game was going to be easier."
Itona looked at Hazama, "Exactly Hazama, what do you want to search here?"
"I want to see if there is a ghost Pokémon here to help me cur-, I mean train with my Misdreavus." She and her Pokémon smiled.
"You were going to say curse." Terasaka said dryly.
While they continued arguing there was a hidden Pokémon watching the visitors, to which it smiled evilly and decided to start having fun.
"I'll go there to see what's behind." Hazama pointed to the kitchen, "You guys can see the rest of the place, just let me know if you run into a ghost Pokémon."
"Whatever, the faster it is, the better it will be." Terasaka said seriously.
Hazama started laughing, "Are you afraid?"
"Of course not, but some of us want to explore other places."
"Terasaka is right." Muramatsu said nervously.
"The faster it is, the better." Yoshida smiled sheepishly.
"Whatever. So, I'll see you at this point when I manage to find the Pokémon I want". Hazama started heading to the kitchen.
Terasaka and Itona began to climb towards the stairs, "We'll go up, we'll see you down here."
"Wait, they're going to leave us behind." Yoshida said.
"Don't be afraid. There is nothing paranormal here and the only thing we have to look for is a ghost Pokémon, but I doubt it will scare us." Terasaka said.
"If Muramatsu brings their ramen, they can protect themselves from evil." Itona said.
"ITONA!". Muramatsu shouted.
Terasaka and Itona walked away from them leaving Muramatsu and Yoshida alone.
"We better see the place." Yoshida said as he, Muramatsu, and their Pokémon trembled.
"We have no choice." Muramatsu said as they began to see the place. Without realizing it, the Pokémon began to follow him.
Terasaka and Itona were in the hallway upstairs looking at the portraits, some of them deteriorated.
Itona saw the portrait of a man in his 50s with a beard and gray hair and elegant green clothes, "I guess this was the owner of this place."
"I guess". Terasaka noticed a small note next to the portrait.
"What does it say?" Itona asked.
"Once I leave this world, this place will only live for Pokémon, so they can be at peace." Terasaka narrated the note, "Those who come here to disrupt your relaxation will be punished." I finish narrating.
"Then we are in forbidden territory." Itona said and his Inkay nodded.
"Whatever, we're here and nothing strange has happened." Terasaka and his Timburr smiled, but then the light went out, "Damit". He muttered annoyed.
When he took out his phone to turn on the flashlight, he saw a floating doll next to him that he and his Pokémon began to shake, 'N-n-n-no, I-it must be a joke.' He thought scared, "Itona, if this is another one of your jokes, I swear it's not funny."
"Amazing, I didn't know you had a psychic Pokémon." Itona was behind him amazed.
Terasaka, upon seeing this, did not hesitate to run to save himself, "RUN ITONA!" He screamed in fear as he and his Timburr fled from the place to which Itona calmly followed him.
The floating doll fell, and the cause of this paranormal phenomenon was revealed to be a Shuppet that laughed because it liked to scare visitors so it would go look for its next victims to scare them.
Muramatsu and Yoshida continued looking around the place.
"You know Muramatsu, when you see this place it's not so scary." Yoshida said smiling.
"I know, we should come more often." Muramatsu also smiled.
"You're right". They both began to laugh like fools, making their Pokémon simply sweat.
"As if I want to go back to a place like this!" Muramatsu said annoyed.
"I very much agree with you!". Yoshida said.
As they continued walking, Cacnea noticed a presence.
"Is something wrong Cacnea?" Yoshida said to his Pokémon, who shook his head, "Let's continue then."
As they continued walking, Yoshida noticed one of the flowerpots moving a little.
"Something happens?" Muramatsu asked.
"I don't know if it's my illusion, but it seemed like one of the flowerpots was moving."
"I think you're just imagining it." Muramatsu said a little nervously.
"I guess you're right". He laughed lightly. But as they continued walking Yoshida turned to look again and noticed that the flowerpot was closer to them.
"M-Muramatsu, seriously, this flowerpot moves by itself." It started to shake.
"Don't say that I don't want you to scare our Pokémon." He told him to calm him down.
"But…". At that he turned again to look at the flowerpot, to which he saw that it was no longer there, "THE FLOWERPOT DISAPPEARED!" He screamed too much making Muramatsu and his Pokémon jump in fright.
"DO NOT DO THAT!". He said annoyed, but then he heard footsteps, "Did you hear that, Yoshida?" He said quietly as they continued listening to the footsteps.
"W-we have t-to go." Yoshida said hesitantly out of fear, so Muramatsu decided to walk back to the entrance.
But when they turned around, they saw a portrait of the owner of the place standing near them.
"Why is there a portrait here and who brought it?" Muramatsu asked with very fear.
The portrait soon flashes, scaring the young's and their Pokémon very much.
"FLICKER!". They both screamed and at that Cacnea hugged his trainer.
"OUCH!" Yoshida screamed in pain and fear. Soon the portrait began to float and would proceed to chase them.
"I WANT TO GET OUT OF THIS PLACE!" Yoshida shouted, but without realizing it they both collided with someone.
"Ow!" Muramatsu grunted in pain, but when they saw who they collided with, they realized it was a friend of his, "Terasaka?" He said relieved when Itona approached with them.
"Could you move?" Terasaka growled.
"Sorry." They both stood up and helped Terasaka up, "Why were you two running?"
"Is that what we would like to know about you?" Itona asked.
"A floating portrait was chasing us, and it was alive." Muramatsu said nervously.
"Curious, Terasaka ran away like a coward when he saw a floating doll." Itona said while shaking himself.
"I didn't run away!" He said a little annoyed, "We only fled to avoid being attacked by a dangerous enigma." There was a great silence around.
"Looks like you ran away." Yoshida said dryly.
"Look who says it!" He got annoyed with them to which Muramatsu and Yoshida laughed nervously, "Anyway, we better find Hazama to get out of here. I don't care if you still want to look for a ghost Pokémon, I can't stand this place anymore."
When they started walking the light went out again.
"NOOOOO! OUCH!" Yoshida screamed in terror as his Cacnea hugged him again.
"Stay on guard, use your Pokémon to defend us." Terasaka said.
"But it will be impossible, we could get hurt."
"Then I will turn on the flashlight on my phone to make it easier to protect us." Terasaka took out his phone to illuminate the place, but then something that would make them tremble was revealed.
"Hi guys." Hazama and his Misdreavus smiled macabrely.
"AAAAHHHH!" The boys and their Pokémon screamed in fear as the light returned.
"They shouldn't call me the queen of horror for nothing." Hazama laughed.
"DO NOT DO THAT!". Yoshida shouted while breathing heavily.
"Look at Itona, nothing scares him easily, not even his Inkay." Terasaka pointed at him.
Muramatsu noticed Itona, "I think it affected him too."
"What?" He asked surprised and they looked at him seeing how he remained completely frozen with white eyes and his little soul along with Inkay's out of his mouth, "It can't be, he was scared too."
"Even someone as calm as Itona couldn't escape my presence." Hazama laughed lightly.
Soon the floating portrait appeared, scaring the boys.
"It's the ghost!" Muramatsu was very scared.
"Let's go from here!" Yoshida said.
Hazama decided to approach the portrait, "I see you like to scare people, right?" She smiled as the portrait fell and the ghost Pokémon was revealed, surprising the boys, while Itona regained his composure.
"It's a ghost Pokémon." Muramatsu was a little surprised.
Terasaka took out his Pokédex to scan it: "Shuppet Puppet Pokémon. Shuppet grows by feeding on dark emotions, such as vengefulness and envy, in the hearts of people. It roams through cities in search of grudges that taint people."
"You don't seem like the type to hold grudges, but rather you like to scare them for fun." Hazama smiled to which Shuppet laughed as he floated excitedly.
"Seeing him like this makes me feel more relaxed." Terasaka said.
"I guess so." Itona said.
Shuppet walked over to Hazama and smiled at Misdreavus, who smiled at him, "I like your style of scaring people, Shuppet." She smiled at the Pokémon, "How about you come with me? I promise you that we will make pranks to scare those people who deserve to be punished and piss themselves when they are afraid in our presence." Shuppet smiled amusedly and nodded, "Very well, then I will welcome you to my team Shuppet." She took out his Poké Ball and successfully captured it.
"I have to admit, that was cool." Yoshida was amazed.
"I agree with you." Muramatsu nodded.
"Okay, now you have your ghost Pokémon, now let's get out of here." Terasaka said seriously.
"A deal is a deal." Hazama said as the group began to leave the mansion, "Without a doubt seeing their scared faces was the best thing I have ever seen in my entire life." She said laughing to which the boys shuddered.
"I don't want you to remember!" Terasaka said annoyed.
"Thankfully we won't be coming back here." Yoshida sighed in relief.
"That's right, now the problem will be those people Hazama will punish." Muramatsu started to laugh, "I already imagine that their victims will be the idiots of the higher classes."
"Before I go to them, I'll make sure to scare my first victim." Hazama smiled and looked at Terasaka.
"It must be a joke." He complained realizing that he will be Hazama's victim.
"I hope your funeral isn't too long, Terasaka." Itona said as he looked at her Pokédex.
"SHUT UP!". He shouts furiously.
