A Little Hazbin 2: Freezing Over Ch. 10

Emily and Cherri Bomb walk into the embassy as a paper and quill flies up to them, surprising the Sinner. The Seraphim just signs her name and Cherri hesitantly does the same.

The two then walked into the meeting room where Sera is calmly sitting at the end of the table.

"Emily," the High Saraphim smiles for a moment, but it drops at the sight of the Sinner. "I was under the impression that it would just be you."

Cherri glares. "I'm just here to support Emily."

"Like a demon could support an angel."

The Sinner growls. "Want to repeat that, you b…" a hand is softly placed on her shoulder Cherri turns to Emily who shakes her head. Cherri gives one last glare at the High Seraphim before walking to the end of the room to lean against the wall with arms crossed.

"Sera, I—"

"Of course," Sera speaks up.

"Huh?"

"I was wondering when you would ask to return home," the older Angel smiles sweetly. "I was surprised it took this long to see how horrible Hell truly is. I'll open a portal immediate—"

"Woah, woah, woah!" Cherri shouts. "Some big sister you are."

"Excuse me?"

"You're not even going to listen to her? Just assuming why she's here?"

Sera glares at the Sinner. "Emily," her gaze turns to her younger sister. "I'm done with your games! You're coming home now!"

"But, Sera. I can't just leave my friends here!"

"The wretched here are no friends of Heaven!" Sera glares at Cherrie who returns it. "And they never will be!"

"That's not fair, Sera!" Emily snaps at her sister. "You don't even know these people! Yeah, there's a lot of bad demons here! I've had a run in with some. But that doesn't stop any of the good from being good. If it wasn't for my friends, who knows what would have happened to me. Cherri…" she gestures to the one-eyed Sinner. "Has been like a sister to me!" That surprised Cherri. "More than what you've been to me for a very long time." Sera goes to say something, but Emily stops her. "Look! This isn't about me and it's sure as Hell not about you! There's this guy killing people here. You might know him. The Primordial."

The name alone causes Sera to jump out of the seat. "Th-that's not possible!"

"He's the one that gave me this," the young Seraphim points at the bandage around her head. "Thought for sure you would have asked about it."

"I-I merely assumed that, that—"

"One of my friends had been rough on me?" Emily guesses and can see the hesitation in her eyes.

Sera looks down and sighs. "If what you say is true then we have to do something about the Primordial," the High Seraphim sits back down. "We taught him everything we know and what we didn't he most likely learned by now."

The younger Seraphim shrugs. "He can't be all knowing. He called me a Miracle Born."

That comment made Sera go stiff, but she quickly regained her composure before anyone noticed. "I'm opening a portal now. I want you home where it's safe and—"

"I've seen the Primordial up-close, Sera. Nowhere is safe. Not even Heaven," Emily turns away from her older sister. "I may not be able to do much, but I'm staying here to help my friends in any way I can. I came to ask for help. Whether or not you give it is up to you."

With that, Emily left the building with Cherri following behind. The Seraphim then sits down on the front steps and releases a heavy sigh.

"Hey, Em," Cherri sits next to her. "Way to stick it to the man," she nudges her. "So, I'm like a sister, huh?"

"Well, yeah," Emily had a hard time looking the Sinner in the eye. "Whenever I had a problem, you helped me through it. Sera? She would just send me a way and take care of it for me," she finally managed to look Cherri in the eye. "When I decided to come here, you came along to support me. Sera would have just done it all by herself."

Cherri smiles. "Love you to, Em," and hugs the Angel. They then soon noticed that their breath was visible. "Oh, that's not goo-woah!?" the Explosive Expert trails off as she suddenly finds herself being lifted off the ground."

Emily flies up, carrying Cherri with her. In the distance they can see buildings that appear to be turning white.

Velvette looks out the window and into the distance. Even though the Vee can't see it, she can feel Mr. E getting closer and more powerful.

The door opens behind her and from the reflection the Influencer sees the last Carmine entering wearing a satchel over her shoulder. Figuring that she was here to finish the job, Velvette turns to her soon-to-be assailant and closes her eyes. But instead of getting a stabbing, or a piercing feeling, something lightly hit her head and then fell to the floor. Looking down, the Vee sees a particular pair of shoes that she has only ever seen three people wear.

"These are my sister's spares," Clara tells her while glaring. "They should fit." She then stood there for a while, waiting for the Vee. "Well? Aren't you going to put them on?" her gaze then hardens. "Or are you too good to wear something from someone you murdered?"

Velvette sneers but she manages to use her feet to kick her heels off and slipped on the shoes. But she started having problems with the ribbons. Clara watched the Influencer struggle and as much as she hates the Overlord even she can't help but feel sorry for her.

"Here!" the Carmine sits in front of the Vee and ties the ribbon for her. "I don't know why you spared my sister," Clara pats the satchel. "But I owe you for that," her gaze then turns cold. "Don't get me wrong though. Once we kill this Primordial, you're next."

Velvette closes her eyes.

I figured.

The Influencer then opens her eyes and nods. Telling her that she understands.

.oOo.

The rest of the Hotel Residents are in the Lounge, prepping for the big battle. Angel started joking about how it's now the War Room since they've been doing that a lot here.

The doors then burst open and Lucifer shouts. "Boom, Baby!" as he enters with three of the Deadly Sins. Bee then shoves past Lucifer and runs up to Charlie.

"It's so great to see you," Gluttony hugs the Princess.

"Hey, Aunt Bee," Charlie does her best to smile despite having air cut off from her lungs.

"Look at you!" Bee then holds Charlie away from her. "You're… so tiny. You really should eat more," the Sin then summons a giant stick of cotton candy.

"Thanks, but I just ate," the Hotel Owner politely declines.

Bee just shrugs. "Suit yourself," and then she eats the sweet in one gulp.

"Wait! Hold on!" Asmodeus steps up. "This is Charlie? I can't believe it! Your so big!" he pats her on the head. "You must take after your mother." That comment causes Lucifer to slump a little.

"I get that a lot, Uncle Ozzy," Charlie hugs the King of Lust. "I missed you!"

Asmodeus then sniffs the air. "What's this?" he then spots Vaggie standing with a small child. "Oh, sweet little Charlie has a lover. You grew up so fast."

"Yeah," the Princess of Hell smiles as she eyes her girlfriend who returns the smile. She then spots Greed. "Hi, Mammon."

"Mammon?" he puts a set of hands on his hips. "Just Mammon? Not Uncle Mammon? I'm as much of family as those two," the other set arms waves at two of his fellow Sins. "What about all those nice gifts I gave you?"

Charlie deadpans. "You… charged me for most of them."

Mammon's eyes widened as everyone else glared at him with exception for little Celest. "Fine!" Greed digs into his pockets and takes out a large stack of cash. "Here! That should cover all of it." Charlie stares at the large stack before a hand reaches out and takes a good junk. Greed counts it before notice everyone staring. "What!? That was way too cash much!"

The Princess shakes her head with a smile. "Thanks, Uncle Mammon," her eyes then wonder over to Vaggie and Celest. "Hey, I want to introduce you to someone," and then waves for them to come over. "Vaggie, Celest. These are my Aunt and Uncles. Beelzebub, Asmodeus, and Mammon."

"Hi/Hello!" Vaggie and Celest say in unison.

"Everyone," Charlie goes to stand next to the Fallen Angel. "This is my girlfriend, Vaggie," she then places hand on the Child's shoulder. "And our daughter, Celest."

The three Sins blinked before Bee scoops up the Little Hazbin. "Oh, look at her! She's so adorable… and thin. Have they not been feeding you?" Gluttony then summons another stick of cotton candy. "Here! Have your fill," and hands it over to the girl.

"Wow!" Celest reaches for the sweet.

"No!" Vaggie snatches it away. "You'll ruin her appetite!"

"Vaggie…" Charlie pleads. "This is her first interaction with them. Besides! What's the use of having an aunt and uncles if they can't spoil her?"

"Ugh!" the former Exorcist gives Celest the sweet back who eagerly bites into it. "You're the one who's going to be the one handling the sugar rush. Not me."

"Deal!"

"Oh, man," Asmodeus gets up to the child. "She's so cute. I could just eat her up."

Bee then jokingly says. "That's my line!"

The King of Lust then sniffs the air. "You are surrounded by so much love, Celest. I can tell that once you grow up, you'll have that special someone."

"Really?"

"Of course! I'd never lie to someone as precious as you."

Mammon then pushes Lust out of the way. "Hey, Kid!" he then hands her a toy of an apple man. "Here's a little something for you. It's—"

"Looloo!" Celest takes the toy in her arms.

"Oh, so you're a fan?" Greed beams. Starting to see some dollar signs.

"I love Looloo. Looloo Land was the first amusement park I've been to," she looks down at the doll. "But haven't been there since."

Mammon's grin only grows as out of the corner of his eye, he can see Lucifer annoyed by this. "How about an extra treat for the little miss?" he hands her a handful of slips. "Season passes all around. Bring your family. You mothers, your grandparents. Or bring your friends and their parents," then under his breath he adds. "And their wallets."

The doors burst open once again letting Clara and Velvette in. "Hey, guys!" the Carmine shouts. "There's…" she stops as she notices three new faces among everyone. "Holy Sh(bleep)! The Deadly Sins?"

Even Velvette is wide eyed at being in their presence.

Charlie then asks. "What's wrong?"

"Huh?" Clara turns to the Princess. "Oh, right! There's a lot of Angels heading towards the Hotel."

Everyone shouts. "What!?"

.oOo.

Heading outside the Hotel, everyone finds the entire Exorcist Army descending upon them. The Angel's have their weapons out and ready as all the demon's do the same.

One of the Exorcists steps up with a sword and a golden metallic arm. "I've been waiting to try this out," she raises the metal arm and snaps her wrist, causing a blade to come out of the back of the hand. But she is stopped by an authoritative voice.

"Commander!" Sera lands in front of the Commander with a few other Seraphim behind her. "I made it clear that this is not an Extermination. There's a threat greater than anything that Hell can produce."

The Exorcist removes her helmet to reveal Lute. "But, your Grace. We can end this here and now."

"Commander Lute!" the High Seraphim snaps. "This is not about your personal vendetta! If you refuse to see beyond that then perhaps I should reconsider your placement among your sisters," Sera's eyes narrowed. "Have I made myself clear?"

Lute grits her teeth. "Yes, Ma'am."

Sera nods before walking up to the King of Hell. "I've heard about your situation, Lucifer."

"Really?" Lucifer shrugs. "I'm surprised that you were so willing to come down here."

"The threat of the Primordial End involves all of Creation. Not just Hell. We came to assist."

The King of Pride holds his chin in thought. "It's true that we could use all the help we can get," he then shrugs. "I'm just not sure that I could trust it coming from a hypocrite."

That comment causes everyone to gasp. Demon and Angel alike.

Sera glares. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"Oh, I think I do," the King of Hell walks up to the High Seraphim so that only she can hear him. "I know what you did twenty years ago," he then shrugs. "Give or take," and steps back.

The High Seraphim glares but then something occurs to her. "Where's Emily?" and she looks around. So does the Hotel's Residents.

"Sera!" the Young Seraphim's voice reaches their ears.

Looking up, Sera sees her sister flying towards them carrying a demon.

"Emily!?" the High Seraphim was quick to rush towards her sister and assisted her on landing.

"He… he's," Emily was out of breath as that's the fastest and furthest she's ever flown.

Sera goes to comfort Emily only to find the Sinner from the earlier meeting beating her to it.

Cherri looks around her and briefly takes note of the Angels. "That F(bleep)er's almost here."

Sera was about to take command only to have Lucifer's voice break through first.

"Emily!" he turns to the Seraphim of Joy. "Take Celest inside and protect her. The Primordial will do anything to get to her."

"Yes, your majesty," she bows before running up to Charlie, Vaggie, and Celest.

The King of Hell looks up at the High Seraphim. "This would also help keep Emily safe."

Sera bows. "Thank you, Morningstar."

Charlie and Vaggie kiss the Little Hazbin before handing her over.

"Emily," the Princess pleads. "Keep her safe."

"Charlie. You and the others have been so kind to me. I promise to do everything within my power to protect your daughter," with that, Emily takes Celest into the Hotel.

Sera's eyes widen. "Daughter!?" and turns to Lucifer who merely shrugs.

"Did I forget to mention that?" he then steps past the High Seraphim and shouts along with his wife who wields an Angelic Sword. "This isn't about Heaven! Not about Hell! And not about our differences! This is about stopping the End of everything we know and care about!"

In the distance snow and ice can be seen approaching them.
