A\N Hi guys, just a trigger warning. if you've had a stalker in the past this might not be the story for you.
Chapter 1
At least it wasn't cold here. Trip could bare sleeping in these stone wall apartments on straw beds with thin blankets because the weather was so mild. It was sort of like camping out in somewhere like Greece except obviously the food was better in Greece. They had to make do with Starfleet ration packs for the whole trip. But honestly these people had nothing, they were peaceful religious stone house dwellers and honestly Trip was going to be glad to see the back of them. A smile tugged the corners of his lips as he packed the last of his clothes into his small metal case.
He looked up as Hoshi skipped into the room. He grinned at her.
"Try not to make it so obvious,"
"Make what obvious?" she smiled back.
"That you can't wait to get back to the ship."
Hoshi did a mock pout and slumped her shoulder as she headed over to her own bed.
"I'm sure going to miss this place," she lied shaking her head.
The smile slipped from Trips face as Anok Fara stood in the doorway. She was wearing a shimmering colourful gown and her hair was up in ringlets. She smiled demurely at him.
Hoshi busied herself with her packing trying to ignore the cringe fest that was about to happen.
"All packed?" she smiled as she sashayed over to him.
She picked up one of his vests and handed it to him.
"Thank you," he smiled not making eye contact with her.
"It was a pleasure to spend the week here Miss Fara, thanks for havin us."
"It was a pleasure to have you," she purred in that obnoxious voice. She was invading his space again. Trips face was starting to colour up which usually made her even worse.
"I really enjoyed the sights," Hoshi called over. "I am going to upload your language to my pad as soon as I get back."
"Good," she smiled, now back to him.
"So, Trip, I've learnt that you are without mate. When I first saw you in the party, I assumed you and Hoshi were lovers."
Hoshi scowled as she slammed the book she was reading into her case.
"Now Miss Fara…" he began.
She put both hands up in mock surrender. "I know, I'm sorry. I'm not to comment on your private life but I just want to express concern as a friend, Can't I do that?"
Trip thought for a moment,
"Of course," He said.
"Well then I sincerely hope that you find someone who deserves you and I wish to say that I will always remember you."
"That's very nice, thank you."
"Now how about a kiss goodbye."
"Miss Fara,"
"On the cheek, for heaven's sake."
He reached over to give her a peck on the cheek but of course she moved her head. She moved in and literally mashed herself up against him. Strong alien as she was, she backed him up against the wall and got her kiss. For Trip it was like drowning in a swamp.
Hoshi had quite enough of this, she smartly walked over and addressed the much taller woman.
"Ma'am, with all respect we have to be leaving in ten minutes and we haven't even filled out our reports yet. Can you just say goodbye at the landing point with the rest of the party. It would really help us out here."
Anok Fara gave her a curt smile as she stood back. She breezed off towards the door. Trip straightened up and began rubbing alien lipstick from his mouth.
"Are you alright?" she asked.
"Of course I'm alright," he lied, "She's just a little too friendly is all."
Hoshi scowled at the doorway she had just fled through. "She's more than too friendly commander. You should report it."
Trip put a hand to her shoulder. "Nah, it's ok. We're gettin out of here. Besides, I have my bodyguard to protect me right?"
"Right?" she smiled.
Anok Fara watched them all gather outside the shuttle pod. She let out a sigh. Her eyes wandered down to a pile of their belongings on the ground in the hall just waiting to be loaded up. Without thinking she walked over and took up Hoshi's jacket. It was a lovely velvet black jacket with ruby coloured buttons. It was so tiny, the bitch.
She took it and hurried down the stone hall towards her own room. They all grabbed what they could and carried the loads out to the shuttle. Hoshi was suddenly looking around.
"Everything all right Ensign," Archer asked.
"My Jacket, I can't find it."
"Did you pack it perhaps," he grinned.
"I don't think so Sir, I wanted to wear it home."
"Well ok, We'll look for it."
She was heading back towards the compound.
"No Sir I probably left it on my bed, I'll be right back."
She hurried into the stone compound and ran the length of the hall towards her room.
She looked all around, under the bed.
"Looking for this,"
She turned to see Anok Fara holding up the jacket.
Hoshi was about to take it when something froze her to the spot. A sudden feeling of dread.
Anok Fara threw the jacket aside and approached her.
~o~
"Come on Hoshi, daylights wasting," Archer yelled out.
They soon saw the slight form walking out of the compound wearing the lost jacket.
"You found it," Archer said.
"Indeed, I did," She beamed at him as she got in and took a seat beside Trip. He smiled at her as she buckled herself in.
The people of Suru Satin gathered to say a final goodbye to the travellers. They were a party of about 20 people all wearing robes and peaceful smiles. Some on the older men had white beards and kind eyes.
Their leader, an elderly man call Mance stepped forward.
"It was so nice of you to come visit us. We don't get many visitors here. We learned so much from your stories of discovery. Please remember, friends are never far away."
Archer shook his hand, "Thank you so much. We really enjoyed our stay."
With that Archer got in and the Shuttle pod took off with the gentle people waving them goodbye. As the aircraft soured into the sky, they slowly dropped their hands.
"Thank God that's over," Mance said. "I did not understand one word that young man was saying."
His wife turned to him "Ugh he talked so fast; I'm surprised their linguist expert didn't translate for us."
"And what was that stupid looking furry thing he kept holding and petting. I wanted to step on it."
One of the younger men looked around, "Where is Anok Fara, I'm surprised she isn't here to say goodbye to lover boy."
They watched as the lady herself came out, but it wasn't her. The figure staggered left trampling through the plants and getting lost in the foliage.
"She has voided the body already, where is she," Mance snapped irritably.
They watched as the body she had inhabited looked back at them in confusion.
"Oh well, she'll turn up sooner or later. At least we have plenty of knowledge for the Sedwin Scholars. Those alien brains were full of useless facts."
His wife smiled, "Now, now Mance, the more knowledge of alien races we have, the more languages we know, the more bodies we can inhabit."
"On that note I think it's time to go,"
On Mance's word they all flew upwards out of the bodies they were inhabiting, and their shimmering lights floated away up into the sky.
The people left behind had no idea what had happened. They looked at each other and down at the funny clothes they were wearing. They grunted at each other and staggered off in search of meat.
"I'm beat," Trip grinned, "I'm never so glad to see that ship."
"Yep, I think an Annual leave day will be in order tomorrow. Malcolm Travis and T'Pol can work the bridge." Archer told them.
"Woo Hoo," Hoshi called out holding up her arms.
Archer grinned at her spontaneous outburst.
The shuttlepod slowed as it entered the landing bay. They all got out carrying their bags and coats and bits and pieces. Porthos bounded out trotting happily beside his master.
Curiously Hoshi landed a hand on Trips upper leg as she launched herself out of her seat. Trip curled his lower lip as he looked up at her.
"Oh sorry," she gave a small smile and lowered her eyes.
"Don't worry, I'm probably a little paranoid after our friends' shenanigans below." He grinned. "What's say we dump our stuff and head to the mess hall."
"Sounds good," she beamed up at him.
T'Pol came to greet them in her usual formal manner.
"Did you have a pleasant trip Captain?" she asked.
"It was great, you should have come along. They were a fascinating people."
T'Pol's gaze took in Trip standing behind. He was scruffy and flushed looking from days in the open-air scouting for flora and fauna on wild mountain terrain. She noted that he could really use a bath, a long soak in a bath.
"Sub-Commander are you alright," Archer asked.
"Of course, Captain, I apologise. What were you saying?"
"Never mind, I don't even remember, I'm just glad to be home."
Anok Fara could find her way around Hoshi's mind as well as stealing her body. Hoshi's conscience was in a state of deep sleep but Anok Fara could probe it for the information she needed. She soon knew where to find her cabin. It was up in E Deck.
"Hoshi, where ye going?" Trip called out.
"My cabin?"
"Aren't you forgetting the Decon Chamber?"
Fara hadn't a clue what he was talking about but followed him and Archer down a corridor towards sickbay. She soon found out.
Archer glanced over at Hoshi enthusiastically rubbing gel all over Trips back. She would usually go to the furthest corner with her face to the wall and put gel on to her own limbs. If there were men in with her it was a silent agreement that they would rub the gel on her back in split seconds. Everyone knew this about her. Archer quickly surmised that she wanted this over as quickly as possible so they could get something to eat and rest.
Trip would never admit it, but he enjoyed the back rub from Hoshi. The last week had been a tense affair. As peaceful as these people made out to be Trip couldn't shake the feeling that there was something about them, something a little darker. But nothing in their behaviour spoke of this. Yes, there was that one awful woman, but the others had been hospitable and courteous. He had no idea why he had such reservations about them.
Fara loved Hoshi's body, she had been forced to wear that tall stocky tree trunk of a woman for the past few months. She felt so manly and unattractive. Hoshi was small, compact and cute. She handed the pot of gel to Trip and stood in giddy anticipation of him massaging her. She shivered with pleasure as he laid warm hands on her skin.
He stopped, "Are you alright?" He asked.
"I'm fine," she said.
Archer turned to her; he was bare chested, but nothing was as ripped as Trip.
"Ensign, perhaps you should step in and see Doctor Phlox on your way out. He has no patients just now, it might give him something to do." He smiled warmly at her.
"But sir I'm fine," she spoke, making her eyes look wide and innocent.
"Indulge me this once Hoshi. The last thing we need is yet another infection. The last virus went right through the ship."
"Ok sir," she nodded.
~o~
Finally, she was in Ensign Sato's quarters. Dr Phlox had taken pity on her and given her medication for a headache.
Fara sat cross legged on Hoshi's bed. She closed her eyes and began to probe the memories of the young woman. She must learn to be more like Hoshi. That Captain Archer calling her out was not ideal. No, she had to be more careful in future. All she wanted was to be closer to Trip Tucker and this was just the way to do it.
