Chapter 17: First Teeth
Another day in the Shane Hideout. Xana giggled as she played with the slugs and the pets in the living room. But then, while playing, she started to feel pain in her mouth and started whining. Seeing her whining, Burpy looked around until he spotted a plastic toy. He picked it up and gave it to Xana. The baby Shane started chewing on the plastic toy really hard.
Just then, Eli came in and saw his baby sister chewing on her toy. He walked over to her and knelt down to her level. "Hey, sis. You hungry there?" He asked. But Xana shook her head no, meaning she wasn't hungry. She opened her mouth to reveal her toothless gums. Eli was a bit confused, until he spotted something small and white. A small bit of teeth was starting to appear! He realized why Xana was chewing on her plastic toy. Because of the pain she was experiencing. She was experiencing her first teething!
"Xana, baby sis, you're experiencing your first teething! That's why you're feeling this pain! You're getting your first teeth!" Eli exclaimed happily. Xana squealed happily that she was getting her first teeth and couldn't wait to grow them, showing her cute smile.
