Winter Vacation

Previously on Sofia The Second:

"Thanks, my Cool Hand Rashid." Violet said.

The next day was the afternoon of the ice dancing recital.

Everyone was doing really well, but nobody could outshine Achim and Sofia the Second.

Achim and Sofia the Second did six stargazer spins in a row which had everyone clapping.

King Axel was really proud of his son for following in his uncle's footsteps.

Now on Sofia The Second:

It was the day after the ice dancing recital, and Prince Achim was waiting outside the school's entrance for his mother, Queen Astrid to pick him up.

When Princess Layla walked up to him.

"You were yesterday afternoon, Achim." Layla complimented.

"Thank you, Layla." Achim said, slightly nervous.

"Why so nervous?" Layla asked, concerned.

"I want to continue being excellent," Achim confessed. "but, I've got butterflies in my stomach, what if I can't keep performing at such a level?"

"You need to relax," Layla suggested. "you're an excellent skater."

"I suppose you're right." Achim admitted as Queen Astrid walked up.

"Are you ready to go, Achim?" Astrid asked.

"Yes, Mother, my bags are all packed and ready to go!" Achim answered.

"You're not m-m-m-moving away, are you?" Layla asked Achim.

"No, of course not!" Achim answered Layla.

"Oh, thank you!" Layla exclaimed, relieved.

"We're sorry to have worried you," Astrid apologized.

"I'm just relieved you're not moving." Layla said as Achim and Astrid smiled.

"We're just taking a little family vacation." the Queen of Northern Albuquerque answered Layla.

"Really? Where to?" Layla asked.

"Freezenburg," Achim sighed. "to visit Aunt Hilde and Uncle Derek, they just had their first baby."

"Their first baby," Layla exclaimed. "how exciting! Is the baby a boy or a girl?"

"Hilde had a daughter," Astrid answered Layla. "and named her Elsa."

"I would love to see her!" Layla gushed.

"I would rather have a tonsil and adenoid ectomy than look after my newborn cousin." Achim grumbled.

"Achim!" Astrid scolded sharply.

"Sorry, Mother." Achim sighed.

Queen Astrid turned to Layla, "Would you and your family like to join ua?" she asked politely.
