Darius kept trying to connect the console to his computer. However, no matter what he did, he couldn't seem to figure out how to get the console to connect. Physically, it seemed connected but Darius' computer said otherwise. It didn't help that he was still using the school's internet since he didn't have enough time to teleport to a safer area.

"Why can't I find it at all?"

"Darius, this isn't right."

Darius turned around and saw a person that looked like himself. However, this person did not have any powers or weapons on him.

"Who are you?" asked Darius.

"I am you," replied the person. "I am your trial."

"Oh whatever."

Darius waved his doppelganger off but the trial immediately stood between him and his laptop.

"Darius, we both know this isn't right. The console is not yours and the entity you're summoning is too dangerous."

"Shut up."

Darius stabbed his trial with his sword and watched as his doppelganger dissipated in seconds.

"I don't care about what you think is right or not. All I care about is whether my actions are correct in my own eyes."

He continued to search for his desired console until he finally found it. However, before he could start it up, he heard someone calling his name.

"Darius!"

Darius turned around and saw Matt with his sword drawn, ready for combat.

"Step away from the computer."

Darius did not listen and instead used his spare hand to reach his laptop. Before he could touch it though, a glowing white blade appeared and pierced his hand. Grunting, Darius tried to pull out the glowing sword but the weapon would not budge. Looking back at his former friend, he saw that the blade of Heaven's Gate was glowing and controlling the sword that was stuck in his hand.

"I guess I will."

Darius left his laptop and approached Matt. As he did so, the blade stuck in his hand disappeared while Seth took his position with Lance.

"Now," instructed the gunner.

Both Seth and Lance unleashed a barrage of attacks at Darius. The dark swordsman noticed at the last second and began deflecting what he could. Still, it was too much and soon, Darius was forced to open a dark hole to redirect their attacks. While he was doing this, several arrows flew in his direction but missed after he opened another portal that sent the arrows into an unknown location.

Realizing that their attacks could not reach him, Andres and Anna left their original posts and took aim at Darius' laptop in case Darius decided to go back. All the while Edward and Natalie took their positions behind Darius in an attempt to surround him.

"Ah. I see what your plan is."

Darius pointed his sword at Matt.

"Your goal is to keep me away from my laptop until one of you can take the console away from me," stated Darius.

Matt remained silent and only prepared himself for what was coming next.

"Well, good job. You've done just that."

Darius swung his sword while Matt rolled away and began blocking any attack that Darius threw at him. Unlike their previous duel, Matt did not switch weapons and only defended himself from the attacks that Darius kept on throwing. Part way through the battle though, Darius started opening black holes and summoning dark spirits to attack Matt. However, Matt countered each hole by summoning white blades of light of various sizes and sending them towards the holes. Each time a blade made contact, the black holes and their spirits shattered and began looking for a new target. When Darius stopped creating black holes, Matt's swords dissipated for the time being. After a while the two finally locked blades as a test of strength.

"Darius, I know how you feel," yelled Matt.

"Really?"

"Yes. I do. I used it before too. The power, the strength, and the abilities it comes with," answered Matt. "It feels so good."

Darius smiled upon hearing the last part. Matt was right, the sword had given him all that he ever wanted. He even felt good about it.

"But you'll lose yourself. The feelings it gives you are like a drug. You keep giving up more and more of your soul until finally, you've sold your life to it," added Matt.

Darius paused for a moment before answering.

"You're right. This thing is a drug but that's why I like it," responded Matt's former friend. "Some things are worth much more than my own self."

With that Darius broke the blade lock and slammed his blade against Heaven's Gate. The impact of the blow was strong but it wasn't enough to break either sword. However, Matt was still thrown back by the force of the blow.

Darius then began running towards Natz and Edward while deflecting various attacks from Seth and Lance. Both mages did their best to slow Darius down with their spells but he either redirected them using black holes or reflected them towards a different direction. In the end, Natz ran out of MP points and resorted to using her staff as a physical weapon. However, her attacks had no effect and Darius destroyed the staff with a single swing of his sword. He then shoved her against a nearby wall before continuing forward.

Edward on the other hand, managed to push Darius back a little with Seraphim but he too ran out of MP points and followed Natz's lead. Unlike Natz though, Edward's swings were not random hammer type smashes but swift spinning thrusts and blocks. Every blow that made contact with Darius caused him to spit out a dark black liquid from his mouth, but otherwise had no effect. Eventually, Edward's own physical energy gave out and soon, he dropped his staff and collapsed on the floor.

Undeterred, Darius simply pushed both mages aside and continued towards his goal. Just as he was about to reach it, a barrage of elemental arrows struck him and forced him to open a black hole to retreat to safer cover. By now, he was exhausted as his constant use of black holes was taking a toll on his body. He knew that if he was going to reach his laptop, he would need to eliminate everyone that was stopping him. Taking a few deep breaths, Darius opened up another black hole and teleported himself to Andres and Anna's location.

Once he stepped out, he was immediately struck with a barrage of arrows from both of the archers. However, the damage was quickly repaired by his sword's powers and he began deflecting each one of their arrows. Upon seeing this, Andres stopped shooting arrows and began using some spells in hopes of causing some damage to Darius.

"Gaia bloom."

A green flower-like symbol appeared and multiplied around Darius. However, it had no effect on the swordsman Darius shrugged off the spell as if it were a coat of dust. He then swung his sword at Anna and followed up with a punch. The initial swing missed her but his punch connected with her gut and caused her to collapse in pain. Though he wanted to check up on his teammate, Andres knew that doing so would allow Darius to leave the fight and reach his laptop.

"Whirlwind."

Andres summoned a miniature tornado that blew Darius back by a few feet before readying his bow for his ultimate attack.

"Power Blast."

Andres released the arrow right into Darius' heart. However, the arrow never made contact as Darius caught the arrow and threw it right back at Andres, creating an explosion so powerful, the whole building shook as if an earthquake had just hit it. Once the dust cleared, Darius saw Andres attempting to reach Gaia's bow only to give up after a few seconds. Walking over, Darius attempted to finish the job but was struck with a large amount of gunfire before he could reach Andres and was forced to retreat.

Afterwards, Seth ran over to Andres to check his vital signs. After a few seconds, he gave Lance a thumbs up and got out a medkit.

"Matt. Andres and Anna are down. They're both okay but the damage has rendered them both unconscious," reported Lance.

"Can you move them out?" asked Matt.

Lance turned to Seth who shook his head.

"Not in this state."

Upon hearing this, Matt sighed and called his brother.

"Seth and Lance, I just contacted my bro and he said he'll take care of them. Can you return to your posts?"

"I don't think we need to," answered Seth.

Darius reemerged from his portal. This time though, there were black glowing slash marks across his body. However, Darius did not seem bothered or affected in any negative way by the marks.

Immediately, both Seth and Lance unloaded their weapons on Darius but he shrugged off their rounds and deflected some of the attacks. In response, Seth split off from Lance and called in several airstrikes on Darius. However, none of the bombs reached him as Darius opened a portal that sent them back to Seth. Luckily, the gunner managed to evade the attack and responded by firing several elemental rounds at the swordsman. Though the rounds did nothing, it gave Lance enough time to charge up his cannon and fire it at Darius.

Despite being hit point blank, the attack had no effect and Darius used his sword to damage Lance's rifle. He then casted a symbol on Seth that caused the gunner to collapse in great pain. Turning around, he saw Lance say a few numbers into his radio before giving him the finger.

"Ion Cannon."

Darius looked up just in time to see a powerful yellow beam strike the building and trap him in a very large pile of rubble. Still, it didn't take long for him to emerge from the damage, exhausted but completely unharmed. Grunting, Darius used the last of his energy to open a portal that would take him to his computer but upon exiting, he found himself several feet away from his desired object.

He then took a few moments to catch his breath before Edward re-appeared in front of him.

"Darius, you don't have to do this."

"But I want to."

With that the mage and swordsman began dueling again but just like the others, Edward's attacks did no damage. Regardless, Darius knew the true power of Edward's weapon and prioritized destroying the staff over disabling him and making a break for his laptop.

"Will they be alright?" asked Matt.

"Don't worry. They're in good hands," responded his brother.

David had brought in all his Genshin Impact Character friends and they were all helping him patch up and heal his team.

"How long will it take?"

"A few hours. If you're gonna fight, you're gonna be doing it alone."

Matt nodded before picking up Heaven's Gate and leaving. He needed to end this fight as soon as possible.

Edward was locked in a stalemate with Darius. Every one of his attacks were countered by the swordsman and every time he blocked them, he felt both his and Seraphim's energy being drained. With one final swing, he and Darius locked weapons and to his shock, Seraphim's colors began to change. Additionally, the staff itself began reforming its shape and elemental ability from holy to dark.

Even more shocking was the fact that upon making contact with his new staff, he could feel it drain a large portion of Darius' energy. Once they broke the lock, Darius paused to catch his breath before sending a blast of dark energy towards Edward. Before it could make contact, several hexagons expanded to form and shield and block the blast. A hand took hold of the staff and Edward turned to see Natz completely healed.

"Get some rest. Matt and I will handle this."

Right on cue, Matt reappeared with his sword, Heaven's Gate drawn for battle.

"Let's dance. Seiken!"

Matt created a large sword made of holy energy with an appearance similar to Heaven's Gate and sent it crashing down on his former friend. In response, Darius created several black holes that began sending out dark spirits at Matt. This didn't stop the holy swordsman and Matt created several smaller energy swords to seal up the holes. All the while, Natz used her new staff to send out various support spells to help Matt increase his survival time against his foe.

The two swordsmen clashed their blades several times before Matt summoned NoLegs to distract Darius. Natz recognized this as a signal to use her limit break and immediately used her magic to create a powerful illusion that not only restored her partner's health but also maxed all of the buffs she had given her friend while doing the opposite to Darius.

"Kyun!"

Upon feeling Natz's magic, Matt readied himself for his own limit break. It was now or never. Using one arm to raise Heaven's Gate into the air, Matt channeled all the MP points and energy he had been saving up for one final attack.

"Cleaver!"

Matt made five powerful hits on Darius with his last hit striking Darius' Devil Sunrise, breaking the blade into two. The moment the blade broke, a powerful explosion sent both swordsmen flying into opposite directions.

Once he got back up Matt saw Darius attempting to pick up what remained of his sword while Natz ran over to his side.

"No."

The only thing that remained of the sword was the hilt and any remaining fragments quickly dissipated along with any hopes of repairing it.

"It's over," declared Matt. Despite needing to use Natz as a crutch, he was still more than capable of putting up a fight and winning.

"No," responded Darius. "Not yet."

Before Matt or any of his teammates could do anything. Darius threw himself towards his laptop and started the program.
