Chapter 1

As Eren's consciousness slips into darkness, he braces for the finality of death, only to be thrust into an otherworldly realm, a place he never could have fathomed. With a jolt, he finds himself standing amidst the enigmatic paths, their shifting sands beneath his feet a testament to the surreal nature of his surroundings.

His heart pounds with a mixture of disbelief and apprehension as he grapples with the profound question of his own existence. "Am I dead or alive? What strange twist of fate has brought me here?" Eren muses, his mind a whirlwind of uncertainty and dread.

Even in this surreal moment, his thoughts are consumed by the plight of Eldia and the people he holds dear. The Alliance's intervention has halted the cataclysmic Rumbling, but the future remains veiled in uncertainty. What fate awaits Historia and their unborn child in a world torn apart by centuries of strife and prejudice?

Lost in contemplation, Eren is startled by the sudden appearance of a figure before him. It's Ymir, but not the broken and oppressed girl he once knew. She stands before him now as a queen, radiating an aura of ancient wisdom and authority, her presence commanding the attention of the very fabric of reality.

"Ymir," Eren breathes, his voice tinged with a mixture of awe and confusion. "What... what is the meaning of this?" His words hang heavy in the air, echoing through the ethereal expanse of the 's words hang in the air, laden with the weight of centuries of history rewritten. "Thank you... because of you and Mikasa, I am now free, the history has been rewritten," she declares, her voice echoing with a resonance that transcends time itself. "My husband has died from Marley's spear, and I get to grow old until I passed my powers to my daughters."

Eren's mind reels at the enormity of Ymir's revelation. The very fabric of reality has been reshaped by his actions, yet the consequences remain shrouded in uncertainty. "That's great, but what does that mean?" he implores, his voice tinged with a sense of urgency and confusion.

In response, Ymir offers Eren a glimpse into the altered tapestry of history. Shock courses through him as he witnesses Eldia's continued plight, the nation still besieged by the machinations of jealous adversaries hungry for the power of Titans. This time, however, the animosity isn't fueled solely by Eldia's purported thirst for conquest, but rather by a covetous desire to possess the formidable abilities of Titans for themselves.

Anger simmers beneath Eren's stoic facade as he watches the tragic repetition of betrayal and deceit unfold before him. His fists clench in frustration as he witnesses the Tybur Family's treachery, their betrayal of Karl Fritz mirroring the sins of generations past. The echoes of history reverberate through time, converging once more upon the familiar path of propaganda, oppression, and the creation of mindless Titans as instruments of punishment.

"Are you kidding ME?" Eren's voice rises with an intensity fueled by righteous indignation. "Eldia is not that bloodthirsty... why must we suffer the same fate again?" His words are a thunderous declaration of defiance against the cyclical tyranny of fate.

Ymir's words resonate within Eren's soul, a glimmer of hope amidst the chaos of despair. "I am sharing the same frustration with you. That's why I decided to revive you and send you back in time to fix the mess created by this cruel world," she confides, her voice carrying the weight of countless centuries of anguish and longing.

"Send me back in time?" Eren's disbelief is palpable, his mind struggling to comprehend the magnitude of Ymir's offer. "You mean... I get to live the same life again?"

Ymir's nod is solemn, her gaze unwavering as she meets Eren's eyes. In that moment, the vast expanse of time stretches out before him, brimming with infinite possibilities and the promise of redemption. Eren's heart pounds with newfound determination as he contemplates the opportunity laid before him.

The realization dawns upon him like a beacon of light amidst the darkness. He has the chance to rewrite the tragic tapestry of his past, to mend the shattered pieces of his destiny and forge a new path towards salvation. With each beat of his heart, Eren feels the weight of responsibility settle upon his shoulders, a burden he willingly bears in service of a greater purpose.

"So how far back in the past will you transport me?" Eren's voice trembles with anticipation, his mind racing with the myriad of choices laid before him.

"It depends on you," Ymir replies, her voice a whisper carried on the wind. "Where do you want to begin?"

Eren closes his eyes, his thoughts a whirlwind of emotion and possibility. In that fleeting moment of clarity, he knows exactly where his journey must begin. "Then transport me to the night when Bertolt arrives," he declares, his voice steady with resolve. Even though he wants to save his mother, but he knows that his mother won't agree with him joining the scouts and eventually becoming the king.

As Eren hesitates, a surge of uncertainty courses through him, prompting him to seek clarification from Ymir before committing to his decision. "Wait, Ymir," he interjects, his voice tinged with urgency. "I want to know, is it only going to be me traveling back to the past? Or can I actually have someone travel back with me?"

Ymir regards him with a knowing gaze, understanding the weight of his inquiry. "Since my powers are fading, I can only transport one person with you," she explains. "Who do you want to travel to the past with?"

Eren's mind races as he weighs his options carefully, knowing that the choice he makes will shape the course of history itself. Armin, his childhood friend and confidant, possesses a brilliant intellect and unwavering determination, yet Eren knows that Armin's idealism may cloud his judgment in the face of the harsh realities they must confront.

Mikasa, the steadfast protector who has stood by his side through countless trials, holds a special place in Eren's heart. However, the pain of her betrayal still lingers, a reminder of the sacrifices they've made and the fractures that have formed within their once unbreakable bond.

In the end, Eren's gaze settles on Historia, his queen and the love of his life. Despite the weight of their shared responsibilities and the tumultuous path they've walked together, Eren finds solace in the strength and resilience she embodies. With her by his side, he knows they can face whatever challenges lie ahead and forge a brighter future for themselves and their people.

"I'll pick my queen, Historia Reiss, to accompany me," Eren declares, his voice filled with unwavering certainty.

Ymir nods in acceptance, her ancient eyes reflecting the depth of Eren's commitment. With a solemn gesture, she summons Historia into the ethereal expanse of the paths, the queen's form materializing before them in a haze of uncertainty.

Confusion clouds Historia's features as she finds herself thrust into this strange realm once more, but her bewilderment melts away in an instant as her eyes meet Eren's. A gasp escapes her lips as recognition floods her senses, and without hesitation, she rushes forward to envelop him in a fervent embrace.

"Eren!" she exclaims, her voice trembling with emotion as she clings to him, her heart overflowing with relief and joy at their unexpected reunion amidst the labyrinthine corridors of time.

Eren holds Historia close, cherishing the warmth of her embrace as he struggles to find the words to explain the unfathomable events that have brought them together once more. "Tori... I missed you so much," he murmurs, his voice heavy with emotion.

Historia's gaze searches his, a mixture of concern and confusion flickering in her eyes. "Eren... what happened? Did the Rumbling fail? Why are we here again?" she asks, her voice tinged with apprehension.

"Slow down, Historia," Eren replies gently as they break the hug, his hand finding hers in a reassuring gesture. "I can't answer all the questions at once. First of all, Historia, what is the last thing you remember?"

A wistful smile graces Historia's lips as she recalls the tumultuous events that led them to this moment. "Are you seriously asking me that?" she quips, a hint of amusement coloring her tone. "The last thing I know is the pain of laboring for our child. So did your plan really work?"

Eren's expression softens as he nods, a bittersweet realization settling upon him. "Yeah... I thought I was going to be dead, but it seems that I was brought back here and we've been given a second chance," he explains, his voice tinged with a mixture of relief and uncertainty.

"Second chance?" Historia's brow furrows in confusion. "What do you mean?"

Eren's gaze darkens as he recounts the altered course of history and the persistent cycle of conflict that continues to plague their world. "The history has changed, because of Mikasa killing me, the past of Ymir died after 13 years have been broken," he begins, his voice heavy with solemnity. "However, even though that part of the past and Eldia's rule have changed, the other nations are still acting the same... eventually leading to the same result," he concludes, a furrow forming between his brows as he grapples with the weight of their predicament.

Historia's anger simmers beneath the surface, her frustration palpable as she confronts the harsh reality of their situation. "Are you serious? You're saying that the Great Titan War still happened? And the Eldians outside Paradis Island are still suffering?" she demands, her voice laced with indignation.

Eren meets her gaze with a steely resolve, his jaw set in determination. "That's why we are going to fix everything all by ourselves," he asserts, his tone unwavering. "We're going back to the day when Wall Maria falls, and we're going to secure a bright future for ourselves and all Eldians."

A flicker of understanding passes through Historia's eyes as she absorbs Eren's words, a sense of purpose igniting within her. "I see... so we're going to the past together," she murmurs, a smile gracing her lips as she accepts the weight of their shared destiny.

Ymir's presence lingers in the air, a reminder of the power that binds them to this otherworldly realm. "I don't like to be ignored," she interjects, her voice carrying a hint of reproach. "But I can also do something for you. Once you devour your father for the powers, the powers will also transfer into your wife's body. Meaning that both of you will be half Attack Titan and half Founding Titan."

Historia's expression darkens at the implication of Ymir's words. "Does that mean... Freida will have to die again?" she questions, her voice tinged with sorrow.

Eren's brow furrows in contemplation as he grapples with the weight of their choices. "I guess the vow of renouncing war is still there, isn't it? So if Historia got the Titan power, won't it also bind her to the vow?" he muses aloud.

Ymir's response is swift and decisive. "This time you won't," she declares, her voice cutting through the uncertainty. "The moment Grisha took the power of the Founding, the vow will also break along with the 13-year curse on both of you."

A sense of relief washes over Eren and Historia as they absorb Ymir's revelation, a glimmer of hope shining amidst the darkness of their circumstances. "Tori, I'll find you again and let's do this together," Eren declares, his voice brimming with determination.

Historia's eyes meet his, her gaze unwavering as she nods in agreement. "Yeah," she murmurs, her voice filled with resolve.

A blinding light envelops them both, and when Eren finally opens his eyes, he finds himself surrounded by the familiar sights and sounds of the refuge camp. Mikasa stands beside him, her concern evident as she addresses him. "Eren, are you okay? You were crying in your sleep."

Eren's mind races as he processes the disorienting sensation of returning to the present moment. He knows this part—all too well. It's the aftermath of the pivotal moment when he devoured his father and inherited the power of the Founding Titan. "Dad... I felt like I saw him..." he murmurs, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

But Mikasa's response is swift and unwavering. "No, you were dreaming," she reassures him, her hand reaching out to offer comfort.

Eren's gaze lingers on the bronze key nestled beneath his shirt, a tangible reminder of the journey that lies ahead. With a sense of purpose burning within him, he tucks the key away, his resolve strengthened by the knowledge that he has been granted a second chance to rewrite the course of history and shape the destiny of their world.
