Our story begins on the mushroom planet, as a mushroom began rising up from the ground to another mushroom, causing it to tip what appears to be a small rock over. The small rock then bumped into a small mushroom which rolled into another mushroom, which rolled into another, which then bumped into a round rock.
The rock then bumped into a line of four rocks which, one by one, fell into a gear made out of mushroom which after turning made a round bucket tip, releasing water from inside. The water then poured into the bottom of another mushroom tied to a rope, making it lower and hit the ground. The water picked up a tiny mushroom, which floated downhill into a spoon like contraption made out of mushroom which turned and dropped it into another.
The spoon like contraption dropped with the other end rising and bumping into a line of mushrooms that grew in size until the largest landed on a blower like plant which blew at a large round rock; the rock then rolled and bumped into a cable car like contraption, which revealed to be holding something inside. The rock rolled into the background as the cable car contraption was taken downward revealing a cart made out of mushroom.
The cable car contraption bumped into a platform shaped rock and opened to allow the cart to roll out, revealing a smallSoniclike figure in front of it as the rock rolled in the background. The cart rolled forward as it ran into a column of sticks which fell down, making mushroom cups to drop berry like fruit into the cart.
The cart then bumped into a rock, tossing the figure and fruit out, and into a juicer like contraption with thorns in it as the rock dropped on it, crushing the content revealing a classicRobotnikface painted on it. The content was then turned into liquid and poured into a cup, which was picked up byDr. Robotnik.
"Doctor's log. It is day 243 in this... portabello purgatory...", Robotnik said as he sat on a chair in front of hisEggpod, looking at his environment. He then looked down as he held up Sonic's quill and proceeded to stir his drink with it.
"My only companion is a rock I named "Stone."", Robotnik said as looked to the rock. He then looked away, tapping the quill to his cup to dry it off, "The question is...for whom am I narrating this?"
Robotnik stuck his tongue out and put it to the quill, causing it to electrocute him. Then Robotnik began pulling parts out of the engine of his Eggpod, "It seems I have become a feature player in the theater of the absurd. Marooned in deep space by thatwretched blue rodent. But it is all good thanks to a breathable atmosphere and my supreme intellect, sharpened against the only competitor savvy enough to br-r-r-r-ring it", he said.
Then, Robotnik started playing chess with mushrooms as the pieces; he took a mushroom and placed it forward, "Chanterelle to D4", he said to a rock mirror, revealing that he wass playing against himself.
Robotnik lifted the cup in his hand, "I have been striving to make fungi into a functional drink of choice...", he said as he lifted the cup to his nose and he sniffed it, "Mushroom coffee".
Robotnik sipped the mushroom juice only to spit it out afterwards, he tried another batch, only to spit it out as well.
"With limited...success".
Robotnik tried out another cup of mushroom juice, but slowly spat it out in disgust. Then, he started picking rope-like wires out of the Eggpod and walked forward. "But today, day 243 has brought a new optimism to my most pressing endeavor", he said. Then Robotnik was looking at a large mushroom with rods and a pole, making it look like a radio tower or a sattelite transciever.
"Planetus exodus to returnecus and kick blue buttecus!", Robotnik said as he climbed up the mushroom to a monitor screen placed on top of the mushroom tower and proceeded to press a few buttons on the instrument board.
"If my calculations are correct, and there is no reason to say this, because they always are..." he said as he lifted a jumper cable with Sonic's quill in its pincers, "This quill... is going to power my masterpiece".
Robotnik lifted another jumper cable in his other hand, "Lets light this candle... and see who comes a-knocking", he said as he clamped the jumper cable on the quill and energizes the power cable, which bolted with bluechaos energy. The tower subsequently created a shockwave, sweeping a screaming Robotnik off his feet and onto the ground.
Robotnik laid where he fell, unsuspecting aRingportal appearing in front of him. Soon after, a trio of humanoid alien scavengers wearing chicken skulls for helmets and holding spears walked out from the Ring portal and scouted the area.
The head of the trio looked towards Robotnik, tilting its head in curiosity. It proceeded to bend down and move its spear towards the seemingly sleeping man. It then gently pressed the side of his spear on his shirt, before looking to the quill in his hand. Before he can bend down and take it from his hand however, Robotnik's eyes bolted open.
"Greetings!", Robotnik shouted. The scavenger backed away as Robotnik used his other hand and pulled a tarp of grass, revealing his trap. Suddenly, a giant mushroom slammed down, causing the mushrooms around it to spin rapidly, alarming the scavengers.
Suddenly, the lead scavenger unexpectedly stepped into a rope trap, catapulting him screaming into the distance. "Klatuu Barata Nikto!", shouted Robotnik. The other scavenger looked to Robotnik, who kicked a mushroom, causing a giant mushroom stem to slam into the second scavenger, sending him flying away, thus leaving the last scavenger to open its spear to reveal red blades.
The scavenger proceeded to swing them around to intimidate Robotnik, only for him to use hisControl Gloveto make a call. "Agent Stone? Now", he said. The Eggpod engines burned a rope that was connected to a catapult that held "Stone", sending said rock flying and hitting the scavenger in the face, making him fall on his back.
Robotnik got up while looking at the Ring portal, "Thank you Stone! It's time to say goodbye to this...piece of shiitake planet!", he shouted. Robotnik licked the quill, electrocuting himself again before making a beeline for the Ring portal. However, he stopped at the sight of asilhouette.
Robotnik gasped as he stopped in his tracks, falling on his back as a hand, encased in a massive white boxing glove like glove with twin spikes, poked through the portal. The creature the hand belonged to revealed himself to be an anthropomorphic echidna marching with his eyes glowing red.
The echidna walked up to Robotnik before noticing the quill in his palm, "Where did you get that?", he asked. Robotnik looked to the quill in his hand and swiftly lifted it in between their faces, "From a little blue menace on the planet called Earth. I'd be happy to show you the way", he said.
Everything in the area was white in an endless void of nothingness, where Anne and the planters were passed out on the ground, but Anne opened her eyes right after the whiteness faded away. She slowly lifted herself from the grassy ground, and looked around the area, she appeared to be in Forest judging by the endless Stretching thinly from 3 sides. Before looking straight at a light in front of her, She focused her eyes on his friends.
"Guys, guys, wake up!" She said, shaking them as they finally woke up.
Sprig was first to stand up as he groaned and looked around, along with the tadpole Polly, and the old geezer, Hopidiah.
"Wow, Anne," he announced, "I didn't expect your world to have a lot of trees and snow."
"Uh.. " She answered. "This is not what I last remembered."
Anne saw a light at the end of the forest. She walked slowly while the Plantars followed her. As she got closer to the light, she was on a cliff and saw the town nearby.
"Where the heck are we?" she asked herself.
Meanwhile, not far from the town was a house. In the attic, it was filled with lightbulbs in the ceiling, a bean bag, two signs, a TV, a dresser with a lamp on top of it, and a bed. Sonic, the blue alien, was in the bed, waking up from his slumber. He lifted his torso and stretched his arms before jumping out of the bed and dashing down the stairs, leaving a blue trail behind him.
The hedgehog noticed nobody was home.
"They're on vacation, silly me." Sonic says and goes to the kitchen and warmed up some chili dogs. Sonic smirked and ate them.
Sonic smirked again, ready for an early run and rushed off.
He runs across Green Hills with a smile and passes by Wade. "Morning, Wade!" Sonic says.
"Morning, Sonic!" Wade says.
Meanwhile, some leftover drones flew around and spotted Anne with the Plantars as they surrounded them.
"Okay, time to kick butt!" Polly says as they open fire at Anne and the Planters, whose reflexes kick in as they leap away.
"Anne, use your glowy powers!" Polly says.
"I can't!" Anne says as she avoids more bullets before suddenly, a blue blur rammed into one of them and zoomed over, bashing into another one. The blue blur then rammed into the last two, causing explosions.
"Heh." Sonic said as Anne gasped.
"What?" Anne asked.
"Who is that?" Hop Pop asked.
"Talking Frogs oh introductions I'm Sonic a little ball of super energy in an extremely handsome package." Sonic says.
"Oh uh, hi. I'm Anne, Anne Boonchuy." Anne says "And these are The Plantars. This is Sprig, Polly and Hop Pop."
" Cool! Anyway, do you have any hiding spots?" Sprig asked
"We would appreciate it." Hop Pop says.
"I got it." Sonic says and tossed a ring as the other side showed Sonic's room.
"Wow!" Anne and the Plantars say.
"Yeah, I know, come on." Sonic says. They jump into the ring as it closes.
Anne and the Plantars look around.
"Nice room." Polly says.
"Thanks and enjoy your stay at Casa de Sonic." Sonic says
Anne giggled at that.
Meanwhile, a fox named Tails leaped out of a ring as he looked at the miles of electricity.
"If these readings are accurate, he's here. I found him. I just hope I'm not too late!" He says as he spun his twin tails and flew off, leaving an orange blur.
Tails soon hid in a bush.
"I need to get to Sonic without alerting anyone." Tails says and sees a police car.
Meanwhile, Sonic was showing Anne a movie.
"We can watch anything but Snow Dogs, because it's the worst!" Sonic says.
Anne giggled as the movie began. Sprig was about to fall asleep when the power went out.
"Oh, maybe it's a ghost!" Polly says.
" I hope it's pizza" Sprig says as they slowly head to the door as it was getting drilled
As the door opened to show robotnik
" I told you I'd be home before Christmas " he says.
