Chapter 15: The Kidnapping

3 male criminals, Bo, Derry and Marley, were in the Jungle Cavern making plans. Bo had a black bowl cut hairstyle. Derry had red curly hair. Marley had a shaved head style. "Alright, you rats, listen up. This is how we're gonna capture Will Shane's little girl. We're gonna disguise ourselves as photographers and say we're there to take a picture." Bo explained. "And then we grab the baby and make our escape, right, Bo?" Derry asked. "You guessed right for once." Bo said. "So, what're we waiting for, fellas? Shall we get to work?" Marley asked. "We shall." Bo said, smiling sinisterly.

Later, at the hideout, the Shane Gang were doing their chores while Eliza was taking care of Xana. "Is there anything better than cleaning up after a hard week's work?" Kord asked. "Give me a minute. I'll let you know." Pronto said. Just then, there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it." Eli said. He walked over to the door, opened it and saw that it was Bo, Derry and Marley disguised as camera men. "Hi, we're with the photography company. We're here to take a group picture of this great big family you got." Bo lied. "But we didn't call for any photographers." Eli said. "Oh, what does it matter? Step aside and let us do our job." Derry said as he shoved past Eli. "Nice place." Marley said. "Hey, now wait just a minute here. What makes you 3 think you can just walk into my home like that?" Will demanded. Just then, Bo smirked slyly and threw down a smoke bomb, blinding everyone. "Hey!" Will exclaimed. "What's going on?!" Aerona exclaimed. "I can't see anything!" Kord exclaimed. Bo, Derry and Marley's chuckles were heard until they faded away.

The gang slung their air slugs and blew away the smoke. "Okay, who were those guys?" Harley asked. Just then, Eliza screamed. Everyone turned around to see her without Xana in her arms. "They took Xana! They took my baby!" She cried. Everyone was horrified. "To your mechas! Now!" Eli exclaimed. Everyone hurried to their mechas and rode out of the hideout to catch up with Xana's kidnappers.

Meanwhile, Bo, Derry and Marley were already far ahead on their mechas with Xana in a cage, cheering at how well they did on their mission. "Haha! We did it! We're rich!" Bo cheered. "We're filthy with gold!" Derry cheered. "You're filthy without it." Bo said. "Still a job well done. Glad I thought of it." Marley said. "Oh, you thought of it?" Bo asked sarcastically. "Yeah, why?" Marley asked. Bo just chuckled before slapping Marley across the face. "What's the matter with you?!" He asked angrily. Just then, as Xana whimpered in her cage, the pendant that the Shadow Clan gave her started to glow and she suddenly teleported away. As Derry checked on the cage, he stuttered at what he saw. "Shut up. This is no time to be singing." Bo said. "Bo, we put the baby in that cage, didn't we?" Derry asked. "Yeah." Bo said. "The cage was full when we left, right?" Derry asked. "Yeah." Bo said. "It ain't full now." Derry said with worry. Bo and Marley looked at the cage and gasped when they saw it was empty. "Why didn't you tell me she got out?!" Bo exclaimed, slapping Derry in the face. "Hey, Bo!" Marley called. "What do you want?" Bo asked. "There she is." Marley said, pointing to an alleyway up ahead. Xana was sitting in it. "Grab her!" Bo ordered. But as they ran towards her and prepared to grab her, the pendant glowed and she disappeared again, causing them to crash into the trash. As they recovered, Bo slapped Derry before hitting Marley on the head.

Xana reappeared inside a building and decided to walk around. She watched as several workers made gears for blasters. None of the workers noticed her as she just continued walking. Just then, Bo, Derry and Marley entered the building. "Alright, rodents, start looking. She's in here somewhere." Bo said. "Oh, look." Marley said, pointing up to the catwalks. Xana was walking across them. "Surround her!" Bo ordered. They rushed up to the catwalks and surrounded Xana. "Got you now, kid." Derry said. Marley chuckled as they prepared to grab her. But then, as they lunged for her, the pendant glowed and Xana disappeared again, causing Derry and Marley bump their heads against each other. "Ow! Why didn't you grab her, you imbecile?" Derry asked. "Me? You were the closest one to grabbing her!" Marley exclaimed. Bo shook his head as he glared at his 2 lackeys.

Later, Xana reappeared in a dark part of the caverns. She knew that those 3 stooges would still be coming after her. Not wanting to be waiting another second for them to arrive, she decided to walked further into the dark cavern and hide herself.

Meanwhile, the Shane Gang were out looking for Xana. "Xana! Where are you?!" Eliza called. Her cheeks were soaked with tears. "If we ever catch those guys, I will show them NO MERCY!" Harley said, threatening to go Darkbane. "Take it easy, Harley. We can worry about those stooges later. Right now, we have to find Xana." Eli said. Harley calmed himself as he nodded. The gang picked up the pace as they continued the search.

Meanwhile, Xana explored the dark cavern, finding the plant life beautiful. Suddenly, she heard a twig snap. She turned around and saw that Bo, Derry and Marley had just arrived. "It's her!" Bo exclaimed, spotting Xana. "The baby!" Marley exclaimed. "Get her!" Derry exclaimed. Xana tried to run, but the 3 crooks were too fast. They blocked her escape and surrounded her. "Hello, darling." Derry greeted sinisterly. "No escaping us this time." Bo said. Marley chuckled sinisterly as they prepared to grab her. Suddenly, there was a loud shriek in the air. "Hey, Bo." Marley said with worry. "Shut up. We still got work to do." Bo said. "But, Bo, I heard something." Marley said. "I heard it too." Derry said. "Oh, you guys are hearing things. Now grab the baby before I tear your tonsils out." Bo ordered. Just then, there was another loud shriek. "Okay, I heard it this time." Bo said, growing worried. "What was that?" Derry asked, getting scared. Suddenly, the Shadow Clan started appearing out of the shadows, surrounding the stooges and Xana, who giggled happily. "B-B-B-B-B-Bo?" Marley stuttered fearfully, noticing something behind them. Bo and Derry turned around and saw the Shadow Clan Chief standing over them. The 3 of them screamed like little girls as the Shadow Clan Chief shrieked at them as everything went black.

Meanwhile, the Shane Gang continued searching for Xana and her kidnappers. They were slowly starting to lose confidence. Eliza was close to breaking down into more tears. Suddenly, the Shadow Clan appeared before the gang, surprising them. The Chief was holding Xana in his arms. Eliza gasped in relief as she got off her mecha and rushed over to the Chief, who relinquished Xana into her arms. "Thank you. Thank you." She sobbed as she hugged her daughter. "But how did you find her?" Eli asked as he put on his Shadow Talker. "The pendant we gave her triggered its ability to teleport through the shadows and alerted us to her being in danger. And you need not worry about the crooks who kidnapped her. We sent them very far away so they'd never come after again." The Chief explained.

Meanwhile, Bo, Derry and Marley sat on a lone deserted island in the middle of Undertow Cavern. "This is your fault." Bo said, pointing in Marley's face. "Oh, is it? It was your plan." Marley said. "Oh, now it was my plan?" Bo asked sarcastically. "Shut up, you guys. You're messing up my tan." Derry said. "You stay out of this." Bo said, slapping Derry in the face. Marley turned Bo around and punched him in the nose. As Derry recovered, they all started slap-fighting.
