Sakura was nearly five when she first went to the library. She was walking with her mum around the village. They were on their way to the market to buy some groceries and were about to go round a corner when the voice in Sakura's head spoke up.

'Hey why don't we go into the library? We've already read all the books at home like ten times. The library is full of books and information! We'll learn so much! Cha!'

'I really need to get this voice checked out.' Sakura thought.

'Cha! Just ask if we can go to the library!'

Sakura sighed, "Mama, can I go to the library?" she couldn't believe she was listening to the voice.

Mebuki turned to her daughter, a questioning look on her face "Why do you need to go to the library? We have plenty of books at home."

"I know mama but I've already read all of those," The petal haired girl said.

Mebuki sighed, "Alright Saku-chan, I'll drop you of there, the librarian should be there and can watch over you. Then I can pick you up later. How long do you need?"

"Erm…." Sakura hesitated, how long would it take to read every book in the library?

'A million years? Just ask for a few hours we're responsible enough to be left alone and not wander of. Cha!'

"Can I have a few hours?" she asked. Her mother looked hesitant and thought it over for a few moments before sighing.

"Alright blossom, let's go," her mother agreed as they started walking towards the library.

When they got to the library Mebuki gave Sakura a hug before watching her daughter enter the building.

Sakura was greeted by the sight of what seemed like an endless supply of books and scrolls placed on bookshelves that were arranged in rows. Sakura's eyes seemed to sparkle as they absorbed the heavenly sight before her. She was so enthralled by the amount of information and potential knowledge displayed in front of her that she hadn't noticed the presence behind her.

"Hello there, are you lost little one?" a voice from behind her spoke. Sakura jumped in surprise and quickly turned around, slightly embarrassed for not noticing the person approach her.

'Cha! How dare this lady sneak up on us!' The voice spoke up. Sakura ignored the voice and instead turned her attention to the lady in front of her. The woman had sky blue hair that went down to her waist and forest green eyes. Her porcelain skin had a shine to it that only highlighted her beauty. She also had a daisy tucked behind her ear. She smiled kindly down at the petal haired girl and Sakura couldn't help but notice how stunning her smile was.

"Are you alright sweetie?" The pretty lady asked.

"Uh, yes ma'am. Are you by any chance the librarian?"

"Yes, are you lost do you need help finding your parents?"

"Erm, actually ma'am I came here to read, my mama dropped me of."

"Really? But aren't you too young to be left alone?" Her green eyes looked into Sakura's emerald ones with concern.

'Too young? Too young! How dare she!' The voice shouted in outrage, 'We are four! Four! Nearly five!'

Sakura tried her best to ignore the voice and simply said, "I may not be as old as you but I still have the right to read."

The lady looked at her in what could only be described as total and utter shock, though Sakura had no idea why.

The lady seemed to come out of her shock for she began to speak, "E-er ok then, would you like me to show you to the childrens section?"

Sakura shook her head. "No thank you, I believe I should be sufficient enough to find something to read." The lady once again seemed to go into a state of shock. Sakura just turned around and walked of mind set on reading as many books as could until her mother came to pick her up.

She found a series of books that looked interesting. The series was called 'Forever in War' it was about a shinobi who had lost everyone dear to them but still fought for justice. The first book of the series was named 'Forever alone in War' It made Sakura feel oddly inspired. The first book was only three hundred and sixty seven pages but she still loved the description and vocabulary the author used.

'Cha! So much action! I love it! Cha!'

The second book in the series was called 'Forever in love over War' this book was mainly about the main character falling in love with an enemy kunoichi who had been sent to spy. He found out and the whole story flowed with dramatic twists and turns. Sadly the kunoichi ended up dying at the end of the book.

'Cha! That was so sad,' the voice in her head wheeped.

The third book was named 'Forever home in war' it's basically about him returning home and saving his village from a deadly flood. In the end his kage died and they chose a new kage to take the old ones' place. This was Sakuras' least favourite book in the series because she didn't like the new kage as much as the old one, pls she found the fact that the main character saved the whole village and didn't get the honor of being even considered as a kage candidate bonkers.

'What a shame, the old kage was such a great leader, he was wise, kind hearted yet stern, helpful, selfless, powerful and most of all he loved his village. He didn't deserve to die!' Sakura huffed.

'Just because he was a good person doesn't mean he's invincible, cha.'

'But that's unfair!' Sakura didn't care that it was 'only a book', she didn't care that . The old man didn't deserve to die!

'Such is the life of a shinobi.'

Sakura stood up from her seat and closed the book. She hadn't managed to find the fourth, and final book of the series but her mum would be coming to pick her up at any minute so she decided to get ready to leave. Sakura put the books away back where she found them and went to wait near the door.

The librarian looked up from whatever she was doing when she noticed Sakura.

"Oh, hello sweetie! I didn't know that you were still here. Are your parents coming to pick you up?"

"Yes, I believe my mother should be here any minute now."

'I really wish she would stop calling us sweetie.'

'Honestly, me too..' Sakura agreed.

"Alright darling, why don't you wait here for your mum, we can't have you walking off on your own can we?" the lady asked with a sweet smile. Sakuras' nose wrinkled up in disgust.

'Ew! Cha. I hate darling even more! I mean come on! She isn't our mum!'

"Ok ma'am." Sakura replied, ignoring the loud screaming going on in her head. The lady smiled at her before continuing with whatever she had been doing before she had noticed Sakura.

After a few moments Mebuki entered the library and went over to hug he daughter.

"Saku-chan! I'm sorry I took so long!"

"It's ok mama," Sakura said as her mother stopped hugging her.

'Yeah! We got to read so many books! Cha!' The voice cheered.

'Why are you always shouting?'

The voice didn't grace her with an answer. Sakura snapped out of her daze when she noticed her mother chatting with the librarian. Curious, she walked over to them.

"Mama?" she said as she tugged on the material of her mums' clothing.

"Oh! Hey honey. Sorry, you're probably really hungry we should get you home." Her mother said.

"Oh! Mebuki-san, I didn't realise you had a daughter!"

'Oh for goodness sake! Are we going home or not? Cha!' The voice huffed.

"Mama, can we please go now? I'm really hungry!" She tried not to sound like whiney toddler but she really was starving.

"Of course! Gomen Manami-san but I should probably get this one home."

"Oh right, goodbye then!" Manami said as they left the library and started walking home.
