Sakura shivered as the cool night air hit her body. She trotted back over to her desk where her light grey dressing gown was folded over her chair. She slipped it on, hiding the kunai she had grabbed up her sleeve before turning back around to see the shinobi closing the door behind him.
"So.. what brings you here Shinobi-san?" She asked the man calmly.
He looked down at her for a moment before taking a deep breath. "Ok I realise that this must be kind of creepy but do you really need that kunai?"
'Oh no! He's onto us, cha!'
"What kunai Shinobi-san?" The young girl tried desperately to keep her voice strong but she couldn't help the small tremble that accompanied the words as they left her mouth.
"Kid.. you do realise that I'm a ninja right?"
'Well yeah.. why else would we call you 'Shinobi-san'?'
"I can easily tell that you're hiding a weapon up your sleeve." He then started ranting on about how he wasn't stupid.
'..Is he serious right now?'
'It appears that way..' Sakura continued watching exasperatedly as the ninja looked around her room, Inner was blinking stupidly in their brain as she tried to process what was happening.
Once he had finished his inspection he turned back to the pinkette whose eyes were glued to his form. The brunette sighed as he nibbled on the senbon in his mouth.
"Do I have food on my face or something?" The youngling shook her head.
"Gomen Shinobi-san.. I am really just confused why you are in my house." The man froze and his spine straightened, he looked as if he had just remembered that he had basically broken into a house where a four year old girl he didn't even know the name of lived.
"Err.. right.." The man continued after a short pause. "I- well.. I saw you staring at me at the market and I thought I would come find you to figure out what you wanted.."
It was a poor excuse but Sakura was too tired to state this so she just sighed as she rubbed her exhausted eyes.
"Whatever.." She said. "Do you mind leaving now? I'm too tired to deal with your presence at the moment."
"Can I at least get your name?" The brown haired ninja asked.
'Why is he so infatuated with us? Cha!'
'Relax Inner. Most people are curious about us because of our unusual colouring and our mature personality- or well, my mature personality.. yours is more.. unique..'
'Hey!' The pinkette internally rolled her eyes before turning her attention back to the man in front of her who seemed to have realised that she had zoned out.
"Ah! Sorry about that!" She scratched the back of her head sheepishly. "I'm Sakura, Sakura Haruno!" The man stared at her for a moment before blinking.
"Err... it suits you?" His.. compliment was more like a question but Sakura brushed it off easily.
"And who are you Shinobi-san?" The emerald eyed girl asked. She knew that ninja were often quite private but she was curious as to how much she could get out of this man.
'You know that you already have all of his information through me right? Cha!'
'Yeah, yeah, I know but I can't just address him by his name when he hasn't given it to me.' Sometimes the pinkette wondered how her other half could be so stupid.
"You can just continue calling me Shinobi-san or whatever kid, I'm not all that bothered." His face had hardened slightly and Sakura cursed internally when she realised that her question had put him on guard.
'How does that work? Shouldn't he trust us since we're from the same village or whatever?'
'That's not exactly how things work.. As we already know ninjas are private people. It's almost like they have a defense system that will raise their guard whenever they feel as if someone is getting too close for their comfort or something. Over all it's kind of like them stopping themselves from saying too much.'
'Psh! I knew that!'
'Sure you did..' Sakura deadpanned. She covered her mouth with her hand as she let out a yawn. She hadn't realised how late it was until now.
"Very well Shinobi-san.. could you please come back in the morning or something for whatever you need? I'm too tired to deal with you right now."
"Hmm.. so I can come back tomorrow?" The pinkette nodded. "Alright, see ya then!" In the next second he had disappeared in a poof of smoke and Sakura's nose wrinkled.
'Great, cha! You just gave him a free invitation to come back tomorrow!' Inner threw her hands up in frustration from within their mindscape.
'You can complain as much as you want in the morning Inner. I am too tired to listen to your complaints. Now if you don't mind I'm going to go to bed now." The young girl took off her dressing gown and blinked when she saw that she was still holding her kunai. 'I nearly forgot I was hiding that..'
She put down the weapon on her desk and hung the dressing gown on her chair before making her way to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and went to the toilet before going back to her room and getting into her bed. She placed the book she had previously been reading on the wooden floor before snuggling deeper into her sheets, it wasn't long until she was fast asleep.

'-ter! Cha! Wake up! The creepy guy is waiting on our balcony!' Inner's cries were the first thing Sakura heard as she woke up.
'Inner.. I'm tired.. let me sleep in..' Sakura groaned when Inner failed to be quiet. She got out of bed and, still half asleep, walked clumsily over to the glass door that lead to her balcony.
She opened the door and squinted her eyes as the harsh rays of the morning sun made themselves known to her. She turned her head to look at the brown haired man who was casually chewing on the needle in his mouth.
"Good morning." He lifted up a hand and waved at her. Then he moved past her and entered her room, leaving Sakura spluttering silently as her brain woke up.
"Shinobi-san.." Sakura paused when she came back into the room to see the male pulling out a scroll from one of the pockets in his green vest. "..What is that?"
"This, Sakura, is a scroll."
'We know that! Cha!' Ignoring her Inner's shouts Sakura asked her question in a more.. strategical matter.
"What is the scroll for?" Compared to Inner's wording Sakura thought hers was a lot more appropriate.
"Well.. this particular scroll is for storing things.." Once those words left his mouth a poof of smoke emanated from the unraveled scroll. The smoke dispersed to reveal a sharpening stone.
'.. What is this sorcery..?' Sakura nearly face palmed at her shadow's dumb remark.
'Shouldn't you already know about all this stuff with that odd ability of yours?'
'Well yeah.. cha! But I like acting ignorant.'
'.. You sure it's an act?' The pinkette deadpanned. She ignored the outraged squawks that followed her words in favour of walking closer to the shinobi and staring curiously at the object he held.
"I thought that your weapons could use sharpening." The four year old blinked in surprise as she looked up at the man.
"Eh?" It wasn't the most intelligent response but her brain was fried and she had in no way expected for the brunette to get out a sharpening stone.
'How does he even know that we need a sharpening stone?'
'He probably noticed that the kunai we placed on our desk last night is dull. Just so you know once we have enough money to buy one you are forbidden from touching it.' Inner had lost their old sharpening stone when she was in control of their body and Sakura had been extremely annoyed when she found out since they couldn't just purchase a new one.
"Can you grab the kunai on your desk? I'll show you how to sharpen the blade." Sakura snapped to attention and marched over to her desk. She grabbed her kunai before walking back to the man and handing him the weapon.
She already knew how to sharpen her weapons but she supposed having him do it for her wouldn't hurt. After a few moments her kunai was perfectly sharpened and Sakura admired the way the light reflected off of the blade.
"There you go! Go get another kunai and try doing it on your own this time." The small pinkette nodded before retrieving another kunai from one of her draws. She then made her way back to the brown haired man. Sakura's brows drew together and she bit her bottom lip, looking shyly up at Genma.
"S-shinobi-san.. could you please show me again? I don't think I understand.." He sighed before giving in.
After a good ten minutes all of Sakura's weapons had been sharpened and Genma exited her home. It wasn't until he had made it a good distance away from her house that he realised that he had sharpened all of her weapons whilst she hadn't done a thing.
'Dang kid..' He frowned for a moment before a smirk made it's way onto his face, the senbon in his mouth rolling around his lips. He had been wondering why he felt as if he should get closer to the pink haired child and he thinks he just found out why. 'Heh.. I'll be seeing you again soon..'
"Genma Shiranui, Hokage-sama wishes to see you."
'Depending on however long whatever the Hokage wants takes I'll see you soon... I may actually be seeing you in a week or so..' He sighed. "Alright, let's go then." The anbu and the brunette both disappeared as they travelled at a speed that made them invisible to any spying eyes.
