"Alright, if you're sure."

"Mom, I'm sure."

"Okay make sure you and Cream and Marine get there safely, you have everything you need, right?"

"Correct."

"Alright, thank you. Love you, Blaze."

"Love you too Mom."

Blaze walks away and Vanilla shuts the door. Cream and Marine are waiting for Blaze at the end of the driveway. They embark on their journey. It takes a bit, but eventually they reach Amy's house which is a lot closer than they realized. The trio reach Amy's address and Blaze rings the doorbell. The house isn't too big, only two stories plus a basement. So it's not like Amy is crazy rich, not like that would matter… too much. The three wait for a couple seconds before Amy opens the door.

"Hey guys, come in! Make sure to take off your shoes, please."

Blaze, Cream and Marine go into the house, and take their shoes off. Then go to where Amy is standing, in the kitchen.

"How's it going?" Amy asks

"Good, how about you?" Blaze asks Amy.

"Fantastic! Did you guys notice the decorations?"

"Yeah! They look great!"

"Thank you Cream!"

"Did your parents help you with that?" Marine asks, looking out a window into the years where many decorations are strung about.

"No… They aren't here too often. So I did it all by myself!"

"Huh, lucky" Marine says still looking out the window

"…So what's the game plan? Amy asks the three

"We're still waiting for Tails" Marine says looking around at the kitchen

"That's about it." Blaze says.

Amy makes a small laugh, then shows the three around the house, while they wait for Tails. Marine seems to be the most interested, looking around at everything. While Cream asks the most questions. Blaze follows Amy around, interested but kind of out of it.

After the house tour, Tails comes. Dropped off by her Mom and Dad. She gets out of the van and says her goodbyes to her parents. After that her parents leave. Everyone welcomes her. Then Cream, Marine and Tails leave to go trick or treating while Blaze and Amy stay to give candy to any trick or treaters.

"Trick or treat!" A small bee who is dressed in a little detective outfit says.

"Here you go." Amy says happily and gives the child a piece of candy.

"Alright Charmy, what do we say?" A Chameleon says over the bee.

"Oh…right…"

"Charmy?"

"Oh yeah! More please!" The small child says to Amy holding out their basket again.

"Charmy!"

"That's my kid!" A Crocodile says next to the Chameleon.

"Vector! Sorry, Miss."

"It's fine! Here you go!" She gives the bee another peice.

"Thank you!" The bee says while the Crocodile laughs and the Chameleon sighs, and waves goodbye to Amy and Blaze.

"Kids can be a pain sometimes." Blaze says closing the door.

"Yeah but at least it was funny that time"

"Sure… Amy?"

"Yeah?"

"Why do you like Halloween so much?"

"Well… I just find it nice and comforting in a way. It's nice to see children with their parents or children having fun" A tear come to Amy's eye "Sorry"

Blaze goes over to her and rips off a napkin and wipes her eye. Amy blushes at that. Blaze realizes what she did and turns away, her cape doing a dramatic seeming swoosh. Blaze give her the paper napkin after that.

"Sorry."

"It's fine, it was quite nice actually"

"Thanks."

"You're Welcome"

"…" A silence comes over the two.

"The reason I did it…"

"Yeah?"

"I hate to see you cry."

"Oh…"

Amy's eyes water more. Blaze sees this and goes up to her and hugs her. Amy cries on Blaze's shoulder. Blaze doesn't care if her costume gets wet or even if she does. As long as Amy's okay. Eventually Amy stops crying. Blaze takes Amy off her own shoulder and look at her while Amy tries to wipe her tears away. Blaze gets her another paper napkin. Which Amy thanks her for and uses graciously.

As Amy clears up her nose, Blaze looks out for trick or treaters. Amy finally clears her sinuses, and looks at Blaze who is looking through a window. Amy smiles and honestly would cry again if she could. Instead she goes behind Blaze and taps her shoulder.

"Thank You"

"It's the least I could do for making you cry."

"It wasn't your fault, my parents are just never around. They never really care too much about me and how I'm feeling. I guess you broke something in me. So it's not your fault, it's nobody's fault."

"It sounds like your parents' fault."

"…They're just busy."

"If you say so…"

"Thank you, but you don't need to worry about me…"

"If I can't, then who will?"

"…I don't know. I just don't want to inconvenience you."

"…What?…"

"I'm sorry I'm such a burden."

"No."

"What?"

"You are not a burden."

"…"

"Amy, you are such a great person and honestly you have made my life so much better and so less… boring. You're not a burden, you're the exact opposite."

"…Thank you, but-"

"Amy!"

"…"

"You." Blaze steps towards her.

"…"

"Are." Blaze looks at her in the eyes.

"…"

"Not." Blaze gets closer.

"…"

"A." Blaze gets closer.

"…"

"Burden." Blaze has tears in her eyes.

Blaze hugs Amy crying. Amy is shocked but happily melts into the hug. While Blaze cries into her shoulder. This lasts less time. As Blaze quickly gets off of Amy's shoulder and looks at her, smiling with tears in her eyes.

"Never say that about yourself again."

"…Okay" Amy says with a smile

The two hold the position for a bit before both simultaneously going into laughter. They laugh for a bit then clean up themselves. As Blaze heads back to the door for trick or treaters the bell rings. She sighs.

"Coming." The bell keeps ringing.

"I said I'm coming." The bell keeps going.

Blaze finally gets to and opens the door only to be bulldozed by Cream, Marine and Tails. Who immediately shut the door behind them, extremely scared.

"What's going on?" Amy asks

"LOCK ALL THE DOORS AND WINDOWS!" Marine screams and goes to do said thing with the two others.

Amy chases after them for wearing shoes in the house while Blaze sits on the floor in pain.

"Ow."

The three eventually calm down and everyone goes into the living room.

"Ow."

"Sorry, Blaze." Cream says while patting Marine who is rocking back and forth.

"What happened?" Amy asks.

Tails opens her mouth and starts to tell the tale.
