Turning around the pinkette's green orbs met with familiar brown.

"Shinobi-san?" Sakura tilted her head as she looked at the man before her questioningly.

'You would think he would want to get as far away from this place as he can. Cha!'

'Hm..' Sakura watched as the man in front of her scratched the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Err, hey there kiddo.." He said awkwardly.

"Mm, do you need something Shinobi-san?" She asked politely.

"Oh, right.. erm.." He tailed of awkwardly as Sakura frowned. "I was just wondering if erm- your parents know you are here?"

Sakura's features visibly darkened at his words. Her head was bowed and a shadow hid her eyes from the man's view.

"What?" The man took a step back, surprised at the sudden change of her tone.

"Well, since you come here so often I was just curious about what your parents think you're up to, I mean they can't just allow you to spend all your time here... right?" The four year old's lips tightened into a thin line as the two entities inside her body fought for control.

Outer Sakura struggled desperately as she tried to grasp control of the body from Inner. Unfortunately her other half managed to push her to the back of their mind before replying to the brunette.

"Well, I'm curious as to why you're so interested in other people's lives! Cha!" She exclaimed angrily before storming off, out of the library.

Genma watched helplessly as the four year old exited the building. He wasn't sure why he had gone up to her he just.. had. Maybe it was because he had been slightly concerned about the absence of the petal haired girl. He really wasn't sure..

'I wonder what caused her to lash out like that..' He didn't think he said anything that offended her. She was one confusing little girl.. but then again the whole of the female population was confusing.

Inner was mad. She had tried to boost Outer's confidence when Outer Sakura had decided to finally go outside again but ever since they had taken the first step out their house everybody had been constantly reminding them about how their parents were dead.

She knew Outer would be trying to calm her down but since Outer Sakura was at the back of their mind somewhere she wasn't close enough to the front of their mind for them to be able communicate with each other. Inner sighed as she walked through the streets of Konoha. It was passed midday and she was beginning to get hungry.

'Maybe eating will take my mind off my anger.. Cha!' Just as Inner Sakura was thinking this she passed by a dango stand. Her mouth watered as she stared at the sweet treats. The woman who owned the stand noticed her staring and smiled at her. Without thinking Inner walked over the woman. The lady had brown hair that was tied into a bun on top of her head and clear, amber eyes.

"Can I help you with anything?" The lady smiled pleasantly down at her.

"Can I have some Botchan dango please?" Inner Sakura asked. The woman nodded before preparing her food. Inner frowned as she took out the small purse that Outer had put in the pocket of their jumper.

'Hopefully Outer doesn't get angry at me.. Cha!' Inner gulped. The last time she had spent all their savings on food Outer had been furious. Then again food did calm her down so maybe Outer would understand?

She was brought out of her thoughts by the two sticks of dango that were being offered to her.

"Here you go!" Smiled the woman as she passed the tasty treat over to the four year old.

She had stars in her eyes as she eyed the dango. 'It looks so good!' Inner drooled. She made her way over to a nearby bench and started eating her food, savouring the delicious flavour.

Just as Inner was about to start eating her second stick of dango she noticed a familiar presence walking over to her. "What do you want?" She growled.

The brown haired shinobi raised an eyebrow at her, "Well, I was wondering why you suddenly lashed out at me but I suppose asking that straight to your face would be a bit.." He struggled to find the word. He looked up to where the four year old had been sitting but was surprised to see that she had disappeared. 'Fast.' He thought.

Inner wanted to be left alone, so that was exactly what was going to happen. She would make sure of it. She took a bite of her dango and chewed it thoughtfully. She would have to find somewhere to hide since she knew that the brown haired man had some reason to chase her around.

She stopped in her tracks as a thought popped in her mind. 'Oh gosh no! Cha!' She thought in horror, 'He can't be.. interested in me!'

She nibbled anxiously on her dango as her brain worked a mile a minute. The thought of a -how old was he?- being interested in a four- nearly five- year old made her want to gag. The sweet flavour of the dango went sour in her mouth and her face contorted into a look of disgust.

'Oh, please no. Oh, please no. Oh, please no. Oh, please no. Oh, please no! Cha!' She prayed as she continued walking. She felt as if she was going to throw up and for once she wasn't hungry. She worried her lip as her brows furrowed. Maybe she should report him to the police? Then again her and Outer had agreed to keep a low profile.

Inner had brought up the topic of secrecy when Outer had allowed her to take over for a while. Sakura had been sleeping away somewhere in the back of their mind whilst Inner had made her way to the library to memorise as much as she could. She came across the rather scary- though she'd never admit it aloud- discovery that her and Outer being prodigies meant more then they thought. She doubted that Outer Sakura even knew that they were prodigies but she personally had known ever since they were little. Anyways, whilst she was memorising a few books she came across some information about Itachi Uchiha and the last Shinobi war. Apparently the boy had been forced to fight in the war at the tender age of four. Why he was the same age as her and Outer and he had already encountered death head on!

Knowing this had caused Inner to worry. She knew that their parents had worried about the same thing. They didn't want her and Outer to be turned into a weapon for the village. An emotionless, brainless, heartless killer. Somebody who didn't even think twice before killing. Inner preferred to rush into things and meet her problems head on with her fists but imagining Outer as a mindless zombie who wasn't allowed to show even the slightest bit of emotion hurt her..

Inner knew that she would always be there for Outer, they were practically sisters! She would gladly take a thousand kunai to the heart if it meant seeing her other half happy. So that was why she had brought up the idea of keeping their training and all of their accomplishments a secret. Of course, they had already decided this but because they were going to be attending the academy soon Inner had told Outer that it might be a good idea to down play their skills.

Outer had looked at her questioningly (they had both been in their mindscape at the time.) but nodded her head and didn't question it further. Inner knew that Outer was her best friend and that they trusted each other. She was grateful for this and had sworn to protect her other half with her life.

She tossed her dango into a nearby trash can before continuing on her search for a hiding place. 'Outer is definitely going to kill me for wasting our money.. cha.' She winced.

Deciding to focus on her currant task rather then dreading the punishment she would undoubtedly receive, the four year old looked around. She probably shouldn't go to their clearing since if the man did catch up with them then he would find out the location of their special place. This, however, left her in quite the predicament. Inner had no idea where to go, she couldn't go back to the house nor could she go to their clearing. She may be able to hide in the library but he would probably think to look there since Outer went there nearly every day, plus she wouldn't want to lead him to Manami-san since the woman would then be put into danger.

Outer would probably be able to think of a better hiding spot since she knew the village better then Inner did but because her emotions got out of control Outer had been pushed to the back of their mind. Her other half probably wouldn't be close enough to communicate for a while so Inner was left to figure out what to do on her own.

The four year old froze when she realised that she hadn't masked her chakra. 'Dang it! Rookie mistake, cha!' The shinobi probably knew exactly where she was because her emotions were practically a mess. She knew that her chakra was much the same since emotions and chakra were connected. The four year old wasn't sure why or how but she knew they were. 'I have to get as far away from here as I can!'

Sending small bursts of chakra to her feet for extra speed, the four year old sprinted into a nearby crowed of civilians. She could feel the shinobi hot on her heels and hoped that she could lose him in the crowed. Thanks to Outer always dodging in and out of similar crowds, their body had adjusted to dancing around people. She was actually quite impressed when she made it out of the crowd without having once touched a single person.

If they kept on racing through crowds of people everyday then just imagine how good their reflexes would be. They would probably be able to dodge in and out of a whole army in ten years. At least, Outer decided, that would be a good thing to aim for.

She shook her head, now was not the time to get lost in thought, she ran forward and round a corner, zoning in on the shinobi's chakra. She smirked when she felt his chakra ripple in confusion. 'Looks like I lost him, cha!' Her smirk fell off her face when she felt him jump up, onto what she guessed was the roof of a building.

She knew that ninja learnt to travel on rooftops or trees but if he used that to catch up with her then she wouldn't be able to get away!

The four year old was so focused on the chakra of her pursuer that she completely missed the presence standing in front of her. Of course, since she wasn't paying attention to where she was going, Inner Sakura bumped into the owner of said presence and fell back onto the floor.
