In the cafeteria...

Midoriya walked into the cafeteria with Chloe right by her side. He could tell she was a little nervous going in there, especially with him by her side. Usually she was with Sabrina and had someone get her food for her, but Midoriya stayed with her. A few people noticed him standing next to her and starting whispering about them.

Chloe even got a few glares.

"Umm... maybe I shouldn't be here," Chloe said to him, "It's probably best that I just eat somewhere else."

"Chloe, it's okay. If you sit with me, I'm sure things will be fine," Midoriya said to her with a big smile.

Chloe followed him, and they both entered the line together. Midoriya grabbed a tray and gave her one. Chloe smiled back at him and took it from him. They both grabbed a few things that were still available. Midoriya took a chicken sandwich along with a salad and an apple juice. Chloe grabbed a BLT sandwich along with a salad and a lemonade.

They both noticed that there was only one dessert left. It was a chocolate pudding.

Midoriya grabbed and gave it to Chloe. She took it and gave him a smile.

After grabbing what they want, Midoriya brought her over to their table. Class 1-A all looked up to see Chloe standing next to him. Chloe was stunned to see Marinette and Adrien sitting at the table with them. She was so confused and wondered if she should sit somewhere else.

"Hey guys, I invited Chloe to sit with us," Midoriya said to them, "Is that okay?"

They all looked at each other, totally fine with it except for Marinette and Adrien. They felt it was still weird considering she didn't know that they fought together with the akumas. But they were okay with it anyway.

"Yeah! Of course!" Ashido cried out, "After all, you did help us with the akumas!"

Chloe looked awkwardly at them all and sat next to Midoriya and Marinette. She could tell that Marinette was uncomfortable with Chloe sitting next to her. They never sat at the same table, so it was very strange to see Chloe eating a BLT sandwich. Marinette picked at her salad as Class 1-A went about their meal.

Then Chloe noticed that Bakugo wasn't even at the table. She looked around for him, but he wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"He-Hey, Where's Katsuki?" Chloe asked them, "I just saw him not that long ago."

"Oh, he went out to grab something to eat, but it looks like he might've taken it elsewhere," Kirishima explained to her, "He's not one for this big of a group lunch."

"Oh... Okay..." Chloe said, slumping her shoulders.

Class 1-A all shared a look as Chloe ate her salad. Even Marinette started to feel bad for her, side glancing her here and there.

"So, Chloe..."

Chloe looked up and saw Ashido's knowing grin staring back at her. Chloe flinched in her seat and put her fork down.

"You gave Bakugo some chocolates, hmm?" Ashido said to her.

Chloe felt her cheeks warm up from Ashido's attempt to get something out of her about Bakugo. She looked over at Midoriya who was eating his sandwich. He looked over at her with a concerned look on his face.

"We-Well... Ye-Yes..." Chloe said to Ashido, a little flustered, "I-I ju-just thought since he got akumatized, he might like something from the Bakery Shop..."

Marinette turned to her, realizing that she had gone all the way to her parents's Bakery Shop before going to school. She just hoped her parents didn't say anything that would make her suspicious of them.

"Sure... You like him, don't you...?" Ashido asked her as she waved her fork around.

Chloe almost choked on her sandwich, but was able to chew on it first. She felt so embarrassed just sitting somewhere else, but now Ashido poking at her about who she liked. They weren't even friends for that long.

"Ashido, that's enough," Jirou said to her.

"Oh come on! No one falls for someone like Bakugo!" Ashido cried out, "I've gotta know!"

Midoriya made sure Chloe was okay and helped her out. Even Marinette was wondering about Chloe liking Bakugo. He didn't seem like someone that she would fall for. Then again, she hasn't been a superhero for a long time. He could've just caught her eye while they were hero training.

"I don't have to tell you anything, Raccoon Eyes!" Chloe yelled at her.

Ashido blinked at her, shocked to hear her say that of all things to her.

"Wow, you guys really are meant to be together," Ashido said to her, still shocked, "Bakugo used to call me that."

Chloe felt even more embarrassed as she slumped down in her chair. Marinette had never seen her act like this before, it was very weird to see her so flustered. It reminded her of herself whenever she was around Adrien. She took a bite out of her salad, watching Chloe start to gather herself.

Chloe then looked at Marinette, and they shared a moment. They didn't even say anything. Chloe had barely even seen her in school, and yet she was friends with Class 1-A. She was surprised to see her even sitting with them.

Chloe cleared her throat as she went back to her salad.

"So, Dupain Cheng... I went over to the Bakery this morning, and you weren't there," Chloe said to her.

Marinette stiffened up a bit with Adrien and a few others noticing.

"Well, I had to get to school right away. Class 1-A needed me and Adrien for some help getting some things rearranged for some hero training. We've been helping a lot with that lately. That's probably why you haven't seen us that much lately," Marinette tried to explain without getting flustered.

Chloe caught her in the act. She looked back at her, wondering why she was lying, especially Adrien.

"I thought you were working on a school project with them," Chloe said to her, "Your mom said that you've been gone since last night working on it with Class 1-A."

Marinette and Adrien both stopped eating and realized what she'd just said. Chloe had just caught them in a lie together. Even Class 1-A noticed it as well.

"We-Well... I-I um--"

"She was with me at my place last night," Adrien said to her.

Everyone stopped eating and looked up to see Adrien cover for her. Not only that, he'd just said that Marinette was at his place, last night. Marinette's eyes widened and felt her cheeks warm up from what he had just implied.

"Marinette needed help on a School Project so she came over to my place so I could help her. We both fell asleep and ended up going to school right after," Adrien tried to explain, "We still had to help out with the heroes in training so that's probably why you didn't see us this morning."

Everyone looked at Marinette, Adrien and Chloe with their jaws dropped. Ashido was almost jumping for joy at what was going on. Jirou could barely look at them as she picked at her salad.

Chloe gave them both a suspicious look, but pulled back a bit. She could tell he was just covering for her.

"Sure, whatever. It's not like we're friends like we use to be," Chloe said to Adrien, "You can date whoever you want to, Adrien. I just can't believe you picked Baker Gi-- I mean... Marinette, to be your girlfriend."

"We're not dating, Chloe," Adrien said to her with a subtle blush across his face, "Besides... it's too early to start dating since... me and Kyouka kind of broke up..."

Marinette's eyes widened with shock, not even knowing anything about this. She looked at Adrien, and he looked a little upset, but not as bad as she thought.

Chloe automatically looked up at Jirou, who was trying to avoid eye contact with her. She kind of forgot they were even dating at all. Chloe did feel bad for him since they were childhood friends. He looked like he was doing okay though.

"That didn't last very long," Chloe said as she ate her salad.

"Chloe!" Marinette cried out, "Can't you just be a little sensitive about this? Adrien is your friend."

Chloe swallowed her food and looked at Marinette. She had a dirty glare on her face, but this time however, Chloe didn't give her one back. She noticed that Marinette was still wearing her backpack. She never took it off while they were eating.

Chloe noticed something poking out of her jacket. It was just barely there, but it looked a bit translucent and a bit of light went through it. She looked back at Marinette with a curious look on her face.

Looking at her tray, she noticed all she had left was the chocolate pudding Midoriya gave her. She wasn't that hungry so she gave Midoriya the pudding back.

"Sorry, Adrien. We are still friends, so I hope you're okay," Chloe said to him, then turned out Midoriya, "I really hope I can help with whatever you guys are figuring out with Chrysalis. Maybe even other things if you need it."

Chloe grabbed her tray and walked away. She dumped her trash and walked out. Not before bumping into Bakugo and getting flustered all over again.

Soon enough, she left the cafeteria.

Back in Class 1-A's classroom...

Classes were over, and Marinette, Adrien and Alya stayed behind to help figure out the decoding for some recipes. Marinette transformed into Ladybug again since she seems to figure these things out better as her. During school, they were able to decode at least most of Ladybug's recipes.

Ladybug noticed some things about the recipes that could use that might help them reverse their transformations.

"Some of these recipes are very strange," Ladybug said to them, "A couple of them make sense that a past Ladybug would create it, but others not so much."

"What do you mean, Ladybug?" Midoriya asked her.

Ladybug laid a couple of notebook pages that she had written down the recipes on the table. A few of her friends looked closely at them as she went through them.

"Like this one says, Dreamcatcher Charm, where you can use this potion to put on an object to get rid of bad dreams," Ladybug explained, "And this one says, Four Leaf Clover Charm, where it can help you find something important. It's something that Ladybug would make because it has to do with something like a Lucky Charm. But then this one says, Animal Transformation. This one could help, but why would this be under Ladybug's page?"

"Maybe a past Ladybug just had more time on their hands," Alya said to her, "Besides, the Animal Transformation recipe might help somehow."

Midoriya got a little nervous as he watched them talk about these recipes. Especially the Animal Transformation recipe.

"Are you sure that won't just make things worse?" Midoriya asked them, "That sounds like something that would just, you know... transform us into animals."

Alya knew that's definitely what it was, but she had a plan.

"Let's just use a few of the ingredients. If we can find the right ones, we could find a way to make an antidote," Alya explained.

Class 1-A didn't think that was a bad idea, but Adrien and Midoriya looked really nervous to do this.

"Bu-But I could turn into a black cat!" Adrien cried out, "I-I can't go around walking like that!"

"We've gotta try it out at least," Ladybug said to him, "Alya and Class 1-A's got our backs. We should at least start gathering some of these ingredients."

Adrien took a deep breath in and out as he walked over to the recipes that were written down. Some of the ingredients seemed a little of a stretch and others were questionable.

"One of these recipes call for something that you can use to erase... That might be something," Todoroki said to them.

"The Animal Transformation asks for a lock of fur from a feline animal," Kirishima pointed out.

They all looked at Adrien who just stood there covering his cat ears and tucking his tail in.

"Don't even think about it!" Adrien cried out.

"Come on, Adrien," Ashido said to him, "Just a little cut of your fur. It's the best way we can help you guys."

Class 1-A kept looking at the recipes while Alya thought about the ingredient that Kirishima and Todoroki mentioned. She looked at Midoriya's bunny ears, Marinette's wings and Adrien's cat ears.

"Maybe this will be easier than we thought," Alya said to them, "Now we just need to find any of these ingredients, even ones that we might not need just in case."

Ladybug and the rest of the class all gave her exciting looks. They were just happy to get started soon.

Another amazing chapter!

This was just something to start on! That was really sweet of Midoriya to let her sit with them! Ashido really wants to know if Chloe likes Bakugo! Ahh! Chloe's starting to realize Marinette and Adrien are keeping something from her! Ooh! She's getting pretty close to figuring out that they are Ladybug and Cat Noir!

They have finally figured out what they might need for a recipe to reverse the transformation!
