After school, Kanon returned home and sat in her room, where she had flown earlier in the day. Her mother was currently preparing dinner downstairs, so Kanon took this opportunity to try again with the morning incident. She had read many supernatural mangas and knew that using supernatural abilities relied on one's state of mind. If her mind was calm and stable to a certain extent, it could amplify her abilities.

So Kanon put away her bag, changed into comfortable clothes at home, and sat cross-legged on her bed, thinking about the moment she wanted to sleep, when her mind was most relaxed. When she started feeling a bit sleepy, Kanon suddenly became alert and commanded her mind and body to "Fly up."

But she didn't see any changes!

Once again, and then again, and again, until she heard her mother calling from downstairs:

"Kanon! Go take a shower then have dinner, dear!"

"Yes, mom!"

After replying, Kanon grumpily grabbed her clothes and went into the bathroom. While sitting in the bathtub, she kept thinking about why she wasn't successful. Leaning comfortably against the tub, she closed her eyes and relaxed, feeling the warm water enveloping her body, as if she was floating.

Floating?

Kanon suddenly felt cold so she opened her eyes, and saw her naked body floating above the bathtub. She almost screamed with joy but stopped herself, afraid that her mother would burst in. Kanon maintained her position, looking down at the water-filled bathtub, realizing that if she fell, it wouldn't be as soft as landing on a spring mattress. Thinking this, she slowly changed her posture, still not falling. She sat cross-legged in mid-air and silently commanded in her mind, "Descend!" And so, her entire body slowly descended until it touched the water's surface, and she commanded, "Stop!"

And now she was officially sitting on the water's surface. Kanon was overjoyed, finally succeeding. She tried standing up on the water, and it worked. Kanon happily kicked the soap bubbles in the bathtub with her feet, playing around until she felt a chill. Only then did Kanon command her body to fall back into the water, soaking for a while before getting out to eat.

It didn't matter if she didn't become a passerby. Currently, she was a little supporting character but had some self-defense abilities. Even though this world seemed incredibly peaceful and stable, who knew what the reality was like.

Kanon happily ate her meal, happily did her exercises, happily went to sleep, and the next morning, happily looked at the bright and happy face along with the bandaged arm of the student council president Nokoru who was standing next to a familiar senpai. Both of them were surrounded by a group of female students inquiring about something.

Oh, so the mission to dating and escaping from the kidnappers' hideout with Suoh was over now, right?

Because she was currently in a very good mood, she didn't even avoid the sparkling gaze of Nokoru. Responding with a thumbs-up, she turned and walked back to the classroom when suddenly, she bumped into someone.

"Oh, sorry!"

She apologized, it was her fault for not paying attention to her surroundings.

"It's okay!"

She looked up and saw a handsome face, groomed with side parted black hair, one side of his hair was swept shorter, giving him a slightly cool look. His deep and cold black eyes gazed down at her, his voice sounded aloof yet still carrying a hint of childishness in his tone. Kanon only reached up to his chest, so if estimated, he must be in the same grade as Suoh or Nokoru. There's even a letter Z on his uniform collar. This character didn't exist in the anime, but she couldn't help but felt that he was not simple either. He casually said it's fine, then turned to look at Nokoru and Suoh before finally walking away, his gaze lingering on Suoh longer.

Was there something puzzling about this?

But anyway, she was just a passerby, why should she care? So our new superhero Kanon happily went back to her classroom. Just as she was walking, she heard someone calling her name:

"Kanon-san! Wait for me!"

It was her friend Zansa. Kanon greeted her cheerfully:

"Zansa-san, good morning!"

"You look great this morning, I'm so happy!"

Zansa laughed and said, she had been very worried about her friend since yesterday. Kanon was touched and chuckled as she explained:

"I'm sorry for making you worried, just a small concern but it has been resolved."

"That's great then!"

Chatting for a while, the two girls entered the classroom and took their seats. Zansa continued speaking:

"What did Ichikawa-senpai say to you earlier?"

"Ichikawa? Who?"

"The person who bumped into you. Don't you know?" - Zansa was surprised. "He is also very famous in the school for his calm personality, intelligence, excelling in academics and sports, ranking at the top of 2nd grade, and he's also in Class Z."

Oh, fangirls existed everywhere, Kanon exclaimed, but then she couldn't say anything when Zansa hit the nail on the head with her question:

"So... what's your relationship with the student council?" - Zansa hesitated a bit when asking this question, as it was Kanon's personal matter, but she was curious because the student council president often came to their class looking for Kanon, and there were rumors about Kanon was student council's advisor. "I mean, everyone says you're the student council's secret advisor, some even claim to have seen it with their own eyes, so..."

Kanon glanced at her friend, but then she deflected the question:

"It's a long and complicated story, not like what everyone says."

After saying that, Kanon changed their conversation topic to avoid being questioned further:

"Oh, speaking of that Ichikawa-senpai, so is he in the same class as Takamura-senpai?"

"Yes, I heard they are even rivals. Both of them are descendants of prestigious martial arts clans, the Ichikawa samurai clan and the Takamura ninja clan. They are proud and elite, but for some reason, they see each other as rivals."

"Perhaps it's because their ancestors served different masters but these masters were enemies?"

"It's possible, or maybe it's because they both serve a princess or a noble lady, and secretly have feelings for her, which turned them into enemies?"

"That could be it..."

Kanon was astonished to see her desk surrounded by female classmates, all blushing and excited. They were truly a united group of fangirls. Where there was a romantic scent, fangirls was sure to gather. Kanon discreetly moved aside and took a deep breath, feeling a bit suffocated.

"Hanazaki-san!"

Upon hearing her name called from outside the classroom, Kanon looked out and saw Kyou waving at her.

"Takamura-san! What's going on?"

Hearing Takamura's name, the group of fangirls immediately stopped their lively discussion and turned towards the door. However, as soon as they saw Kyou, they quickly returned to their previous topic, continuing their excitement.

Kanon had nothing else to say and hoped that Kyou wouldn't notice what was happening.

"Hanazaki-san! I have something to ask you!" Kyou said with a slightly awkward but sincere smile, giving off the impression of a shy yet genuine person. Kanon had a good impression of him and pulled him to a row of seats outside the classroom area.

"Go ahead, tell me," Kanon said.

"The archery club is organizing a competition..."

"So, are you planning to participate?"

"Oh, I'm only in first grade and I don't have any achievements yet, but Takamura-senpai is participating, and I really admire him. At the end of the competition, there will be an award ceremony, and the seniors who win prizes will have a few words for the juniors, and the juniors have to respond. I will represent the first-grade class to make a promise to seniors, but... I don't know how to write it. You know, Takamura-senpai is talented in both martial arts and literature, so I want to use beautiful and meaningful words to make a promise to him, especially since we share the same last name. I don't want to embarrass him."

You're such a good kid! Kanon restrained herself from raising her hand to pat Kyou's head.

"I need your help, can you advise me on what to say? I'm really worried, what if I say something wrong..."

Looking at Kyou's worried face, Kanon encouraged him:

"You just speak honestly from your heart and promise to strive and train well. Even if your senpai is talented in literature, he will be touched by your sincerity, so don't worry."

"But..." Kyou still hesitated.

"If you're afraid, you can write it down and bring it here, I'll help you edit it."

"Really?"

"Of course!"

Such a well-behaved child, Kanon happily waved goodbye to Kyou wishing to have a younger brother like him.

After helping Kyou make some amendments to his short speech, Kanon received an honorary invitation to that archery competition, with a prime seat. It was her first time participating in an archery competition, especially one hosted by Clamp School, so surely there would be skilled archers, impressive shots, and exceptionally talented and charming boys. Some might think it was an exaggeration for first-year students, but at Clamp School, it was completely normal.

Kanon's honorary ticket allowed her to bring one more person, so she immediately invited Zansa, her adorable and sweet classmate. Zansa gladly accepted the invitation. As the two girls stepped into the archery grounds, they were greeted by a bustling scene, resembling a festival. And it was all female students, with their mystical and powerful fangirls'energy, gathering in groups to cheer for the archers of the competition. Of course, Takamura Suoh had already garnered a large number of supporters.

On the archery range, the contestants were sitting on cushions, holding their bows with one hand and resting the other on their thighs, displaying a dignified demeanor. Kanon and Zansa were looking for seats on either side of the field when they heard someone calling out to them.

"Kanon-channnnn!!!!!!"

Aww! Kanon was truely plagued by this prolonged and spine-chilling voice. Ever since the great boss Nokoru recruited his capable subordinate, Suoh, the position of advisor for Kanon in the eyes of Kaichou became even more unshakable. And officially, since that day, without her permission, he would directly address her intimately by her name.

"Are you here to watch Suoh's archery competition too?"

Nokoru approached the two girls, politely greeting them, giving a sweet smile to Zansa and then turning to Kanon. He held a folding fan, opening and closing it repeatedly, his clear eyes looking at her inquisitively.

"Just a coincidence, I know someone who is a relative of Takamura-senpai, and he also studies at Clamp School and gave us the ticket."

Hearing her brief explanation, Nokoru nodded.

"You both will sit in the same row as me. Come over here!"

As he said, Nokoru pulled Kanon to sit down next to him in the front row, with Zansa sitting next to her. As soon as they sat down, the announcement over the loudspeaker instructed the audience to settle into their seats for the competition to begin.

Kanon noticed that there were five people sitting on the archery range, and she recognized two of them as Takamura Suoh and the other person, Ichikawa, who had bumped into her the other day. The two of them were sitting next to each other, in the center position of the archers. Kanon silently admired the imposing aura emanating from them, extremely calm and dignified. Who would have known that someone like Suoh would become shy and awkward when it came to the little lady Nagisa. Anyway, that's a matter for later, she would wait and see.

"Suoh seems to be in a good mood today, the results should be good."

Nokoru noticed her staring at Suoh's figure over there, thinking that she cared about him, so he leaned over, whispering in her ear.

"Well, that's good. I also think that senpai will win."

"Hopefully!"

Although Nokoru said that, looking at his cheerful and carefree expression, she knew that he was already 99.99% certain of winning. But that Ichikawa was not to be underestimated, especially with such a hostile attitude towards Suoh. Let's see who would take home the trophy today.

The competition took place with five arrows, each person taking turns to shoot. The final result was determined by the score, with higher points awarded for hitting closer to the bullseye. So whoever hit the bullseye the most would be the winner. However, archery was not just about skill, as it required both physical and mental stamina. And while waiting for their turn after each shot, if someone lost their spirit, lacked concentration, or became complacent, it could affect the outcome.

Kanon anxiously waited to see. Both Suoh and that Ichikawa were performing exceptionally well, eliminating the other three contestants. By the third arrow, both of them had been consistently hitting the bullseye, while the other three had missed the target completely. By the fourth arrow, Suoh and Ichikawa were still tied in score. But when Ichikawa returned to his seat to prepare for the final shot, Kanon noticed something between him and Suoh. It seemed like they didn't say anything to each other, and Kanon only saw Suoh smiling in response, while Ichikawa appeared somewhat frustrated.

In the final round, Suoh shot first, once again hitting the bullseye, causing the entire shooting range to tremble with cheers. Returning to his seat, Suoh closed his eyes and composed himself, showing no signs of agitation after his perfect five shots. Truly the demeanor of someone destined for greatness. Ichikawa followed with his shot, and Kanon felt that he seemed a bit rushed, pulling the bowstring faster than usual. And in terms of strategy, he had already lost. In the end, Suoh naturally emerged as the winner, as Ichikawa's shot landed outside the bullseye, securing him second place.

Looking at the frustrated expression of Ichikawa, Kanon couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He must be under pressure from the matters between the two clans, even though that pressure sounded quite ridiculous. Nokoru, who was beside Kanon, noticed her silent gaze towards Ichikawa, he smiled, saying:

"Ichikawa is quite skilled, but unfortunately, his spirit is not as strong as Suoh's."

"Just with this, it's like he has already lost from the beginning," Kanon replied.

"You're right. Archery is a sport that requires both physical and mental training. It's definitely not easy."

To counter the knowledgeable remarks of the Student council president, Kanon casually asked with a smile:

"Kaichou, with your vast knowledge and exceptional abilities, why haven't you joined any sports clubs?"

Nokoru seemed to choke on his own saliva, as if he had been caught off guard, and silently cursed himself for being so talkative.

"Ah, the student council's work keeps me very busy," he finally replied.

"In that case, how could Takamura-senpai..."

She hadn't finished her sentence when she saw Nokoru stand up, waving his fan towards the stands where the award ceremony was taking place.

"The award ceremony must be starting soon. Let's go watch and congratulate Suoh," he said.

"What happened to Imonoyama kaichou, Kanon-san?" Zansa couldn't help but asked when she saw him running away like a duck. Kanon shrugged nonchalantly.

"I have no idea what happened to him."

And then Kyou rushed over, thanking Kanon for the short but sincere speech that had earned him a pat on the shoulder from the senior that he admired. Kanon smiled encouragingly, making Kyou's soul soar, determined not to embarrass his senior or tarnish the Takamura name.

Watching the little boy standing there, looking at the sky and determining keeping his promise to the sky after receiving encouragement from the person he admired, Kanon couldn't help but chuckle softly, afraid to laugh too loudly and embarrass Kyou.

While absentmindedly stepping back a bit, Kanon bumped into someone again. She turned to apologize but was met with Ichikawa's cold and distant expression. He was still dressed in archery attire, with a quiver on his shoulder, holding a bow in his right hand and a cup in his left.

"Congratulations on coming in second place!"

Kanon deliberately said to provoke this cold-faced person, as she always felt a chill whenever she saw him, as if the whole world owed him something. But contrary to her expectations, Ichikawa didn't react and simply looked at her before gently saying,

"Thank you."

Then he walked away. Kanon watched his lonely figure, while Suoh stood on the award stand, surrounded by congratulations. She suddenly felt a bit sympathetic towards Ichikawa. He didn't get angry at her teasing, it seemed she needed to reassess this person. Zansa, seeing her lost in thought, took her hand and directly led her to Suoh to offer their congratulations.

Another day in this world passed peacefully.
