With the world evolving into a superhuman society and roughly 80% of the world's population now possessing some kind of special ability, It opened the door to a profession that everyone once desired and admired. A Hero's World...

Chiyo, Hatsuki She had always wished and dreamed of becoming a hero herself, but no matter what world you live in, heroes or not, Men are not all created equal. It's not that she didn't have a quirk of her own; she did, but it was one her parents had feared.

No matter how much she pleaded, they refused to let her become a hero. She wanted to show them that, despite her quirk, she was capable of protecting others' hopes and dreams for the future. Despite the fact that she, too, had fears and doubts about her quirk,

Hatsuki sat at her desk, staring out the window of the classroom. Aldera Junior High was her third year there. Her teacher was speaking at the time, but she wasn't really paying attention to him or anyone else.

She kept to herself most of the time and was a loner. She wasn't afraid to make friends or to come out of her shell. especially with her quirk. She just didn't try to get close to anyone.

"Since you're all in your third year, it's time for you to think seriously about your future," the teacher said.

"I'll pass out handouts for your future plans now, but... you're all pretty much planning to go into the hero course, right?" He joyfully threw the stack of papers in the air.

When she faced the entire class, it erupted in excitement, and everyone began showing off their own quirks that were unique to them. with the exception of her as well as another student.

The green-haired boy who sat in the middle of the classroom at a desk When she looked at him, he sheepishly raised his hand with a not-so-excited expression on his face.

She couldn't hold it against him. He was the only person in the class who didn't have a quirk. While everyone was chatting, it abruptly stopped when a certain voice began to speak.

The blond sat in his chair, arms behind him, legs and feet resting on top of the desk.

"Teach!"

"Don't lump us all in the same group. I'm not going to be stuck at the bottom with the rest of these rejects!" He announces it aloud.

"That was uncalled for!" Out of rage, a group of students began yelling at him. That's Katsuki Bakugo for you. If Hatsuki was being completely honest, he was the person she disliked the most. She didn't hate him, but she wouldn't be his friend.

"You all should shut up like the extras you are!" Bakugo yelled back at them mockingly.

Hatsuki rolled her eyes as she watched. Can he be any more self-absorbed? She pondered. The teacher mentioned Katsuki's desire to attend U.A. It was thought to be the best school in Japan to attend for the hero course.

Katsuki then went on a rant about how he'll be the only one from our school who can get into the U.S. Hearing his boast made her want to prove him wrong and say that he's not the only one who can do it.

It was the school that Hatsuki wanted to go to.

He then boasted about becoming the top hero, even greater than All Might, who was regarded as the number one hero. He was filled with pride and self-exaltation until the teacher mentioned that Izuku wanted to go to the U.S.

He was the shy, green-haired kid in their class. Everyone made fun of him for being quirkless and thinking he could get into a school with such a low acceptance rate. Hatsuki was the only person who didn't laugh. She was actually hoping for him to prove everyone wrong.

She admired his aspiration to become a hero despite the absence of a quirk. But, at the same time, what was the point when even having a quirk wasn't always enough? His predicament began to make her feel insecure about her own.

Hatsuki didn't like it when Katsuki started picking on Izuku again, but she couldn't muster the courage to step in and help. It made her doubt whether she could ever truly become a hero. I mean, if she couldn't even help a classmate who was in trouble, how was she going to save a complete stranger from danger?

...

When class was over. Hatsuki was walking out of school when she noticed a notebook in the water, surrounded by fish. She pulled it out of the water, scaring away the fish that were surrounding it.

She read the title of it, "Hero Analysis for the Future," No. 13. When she looked at it and saw the burn marks on it, she knew it belonged to Izuku Midoriya. Katsuki had to have burned it and thrown it out the classroom window.

"Stupid bastard", she sighed. She looked to her left and saw Izuku with his hands clenched onto his bag and his head bowed. When he noticed Hatsuki holding his notebook, he looked up.

She didn't say anything and simply handed him the notebook back. She then went on her way home. When she handed him back her notebook, she refused to look at him.

A loud, booming sound came from nearby while she was walking. There was a plume of black smoke rising into the air. Her first instinct was to continue walking away from the scene, but something inside her told her to turn around.

She arrived at the Tatooin Shopping District's entrance, where there was already a crowd of people watching and wondering what was going on. There were alarms and screams flying through the air.

Hatsuki moved closer to get a better look, and her field of vision was drawn to the villain. It was green and looked like a sludge monster. However, the explosions continued, with pieces of windows and stores exploding, crashing to the ground, and flying everywhere.

That wasn't the only thing there was a hostage the clutches of the sludge villain had. Hatsuki's eyes widened with anxiety and fear when she realized the person kidnapped was Katsuki Bakugo.

Yes, he was a stupid bastard, but she didn't want him to get hurt or, worse, die. Fortunately, some heroes arrived on the scene and made their way to Katsuki's aid. Hatsuki hoped they'd be able to save him soon.

However, based on the scene, none of the pros who displayed none of their quirks were compatible to stop the sludge villain, and Katsukis' quirk made it even more difficult.

Everything appeared to be hopeless. The pro heroes could only hope that another hero with a better quirk would appear. Hatsuki wanted to help even though she wasn't supposed to. She realized at the time that her quirk might not be able to completely stop the villain, but it would give the heroes a better chance of success.

She couldn't do it because her body was frozen. The mere thought of using her quirk reminded her of her parents chastising her for not using it. She couldn't use a quirk she couldn't even control.

Then the most unexpected thing happened while everyone was terrified and unsure of what to do. Hatsuki looked to her side as she noticed the green-haired boy from her class run right past her and everyone else making their way to the villain.

"Midoriya!" Chiyo shouted in shock.

"Idiot! Stop!" one of the heroes then shouted out to him as well.

While running, Izuku grabbed his own book bag and threw it at the villain. The bag was open, and books, pencils, and pens began hitting the villain, with one of Izuku's books hitting him in the eye.

He then started scratching at the villain in an attempt to free Katsuki. Nobody, not even Hatsuki, could understand how Izuku could just jump in like that. Until she overheard something he said to Katsuki

"You looked like you were asking for help!" Midoriya cried

That moment solidified everything for her. Then All Might appeared and stopped the sludge villain.

After things had calmed down, Hatsuki noticed Izuku being rebuked by the other heroes while Katsuki was being praised. Even though Izuku should have received some kind of recognition, he definitely received hers, even if it wasn't verbal.

That day, she determined that she, too, could become a hero.
